as someone who knows the animation pipeline deeply and has spent most of my life being very passionate abt the medium as a whole, seeing objectively wrong opinions about the dunmeshi anime and calling it "cheap and ugly" is insane to me
#tunaspeak#i saw a post in the tag that just drove me insane i am actually biting ankles#i will concede there are parts that could've been approached differently but....#animation is a whole different field you cannot expect to have them constantly moving.. that would take So much time and work for something#that would not necessarily Improve a punchline or moment#animation is all about knowing when and where to emphasize and choosing this wisely#to expect constant movement to be Good is a ridiculous notion

i think ppl are being a bit too hasty with claiming that the 8 pages of kabru party content was removed permanently ;; judging from the rest of the episode, a lot was shifted to make it more cohesive as a whole. it'll likely be brought back up again the next time we see them, since that's quite a bit away

believe me you don't have to like the title that gets chosen for a localization but when it was made by the mangaka herself and to call it "lazy, weak and pitiful" is genuinely really disheartening to me lmao

oh yeah, quick personal update on how things have been hanging since being here:
currently trying to crawl my way out of the canadian anim industry and get into indie games: i'm working at KO-OP on goodbye volcano high and D-CELL GAMES on UNBEATABLE :)
now living with my gf (moved out for the first time last year!!)
planning on just dumping art here every so often (unless twitter actually does explode) and reblog w/e (will tag accordingly)
this blog is in no way a professionally managed one; never has been and neither was my twitter, so don't expect that LOL
i've recently gotten into dunmeshi and i have immense brainworms from it. (i also started ff14 during the start of the pandemic and i'm trapped in hell)
