So I got the “you’ve been reblogging Russian propaganda, but don’t worry, you’re not in trouble” letter.

I’ve apparently liked/reblogged posts from 34 (of ~80) of their deleted blogs, which seems like a high-ish number, but what would I know? Most of them are a mystery as to content, as I don’t have a tag search function on my blog and the blogs dont have super-obvious names like “trumpisawesome” or “russiancatjokes”. I can’t help noticing how many of them have “Black” somewhere in the blog title though. It’s a little distressing, especially in light of this.

I recall during the cold war that the Soviet Union used to use racial injustice in America as propaganda material. And yet, the fact that they used it didn’t mean it wasn’t actually shitty to be Black in America at the time. It’s a complex issue.

And in Im-not-sure-whether-its-related-news-or-not, I follow two overtly socialist blogs and a couple of overtly anarchist blogs that aren’t very active, and none of them are on the list, so that’s.... nice I guess?
