The series about Boba Fett came out really, let's say, not very well, I adore Boba, but this is really the same character about whom it was not worth making a whole series, Boba is good in his sudden appearance in the universe, his series in The Mandalorian is the best after the finale with Luke , according to ratings! This is a man of mystery that you look at and think *God, what's on his mind, he's really unpredictable and cruel*, and in the end we get a very soft and even a little funny pensioner. They shot only episodes 5 and 6, and even then, not with their plot, but just *god what nostalgia, Ahsoka is talking about a family friend 😭 Luke teaches Grogu like Yoda 😭 you look like a father 😭 poor father misses his son 😭 and so on .. .
The last episode once again shows us that Disney and his directors still have their any hobby left, slandering Luke from head to toe, showing us that this person has not learned anything and makes the same mistakes as his teachers. And in order for the series not to lose its ratings at all * they wanted the best duet of son and father to be together again, on ... choke! , and the fact that Luke did not bother to see Grogu off himself can be explained very simply ... Disney is greedy, to the point of madness, everything is very simple! Everything is very banal to be honest and it makes me very sad.
Although there is still something funny, our Skywalker boys are really terrible fathers, both of them!
One cuts off his son's hand, the other sends the tiny creature of one across the universe, perhaps to the most dangerous planet, even with R2))
Luke and Anakin/Vader are two sides of the same coin, and this is probably the exact truth! Although Luke will be a little smarter than his father.
I'm just gonna say it, and this may be an unpopular opinion:
Din should've NEVER been brought into the show.
This isn't just me being a Luke-fan, but for the sake of the story of Boba Fett. Things weren't amazing with the story but there were a lot of strong points (really the big crime was the treatment of the Tuskens and getting the teeny-bop-ranger gang) that made things compelling. The moment Din came in, it was over. He was the main focus. The story just lost control.
Episode 5 should've been the first episode of season 3, hands down. We should've never left Boba or Tatooine. We should've gotten Cobb earlier, Boba reaching out to Cobb and there be nods to Din and his story, and get Cad Bane at this time as well. A message could've been sent to Din and maybe he showed up at this final episode...but honestly, he shouldn't have been involved. This needed away from the plot of the Mandalorian.
It is through the shoehorning of Din that, oh, well now we need to see fan-favorite Grogu! And if we see Grogu, well, gotta see Luke...and then everything was far too rushed. I got an image of our Luke...but because they had to rush back to the story of Boba (last episode of all times) they just say "oh yeah, Luke just sent him off alone without coming to help".
Now, I'v been around the block with adoring certain characters and then poor writing comes in to brush them to the side and not really allow their depth or growth or self to shine...or sometimes just being used to cause problems that make no sense (Hello my beloved Haruno Sakura from Naruto) so, I got a bit thick skin with it. It pains me to ultimate agony they did my baby Luke like this (Especially with all the build up) but I know i have fanfiction and some parts of Tumblr, but may not get on the dinluke tag for a bit as I have seen people bashing Luke and using the tag to platform other pairings.
I am still gonna watch Season 3 and still hella gonna be into dinluke and Luke Skywalker. I am just so curious why so many at Lucasfilm (not saying it is Dave and/or Jon as I don't know their affection on Luke--i know a strange amount of people at Lucasfilm do not like Luke or the OT)
So, I'm just gonna write a little fix-it fic, go back to watching the Mandalorian, picture my beloved Luke, and just enjoy time with my fellow dinluke/luke staning friends and just do as the Jedi do and let it go.
But, you hear me Dave & Jon, you come for my boy again and I will unleash the wrath of an anxious filled-grad student and I WILL write a Luke novel. I will write one hell of a Luke novel and I will fight tooth and nail to get it published and make people adore Luke. You hear me?? I will start working on it now if necessary.
