Never forget this absolute banger of a Mamoru Uchiyama illustration, it’s got So Much
It has:
-Child Ace who is clearly old enough to stand up for this picture, but either Ken refused to put him down for the photo or Ace is very clingy with his new dad
- Very Short Zoffy with star-marks but no ultra breastars (the ones on the white/silver of his shoulders), which makes sense; the ultra breastars are the medals marking him as the Commander of the Garrison. The star-marks are medals for acts of military heroism; it’s rare enough that it’s similar to the Medal of Honor in the US military, we only know like 3-4 ultras who have them.
-Man and Seven wrestling in the background, it might be training but they’re young enough it’s probably still more play-fighting than anything. Jack looks like he’s refereeing!
-Mister Uchiyama sir who’s that statue of, who is that, is that King? Is it Zoffy’s dad? Is it another war hero, is it someone else entirely?
-OOPS BACK TO ZOFFY look how young he is, he’s got the highest military honor the Garrison has and he hasn’t even had his growth spurt yet. Zoffy at his full adult height is the same height as Ken (45 meters). Sure he may be standing behind Ken, so maybe that’s shortened him (?), but like…not by a lot
-the two kids goofing around on the steps, the kid at the bottom looks so concerned. I just like that a lot
-random greenery on the Land of Light; we’ve seen rocky parts of the planet and full-city parts, it’s nice to see some greenery in places
-“wait this looks more like U-40 than M-78–” shhhhhhhhhh, shh shh shh. Let us have this
