Infernal Serenade Update (8/16/2022)

So...I had a choice. I could either wait until I finished chapter 41, knowing said chapter had received a lot less love than the other chapters and would therefore need to mostly be written from scratch (and that I would be unable to continue my usual flow), or count chapter 40 as my midpoint for my writerblr post.

I of course went with the latter, seeing as you are seeing this post now. I do plan to finish chapter 41 or significant parts of it before taking a much-needed break, and I'll let that be its own announcement post, but, for now...

Hi you all, it's finally that time where I announce I've gotten to the middle of part two and have significant portions of it complete. I'm...excited and proud, but also quite tired from pushing through on my less than confident writing days. Thankfully, letting previous chapters sit for a while has helped me feel a lot better about them, and I'll try to remind myself that I'm drafting and to just let it out as I continue.

This is currently my favorite quote in part two so far;

I just stared at him. At his pale frame in a comfortable pair of dark sweats and a t-shirt, wondering. Was this beautiful person really mine? He smiled at me so sweetly, as if hearing my thoughts and confirming it.

ALSO hey can we get some elaboration of the Chain having caught Warriors with Sidon???? What????

Lol it's not as exciting as you think.

Basically, the Chain ended up in the Zora's Domain and decided it would be a good place to rest for a few days. When they end up in friendly territory, they tend to split up and get some space from each other before having to spend every waking moment next to each other on the road again.

Warriors ended up getting introduced to Sidon probably at a welcoming banquet, and one thing led to another and they had a good night together-- fun overall, but Warriors was not really into Sidon asking him every 0.2 seconds if he was feeling okay. 8/10. Extra points for the double dick situation.

When Warriors rejoined everyone else, Wild was in the middle of telling the others about his old drama with Sidon. Primarily, how he's really into Sidon but Sidon won't do anything because it feels like a betrayal of Mipha's memory.

Warriors smartly decided to not gloat about banging the hot zora prince and just pretend it never happened. It would have worked too had Sidon not sent Warriors a bottle of ointment with a written note. Of course, Warriors can't read Wild's Hylian so he had to get Wild to read it aloud to him.

It was Sidon apologizing for any pain he might still be experiencing and that this ointment should be applied to the [REDACTED].

Warriors was mortified. Wild was pissed. Everyone else thought this was hilarious.

Court of opinion ruled in Warriors's favor but Wild never forgave and never forgot.

yuuta is very protective of omegas. when some disaster strikes or someone forgets to take their suppressants, it’s yuuta stepping up to the plate, getting them somewhere safe and private, or waiting it out with them until their partner arrives. he is always level headed, quiet but reliable, everyone assumes he is a beta, which figures.
