Gunbai
The uchiwa gunbai was a war fan carried by high-ranking military leaders and generals during battle to communicate commands on battlefield. However since they were made from tougher materials like iron or hardwood they could withstand the blows of swords and arrows and were actually used as a weapon as well. One of known user of gunbai was Takeda Shingen, whom used it to fight in the fourth battle of Kawanakajima against daimyo Uesugi Kenshin. As he did not have time to grab a sword, he used his gunbai to fend off the enemy forcing him to retreat. Supposedly he managed to land number of blows with it.

Many of them were decorated with family crests as well as dragons, sun, moon and constellations, sanskrit characters and quotations from Sun Tzu's 'the Art of War.' Also they are still used in present day in sumo wrestling by referees.

May I have a Teen MC request pls in which MC pulls a Mulan (by secretly dressing up as one of her brother's soldiers and causing an avalanche onto the enemy)? Of course, she gets caught by the said Warlord as she tries to escape during the battle (so it would appear as if she never left the campsite). I know that the Warlords would both be angry yet impressed by her stunt (and that she's also okay).
Thnks anyway!
Hello! And yes, I agree. This is a really cool and interesting concept. Thank you for the request!
Teen!MC pulling a mulan.
Oda forces.
Nobunaga Oda.
It’s needless to say that Nobunaga wouldn’t be very happy… at first glance. He will use his authoritative voice when he calls you, which will make you scared and sure that he will scold you. The serious way he is looking at you also doesn’t help.
However, before you can try to explain, Nobunaga will pat your head and congratulate you, a wide smirk on his face. His little sister is very fierce, after all.
Hideyoshi Toyotomi.
Hideyoshi will raise his voice, though not too much, when scolding you. He will look more like a parent than your older brother, his hands will be on his hips as he nags.
What if you got hurt? What if the enemy attacked you? What if that avalanche had managed to bury you? He can’t stress enough reasons as to what could have happened.
Mitsuhide Akechi.
Mitsuhide will be surprisingly serious for once, asking you if you even have a brain between your ears. He isn’t one to scold, that’s Hideyoshi’s job, but you were in serious danger.
However, even though he will be angry, he will still praise you for doing a good job, even if it was a sloppy one.
Ieyasu Tokugawa.
Ieyasu isn’t one to nag either, but he will make you feel bad, he was worried about your safety and couldn’t believe you would sneak in as one of his soldiers.
Still, Ieyasu can’t stay angry at his young sister, so he will pat your head and tell you to go to your tent and reflect on what you did.
Mitsunari Ishida.
You might think Mitsunari won’t scold you, right? Wrong, he will. The difference is that he won’t be scary while doing so. Instead he will go on about how much he was worried and how important you are to him, Mitsunari will become more clingy towards you as to make sure you don’t leave his side.
You will feel a bit bad for making Mitsunari worry so much, he truly was afraid of losing his sister.
Masamune Date.
Masamune will be… conflicted, he doesn’t know whether he should praise you or ask if you are crazy.. which will also receive praise from him. He believes that it is important that you have surviving skills like that, since he wasn’t sure if he could be by your side to protect you.
He can’t really stay mad at you, so he will encourage you (which will make Hideyoshi scold him for being a bad influence).
Ranmaru Mori.
Ranmaru isn’t one to scold at all, instead he will hug you tightly while saying how worried he was, he isn’t used to being a big brother so he isn’t sure how to go on about scolding you.
He will more likely pout at you while making an attempt at scolding you, which will remain an attempt.
Keiji.
Keiji’s mask will fall, he will scold you a lot, clearly angry that you were that reckless. Sure, he will praise you for your idea, but that doesn’t change the fact that you almost died.
He will wait to calm down first so that he can praise you properly.
Uesugi-Takeda alliance.
Kenshin Uesugi.
Kenshin will be another one who will be conflicted, on one hand he is proud of his little sister for fending their enemies like that, with such a great plan, but on the other hand he almost lost you. He won’t have the heart to scold you, instead he will tighten security around you.
Shingen Takeda.
Shingen will be on the same page as Kenshin, but instead he will be able to scold you properly. He doesn’t raise his voice but makes his worries clear (aka I am not mad, just disappointed).
He will praise your idea, though. You managed to think fast in a situation like that… maybe he should train his little sister in the arts of war.
Yukimura Sanada.
Yukimura will have more reason to call you a boar girl, crazy enough to defeat a whole army by starting an avalanche. He will also see potential for you to train with him, but don’t think he isn’t panicking.
He will ask if you really are crazy, only to receive a hit on his arm from you.
Yoshimoto Imagawa.
Yoshimoto doesn’t scold, and that’s because he has no energy for it. He will, however, give you the silent treatment for a while until you apologize for sneaking in battle. Then he will pull you into a tight hug, happy that you were ok.
Sasuke.
It’s hard to know whether Sasuke is scolding you or praising you. He will be more worried, while also saying you were just like mulan.
He is the kind of big brother that wouldn’t scold you, but would remind you to be more careful the next time you do something like this.
Kanetsugu.
You thought Hideyoshi was scary when scolding? Kanetsugu is worse. He will not only scold you but he will also punish you by grounding you to reflect on what you did. Perhaps it becomes worse because of the tone of his voice and how serious his face was.
Lone forces.
Motonari Mouri.
Motonari will give you a light hit on the back of your head, nothing that would really hurt but it caught your attention. He will scold you angrily, not happy that you tried doing something reckless.
Still, he recognizes your talents, so he will warm up to the idea of training you, you had a lot to learn from him.
Kennyo.
Kennyo scolds but not in a scary way… much. He really just tries telling you that you are still too young to be running off to battle like that, not experienced enough and that if you were only patient enough, he would teach you how to be a soldier.
… on second thought, you are his little sister, no way would he want you anywhere near the battlefield.
Kichou.
Kichou’s approach would be much like Nobunaga’s, but instead of unexpectedly praising you, he will give you the scolding of your life, to the point where you call him “sir” or “lord” instead of big brother.
Deep down it all comes from genuine worry.

Can you do a headcannon of what Masamune, Shingen, Kenshin, Nobunaga, Ieyasu, Kennyo, Mitsuhide and Mitsunari will react if the MC were to give them flowers instead of them giving her them?
It's Nobunaga's birthday, so here's some headcanons (with some other warlords). Hope you enjoy!
SUITOR'S REACTION WHEN READER GIFTED THEM FLOWERS (Masamune, Shingen, Kenshin, Nobunaga, Ieyasu, Kennyo, Mitsuhide, Mitsunari)
Masamune Date
He was surprised. No one had ever gifted him flowers before, let alone a lass as beautiful as you. When he first saw you with the bouquet, his initial thought was that they were for someone else. His hand found the hilt of his sword, ready for a fight for your love. But then you presented the bouquet to him. He placed the flowers in a vase in his room, a small part of him sad there was no battle for your love.
Shingen Takeda
Shingen was impressed. It was normally he who gifted the flowers, not the other way around. Flattered by your gift, he found himself enjoying this role-reversal, hoping to receive more thoughtful gifts from you in the future. As a thank you, Shingen took one of the blooms, broke off the stem, and tucked the flower behind your ear.
Kenshin Uesugi
Kenshin was afraid. Why were you holding those flowers - did they hurt you in some way? Ready with his trusty sword in hand to cut down the plant that dared harm his love, he blinked in surprise when you laughed and told him the flowers were a gift for him. After sheathing his sword, he asked for your help in putting the flowers in a vase.
Nobunaga Oda
Nobunaga was happy. It was his birthday, after all. After a day of receiving numerous, extravagant gifts, it was refreshing to receive something so beautifully simple from his lover. Or maybe it was because it was from you that it was his favorite gift that day. Now if only you had stashed some konpeito in the bouquet somewhere.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Ieyasu was grumpy. Why did you have to give him flowers? Now he had to find a vase to put them in - did you think he had things like that handy in his bedroom? And make sure they had water. And get you a gift in return. Oh, why did you have to give him these silly, pretty flowers?
Kennyo
Kennyo was flattered. What a beautiful gift from his beautiful lover. He marveled over the pastel shades of the petals and the sense of serenity he felt just by looking at them. He placed the flowers in his bedroom (unlike some of the warlords in the Oda forces, Kennyo actually owned a vase) on a table near his bed so that every night when he went to bed, your flowers were the last thing he saw, and when he woke up in the morning, they were the first thing he saw.
Mitsuhide Akechi
Mitsuhide was mischievous. Mitsuhide was not used to receiving gifts, let alone a bouquet of flowers. Was this just an innocent gift? Were you rewarding him for the prank he pulled on Mitsunari the other day? He hoped it was for the latter - he would happily pull any number of pranks to bring a smile to your face.
Mitsunari Ishida
Mitsunari was flustered. Flowers? For him? Was this some kind of prank? (He's still getting over being pranked by Mitsuhide the other day). Once he got over his initial confusion and realized that these flowers were a genuine gift for him, he thanked you profusely for said bouquet. He particularly liked the various shades of purple in the bouquet and found a nice spot to display them in his room.

Congrats on your follower milestone!
Kanetsugu, Fake marriage trope? You can do whichever you like, but if I'm really forced to pick, fluff! I know he's a newbie but I know you'll do great! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Alright, first fic in my 300 follower celebration. And also my first fic for Kanetsugu (who I totally fell in love with upin reading his route)! Alright here we are.
Thank you @limonzu for the request! This was a fun one to write! ANd thank you for following me and appreciating my work!
A fluffy Kanetsugu and the fake marriage trope. No warnings just fluff.
Married For the Night
It was in the aftermath of an insane battle, our base camp had been overrun and I had been separated from the Uesugi-Takeda forces, who, despite initially being enemies of the Oda forces, had been nothing but kind to me…despite me being a hostage. Kanetsugu, my watcher, and constant companion had become someone I cared for.
Somehow, I had managed to get away from the enemy, but now I was lost in the woods, tired, hungry and cold and the light was quickly fading. It was at this moment, I could hear what sounded like footsteps in the forest behind me.
Despite how tired and lost I was, hearing those footsteps sent a fresh shot of adrenaline through me. I picked up my pace and began to run…but I wasn’t fast enough. I soon felt someone grab onto my arm and I was yanked back. Before I could even think to scream, a hand was clamping over my mouth.
“Quiet you foolish girl.” The familiar voice hissed in my ear.
My racing heart instantly calmed upon hearing Kanetsugu’s voice and realizing it was he who was holding me. My back was pressed to his as he held me firmly against him. That was when I realized we were hiding behind a tree. I heard what sounded like footsteps passing us by.
We stood there in silence for what felt like forever before Kanetsugu was finally releasing me. “Are you alright?” He asked me, his tone surprisingly gentle.
I nodded. “Yeah…just…tired.” I replied.
“There’s a village nearby.” He said. “We’ll take shelter there for the night. Then in the morning, we’ll be able to start searching for everyone else.”
“Okay.” I agreed.
Kanetsugu was then taking me by the hand and leading me through the forest. Before we arrived in the village, Kanetsugu was removing his armor and hiding it carefully in the forest. “The villagers are wary of warriors.” He said. “We’ll have an easier time hiding out if they think we are refugees…which with the current state of your kimono won’t be hard to believe.”
I looked down at my once beautiful kimono to see it covered in dirt and debris, tears from my trek through the forest, and singed in places from the fires in the camp. I’m sure the rest of me matched the state of my kimono.
I just nodded, figuring it would be best to go along with whatever his plan was. I was honestly having a hard time finding words. I was tired, sore, and scared. I had come close to being grabbed by someone who would not treat me so well as a hostage as Kanetsugu and the others had.
By the time we reached the village, night had completely fallen. It was a small farming village and there appeared to be no inn. We found ourselves knocking on the door of one of the farm houses.A kindly old man and his wife answered the door, a lantern in hand.
“I’m sorry for knocking on your door and at such a late hour,” Kanetsugu began, “but we have been on the run for quite some time now and…”
There was a gasp from the old woman as she looked at us. “Dear, we must let them in. Look at these poor dears…especially the wife.” The old woman said.
The old man looked at his wife and nodded. “Of course, dear.” He agreed. He then turned to us, a kind smile on his face. “We’d be happy to give you food and shelter. We have a spare room.”
“Thank you.” Kanetsugu replied. “My wife and I appreciate it.”
Though I was in a state of shock and tiredness from the battle and the run, I was being pulled from that by a new shock…this old couple thought we were married?! And Kanetsugu wasn’t correcting them?!
The couple led us inside and to their spare room. They were then going about bringing in some fresh clothes for us as well as a large water basin filled with freshly warmed water. “We don’t have a bath house or anything, but this should be enough for you two.” The old woman said with a smile as she laid out towels.
“Thank you, that is very kind of you.” Kanetsugu said, bowing in gratitude.
“I’ll go fix something to eat while you two get cleaned up and take your time.” The old woman said. “I remember when we were newlyweds.” She was then giving a wink before she and her husband were leaving.
Once we were alone, I was looking over at Kanetsugu. “Wife?” I asked, looking at him in disbelief.
He shrugged. “It makes sense.” He said. “Besides, they just assumed and it is a good cover story.”
“But you didn’t correct them.” I pointed out. “And now…how are we supposed to get cleaned up and changed? They think..they think…”
Kanetsugu let out a sigh. “You can go first. I will keep my back to you.” He was then making a show of turning around to face the door.
“Okay…but by the time I’m finished the water will be cold.” I pointed out. “You should go first.”
“And have you deal with cold water?” Kanetsugu replied, letting out another sigh. “Fine. here.”
The next thing I knew, we were both sitting next to the large basin, towels wrapped around us and our backs to each other. We each had a wash cloth in hand. Despite doing his best to make sure we were both afforded privacy, I could still feel my heart pounding and my face glowing bright red…honestly probably my entire body.
“Well now, you better hurry up if we don’t want the water to grow cold.” Kanetsugu said.
I could hear him dipping his cloth in the water. “R-right…” I replied, my voice cracking with embarrassment.
“If you don’t get to washing, I will have to wash you.” Kanetsugu threatened.
“N-no. No need for that.” I squeaked, reaching behind me to dunk the cloth into the water and then bringing it over my face and arms, washing away the grime and ick of the battle and my run through the forest.
The warm water did feel nice as I moved it over my skin and aching muscles…oh how I wished I could just dunk myself in a nice hot spring…but this sponge bath was enough for now. Of course… there was also the fact that I was HIGHLY aware of Kanetsugu behind me…and the fact that we were both naked save for small towels wrapped around us…part of me couldn’t help but to imagine taking a peak…I mean Kanetsugu was always covered with pretty much his face and fingers being the only exposed parts of his body.
“You had better not be thinking any inappropriate thoughts over there, foolish girl.” Kanetsugu warned me.
“Pfft…I-I was…not!” I lied. “I…I was just thinking…how embarrassing this is.”
Kanetsugu chuckled lightly. “Just finish up.”
We finished washing up in silence, the sounds of the water and the washcloths moving over our skin the only thing filling the room. It felt like forever before we were finally done and putting some clothes on.
Once we were dressed, Kanetsugu was looking at me. “Sit.” He ordered, gesturing to a spot in front of him.
“W-what…why?” I asked.
“Just sit.” He told me. “With your back to me.”
Confused, I followed his instructions.Soon, I felt his hands in my hair, fingers working through it. “W-what…”
“I am fixing your hair.” He replied. “We don’t have a comb, so my fingers are the next best thing.”
“O-o-okay…” I replied, feeling tingles running down my spine as his fingers gently combed through my hair. “Th-thank...you.”
“We can’t have you looking a mess when we go to join our hosts for dinner.” Kanetsugu replied.
“I suppose you’re right…”
Soon he had finished combing through my hair and we were heading out of the room to join the elderly couple currently giving us shelter in the main room off of their kitchen. The old woman was bringing out a tray of tea while her husband carried a tray filled with food.
“Some nice warm stew and tea ought to help the both of you.” The old woman said as she and her husband sat the trays down.
“That sounds lovely.” I replied, feeling a bit better after getting cleaned up. “Thank you…and for all of the kindness.”
The old woman gave me a warm smile. “We are just glad to help.” She replied. “And I am glad to see you seem to be feeling a bit better.”
We were all soon digging into the food and sipping the tea. The warmth of the food suffused me down into my bones. It was soothing and comforting. “This is a god brew.” Kanetsugu commented. “Thank you.”
“And the stew is good.” I added.
“Thank you. I know it’s not much, but I am glad to be of help.” The old woman said.
As we ate, I could feel Kanetsugu’s eyes on me. I felt a bit self-conscious and looked over at him. “Do I have something on my face?” I asked him.
“No.” He answered, simply.
The old woman chuckled. “Oh you two are a lovely couple.” She said. “It’s so good to see a young girl with such a caring husband.”
Kanetsugu and I both instantly looked away from each other, my cheeks reddening. If I was not mistaken I think his were too. Kanetsugu let out a cough.
“Dear, don’t embarrass them.” The old man said.
“What? Young love is so sweet.” She replied. “They remind me so much of us when we first wed.”
The old man gave her a kind smile and took her hand in his, bringing it to his lips to place a kiss on the back. You could clearly see the years of love and happiness the pair had shared by the way they looked at each other…that warmed me in a way no food or tea could. A natural smile came to my face as I looked at them.
After we finished eating, Kanetsugu and I went back to the room they had prepared for us. The tub was gone and now a fresh futon was laid out for us. “Make yourself comfortable.” Kanetsugu told me. “I’ll keep watch, just in case.”
“A…are you sure?” I asked.
“Yes, now get some rest.” Kanetsugu told me. “Or do you need me to make you into a caterpillar again?”
“N-no…I’m fine.” I replied, slipping into the futon and getting comfortable, pulling the cover up to my chin. Of course…I was finding myself having a hard time getting to sleep despite how exhausted I felt.
“I promise, you are safe.” Kanetsugu told me and I felt him settling down next to the futon. “I won’t allow anyone to hurt you.”
“I…I’m just…”
I soon felt my head being moved and the next thing I knew, my pillow had been replaced by Kanetsugu’s lap. “You need to rest.” He told me. I then felt his hand resting on my back as he began to massage his fingers in soothing circles…and then I was further surprised by the sound of a beautiful voice, singing a sweet lullaby.
I looked up at Kanetsugu, my eyes wide with surprise. He stopped his singing. “I thought this might be a preferable way of getting you to sleep.” He told me. “Now settle in for the night.” He was then brushing a hand over my eyes to close them and resuming his singing.
I had to admit…his touch was rather comforting and his singing voice soothing. “Where did you learn…to sing lullabies like that?” I asked around a yawn.
“I used to care for my younger brother.” He answered. “Now stop fighting sleep like a child and go to sleep already.”
“Alright…” I agreed. “And…thank you.”
Kanetsugu resumed his singing once again, his hand still rubbing my back. I cracked my eyelids ever so slightly and afforded myself one last look at Kanetsugu…the look on his face as he looked down at me was so gentle…and as I drifted off to sleep..and I was reminded of the way the old man looked at his wife…and that was the last thought I had before the exhaustion caught up to me and sleep claimed me. His kind smile filled my dreams that night.

日本の歴史366 Day 11
1月11日 Summary:
Have you ever heard of the Japanese proverb "Give salt to your enemies?" No? Well, neither did I until today. This phrase comes from the time that Uesugi Kenshin (daimyo of Echigo Province during the Sengoku period) delivered salt to his longtime rival, Takeda Shingen, (daimyo of the Kai province) after everyone else had blocked him from salt imports. Uesugi says that wars are to be fought with bows and arrows, not salt. Uesugi doesn't believe in using such underhanded tactics to win war (supposedly lmao).

Hideyoshi's Sequel Summary - Common Route (Ch 1-6)
This is a loosey-goosey summary of Hideyoshi's sequel from what I remember after blasting through about 2 routes in 1.5 days due to the election, haha. Some little portions may be very slightly out of order and I have probably left out some of the less plot-relevant moments/interactions but the general gist of everything should be right.
Also this is nearly 4k words I'm so sorry
Warnings:
Described gore/gruesomeness
A suicide attempt
Continuations:
Tragic End | Blissful End | Passionate End
As all Ikesen sequels do, Hideyoshi's starts out with Mai returning to Azuchi following the attack on Nobunaga's castle and her travel guide blank. As she tries to make her way to the others, worried, she is surrounded by a group bandits who look to be in the human trafficking business and taking advantage of the chaos in Azuchi. Just as she's about to try making a break for it, Hideyoshi comes swooping in and saves the day, beating down all of the bandits singlehandedly. After Mai is saved, they share a sweet reunion and moment together. However, they are being watched in that moment by spies that Kicho had planted in Azuchi...
Later, Mai sits in on a war council. Unrest is rising in surrounding territories due to the attack on Azuchi, and the warlords have their hands full dealing with them all. Although the conflict with the Ikko-Ikki is dealt with (following Hideyoshi's eternal route) and a ceasefire has been brokered with the Uesugi-Takeda forces in the meantime, not all is well. Busiest of all is Hideyoshi, who is sent every which way in order to help act as a mediator between various uneasy and discontent factions. During this time, Mai is also introduced to Keiji, who reports that Kicho was the one behind the attack on Azuchi and that he is working together with the presumed-dead Motonari. The pair appear to be distributing weaponry, especially guns, to the populace: a sample has been procured and Nobunaga looks to Mai, asking her whether she thinks she, with no training, could use this. Mai herself is very uneasy about the thought of actually using a gun to hurt someone, but she knows that a gun isn't actually all that difficult to use. She answers that she would be able to use the pistol with minimal training, confirming Nobunaga's suspicions.
Everyone gets busy. Hideyoshi leaves to go help mediate between factions in a bordering province, and Mai has a full day of seamstress work ahead of her at Azuchi Castle. They shared a goodbye kiss as is usual, but Hideyoshi jolts as if startled. He said he felt something on his lips as they kissed. Mai didn't notice anything, and suggests that maybe it was some static? After a quick explanation of what static buildup is, they dismiss it since it doesn't seem to be anything major, and go their separate ways.
As Mai works, Ieyasu and Mitsunari drop by with a request to mend their clothes too. Mai accepts, and after a moment of silence, Ieyasu remarks that Hideyoshi really was right. He'd asked them to check in on Mai to make sure she wasn't working herself too hard in his absence. But, well, the request to mend their clothes was still real. They're both so busy with riding back and forth between one potential uprising and the next that their clothes are wearing out fast. That just gives Mai more fuel for thought and worry, hoping that Hideyoshi is all right out there. Mai quickly finishes up the repairs on Ieyasu and Mitsunari's clothes, but just as she's handing the clothes back to them, something about her fingers seems to jolt them too. It's not painful, but it is startling. But alas, duty calls, and they leave soon as well.
Later Hideyoshi returns, unharmed and just as eager to see Mai again as she is to see him. They have their moment together, and spend a very enjoyable night with each other. However, come morning... Hideyoshi reaches out to touch Mai, but immediately pulls back in pain. He's frantic as he asks if she's okay, but she hasn't noticed anything strange at all. However, there's no way to brush this off anymore. They quickly call the warlords to an emergency meeting in order to explain the situation: people who touch Mai seem to experience pain.
Of course, this sounds unbelievable, so it is proposed that they test it out. Mai doesn't like the idea of hurting the others, but Ieyasu talks her into covering all their bases in order to better understand this strange illness(? if it is an illness, anyway). So one by one Mai takes turns touching the different warlords, and almost everyone displays a strong reaction, with Hideyoshi seeming the worst off. Keiji, however, reports only a slight irritation where Mai touched him. After some thought and one more experiment where Nobunaga summons a complete stranger to Mai for her to touch, they work out that the closer Mai is with someone, the more pain they feel. Keiji, who was just an acquaintance, only feels a mild irritation, while the maid who was completely unfamiliar to Mai felt nothing at all. And her lover, Hideyoshi, is hurt worst of all.
Mai is completely horrified by the idea that her touch and presence could hurt people, so she runs out of the meeting hall in devastation. Hideyoshi runs after her, but she says not to come closer and shurts herself away in her room. But Hideyoshi is there, standing just outside the door. If she wants space, that's all right, he'll give her space. But she just has to remember that he will always be there for her and that she isn't alone.
The next day, Nobunaga summons the both of them to his chambers for a meeting. Supposedly, there is a hot springs in the mountains that has some spiritual healing powers. Nobunaga tells Mai she should go there in order to recover and recuperate, and Hideyoshi should go with her. She expresses surprise that Nobunaga would believe in such things, but Nobunaga says he doesn't, actually. But this is a stressful situation for her to be in, and she's obviously distressed by the possibility of coming into contact with someone and hurting them. It may do her some good to spend some time away from Azuchi and that possibility, let her calm down in a relaxing hot spring, and give Hideyoshi some time off after he's been run ragged trying to keep a full blown uprising from starting these past few weeks. It's Nobunaga's way of giving the lovebirds some time to themselves, basically.
So they set off, with the other warlords seeing them off as they ride away. Masamune packed some bentos for them, Ieyasu made medicine, Mitsuhide shows up with water supplies, etc etc. Some requisite teasing and banter ensues, of course, but it's a relatively lighthearted departure. Mai notes that she doesn't seem to be causing the horse any pain by touching it, and Hideyoshi is careful to avoid direct skin contact as they ride together, so everything is going well.
Up until it doesn't.
Partway through the journey, they are attacked by a group of ruffians, declaring that they've found the Sacrificial Princess and to hand her over. It doesn't take long to figure out that they're referring to Mai, and that they intend to kill her, believing her to be someone who brings misfortune and suffering to everyone around her, and to the nation as a whole. They intend to sacrifice her to appease the heavens, who were angry at Nobunaga for his conquest over the lands and were thus punishing people by giving rise to all the unrest and violence as of late. Hideyoshi, of course, believes that it's all bullshit and does not entertain the thought of handing Mai over for even a second. However, their attackers are all adamant that Mai must be killed. And lo, they say, they are proven right as during the battle, Mai nearly slips off the horse and Hideyoshi has to catch her--and his arm immediately begins to start turning red and burn where it comes into contact with her. See? She only brings pain and suffering, and therefore, she must die.
Mai is yelling at Hideyoshi to let go of her, but he refuses, growing more ruthless and violent the more fervently their attackers try to get to Mai. He eventually cuts them all down, though one is left alive for them to interrogate. The remaining attacker manages to choke out in his final breaths that posters of Mai's face and her supposed crimes against the heavens have been spread far and wide across every village there is, so even if Hideyoshi kills him here, more people will come to finish the job.
Now that the fight is over, it's time to take stock of injuries. Mai is unharmed, but Hideyoshi's arms are red all over and completely scalded. They make use of the water that Mitsuhide handed them and Ieyasu's medicine, but even so, Hideyoshi almost collapses and is overtaken by a fever from the injury when they make it to an inn to rest for the night. Mai is overcome with guilt over the injuries that she caused, and when Hideyoshi slips into a fevered sleep, she has to leave the inn, afraid to be in the same room as him while he sleeps.
She takes a walk in the forest nearby, ruminating over everything. That's when she hears footsteps approaching. Panicking over the thought that it might be more people who are after her, she's about ready to run, though the sight of a familiar figure stops her. It's Kennyo--whom she last seen in Hideyoshi's eternal route trying to send her and Nobunaga over the edge of a cliff-- accompanied by a young pink-haired man she doesn't know. She's still afraid that Kennyo will try to kill her, but Kennyo explains that he wants no such thing. Ranmaru introduces himself, and the two of them explain that they know about the Sacrificial Princess rumor, and that it is actually Kicho's work, and part of his plans to engulf the country in unending war and conflict. They know this because the one who saved Kennyo after he fell off the cliff was Motonari, so they had, for a brief time, worked together. But upon finding out that Kicho's plan involved the prolonging of senseless suffering and war, they could not bring themselves to keep working with him, and cut ties with both Kicho and Motonari to go their own way.
When Mai asks why they're telling her this, Kennyo says that it is his form of atonement. For wrapping her, innocent and uninvolved, in his plot for revenge against Nobunaga. But if this is not repayment enough, then Kennyo would offer her his life. He places a dagger before her, and Mai can tell that he's actually serious. He'd let her kill him if she didn't think that he had redeemed himself enough.
Mai has absolutely no desire to hurt anyone. She can't forget what Kennyo did to her, but she doesn't hate him, and she doesn't want to see him dead. She doesn't think Ranmaru does either. But if he does feel the need to atone for it in blood, she takes that dagger and presses it lightly against Kennyo's finger to give him a light cut. Let that be the price he must pay in blood. If he is truly serious about redemption, then she asks him to live. Thanking him and Ranmaru for the information once more, she goes to leave.
Hideyoshi is there to see her, revealing that he had been listening from the beginning, but he's just glad to see her safe. He also expresses relief that Ranmaru is safe as well. They quickly return to the inn as Hideyoshi is still weak from his fever, and he almost collapses again as soon as they make it back. It's definitely time to rest for the night, so they pull apart their futons to make sure that they don't end up touching each other in their sleep. But it's hard, being apart like this when the both of them want and need comfort.
The next day, Hideyoshi is mostly healed up. A doctor has proclaimed the worst of his injuries dealt with properly, so the burns won't even scar. And that is when Mai, who had spent the night thinking about what Kennyo had revealed, tells Hideyoshi her plan: she wants to talk to Kicho. Nobody was supposed to know about Mai's touch bringing pain and burns to others; heck, she didn't even know about the burn part until after the people who attacked her did, even. So what does Kicho know, and how does he know about it? They need answers, and the only way to get them is to speak with Kicho directly. Hideyoshi wants to disagree, but he acknowledges that she's right, so he says that he'll go with her to Sakai after sending a letter to Nobunaga and the others to update them on the situation.
Back at Azuchi, the other warlords receive Hideyoshi's letter explaining the situation. They've been growing more and more tired with the unrest seeming to grow more and more out of control with every passing day. Hideyoshi had excelled in mediating disputes and keeping everything balanced, and without him it's hard for everyone remaining to keep things under control. And they've all been hearing about this Sacrificial Princess rumor as well, and everyone's worried about how the two of them are holding up. Nobunaga then says that he has a letter to write, and Keiji also asks to send a letter since he had infiltrated Sakai before and may have some useful information.
In Sakai, Mai and Hideyoshi are, for just a moment, taking a break. Mai is wearing a cloth over her head and face to disguise herself, because on the way to Sakai they'd been chased out of town and attacked by people who had recognized her face as the Sacrificial Princess. Hideyoshi, knowing how hard and stressful this has been on her, decides that they're just going to enjoy themselves out in town for a bit. They go to a tea shop and have sweets, window shop all the rare foreign goods like textiles and accessories that Sakai has to offer, they just let themselves enjoy things for a bit. Hideyoshi just wants to see Mai smile again.
And then night falls, and it's time to put their plan into motion. While Hideyoshi had genuinely wanted Mai to enjoy herself and be happy for a while, he had also been keeping an ear to the ground as they had gone around town, and he had found out that Kicho was going to be heading out of his merchant house that evening. If they wanted to ambush Kicho, now would be the time. So they track down Kicho, Hideyoshi knocks out his guards, and he says that if Kicho wants to live, he'd better do everything he says.
Completely unflapped, Kicho says that actually, it should be the other way around, and promptly summons dozens more underlings to take on Hideyoshi. Mai is taken away by Kicho as the guards keep Hideyoshi busy. He spirits her away to his merchant house, and we get the usual explanation of Kicho's plans and the reveal that he knows of the future as well, as with most other routes. (Meanwhile, Kennyo and Ranmaru show up to lend a hand to Hideyoshi, who was not having trouble with the guards per se, as none of them were strong enough fighters to really put him in any danger, but there was a lot of them to get through. Ranmaru and Kennyo buy him the time to break away and go after Mai)
And, like in other routes as well, Kicho is also affected by the changes in the timeline. Like Mai, he is unable to touch people he knows without burning them. It's how he knew about the symptoms to spread the Sacrificial Princess lie. As for how he found out... he did some experiments, you see. He picked a random one of his underlings and pretended to take a deeper interest in the man, cultivating a relationship of admiration and (assumed) trust. As expected, Kicho's touch began to hurt and eventually burn the man, with the injuries worsening the deeper that relationship became. Eventually it reached the point where meeting Kicho's gaze blinded the man, which was when Kicho decided to end the experiment.
However, at that point, it was too late. Kicho had left the room and ordered everything stopped, but just hearing Kicho's voice through the walls was enough to kill the man. Witnesses who were in the room at the time reported that the man's skin had eventually begun to actually melt, and he died in agony.
With this vision of what lies in store for her and Hideyoshi, Mai is completely shaken. Kicho lets her leave unharmed, seeing as how he has no particular reason to kill her at this point in time, and it in fact behooves his plan to have her live. The whole reason he spread the rumor of the Sacrificial Princess in the first place is specifically because he knew it would provoke Hideyoshi the most. Hideyoshi is a balancing force and mediator among the Oda forces, and throwing Hideyoshi off will throw the Oda off as well. The impacts of it can be seen already: how the Oda are having trouble managing the unrest without Hideyoshi... and also how Hideyoshi himself gradually grows more brutal and less and less prone to trying to convince the people after Mai's life to stand aside with every ambush.
Hideyoshi meets up with her soon after and after making sure she's okay, they leave for a safe place and to recover for the night. Mai tells him some of what she learned: Kicho's goals, his reason for spreading the Sacrificial Princess rumor to disrupt Hideyoshi and the Oda forces. But she keeps the extent of the effects on her hidden, too overwhelmed and upset to think about addressing that right now.
On the journey back to Azuchi, they stop at a seaside inn to spend the night. One morning as they're having a meal together, Hideyoshi tries to reassure her that everything will end up all right, and Mai almost allows herself to believe him. But at that moment, Hideyoshi winces in pain and holds a hand to his eye. Did the sun's rays hit him in just the wrong spot, he wonders? But Mai, with the knowledge from Kicho about how her symptoms will progress, immediately begins wondering if this is the start of the end, and makes a quick excuse and dashes out of the inn.
She spends some time by the seashore, worried and afraid and stewing in her own thoughts. However, she's soon approached by a man who once again recognizes her as the Sacrificial Princess and attempts to kill her. Hideyoshi, who had grown worried about Mai intervenes just in time, keeping Mai close to him to protect her even as she yells at him to let her go so he won't burn himself. He tells her that there's no way he'd do that, that this is nothing in order to make sure that she's safe. The man lashes out in anger and fear, asking why Hideyoshi is protecting Mai: she's the Sacrificial Princess who's the cause of the suffering in the world. Does he want the world to destroy itself? Is that it? Hideyoshi responds back: Mai is his treasure, and he will not let anyone lay a hand on her.
After some skirmishing, they manage to make it to a safe and isolated section of the beach. Hideyoshi says it's a good thing that the guy gave up relatively soon and that Mai wasn't hurt. But Mai has just about hit her breaking point after this latest attack and the knowledge of what is to come in the future. Walking past Hideyoshi, she walks straight into the ocean, and keeps going.
She's submerged up to her calves; Hideyoshi yells at her to stop. She ignores him.
Up to the waist now. The currents are growing strong. And still she keeps going, defeated step after defeated step.
Alarmed, Hideyoshi runs after her and grabs onto her to stop her. But she yells at him to let her do this, she doesn't want to do this anymore. She reveals to Hideyoshi what Kicho told her about the progression of her symptoms. What she really wants is to live together with Hideyoshi and everyone else. But how can she do that if her very presence hurts them and will eventually kill them? This is for the best, she says. For everything to end so no one can be hurt by her anymore.
Hideyoshi just holds onto her more fiercely. He insists that even if Mai thinks that the best thing is to throw her own life away, her life has value and meaning and he is so so grateful for every day that he can spend with her. The words ring familiar: their positions are reversed now, compared to Hideyoshi's eternal route. When he was willing to die, believing it to be the only way that he could be of use, Mai was the one who convinced him that even if he thought the only person he would be hurting was himself, everyone around him would bear the pain of his hurts with him too; that his life has its own intrinsic value not tied to how useful or worthy he was; that the simple truth of his existence is something worth celebrating. He's never forgotten that lesson for a moment, and now that things have come to this, he'll do the same for Mai for as many times as it takes for her to realize the same about herself.
The unconditional love and support breaks Mai, and she begins crying as Hideyoshi leads her out of the ocean. She apologizes, promising not to try to kill herself again. Hideyoshi tells her she has nothing to apologize for, and they return back to their rooms to rest for the night and recuperate from the emotional rollercoaster of the day. They can't hold each other directly, but some careful wrapping of each others' bodies around some clothes mean that they can still have a little bit of comfort from each other, at least.
The next day their journey back to Azuchi continues. Unfortunately, their path goes right through the battlefield of one of a recent uprising, and there are still some armed soldiers lingering around the area. Their conversation makes it abundantly clear that they're hunting for the Sacrificial Princess, lamenting the violence that has destroyed their hometowns and families and hoping that they find her soon so that they can put an end to everything. Hideyoshi and Mai try to stay hidden as they maneuver around the battlefield but unfortunately they are detected. Hideyoshi is left with no choice but to fight...

Hey Mrs. O hope you're well! I just have a question about IkeSen. Im a bit confused about whos in power. Like they talk about an Emporer, and a shogun, and daimyo's. Im confused how Nobunaga and the other lords fit in and who is in charge lol any clarification would be greatly appreciated
Hi Nonny! Thank you, I am peachy.
I don't blame you for being confused - Ikesen gives us an extremely watered down version of Japanese history and even that is confusing because Japanese history is heckin complicated! I'm no expert but I'll see if I can make things clearer for you.
In the time of Ikemen Sengoku it is the Sengoku period obviously (which roughly spans the 15th and 16th centuries) and more specifically 1582, which is the year Oda Nobunaga 'died'. However, we're dealing in a fictional version of things where stuff gets fudged a bit, so let's not get hung up on the exact dates. The structure of Japan at that time was still a feudal system divided into 5 basic levels that looked something like this:
Emperor > Shogun >> Daimyou >>> Samurai >>>> Peasants
The Emperor was nominally the most powerful person in Japan, a political figure of course, but most of all he is a spiritual figure. He's the leader of the Shinto religion and said to be descended from the sun goddess Amaterasu. The Emperor and his Imperial Court fulfilled many important ceremonial functions and was a place where the arts and culture were encouraged and maintained.
In truth though, the most powerful person in the sphere of day to day earthly life was the shogun, a military dictator that ruled over the country. (Incidentally, the first shogun to really consolidate power and create feudalism as it existed in Japan for 600+ years was Minamoto no Yoritomo - the poster boy for Ikemen Genjiden) The shogun ruled with the Emperor's blessing, whether that was freely given or manipulated, and if you really want to grossly oversimply an analogy I think you could somewhat liken it to the concept of the Pope and some monarchs in historical Europe - both powerful in different ways, and a monarch ostensibly ruled with the Pope's stamp of approval.
Below the shogun would be the daimyou, powerful land-owning lords who controlled personal armies of samurai loyal to them. This would include many of the warlords we know by name in the game - Oda Nobunaga, Takeda Shingen, Date Masamune, Uesugi Kenshin, Mouri Motonari, Imagawa Yoshimoto, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi (eventually) were all daimyou.
Samurai in service to the daimyous could include some illustrious warriors as well, and there are plenty of them that are suitors in Ikesen too - Akechi Mitsuhide, Ishida Mitsunari, Naoe Kanetsugu, Maeda Keiji, and Sanada Yukimura were all subordinates of the men above. (Though Yukimura's older brother, Nobuyuki, was a daimyou)
In the time of Ikemen Sengoku, we have the shogun (or ex-shogun, I suppose) Ashikaga Yoshiaki. It's Complicated, but suffice it to say that Nobunaga had helped him to power as a sort of puppet shogun and then removed him from it, and Yoshiaki did not take this very well. He became a rallying point for those looking to oppose Nobunaga's rise to power and hence his role as a villain in our story.
SO, technically, at the time of our story nobody really is in charge exactly, and that's half the problem. The Emperor exists offstage in Ikesen, and the Imperial Court is always a force that has to be taken into consideration, but Nobunaga is generally adept at maintaining a positive relationship with it. It isn't until after Nobunaga manages to bring almost half of the previously fractured provinces of Japan under his control, and the unification he begins is continued by Hideyoshi and ultimately solidified by Ieyasu, that a new shogun rises to power and maintains the Tokugawa shogunate for the next three centuries or so.
If you're interested in a brief rundown on the shogunate and how it worked, this video is really useful and entertaining for giving you a good grasp on the basics. And here's another from the same channel that gives a cool visual history of Japan, but I've linked the timestamp to the Sengoku period for you here. I hope that helped, rather than made things more confusing? I obviously didn't even touch on some of the other characters in the game or how Kennyo and the Ikkou-ikki opposed Nobunaga - if you have more questions about them, feel free to ask!

FATE GRAND ORDER
Tumblr media
TAKEDA HARUNOBU (RIDER) CHARACTER PROFILE
BOND 1 Height・Weight: 185cm・85kg Source: Historical fact Region: Japan Attribute: Lawful・Evil Sub-attribute: Human Gender: Male "I'll settle this with my cavalry!"
BOND 2 Daimyo of Kai Province during the Sengoku period. The legitimate son of Kai's former Daimyo, Takeda Nobutora, Takeda Shingen’s was named Harunobu on the day of his birth. He only became known by the name of Takeda Shingen after his death. His relationship with his father was heavily strained in life, and he would eventually usurp the position of Daimyo after exiling his own father to Suruga. He would launch a full scale invasion of Shinano shortly after, beating down the locals thoroughly and pacifying the surrounding regions. In the wake of his assault on Shinano, Takeda fought many battles with Uesugi Kenshin in Kawanakajima. Caught in a stalemate with the Dragon of Echigo, Takeda would soon turn his attention to Imagawa Yoshimoto, with whom he established a temporary truce. Following Imagawa’s fall at the Battle of Okehazama, he invaded the unsettled Suruga, thus marking the beginning of Takeda’s heyday. He led his army westward where he utterly annihilated the combined forces of Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu at Mikatagahara. This loss crippled Ieyasu with a lifelong trauma. Takeda, meanwhile would lead his forces into Mikawa. However, he grew sick and died in camp. He perished halfway through his ambitions... "Raise the flag at Seta... perhaps..."
BOND 5 Takeda is a ruthless warlord widely considered a genius of his time. He is said to most effectively embody the Sengoku period itself. With his natural born exceptional physical attributes honed to a fine edge by his equally outstanding intelligence, he was a natural powerhouse. However, this bred no small amount of confidence and pride. He would often display great arrogance in battle, only using both hands against those he deemed worthy. Due in part to his exceptional talent, Takeda endured a difficult childhood and came to see everyone around him as foolish. Even his own father, Nobutora, would alienate himself from his own son. Despite Shingen being the rightful heir, Nobutora attempted to distance himself from Takeda and instead groom his younger brother to be his successor. This was out of fear for the future of Kai under Shingen’s leadership. However, Takeda took it upon himself to exile his father and became Daimyo of Kai, believing that Kai would perish otherwise. Having never experienced failure, Takeda never once doubted this decision… Or his reign. ...However, this truth would soon be shattered by Uesugi Kenshin, later known as Nagao Kagetora, the Dragon of Echigo… "There is no man stronger than me in all of the Sengoku era. Not now. Not ever." ―――Kenshin is an exception because he's actually a woman...
BOND 5 The Tiger of Kai: A - This is the name given to Takeda Shingen, who, through the employ of his own tactical genius and tacit diplomacy, won many battles and made his name renowned through the most turbulent era of Japanese history. Akaki Honoo: A - The constant flow of magical crimson energy that surges around Shingen. It is a magical circuit that ignites his blood in a furious roar. While its output is overwhelming, it eats through his magical reserves at an alarming rate. Tatenashi O-Yoroi: B - Takeda's divine artifact, said to have been passed down from the legendary hero Shinra Saburo Yoshimitsu. The Tatenashi O-Yoroi is an armor said to be so sturdy and impenetrable that the wearer had no need of a shield. It is so robust that it can't be damaged by ordinary attacks. With this equipped, Shingen boasts overwhelming defensive power, almost like a fortress in human form. Kurokumo: Harunobu's beloved horse, known for its fierce temperament, it is said that only Harunobu himself could ever tame it. Rumored to possess a robust physique and tremendous strength, Kurokumo wreaked havoc in the land of Kai. After a fierce battle with Harunobu, they came to respect each other, forming a close bond. When clad in armor, it was as formidable as the cavalry of the Sengoku period. A simply extraordinary horse that could even transform into a carriage. Kurokumo is said to have truly understood Harunobu's every intent.
BOND LEVEL 5 Let there be no doubt: No “man” could ever rival Takeda Shingen…But there was a “woman”... Had he, for the first time, met… An extraordinary human…? Eyes that seemed to stare straight through the abyss, lips twisted into a mocking smile. Confronted with this incomprehensible "thing”... For the first time in his life, Harunobu understood the concept of “fear” as it was instilled within him.. Yet even still, he resolved to overcome it. He honed his military strategy, made all the right preparations, delved into sorcery and magic, trained himself beyond the peak of his physical condition, enriched Kai with a wealth of resources, all in his quest to surpass Uesugi Kenshin. And in doing so, he became literally the strongest warlord of the Sengoku period with zero defeats against anyone other than Kenshin herself. Even the Demon King, Oda Nobunaga, refrained from making a move during Takeda Shingen's lifetime. However, he never did find his resolution with that "thing" to which he had become so obsessed… The chaotic times, his birthright, the Takeda clan, none of them allowed it. Bearing the weight of everything, he soldiered on, never once speaking of his own desires until the day of his eventual death. Though he does regret the final outcome, he also accepts it… Although… if he could, just one more time... ―――Yes, he would give that girl one last solid punch. A trivial obstinacy, to be sure… To those on the outside, it may just seem like he lost a fight to the neighbor’s kid, but that was precisely the "strength" of the once and never again undefeated Takeda Shingen…

i think the reason enemies to lovers works so well for motonari is because he's so late-game. like, tbh i didn't know much for him before i started his route, so he was a really clean slate
uesugi-takeda forces are great for the whole enemies to lovers thing too but it's really hard to dislike them since i've been getting to know them for years. what's more is like you don't even get an enemies moment from them really??
i rmb the discourse about motonari route when it came out and it's why i've been so hesitant to play him but goddamn, i wish i played him sooner. i don't think you can have a really good enemies to lovers story without them being?? enemies?? first?? and props to cybird for really leaning into it. dgmw, i love u-t, but they're not enemies to lovers, and if you like that trope, you like that trope. i, 4 one, love that trope and i'm really thrilled to see how it's playing out so far in motonari route and really excited to read more

Uesugi Kenshin died on this day, April 19, 1578, aged 49, from excessive drinking and possible stomach cancer.
Rumor is, he was stabbed with a spear by a ninja hiding in the toilet! This is not true!
The Dragon of Echigo (modern day Niigata Prefecture) Uesugi Kenshin is remembered for his long running rivalry with neighboring daimyo, Takeda Shingen. Kenshin and Shingen clashed five times at Kawanakajima, the fourth battle being the most violent of the confrontations, and the one referred to as The Battle of Kawanakajima. In this battle, a mounted Uesugi Kenshin is believed to have ridden straight into Takeda Shingen’s main battle camp and personally traded blows with Shingen, seated on his camp-stool. When Shingen died in 1573, Kenshin is reported to have cried aloud in sorrow for having lost such an honorable enemy.
Kenshin is renown for his brilliant military skills, and his honorable conduct both on and off the battlefield. He was also known as a heavy drinker. At the time of his death, Kenshin had been attempting to overthrow Oda Nobunaga. Claiming victory against the Oda forces in 1577 at the Battle of Tedorigawa, he was about to launch another series of attacks when he suffered a seizure on April 9, 1578 and died four days later.
His death poem reads;
Forty-nine years have passed like a dream in the night. The Glories of Life disappear like a cup of sake.

May I request warlords had a big fight with MC until she cried, and now they have to comfort her because she is locking herself in a room and refused to come out. (She is sulking) What if they are married? Thank you!
Hello! Ohh this one will be sweet! Thank you for the request.
Warlords comfort MC after a big fight.
Oda forces.
Nobunaga Oda.
Nobunaga is the kind of person who, when faced with problems with his relationship and doesn’t know how to handle it, will call all the warlords for a war council to ask for advice. It wasn’t his intention to make you cry, but now it was too late since you wouldn’t come out of your room.
After taking in all the advice he receives, Nobunaga stays on the other side of the door to your room and begins apologizing, offering to share his favorite candy with you. He will keep doing it until you open the door.
Hideyoshi Toyotomi.
Hideyoshi doesn’t like fights, he tries his best to avoid them. Specially when they can lead you to cry. But on the occasion that it happens, he will try his best to spoil you until you aren’t upset anymore.
If you lock yourself away, he will be making constant visits to try and talk to you and leave a gift for you, all that until you open the door.
Mitsuhide Akechi.
Mitsuhide pays attention to not go overboard with fights, precisely because he doesn’t want to argue and hurt you. But if that happens, he will make sure you don’t even have time to lock yourself away.
The moment tears fall from your eyes, he will pull you into a hug and comfort you with sweet gestures.
Mitsunari Ishida.
Fights? What fights? Mitsunari is too sweet of a person to actually make anyone cry, even if a fight does happen.
Ieyasu Tokugawa.
Ieyasu can be… harsh with his words, and that’s something he tries to work on as to not upset you. If a fight does occur, he will flinch and freeze once he sees that you are crying.
He will calm down and apologize for his words, feeling guilty that he made you shed tears because of him.
Masamune Date.
Masamune will think a lot about how to ask for forgiveness, and after a lot of thought put into it, he will cook your favorite food to attract you out of the room. The moment you are out, lots of kisses and a tight hug awaits.
He will easily comfort you and melt all your anger away.
Ranmaru Mori.
Again, what fight? This another sweet guy can’t stand the thought of making you upset and wouldn’t start an argument, he wouldn’t want to see you crying.
Keiji.
Keiji is another one who doesn’t pay attention to how harsh he may sound until it’s too late, he will curse himself for hurting you and will think of ways to cheer you up.
The best way for him to apologize would be, ironically, being honest with you and tell you how he feels and that he didn’t want to make you upset.
Uesugi-Takeda alliance.
Kenshin Uesugi.
Kenshin would actually think of punishing himself, he is willing to destroy anything that may hurt you, that includes himself. Of course, after the others convince him to focus on making you feel better, he will do his best to comfort you.
Considering that he can be a bit… extra, kenshin will arrange many gifts and have all the bunnies surrounding you to give you comfort.
Shingen Takeda.
Shingen could never forgive himself for making you cry, he really was a full. For starters, he hates arguments and tries to avoid them. But when it happens, he thinks a lot on what to do to apologize and comfort you. Thousands of sweet words, kisses and apologies would come your ways
As well as him calling himself a fool for even making you cry.
Yukimura Sanada.
Yukimura will panic when he sees you crying, he didn’t mean to but it ended up happening. What will he do? He freaks out and tries desperately to calm you down and comfort you.
Of course, he was scolded by shingen and was given advice on how to apologize to you. Part of the advice he wouldn’t be able to pull it off, mostly because it was Shingen’s idea on how to apologize, but he still managed to be honest without saying something rude.
Yoshimoto Imagawa.
Yoshimoto is another who avoids fights at all costs, even if an argument is about to start. He is good with words, so if he ends up upsetting you, he will know how to comfort you immediately.
Sasuke.
Sasuke is a peaceful guy, he wouldn’t even start an argument. In fact, he is incapable of it.
Kanetsugu.
Kanetsugu can be… another rough and harsh man, so he makes a lot of effort in comforting you. He lowers his voice and holds you before you can lock yourself away in a separate room.

Hi! So I wanted to make a request, there are so many options I got a bit excited. I was divided between only one bed and roommate, but I will chose only one because I don’t want to be too demanding!
May I have one with shingen + only one bed with smut? Thank you in advance!
Thank you for the support and for the request! One of my personal favorite tropes with one of my favorite suitors! Oh how I love this incredibly large and sweet and loving man! Here it is and I hope you enjoy it!
The Night that Changed Everything
There had been a rather brutal battle between the Uesigu-Takeda forces and the Oda forces. It was all part of Shingen’s campaign to widdle down the Oda forces with me as the bait. His war of attrition. It was the reminder that I had needed that even though Shingen had shown me kindness…and was rather handsome and charming…that he was still a dangerous and powerful warlord…that he was trying to hurt people I cared about.
Granted the Uesugi-Takeda forces had people I cared about there, too. I mean Sasuke was my friend from the modern day and had never done anything but his best to protect me, Yukimura had become a friend, too. Then there was Shingen…my feelings towards him were…complicated. Made even more complicated by the fact that I was currently running from him, trying to stop him from bringing the Oda into another battle.
I’d tried this strategy once in the middle of a battle and well…Shingen ended up having to save me…further complicating my feelings for him. This time I thought I could try running away after the battle. In the middle of the night. Now that I was in the forest though…I was starting to realize that maybe that wasn’t the best plan.
Sasuke had told me there was a village just on the other side of the forest. It was part of Oda territory. If I could just get there…maybe I could find a way back to the Oda and get all of this senseless violence to stop…but despite Sasuke’s clear directions…I still couldn’t find my way through this forest in the dark.
I’d fallen down more times than I could count. And the complete darkness was starting to get to me…as well as the sounds of the forest creatures moving about the night. I had just tripped over another tree root and landed hard, scraping my hand as I broke my fall.
“This…this is hopeless isn’t it?” I muttered to myself as I felt hot tears begin to sting my eyes. I don’t know if I was referring to my escape, not being able to find my way out of the forest, or perhaps even getting the fighting to stop…or stopping my feelings of growing affection towards Shingen.
“There you are.”
My heart began to hammer in my chest at the sound of that voice. Though I refused to look up. I didn’t want him to see my tears. I dared not speak for fear he would hear them in my voice.
He was kneeling down beside me. “Are you alright, my goddess?” Shingen asked me and I could hear the concern in his voice, as he reached his hand out to caress my cheek, his eyes having adapted to the low moonlight that barely crept into the dark forest than mine.
“Don’t…goddess…me…” I replied, trying to put as much venom in my voice as possible, though it sounded weak even to my ears.
Then he called my name, in the gentlest of tones, bidding me to look at him. “Are you hurt?” He asked.
I shook my head, my will weakening against how tenderly he looked at me. “No…I’m fine.”
“Then why do you cry?” He asked, his thumb wiping at my tears.
“I…don’t know.”
Shingen let out a sigh and then the next thing I knew, he was lifting me up in his large and powerful arms. “Come on, let’s get you some place you can rest.” He said as he began to carry me through the forest with sure-footing.
Part of me wanted to fight him, tell him I could walk myself…but the other part of me wanted to keep my mouth shut and stay where I was…and possibly even lean my head against his chest, find out what perfect pillows his pecs would make. I didn’t allow myself to get that comfortable… but I did keep my mouth shut.
Before long, we were arriving at a small village and Shingen took me to an inn. I didn’t really pay attention as Shingen checked us in. He set me on my feet and gestured for me to follow the innkeeper, who led me to a room where I took a nice warm bath and fresh nightrobes were laid out for me.
I felt a little better after the bath and fresh change of clothes. Once I was finished the innkeeper was leading me to another room. “Here you are dear.” He said. “If you need anything don’t hesitate to ask.” He was then leaving with a bow.
I slid the door open and stepped inside, surprised to find Shingen waiting in the room for me. “W-what…”
“My apologies Princess, but it appears this was the last room left in this inn.” He told me, smiling warmly at me.
I hated the way my heart did flips at that smile. “Oh…” was all I could managed to get out.
“Here, come and let me see your hands.” He said.
“Why?”
“Are they not scraped?” Shingen asked. He was then gesturing to a box of medical supplies that sat next to him. “I thought since you had so kindly treated my wound before, I would treat yours. I can’t allow my beautiful goddess to suffer.”
My heart did another flip at the way he called me goddess…it wasn’t just goddess…but my goddess…as if claiming me. I bade my feet to stay firmly planted where they were, but they seemed to act of their own accord as I soon found myself sitting in front of Shingen.
Shingen held out his hand and I found myself silently placing my much smaller hand in his incredibly large one, palm up. He quickly and gently got to work, cleaning my scrapes. There was something soft and sensual about the way his rough calloused fingers moved over my hands oh so gently as he treated me. I felt my heart picking up its pace and my mind wandering…where else would those gentle fingers feel so great…imagining what it might feel like for his massive frame to envelope my smaller one the way his hand currently enveloped mine.
When Shingen finished cleaning the scrapes, he was then gently applying a healing salve before wrapping them. “There.” He murmured before placing gentle kisses on the palms of my hand. “For extra healing.” He said.
I didn;t want to discuss the feelings those small kisses stirred up in me. “Th-thank you…” I replied. “Now…I’m tired and want to go to bed.”
“Of course.” Shingen replied, he was then gesturing to the futon that was laid out…only one, but with two pillows.
“Th-there’s…only one…” I said, feeling my heart begin to race.
Shingen gave me a wry smile. “Only one room and only one bed left in the inn.” He replied. “Besides this is twice now my princess has tried to run away. I can’t let you try that again.”
I glared at him, though I believe the effect was lost with the way my cheeks were heating up. “Whatever. I’m sure you say that to all the goddesses.” I replied as I dove into the futon, pulling the cover up to my chin.
I felt Shingen slide into the bed next to me. “No.” He said simply. “Though I would be lying if I were to say I was unhappy with this sleeping arrangement.”
Stupid heart…stupid brain…stupid attractive Shingen. I thought to myself.
“I haven’t even looked at another woman since we’ve met.” Shingen told me, as his arm came around my waist, him becoming my big spoon.
I felt my breath catch and found myself turning to face him. I looked into his gray eyes, they were warm with genuine affection. He…he was telling me the truth…I was not alone in my feelings.
Shingen smiled warmly at me, lifting his hand to gently caress my cheek, sending a delightful shiver down my body. “If I could, I would never let you go.” He told me. “You are truly an amazing woman.”
Without even thinking…I was stretching my and pressing my lips to his. I no longer cared about our stupid bet or anything else. It didn’t matter that he was fighting my friends…and I couldn’t deny my feelings any longer. I didn’t want to fight him or myself any longer.
Shingen responded, his arm tightening around my waist, his tongue sneaking out and parting my lips. Our bodies were pressed close as the kiss deepened.
When we broke the kiss, we both gasped each other’s names and looked into each other’s eyes. “Is…is this what you want?” Shingen asked me.
I nodded. “Yes.” I answered, unable to fight how I was feeling any longer.
Shingen’s lips were on mine again. He rolled us over so that he now hovered over me, his massive body completely enveloping mine just as well as I had imagined. He moved his lips from mine only to trail kisses down the side of my neck as his fingers came to undo the sash at my waist.
He pulled back as he opened my robes, his gray eyes taking in my form in the low lantern light. “You are stunning.” He murmured as he reached a hand to trail over my newly bared flesh. Fingertips grazing over my collarbone before sensually sliding down my breasts, rough calluses bringing a new sensation as they slid over the hardening peaks.
“Ah…Sh–Shingen…” I moaned at the sensation.
His lips were on my neck again, trailing down my body over the same path his fingers had just gone. His tongue came out to taste my flesh and swirl when he reached my nipples, making them harden further, sending another shiver of pleasure through me.
I found myself reaching for the belt at his waist, tugging and pulling until it finally came off. Shingen was grinning at me. “It appears my goddess is rather impatient.” He said.
“I…I just…want to see and…feel you, too.” I replied.
Shingen shrugged out of his robe, baring his body for me. He was then reaching for my hand and placing it on his chest. “See and feel as much as you want.” He told me, smiling oh so sensually at me.
I took his invitation and began to trail my hands over his chest, feeling the contour of his perfectly hardened physique. God he was gorgeous. My eyes followed the trail as my hands traveled over him.
Shingen shivered under my touch and let out a pleasured groan of my name. “Your hands…your touch feels…even better than I had hoped it would.” He said before leaning down to kiss me again.
I returned the kiss, wrapping my arms around him, my hands going to feel his shoulders… everything about his large body screamed how strong and powerful he was. How large he was. And though I felt powerless in comparison…I felt so warm and so safe beneath him.
Shingen began to kiss down my body once more. His lips lit a trail of fire over my flesh and sent thrills of pleasure through me, eliciting pleasured cries of his name from my lips. His lips were on my stomach, tongue coming out every so often to taste my flesh. “My name….sound so good from your lips.” He murmured against my skin, his kisses going lower now between my bellybutton and bikini line.
“Ah…Shingen…”
“I can’t wait to hear more.” Shingent said right before parting my thighs and moving so that they rested on his shoulders. Then before I could even process what was happening his lips were on the source of my heat, hos tongue coming out to swirl over that pleasure pearl.
“SHIN-GEN!” I cried out as electric pleasure shot through me. It was so much that I almost began to jerk away, but Shingen’s large hands were holding me in place and I was crying out as his lips and tongue continued to work between my thighs.
I soon found myself grinding against his face and pushing harder, seeking more of the sweet stimulation he gave. Shingen, eager to please, continued his work, licking and sucking, building my pleasure. It didn’t take much more of this before that coil inside me had wound up tight and snapped. Shockwaves of ecstasy rolled through me and my vision sparked white as my walls clenched around air.
“SHINGEN!” I cried out as my orgasm washed over me and was drawn out by the continued ministrations of Shingen’s tongue.
He drew me out for a while before finally parting from my lower region. He smiled at me, his lips glistening with my slick. “Such beautiful moans.” He told me as he slowly moved, repositioning himself so that he was hovering over me once again, his body between my open legs. “I can’t wait to hear more.” He said before gently sliding his hardened length inside me.
“Ah…Sh-Sh-Shin-gen…” I moaned at how full he made me feel…and I had just barely come down from my last high, my body still sensitive.
His arms came around me, holding me close as he slowly slid inside me. Once he was fully in, he rested there a moment and just continued to hold me. We shared a kiss as he slowly began to thrust his hips, bringing me even more pleasure.
We continued to make love that night, both of us knowing…there was no going back…there was no letting each other go now. This was love and it was real and true. We could figure out the rest later.

Genre: crackfic... so very crackfic
Word count: 1200
It was a lovely Autumn afternoon in Azuchi, a beautiful day in the neighborhood, indeed. The sky was blue, a light breeze was blowing, and birds were chirping. Also, maids were screaming. We’ll get back to them in a moment.
Many of the warriors have taken advantage of the crisp weather to spar on the grounds near the gate. The gardeners were preparing for winter by pruning shrubbery. And those maids… still screaming.
Meanwhile, in the tenshu, an extremely important meeting was taking place – a meeting that could affect the future of relations between the Oda and the Takeda-Uesugi alliance.
“You want to… what?” Hideyoshi blinked at Nobunaga, unsure if he had heard him correctly. “Purchase all the konpieto and… the what?” The konpieto made sense. Nobunaga couldn’t stay away from the stuff. But…
“Pickled plums.” Nobunaga relaxed on cushion in front of his desk, not looking like he had lost his mind. He nodded to Mitsuhide. “Explain your idea to Hideyoshi.”
“My sources inform me that Kenshin’s weakness is pickled plums. And everyone knows that Shingen has a massive di… desire for sweets.” Mitsuhide rattled the papers his report, though this was more for effect than necessity. “By hoarding the entire supply in the country, we force both to the negotiating table and should have the upper hand in crafting an alliance.”
Hideyoshi glared at Mitsuhide. “Shingen’s weakness is women. I’m surprised you haven’t suggested we hoard all of those in Azuchi as well.”
With an unconcerned grin… no, smug, it was a smug grin, Mitsuhide instantly responded, “Excellent idea, Hideyoshi. After all, somebody is going to have to eat those plums.”
Deciding to ignore the bait, Hideyoshi turned back to Nobunaga. “Don’t listen to him, my lord, there are other strategies we can employ.”
“Dear me, Hideyoshi. Such passion. One wonders if you are not jealous that I thought of it first.” The smug morphed into smirk. “It is a sweet idea, a brilliant plan, if I say so myself, one that may cost money, but will save lives.”
Meanwhile… in the ceiling, a moderately awesome ninja, who happened to be spying on the meeting, winced, and thought to himself, That’s diabolical! Nor would that plan prevent the loss of life, for he was certain that if his employer were to be deprived of his favorite pickled plums, he would become homicidal. Er, more homicidal than usual. Well, his usual Kenshin-ness would be dialed up to eleven.
Meanwhile … (yes, another ‘meanwhile.’ There was a sale on segues at Acme Fanfiction Supplies) the maids were still screaming, and running frantically about the ground floor of the castle, while being chased by a fearsome beast…
The beast in question, was in reality a dazed and confused Shogetsu, who had escaped from another story (to be found here), and leaped into this tale. Covered in mud and dead leaves, and still under the effects of an anesthetic administered by Ieyasu, the poor tiger only wanted a little affection and a maybe a soft place to nap. A place away from the screaming.
The screaming, however spread throughout the castle, as rumors were born, grew to epic proportions, and by the time a frantic page delivered the news to the group in the tenshu, it was the news that a ravenous, hideous, ferocious monster was loose in the castle.
The meeting was adjourned immediately, and the three men reached for their weapons and followed the sounds of the screaming, eventually coming upon a gaggle of terrified maids, hiding out in a store room.
“Now,” Hideyoshi said, in his most soothing and calming voice (causing one maid to faint - or feint, even - into his arms). “One at a time. What exactly did you see, and where did it go?”
“It was horrible,” sobbed one maid. “Big. Hairy.”
“No, it wasn’t hairy. It was like a giant lizard and it shed it scales everywhere.” The disputing maid pointed to a few dead leaves littering the floor.
“And it had the most fearsome roar,” noted another maid.
This interrogation was interrupted by pounding footsteps, as another page skidded into the room. “It’s headed for the kitchens!”
Up until this moment, Nobunaga had appeared somewhat amused by the entire situation… amused and slightly intrigued over the possibility of facing down a hideous beast. But now, an expression of panic crossed his face. “My konpieto!”
He took off running, with Hideyoshi and Mitsuhide immediately behind. Above them, unheard over the screaming, the soft whisper of little ninja feet as the observer in the ceiling also rushed toward the kitchens. He was in fact, slightly concerned that Kenshin, hearing of Mitsuhide’s plot (because Shingen’s mitsumono were usually right on things when it came to rooting out Oda’s plans) had rushed to Azuchi and was single handedly raiding the stores for his beloved umboshi.
Upon reaching the kitchens, Nobunaga was relieved to discover no hideous beast was present. Still, just to be certain, he grabbed his sacred stash of konpieto, opened the jar, and looked inside.
“I really doubt that the beast in question could fit into that jar,” Hideyoshi pointed out, as he stared at Nobunaga from the doorway.
“Might I offer the suggestion that it could indeed, if it were a shapeshifter.” Mitsuhide peered into the jar as well. “Could be a Rokurokubi.”
“I’m beginning to doubt that there was a beast at all,” Hideyoshi said, with some exasperation, and no conception of dramatic irony, as Shogetsu had wandered up behind him. “It was all a plot to scam extra konpieto.”
Nobunaga and Mitsuhide looked at the “beast” behind Hideyoshi. Then they looked at each other. And back at him.
“In fact, monkey…”
“Interesting that you should bring that up now.”
“Because-“
Hideyoshi sighed. “It’s behind me, isn’t it?” He half turned, just in time for Shogetsu to notice the fluffy, white fur collar on the man’s haori. The herbs that Ieyasu had administered made him feel rather needy, wanting a little something-something.
White fur…. Lady Tiger!
Instantly enamored, the tiger leaped upon Hideyoshi, pinning him to the wall.
Ka-thonk!
“Kabedon!” the ninja in the ceiling whispered to himself. A true kabedon, in the wild. That would definitely go on his sengoku bingo card.
“Oof!” Hideyoshi said, as the weight of the tiger carried both of them to the floor. Shogetsu gave a nice long tongue bath to his new lady love, before resting his head on Hideyoshi’s chest, closing his eyes, and settling in for a nice, long nap.
Nobunaga reached into the jar, pulled out a handful of konpieto, and threw it into his mouth, biting down with a satisfied crunch.
“Er,” Hideyoshi called, from under Shogetsu. “A little… help here?”
With an amused grin, Nobunaga shook the jar, and offered some candy to Mitsuhide. “Konpieto?”
“Why, thank you, my lord.” Mitsuhide took a couple pieces of candy.
“You don’t even taste food!” Hideyoshi forced the words out between clenched teeth.
Mitsuhide rolled the candy around on his tongue. “That is, indubitably true, however, even I can tell that the flavor might be improved with a few fava beans and a nice chianti.”
Shogetsu began snoring.
“Tell me, my dear Hideyoshi,” Mitsuhide continued, “have the maids stopped screaming?”
