Jealous Quinn imagine, please? 🥺
Sure Angel!
-:-
"That's so interesting! What did you say your name was again?"
"Mark. What was yours sweetheart?"
"Y/N"
-
"Quinn, mate you look like you're going to kill that poor boy." Brock stated as he sat back down into the booth with his new beer.
"I might just. She giggled at him, giggled! What could he be saying that's giggle worthy?" the man exclaimed
"Your focusing quite a lot on this for someone who says he couldn't care less about who she talked to." Brock spoke matter of factly.
"I don't!" Quinn exclaimed
"Are you sure about that? Your trust seems to have flown out the window 25 minutes ago." Brock the ever observant best friend was treading the very thin line of Quinn's patience.
"It's not her I don't trust. It's the clown sitting next to her." Quinn mumbled into his drink to avoid sounding as petty as he was feeling. However his eyes never left the pair sitting at the bar. "It's fine. I just have to get over myself, she's a big girl she can take care of herself."
"Alright then! How about some pool, I saw a table on my way back from the bar."
"Yeah," He sighed eye flicking back over to the pair once more, "He's touching her!"
Shooting out of the seat and winding his way through the tables he reached the bar, "Hey mate, great conversation. Touch my girlfriend again and I'll touch you rather violently."
"Qui-" you tried to fight as he pulled you from the bar stool and through the patrons to the exit. Once on the side walk he stopped rather abruptly causing you to collide into his muscular chest.
"You still love me right?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure."
"Very."
"I don't want to be seen as toxic but I hate when other guys touch you."
"Well you don't need to threaten them."
"Duly noted"

hiding a relationship and getting caught
trevor x hughes sister!!
the brothers finding out
“caught”
trevor zegras x f!hughes!reader
birdie’s 300 celly
You heard the front door open and a distant call of your name. Lifting your head off the bed, you listened intently and began to panic as you heard footsteps getting closer to your bedroom.
“Trev,” you whispered. “You gotta stop. Somebody’s here.”
Trevor continued kissing up your neck, no doubt carelessly leaving marks you would have to cover up later. “Nah, baby, it’s fine. They’ll go away.”
“Trevor, I’m serious. It could be one of my brothers.” You were desperately trying not to moan as he sucked on your sweet spot.
He placed a final kiss on your shoulder blade before pulling away and meeting your eyes. His lips were red and swollen, and while his pupils dilated when he looked at you, his narrowed eyes told you how he felt. “Do we always have to do this? Would it be so bad if they found out?”
After about six months of dating in secret, you often wondered the same thing. “Like this? Very bad.”
A knock sounded at the door of your bedroom. “Y/n? You in there?” Jack’s voice asked from the hall.
“Just a sec!” you called out, hurrying to push Trevor off of you and grab your discarded shirt from the floor. You motioned to the closet and he scrambled to hide himself in it.
You tried to push your hair down to make it look mostly normal before opening the door. Jack eyed you up and down. “Is Trevor here?”
You heard a yelp from the closet that you tried to cover up with a cough as you felt heat rise to your face. “No, why?”
“His car is in the driveway,” Jack stated obviously. Another sound from the closet.
“Is there something in there?” Jack asked, trying to peer around the door before you stopped him with a hand to his chest, pushing him back.
You chuckled nervously. “Of course not. Don’t be stupid.”
Jack sniffed the air and furrowed his eyebrows. “You smell like Axe. Why the fuck do you smell like that shit Trevor uses?”
“Better question. Why do you drop by my house unannounced?” you inquired, attempting to deflect the subject onto him.
“Because I can do whatever I want,” Jack dismissed quickly. “Is Trevor in the closet?”
“No,” Trevor said, obviously from the closet.
You dropped your head in defeat as Jack swiftly moved past you into the room. He opened the closet door to find a shirtless Trevor leaning against the dresser.
“Surprise,” he said, rather unhelpfully.
Jack was quiet for a moment, taking in the scene in front of him. Trevor’s eyes flickered nervously to you, but you put your hands up and gave him a look that said, ‘You did this to yourself.’
“You’re boning my sister and you didn’t even tell me?” Jack marveled, sounding rather hurt.
You cringed, wrinkling your nose. “Ew, Jack. Don’t say ‘boning.’ That’s disgusting.”
He whipped his head around, scowling at you. “Is that not what you’ve been doing?”
You shrugged. “There are nicer ways to describe it.”
“You’re really not helping,” Trevor complained.
“I feel like I’ve been cheated on,” Jack said sadly, pretending to wipe a fake tear from his eye.
“Bro, you’re still my second favorite Hughes,” Trevor reassured.
“Second favorite?” Jack reeled.
“I mean, Y/n’s always been my favorite.”
Jack scoffed. “She’s not even the prettiest.”
“Excuse me?” you said. “I’m much prettier than you. In case you didn’t hear, he likes me the most.”
“Ladies, don’t fight over little old me. There’s plenty of Trevor to go around.” Trevor held up his palms, smirking at you both.
Jack looked disgusted. “She can have you, dude. I’m not into Axe body spray anyways.”
“It doesn’t even smell half bad,” Trevor said, mildly offended.
“No offense, Trev, but it kind of does,” you admitted.
“Yeah, and go put some clothes on, why don’t you?” Jack suggested, exiting the room with you in tow.
You stopped him in the hall with a hand on his arm. “Are you really not mad about this?”
Jack shook his head, the corners of his mouth twitching up. “No, he obviously likes you, and besides, I’m not the brother he should be worried about.”
“What do you mean?”
“Tell him to watch out for big brother Quinn.” Jack winked. You shoved at his chest, rolling your eyes.
“Shut up, man.” You looked back into the bedroom to see Trevor fumbling around with the sheets, still looking for his shirt. You watched him with a fond smile, knowing Jack was doing the same to you.
Little did Trevor know, he still had two other brothers to break the news to, and they wouldn’t be as forgiving.

Behind Closed Doors | Trevor Zegras
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: you and Trevor have been in a FWB relationship for over a year, but what happens when he gets jealous during your families yearly trip to the lake house?
song: I Can See You - Taylor Swift
request: yes/no
warnings: jealous (and lowkey toxic Trevor), fwb relationship, mentions of sexual themes but nothing explicit.
word count: 1.54k
authors note: this is the first Hughes sibling piece that I have ever done! Trevor does honestly give me that toxic boy vibe sometimes so I’m hoping I’ve given it justice. if you want to see more or be apart of the 150 celly you can check the playlist out here!
pt2
Tumblr media
Everywhere you looked he was there.
Trevor had been apart of the steady stream of guests that the lake house had homed for the last week and a half. Usually you loved having your brothers friends there, most you had grown to call friends of yours to. But Trevor was different.
You had been a study at the university of California for the entire duration of your degree. Jack had asked the older boy to look out for you because he couldn’t stand the idea of his twin sister being all the way across the country.
Being the good best friend that Trevor was he fully took on the role making sure that he saw you at least once a week and if the Ducks were playing a weekend game at home then you were there. You two spent two years doing that, you’d watch the occasional girl walk in and out of his life and you couldn’t help but feel your heart full with sorrow. From the day you met Trevor you actually found him really irritating but on your fifteenth birthday when he simply said that you looked nice, it all changed. Suddenly he was no longer just Jacks friend and national teammate but he was now also cute.
Over the two years you were his usual plus one to team events to the point where you somehow cracked the nod to join the wags group chat. Despite both of your efforts to shut down those rumours it always fell on deaf ears as the team had actually made a bet on when you two would finally admit to it.
But of course that day never came, the day that did come though was the one where you two slept together. It was after a surprising Ducks win and when Trevor came over to celebrate you were in nothing more than your towel as you were about to hop in the shower. With a simple surge of confidence that you got when he was left speechless at the sight, you asked if he wanted to join.
That was over a year ago yet it was the start of a different stage in your relationship. Once you two toed the line of being something more than friends you two got addicted, thus throwing yourselves into the deep end of that pool headfirst.
It was nice, your needs were met in bed and Trevor never treated you like you were just his fuckbuddy. You were everything that girlfriend was, except you didn’t have the title and beyond the comfort of your dorm and his apartment you were clearly nothing more than a friend.
Your mind refused to see the red flags that your friends raised. Each time they did you would brush it off as you tried to explain that he kept you his little secret for the sakes of the relationship he had with Jack.
As much as you loved your brothers you knew that they would kill any boy they learnt was in your bed.
Somehow your friends convinced you to see where you really stood with Trevor though. The plan was intricate and detailed but your job was simple.
All you had to do was treat him how he treated you. It meant that you practically had to ignore him.
By day three you wanted to give up, you wanted to send him a text and tell to come to your room.
But with the thought of your friends killing you, it caused you to prevail. In a way it was actually not as hard as you thought it would be, not when Alex was practically attached to your hip “Al!” You let out a squeal as the boy tackled you into the pool.
Trevor watched the interaction with a scowl on his face. Was Alex the one that you were inviting to your room when everyone went to sleep? And since when were you two so close? It seemed like every time he wanted to talk to you Alex was with you, either on the end of your sun lounger, sharing your couch with you. Or Trevor’s least favourite how you would be sat on Alex’s lap as his hands laced around your waist as he whispered sweet nothings in your ear.
It irritated him how nonchalantly Jack reacted about the actions, how the Devils player even laughed when your head came up out of the water.
You shoved the boys arm as you sent him a playful glare “asshole,” you murmured as you shook your head.
Alex grinned as he pulled you into a hug “you love me.” He smiled as he rested his chin on your head.
If you had to describe the Kings player you would say he was nice. Alex’s personality deserved more of a description than what the bland word gave him but it was exactly how you felt around him. Quinn came out of the kitchen pulling everyone’s attention away from the pool “who is on the boat in ten?” He asked as he placed his hands on his hips. Through the stream of nods you shook your head “gonna take a shower,” you announced as you got out of the water smiling as your younger brother was quick to hand you a towel.
This was the moment Trevor needed “I gotta call my mom,” he lied as his eyes watched you make your way back into the house.
The chirps from the boys were met with silence as the Ducks player didn’t care, not when he was going to talk to you.
For Trevor the week had been hell, having to watch you walk around in your little bikinis and not being able to touch you was the worst. Yesterday he watched you eat a popsicle and swore that you were doing it all to screw with him. The way your lips wrapped around the flavoured ice was the same way your lips usually wrapped around his cock.
So naturally there was a slight pep in his step as he didn’t really care about the fact that all three of your brothers were still downstairs “mom?” You called out from your bathroom as you heard the door open.
It brought a laugh from Trevor’s lips “haven’t called me that before,” he teased as he leaned against the frame of your bathroom door.
Your eyes went wide as you looked at the boy “what are you doing here?” You asked as you crossed your arms.
It irritated you how calm he was being “missed you,” he confessed as he walked into the bathroom and sent you a smile “missed these,” he added as he let his finger run through the strap of your bikini.
The feeling sent shivers down your spine “took you a week to decide that?” You cocked your head as the boy moved his finger to the gap between the two cups of your bikini top as he pulled you closer to him.
Trevor gave you this look that made you weak in the knees “knew it from the first day,” it came to a surprise for the boy when you didn’t even get off of the couch to hug him when he arrived.
You were too engrossed in the game of Mario Kart that you had going with Cole to even bat an eyelash at the New York native.
His possessiveness put a smile on your face “you jealous?” You asked as you raked your fingers through the ends of his hair.
It was a move that made him melt, he loved it when you had your fingers in his hair “nope,” his lips popped as he shook his head “why should I be when I’m the one in here with you?” Trevor pointed out as he ran his thumb over your lip.
The comment caused you to frown “could have had Alex in here just as fast.” You mumbled as you tried to look at the ground.
Trevor didn’t let you though as he hooked his fingers under your jaw “you know he couldn’t give you what I can,” he warned as he softly squeezed your chin.
You almost wanted to laugh “and what is it that you can give me?” You batted your eyelashes at him.
The hockey player pecked your lips “the fucking world baby,” he explained as he smiled “now he a good girl and start the shower for me.” His voice was soft as he leaned over to turn your speaker on that immediately connected to his phone.
The request made you furrow your eyebrows “why?” You asked as you watch him pick the playlist that you had made one day when you were bored.
Trevor leaned down to your ear “would hate for your parents to hear what I have in mind for you,” it made your knees buckle as your back was pushed against the cold tile of your bathroom wall.
You were quick to nod “my good little girl,” he repeated those words as he kissed your neck before he watched you make your way to the shower to fulfil his request.
No matter how hard you tried, your relationship was always going to stay like this.
Only for your eyes,
Only behind closed doors.

Baby Fever - Trevor Zegras x Reader
Tumblr media
Hockey Masterlist
Warnings: swearing, smut adjacent content (post-sex interaction/make out), a joke about cheating, a joke about death, and semen... in that order...
Words: 2322
Requested: Can you please do a trevor blurb where him and y/n go to a pumpkin patch with their nephew and Trevor's playing with their nephew and y/n gets so much baby fever please
A/n: Hey y'all! I'm taking a break from the Jamie series of firsts with a requested fic. I kinda riffed on the request so there are some things you need to know beforehand: 1) they're not babysitting a nephew, they're babysitting Troy Terry's kid Greyson 2) I'm aware Greyson is currently an infant but in this fic he's a toddler 3) I understand you asked for a blurb but I'm ass at writing blurbs 4) therefore this is a part 1. (Part 2 coming soon ish?) Enjoy!
Troy Terry had sworn to never let Trevor Zegras supervise his son. Or at least, before I was in the picture anyway. I had befriended Dani over the course of several Ducks’ games after Trevor and I became official. We somehow managed to have the same schedules despite having vastly different lifestyles; at the time, she was a new mom adjusting to domestic bliss, and I was a senior at UC Irvine preparing for my post-grad plans. Now that I’m not overwhelmed with work as a student, she and I grew pretty close. More often than not, we found ourselves having several hangouts without our guys present. Naturally, I saw Greyson a lot, considering the fact that I would spend my time with Dani in the Terry residence.
Our latest hang out consisted of us gabbing about the latest drama with Greyson’s preschool over a glass of wine. In telling me that Greyson was between daycares right now, I offered to take him off her hands for a night so she and Troy could have a much needed date night. At first, Dani refused, not wanting to dump the responsibility on me, but I insisted. There were several pros: I love kids, Dani has done plenty of favors for me before, Greyson’s already comfortable with me, and they wouldn’t have to pay for a babysitter. Pleased with my argument, Dani agreed and the plans were set.
This Friday, the team had a day off and rather than having the guys disappear onto the nearest golf course, Dani and Troy began planning their night off, as did Trevor and I.
“Hey, babe, I was thinking about how to spoil you and thought we could get a table at The Ranch tonight. What do you say?” Trevor asks, holding my hips and subtly pinning me against the kitchen counter.
“About that.”
“What’s up?” He asks, deviously dipping his head down. I don’t give in to whatever seduction game he’s playing, and quickly peck him on the lips.
“I kind of made evening plans.” He takes the kiss in stride and looks at me teasingly.
“Is your boyfriend back in town already?”
“Yeah, he wanted to go to The Ranch, too. I just can’t have my boyfriend and my side piece in one place, soooo.”
“I’ve been demoted to ‘side piece’? Ouch,” Trevor laughs before sliding his hands along my waistband to clasp behind my lower back, and pull me into him so our hips touch. “Fuck. Now you’ll never pick me over him!”
“Oh, that was always the plan. Don’t get it twisted.” He laughs once more before asking,
“What’s going on tonight?” I open my mouth to answer and as I do, he slips his hand down to grab my ass, catching me by surprise.
“Hey!” Right as I scold him, Jamie walks into the kitchen to refill his water bottle. I try to bite back the smile that creeps across my features, flustered by Jamie’s newfound presence.
“Hey Jamo,” Trevor says casually, to try and ease the awkwardness.
“You guys know I still live here, right?”
“Sorry, Jamie.”
“I’m going grocery shopping. Just try to keep it in your room, Z.”
“Keep what in my room?” He asks, playing dumb, much to Jamie’s dismay. He merely shakes his head and leaves the kitchen. Watching Jamie leave, Trevor follows with his gaze, tracking Jamie’s movements to the opposite direction until he hears the front door open and close. After, he turns back to face me, “You were saying?”
“I told Dani I would watch Greyson.”
“What?!” I half expected Trevor to be upset, but he’s sporting the widest smile I’ve ever seen.
“Yeah, she and Troy were due for some alone time, so I offered to take him to the pumpkin patch tonight.”
“When?”
“They’re dropping him off around 5.”
“5. What time is it now?” Trevor leans away from me to look at the clock on the oven that reads 2:57. “Oh, we have time.”
“Time for wha-” I cut myself off with a screech as Trevor picks me up and sits me on the open counterspace. He pushes my knees apart to stand between them, the dominant action in tandem with the cold countertop underneath me sends shivers down my spine. He then kisses me passionately, trailing his fingers up the length of my exposed thighs. His hands find the top of my waistband, running along the hem as he presses his hard on into my core. I hold either side of his face in my hands, squeaking once more as Trevor picks me up and carries me to his bedroom.
___________________________
Panting and still slightly sweaty, I check my phone to see the clock reads 4:43. “Shit.”
“What?” Trevor asks curiously. He’s laying on top of the covers, fully nude and sprawled out, after having collapsed on the bed next to me.
“It’s 4:43,” I say between sticky breaths. He shuts his eyes and groans loudly,
“Give me, like, five minutes.”
“Uh, no sir. You need to get me a towel so I can get up and pee.” Trevor’s eyes shoot open and he sits up.
“Right. Boyfriend duties await.” His expression is humorous and I can’t help but notice the way his abs flex through the movement. If it weren’t too late, I’d have jumped him again, then and there. He rolls off the bed, sliding on the nearest pair of briefs he can find. Trevor then grabs the towel hanging on the doorknob, and walks over to where I am on the bed, propped up on my elbows. The gravity of holding myself up causes the beaded sweat to roll down my cleavage, and on to my stomach where Trevor had finished a few minutes prior. He doesn’t say anything but I clock the way his eyes are trained on my chest as he approaches me. I hold out my hand for the towel but he holds it out of reach.
“What are you-?”
“Lay down.”
“What? Why?”
“Just do it!” I confusedly put my head back on his pillow and Trevor grabs both ends of the towel, opening it up to lay it over me. “I’m calling it. Time of death, 4:44 PM. Rest in peace, Y/n, I’ll miss you.”
“Oh my god,” I say from under the towel. Pulling it off my face, I sit back up to find Trevor snickering at his own joke. “Are you proud of yourself?”
“Very.” He leans down and places a sweet kiss on my lips. When he pulls away, my eyes flutter open and he gently lifts the towel to cover his hand, then wipes off the leftover fluid. I look up at him as he moves, a soft smile of adoration painting my features. Trevor looks down at me and widens his eyes teasingly before relaxing to smile at me again.
The sound of the front door opening echoes down the hall and from the entrance we hear Jamie call, “I’m back! Please tell me you’re clothed!”
“Don’t worry about it, Jamo!” Trevor calls back before wadding up the used towel and throwing it at me.
“Ew!” I should’ve known him being sweet wasn’t going to last. Sliding off the side of the bed, I pick up my clothes and walk into the bathroom to pee. After I’m dressed again, I come out to see Trevor had thrown on the outfit he was wearing earlier: a v-neck polo and board shorts.
“You can’t wear that,” I say in disbelief.
“Why?” Trevor looks at me in confusion. Turning to the mirror that hangs on the back of the door, he takes in the fresh hickeys littered across his exposed chest. “Oh shit.” The revelation is perfectly timed with a knock on the door. Nudging Trevor out of the way, I exit his bedroom and leave him to change. Jamie is unloading groceries with his airpods in and I wave when I walk by to signal that we’re done and he can exist peacefully again.
Answering the front door reveals Dani and Troy in the nicest casual clothing I’ve ever seen. The Terry’s smile upon seeing me and I look at Greyson who’s sitting on Dani’s left hip.
“Hi Grey!” I cheer and he immediately smiles. I then notice Troy holding what seems to be Greyson’s booster seat and as I go to reach for it, Trevor appears behind me. Greyson runs inside and begins punching Trevor’s leg with all the might his almost-four year old arms can manage. I laugh but Dani scolds,
“Greyson, we don’t hit people, remember?” He immediately stops, thinks for a moment, and then proceeds to throw punches at Trevor but without making contact. Dani sighs exhaustedly before saying, “Good enough.”
“How’s it going, man?” Trevor asks Troy, causing Dani and me to look at the guys incredulously.
“You saw each other yesterday,” I tease. Trevor shrugs as he takes the car seat from Troy.
“Terry’s my boy though,” He responds somewhat jokingly. Greyson then speaks up,
“What about me?” The group laughs about the sweet question but Greyson isn’t amused. He looks around, confused, before stepping further into the apartment to scope it out. Greyson then yells, “I wanna go to the pumpkin patch!”
“Read you loud and clear, bud,” Trevor replies. Then, Dani asks practically,
“What time do you need him out of your hair?” To which I reply,
“Oh don’t worry about it, we can hang onto him for as long as y’all need.”
“Are you sure?”
“Of course.”
“Okay, well, his bed time is eight, and that’s usually around when we get tired anyway, so we’ll be here around then?.”
“8 it is,” I say with a smile, leaning away to look at Greyson fully. He smiles shyly before hiding his face against Trevor’s leg. “Why are you being shy, Grey-Grey?” I ask, looking down at his level.
“I think he has a little bit of a crush on you.”
“Really?” I ask with a tiny bit of a laugh. Troy chimes in,
“Yeah, he was super excited when she told him you were the one babysitting-”
“He’s been looking forward to it all week.” Dani finishes Troy’s sentence before they look at one another and smile, “In fact, he told me he has something to tell you, right Grey?”
“You’re pretty, Y/n,” He admits before running away, which causes the four of us to laugh.
“I told you my boyfriend was back in town,” I tease, which then makes Trevor laugh heartily. Turning back to Dani and Troy, they both look confused and I feel my cheeks grow warm in embarrassment.
“Inside joke,” I reassure. They nod and offer a few goodbyes to me, Trevor, and Greyson, before heading out for good.
Closing the door behind us, Trevor sets down the car seat and says,
“I gotta up my game now that I have competition.”
“Yeah, so behave!” Trevor touches his left hand to his heart, giving me a look that reads melodramatically offended, “You’re currently in the lead, though.”
“I better be,” he bites back, wrapping his arm around the back of my body, coming to rest his right hand on my hip. His thumb brushes the hem and I look up at him over my left shoulder,
“You’re still turned on?” I whisper, in shock. Trevor doesn’t reply. His hand slinks down to my ass as he kisses my lips heatedly, before he goes to follow Greyson’s path. I follow close behind and see Greyson’s found Jamie in the kitchen.
“Can I have one?!” Greyson shrieks upon finding a box of fruit by the foot. Jamie laughs at his excitement before asking,
“Do your parents even let you have sugar?” The dry humor is lost on the young child but I snort a laugh.
“I’ve had these before in my lunch!”
“...Okay, sure. Let me open it for you. I don’t trust you to not destroy the box.”
“Jame, can you keep an eye on him for a second so we can get shoes on?” Trevor asks.
“He just got here and you’re already pawning off your responsibility on me?” Jamie playfully accuses Trevor, who looks offended. I laugh, partially at Jamie’s joke, and partially at watching Trevor misunderstand his roommate in real time. Jamie looks at me and we laugh about the joke going over Trevor’s head.
I then head for the bedroom to search for the shoes I was once wearing. Trevor enters a little after I do to pull a pair of white sneakers from his closet. He’s uncharacteristically quiet. I almost want to ask what for, but then I’m overcome with the desire to let him stew in the silence. If I wait long enough, he’ll have to speak. He always does. Or, at least, he usually does.
“Do you want kids?” He works up the nerve to ask, quickly adding, “Someday?” in hopes of softening the blow of the genuine conversation topic.
“Probably someday,” I answer simply, which sends him back into an introspective silence for a moment.
“How many kids would you want?” I look over at him to see he’s staring at me, as if tearing his gaze away would shatter the moment. I continue putting on my shoes,
“I think two is a good number. That way they can have a sibling, but not so many that they would feel their needs went unmet. Why?”
“I could do two,” Trevor says assuredly, ignoring my question.
“Well, I’m sorry to break it to you, but you’re about two rings short of trying to have a baby with me right now,” I assert in a teasing way, although I’m not joking. The tension of the conversation dissipates as Trevor laughs.
“Fair point,” Trevor squints his eyes at me, “But we can still practice, right?” I laugh again before nodding,
“We can at least agree on that.”

Wildest Dreams | T. Zegras
1989 TV fics masterlist!
pairing: Trevor Zegras x fem!reader
word count: 0.5k
warnings: none?
summary: Trevor promises to always remember you in his wildest dreams
not my gif!
Tumblr media
“Let’s get out of this town.” Trevor’s voice interrupting the peace that had filled the space, his voice soft for once.
“What?” Dropping your phone on your chest, you answered him, looking up at him.
Your bodies splayed in different directions on your couch, you lying on your back while trevor was on his side. Craning your neck back to stare at him as he spoke, hid body moving enough to partially sit up.
“Let’s just go for a drive, okay?”
You nodded, getting up with him as he grabbed his keys, running behind him to his Bronco. Quickly sliding into the passenger seat beside him, he started his car, heading off quickly. His hand reached out to pass you the aux, letting you shuffle your guys’ playlist. Wildest Dreams playing softly before he reached for the dial, turning the music up loud and singing along.
He pulled quickly onto a dirt road, slightly drifting the corner as you yelled at him to slow down, him laughing in response. He drove another ten minutes before abruptly stopping, quickly ushering you out of the Bronco.
“Just get on the roof and watch with me.” He told, climbing on the roof of the car before helping you up, giving the best view of the beautiful sunset.
It was one of your best memories with your best friend, things were different now. Something had changed.
“No one has to know what we do.” His hands are in your hair, his clothes around your room. Nodded in subtle agreement, leaning in to kiss his lips again. His body leading you back towards your bed, letting you fall onto it before he leaned in to kiss you again.
Nothing lasts forever, but this is getting good now.
His strange distance was enough for you to notice, his jokes of you never noticing anything failing now. Unread messages sent to his phone, at least 10 voicemails left with no answer. He’d just disappeared, but you knew he hadn’t.
He was still posting with Jamie, he was still at every ducks game, he was still in Anaheim.
You knew when you saw him, two months later, he regretted everything. Seeing you in hindsight, tangled up with him all night, was enough to break a man.
“Baby,” He started, walking towards you “Missed you.”
“Trev, you know I missed you, you also know we can’t do this again.”
He nodded, accepting he’d never be with you again, he knew it would end badly. So he agree, even after his heart crackled a little at the loss of you.
“Say you’ll remember me, standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset.” The words came out quickly, quietly barely above a whisper.
“You know I will, baby.” He smiled, a small one, just enough before he wrapped his arms around you.
Pulling your body against his, one last time before he had to say goodbye. He was aware of your plans to leave one day, maybe that’s why he drifted from you. But he knew he’d always remember you, exactly how you wanted.
“Say you’ll see me again, even if it’s just pretend, in your wildest dreams.”
“I’ll always see you in my dreams, you know this baby.” He smiled, leaning down to give you one last kiss.

"You're so beautiful. They should make like a sculpture of you." maybe cuddling with zegras while looking at his tattoos cuz he has the nike statue on his arm
aww i love this idea!
you traced trevor's tattoos, your eyes repeatedly being drawn towards a specific one.
his tattoo of nike - the greek goddess of victory.
"whatcha looking at?" trevor smiled, brushing the hair out of your face.
you shrugged a little, tracing his tattoo. "nike. i think that's my favourite tattoo. it looks so pretty."
"you look so pretty," trevor remarked, and he meant it.
the way you bit your lip in concentration, focusing on nothing except the tattoo you were tracing - you were the most beautiful thing in his eyes.
"oh please," you scoffed, rolling your eyes as you continued tracing his tattoo.
"no really," he insisted. "you're so beautiful. they should make a sculpture of you. now that's a tattoo i'd get."

🖤Long story short…it was the wrong guy!🖤
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Trevor zegras x Cherrie! / Quinn Hughes x Cherrie!
Word count: 10k (I have a problem k)
Summary : in which long story short he was the wrong guy. -or Trevor thinks back to times when he should have realised that he was never the one. Because best friends don’t look at each other like they do.
Warnings- angst. Like , heartbreak for trev. A tiny bit of fluff at the end? Depends how you see it I guess. A bit of a different story than usual, wanted to try my hand at writing more angst. I want to write a oneshot for Crosby next but I have no idea about what. Hopefully inspiration will hit me in the face because I miss writing like I used to so easily!! Anyways lemme know what u think please. U guys up for more angst or nah? 👀Xoxo
Trevor thought that maybe he had been in denial about his relationship with Cherrie for a while now , unable to believe that what everybody was telling him could be true . Refusing to see what was right in front of him all along , the red flags waving and all the clues were set out in Stone for him to see.
But he looked away each and every time because Cherrie was so fucking beautiful and Trevor wanted to be her boyfriend , wanted to her call her his girl.
But was she ever his really?
It shouldn't have taken as long as it did for him to see the truth. For him to take off his rose coloured glasses and moved past the gaze of her beauty and his foolish hope . To see that her eyes doesn't look for him like his did for her. To realise that his friends were right.
It took Jamie coming over to him one Saturday while they were at the lake house , sat beside Jack as the sun started to set. Beers all around as they chatted between each other , tired from the day of hanging out and just having fun while they could .
It had been a good day , he called it. Refused to think about the fact that his girlfriend had hardly even spoken to him since the summer began , the only time that he got her to himself was when the lights went out and Quinn went to sleep. The she snuck back into their room to join him, let him kiss her like he had wanted to everyday.
But she was too busy with her best friend and Trevor was busy trying not to see the looks his friends were giving him, pushing away the uneasy thoughts and doubt that crept in each time he saw them together.
Then Jamie winced sympathetically and patted his shoulder , handing him a beer . Oblivious.
"I can't believe how well you're taking this." Jamie spoke in amazement , getting both of their attention.
Trevor more than confused as they both followed his gaze down to see his friend looking down to the lake , to where Cherrie and Quinn were messing about together .
Both had Big grins on their faces as they splashed at each other in the water , Cherie squealing with laughter as he hoisted her up into his arms , her arms sliding around his neck as she giggled loudly , Quinn beaming up at her as he spun her around . Laughing as she clung to him , threatening him not to drop her. Everybody knowing that he wouldn't dare. He clung tighter to her instead. Eyes never leaving her pretty face .
"I know breakups are hard man. It's gotta suck-" he slowly trailed off when he looked back over to see Trevor frowning at him , looking more than confused at him, while Jack just hid his grin behind his bottle of beer. Shaking his head at poor Jamie slowly.
"What?" Trevor looked at him like he was insane.
"we're not broken up? What the hell are you talking about dude?" He forced out a laughed . Acting like everything was completely fine and normal.
Tearing his eyes away from his girlfriend on Quinn's shoulders now, refusing to watch the way he clung onto her bare, wet thighs and the way she gripped onto his waist with her legs. More than comfortable with each other, something that came from years of friendship and love.
Jamie blinked like an owl at him. Lips parting in disbelief as he flickered his eyes between Quinn and Cherrie messing about in the water together , then back to a scowling Trevor and face palming Jack.
"Oh." Was all he could get out , shocked .
He then laughed awkwardly , slowly nodding his head. "Sorry. I just thought-" he glanced over just in time to see Quinn push her wet hair away from her face gently , softly stroking at the sunburn over her cheeks .
His eyes widened incredulously . "Never mind ." He mumbled .
Patting trevors shoulder again, this time in silent pity before quickly making his Leave. Not wanting to be the one to explain what he was currently thinking . He didn't want to be the one to break it to him. No way.
Trevor felt a surge of irritation hit him, hearing his girlfriend sweet giggle and Quinn's low laugh as held her .
He scoffed , gripping his beer bottle tighter between his fingers .
"Why the hell does everybody think that?" He snapped. Sick of it.
Jack slowly turned his head to look at him like he was insane , brows furrowing in disbelief at how stupid his friend could possibly be.
He scoffed at him incredulously "dude come on..." he nudged him, trying to get him to admit it. To get him to see what everybody else did.
When Trevor just looked back at him blankly , refusing to even look in their direction .
Jack sighed long and hard, deciding then that he was going to have to be the one to uncomfortably break it to him.
He shifted on his seat with a grimace , cursing out his brother a thousand times in his mind. Wishing that he didn't have to do this, but it was getting harder and harder to watch. Getting more difficult to ignore .
Because Trevor was a good guy and he was his friend after all. But Quinn was also his brother and Cherrie was also his friend.
So it put him in a sticky position, of not wanting to pick sides but also wanting to bash all three of their heads together to get them to see what was right in front of them. Knowing in him That this really wasn't going to end well.
Somebody was going to have their heart broken and Jack had a feeling that it wasn't going to be Cherrie.
He looked at Trevor and sighed "I didn't want to be the one to have to have this conversation with you but ...I can't just not say anything. You're going to get hurt man. I don't want you to..not like this." His eyes pleaded for him to make it easy for him and just say he understood.
But Trevor was locked in a self induced game of denial, so he sipped his beer and glanced away. Scowling darkly .
"I don't know what you mean. We're fine." He denied Quickly. Fingers tapping against the bottle harder each time he heard them laugh together. Holding each other closer.
Jack shook his head , pursing his lips as he felt a surge of both sadness and anger for his friend. Just wishing that he would stop pretending .
He was stuck right in the middle wanting nobody to get hurt but knowing that the ending would be impossible for someone’s heart not to be broken. They were playing the long game and it hurt him to witness.
He was angry at Trevor for pretending to be so blind to what was playing out right in front of him.
He was angry at his brother for being such a fucking coward and pushing Cherrie straight into his friends awaiting arms. and he was angry at Cherrie for Leading Trevor on like this.
Jack hated it. Because he just wanted them all to be happy but he knew that none of them are going to be happy like this.
It was all so wrong .
He shook his head "look at her smiling right now Trevor." He determinedly pushed his friends head to force him to look at the scene playing out right in front of him to see.
Quinn was pulling her up onto the giant floaty , pulling her between his legs while she rung out her wet hair . Laughing at something he said , Quinn picking up some sunscreen and pulling her leg onto his lap as he gently rubbed it into her burning skin , eyes fondly watching her as she babbled away to him about something or other .
Trevor watched them, then swallowed his suddenly dry throat . "She's always smiling." He muttered , chest feeling heavy.
Jack nodded his head, pursed his lips and added "but you know who isn't?" He didn't give him a chance to guess. The answer was easy.
“My brother and look at him now!" He threw his arm in their direction, towards the beaming smile on his older brothers face as they chatted , in each other's personal space . Hands never far from her skin.
And Jack hated having to be the one to say it but, he just couldn't let this go on any further. It was getting ridiculous now.
"I mean , shit z! They look like more of a couple than you two do! They never leave each other’s sides and she only ever comes running to you when he can't be around! Come on man.." Jack was looking at him incredulously . It was so obvious to him.
But the truth was hard and Trevor just got angry instead . "she's allowed to have Friends! I don't know what you're getting at." He snapped at him, crossing his arms across his chest . Empty beer bottle tossed to the side in Annoyance . Not wanting to hear it.
Jack scoffed at him, not letting it go. "Yes you do! That's why you're getting so defensive right now. Because you know I’m right."' he shot right back at him . Just as annoyed at his refusal to listen to him.
"My brother has never been so fucking happy and you know who's making him smile like that?" He stuck to it even when Trevor glared at him and muttered for him to 'shut up' warningly .
"You're girlfriend." He told him bluntly , shaking his head. "Cherrie makes him happy. Genuinely . She always fucking has."
"So fucking what?" He spat at him angrily , heart pounding n his chest as the sinking feeling kicked in.
His eyes stinging "she's funny and she makes people happy. There's nothing wrong with that!"
Jack was getting angry now , looking at his friend in disbelief . Unable to believe what he was hearing.
"Why are you doing this to yourself?" He wanted to know. Confused and angry and done with it all.
"I know that you're not this stupid. And you're definitely not blind. This has been playing out right since the start man...she was his friend first and you..." he couldn't even finish his sentence before Trevor snapped again.
His face was desperate as he ran a hand through his hair angrily "I made sure that he was okay with it! I asked him if it was okay for me to go after her and he said he didn't care and to do whatever I wanted!" He butted in. He was not the bad guy here.
He knew how close Cherrie and Quinn were , knew the stories of how inseparable they were. But she was just so fucking beautiful and Trevor would have been an idiot not to shoot his shot when he found out that she was single and that Quinn was just a friend.
He had made sure to ask him, because he was a good guy. He had been drunk, they all had been. And Trevor could hardly take his eyes off of Cherrie that night as she danced with anyone and everyone , dressed in a tiny dress and a Hollywood smile on her face , he had been hooked .
So he asked Quinn if he could ask her out, and he had looked at him silently for a long moment before swallowing and muttering 'sure.' Not giving him much more of his time before he was making some excuse to leave. Leaving Him with the perfect position to slide in and accompany a confused and disappointed Cherrie when she asked him where Quinn had went.
"Home. Said he was bored and left." Trevor had told her with a charming grin. Love struck.
He had missed the way her smile had fell and the way she swallowed and let out a small 'oh'. Then he asked her out and her eyes had lingered on where Quinn had been sitting before telling him yes. Then the rest was history.
Jack groaned in Annoyance , head in his hands. His brother was an idiot .
“Yeah well, he's a fucking liar! Come on man, he's always been in love with her. And he's always been at the top of her list . Always. Just think back T. You know it's true." He pleaded with him.
So he did. And his heart broke to pieces .
He thought back to the day in March when he had arrived at her apartment after a long day of practice , wanting to just see his girlfriend and relax. Have quickie , some good food and get the hell to sleep.
Instead , as he walked through her door, he was met with the sight of Cherrie and Quinn sat crossed legged on her velvet couch . His girlfriend in between his spread legs , humming along to the movie on the tv while Quinn braided her hair , well, attempted to.
"It's only forever! It's not long at alllllll!" She sang out of tune loudly , leaning her head back against Quinn's shoulder to shoot him a cheesy grin. Serenading him on the couch , sounding absolutely nothing like bowie.
Trevor hovered by the doorframe for a moment as he watched them, putting his training bag down on the fooor with a slight frown. Having not realised that she had company , she hadn't told him.
He watched as Quinn chuckled at her dramatics , tugging on her hair on his hand a little to get her to lean back more , then he smacked the top of her forhead with his palm. Snickering when she gasped and send him a faux wounded look.
"You don't like my singing?" She pouted at him , letting him rest his arms around the front of her shoulders . Hugging her from behind as he leant back into the soft cushion on the couch , taking her body with him as she laid between his legs.
His eyes were glued to her singing lips as she continued to screech along to every single song that played on the labyrinth , doing her best to imitate them all. Terribly . But she was having fun and the smile on her face was so wide that Quinn felt his own smile begin to mirror hers .
Cheeks flushing a little with colour when she squeezed his cheeks between her fingers , head tilted back as she sang up to him without any embarrassment. Years of friendship solidifying the fact that there was no longer any shame between them.
She did and said whatever she wanted with Quinn , because she knew that his teasing was only ever from a place of love and humour. And that her stupidness was his own personal entertainment , and what was better than that?
"I think my ears are bleeding screechy." He told her with a shit eating grin on his face , easily dodging the slap coming his way.
He finished tying off the messy braid he had been working on as he laughed . Squeezing her to him fondly . "You're got the goblin voices down though. That's how you usually sound when you sing." He teased .
Cherrie gasped out a laugh , twisting in his arms to pinch at him. Grin too wide to be offended . "Hey!" She exclaimed , still not spotting Trevor by the doorway yet. Neither of them had, too far gone in their own little bubble to notice anything or anyone else. It had always been this way.
Their mothers had said that they got tunnel vision whenever they were together , needing to be physically pulled apart for them to listen to anybody else. It was like they went both blind and deaf, losing all senses when they were like this. Too lost in each other to care.
It had always been just Quinn and Cherrie, so adding a third party to the mix was strange and weird and not something that either of them were used to. And quite honestly , on Quinn's part, he wasn't keen on getting used to it anytime soon either.
And it wasn't that he didn't want Cherrie to be happy, because there was nothing more in the world that he wanted than to see her smile. But he just didn't like seeing her toothy smile being directed at anybody else but him.
He didn't like the ugly feeling it brought to his chest when she laughed at someone else’s jokes, he didn't like the way his stomach dropped when she told him that she had found someone. That she was dating again .
And Quinn hated it but mostly because he knew that this was his fault. He had been the one to give Trevor the go ahead in dating his best friend, he had practically encouraged it and pushed her straight into his arms by not saying a single thing.
He didn't tell her that he didn't want her with anybody but him, he didn't tell her that his heart was breaking each time he saw her kiss someone that wasn't him. He didn't tell her that she was his best friend but so much more than that at the same time. He didn't tell her that he was certain that she was his twin flame, his soulmate , both romantically and platonically. That She matched him in every way.
She made him so unbelievably happy . Because he loved her. He was in love with her. Always had been and always would be. Because it was Cherrie. It was just as simple as that. How could he not be? She was everything to him.
But he never told her that. Which was why he knew that he had no right to feel the ache in his chest or the jealousy in his blood just at the sight of them together.
Because he had done this. By being such a coward , too afraid to tell his best friend how he truly felt. His future was on the line. Because to him, Cherrie has always been in that picture. . Well, every picture in his mind. She was the starring role.
He saw them being best friends forever , even as he got down one knee. Even when he married her, when they had their own family . When he got his own happily ever after.
She was his. Because she has always been there and he had been Naive to think that he was the only one that pictured Cherrie in their future . That he was the only one that wanted to love her like that forever .
He had waited too damn long and now Trevor had beaten him to it. And Quinn had to listen to her tell him all about each and every date they went on together , about the first kiss, the first time they slept together . The first time Trevor had told her 'I love you'. Quinn had to sit there and hear it all, like his own personal punishment for not opening his mouth and telling her how he felt all these years ago.
And now he has lost her to fucking Trevor of all people and he had to face the consequences of his own cowardness.
But he wasn’t going to lose her . He wouldn't let himself . Or them . Or Trevor . Or anything or anyone else get in the way of who they were.
They are still the same Quinn and Cherrie that did everything together , that had no personal space and no boundaries between them. They are still them and Quinn would have to be happy with that.
For now.
Before Cherrie could open her mouth to resort back to him, they both jumped when Trevor finally made his presence known to them.
Scoffing loudly as he entered the front room, cherries eyed widening in shock as she placed a hand over her racing heart, not realising that he had come in at all.
"You're not seriously watching this shit again Cherrie?" Trevor groaned , rolling his eyes as soon as he spotted the movie that they were watching.
Quinn tensed up for a moment , brows furrowing as he saw cherries smile drop for a second bedroom she quickly masked it and let out a laugh instead , but he could tell that it wasn't the same laugh that she been giggling with him. It wasn't as genuine or as light , more strained and accepting instead.
"Hey! It's my comfort movie Trev! I love watching it." She reminded him as though everybody didn't already know about her obsession with it.
But she had been watching it repeatedly since she was a kid and it wasn't going to change how. She usually alternated between the labyrinth and the Addams family . She was a woman of taste after all.
Trevor snickered as he wandered into the kitchen to grab a drink from the fridge . "And what to do you need comforting about?" He called to her in slight amusement .
Cherrie just sighed long and hard. Leaning her had back against Quinn's arm as she responded dramatically "life dude."
Quinn snorted , flicking at her forhead with his finger in amusement . He briefly looked up from her pretty face just as Trevor came back into the room, his eyes darting down to their position on the couch before arching his eyebrow at him.
Quinn just relaxed further into her , raising a brow straight back. He wasn't moving anytime soon.
"It's David Bowie In Tights". He stated like that was all Trevor needed to know . "She's never going to turn it off." He said.
Cherrie laughed , grinning at him as she levelled him with a look. "Don't put this all on me! You love it just as much as I do! You're the one that told me to put it on." She reminded him swiftly . Tucking her feet breath her to her more comfortable.
Quinn bashfully looked down at her hair instead of meeting her knowing eyes , fiddling with her braid he made .
“Cause I know it makes you feel better." He muttered quietly .
She looked at him for a long moment , taking in his scabbed nose that was still healing , his messy hair that was sticking out below his ears . Eyes trailing down to the sweatpants and her oversized hoodie that he was wearing .
Smiling a little at way they always ended up wearing each other's sweaters , even when they had they're own. Cherrie was certain that the reason most of her oversized hoodies had been going missing was because of him.
Both of them preferring to wear each other’s sweaters instead. It made her chest arm and she smiled .
"You make me feel better." She told him softly , honestly . Forgetting for a moment that they weren't alone and that her boyfriend was still in the room with them , watching their interaction with a frown on his face.
She added as an after thought "and you’re getting so much better at braiding now. I might make you do it for me all the time." She praised him , taking her braided hair out from his hand to admire his work.
She knew that he had been watching videos to learn how to do it for her after hearing her complain about how she hated doing her hair but hated having it straight down . Yet refusing to cut it.
So he had been learning how to French braid hair to make her happy. It was working . Quinn saw the soft smile on her Pretty face and blushed.
Trevors frown deepened . He coughed a little , feeling annoyed when both of their heads snapped over to him. Seeming to only then remember that he was even there at all.
Seeing his annoyed look, Cherrie gave him a smile "you want to watch it with us?" Having been trying to get Him to like her interests . But he just refused to bite. No matter how many times she begged him to watch her favourite Movie or listen to her favourite songs . He just wouldn't .
Quinn did.
Trevor scoffed out a laugh "fuck no. I can't watch this shit again. Not my thing." He said while leaning down to steal a kiss from her .
Deliberately deepening it for a moment for Quinn to see, narrowing his eyes at him a little when he finally pulled away.
Quinn's jaw was clenched as he stared straight ahead at the tv , kicking Trevor away from him seeing as he has to lean down onto his space to kiss Cherrie since she was still laid in his arms. Quinn wanted to kick the smug smirk Straight off his face , he really did.
"I'm gonna go play Xbox. Order me some takeout please? Quinn's paying." Trevor said with a smirk as he gave her one last kiss before moving away to head to her gaming room Instead.
Cherrie let out a disappointed sigh, watching him go with a small frown.
Quinn scoffing beneath his breath as him. "Fuckhead." He muttered moodily "I'm making sure they soak his pizza in pineapple." He said.
Cherrie looked at Him in amusement "he hates pineapple ." She replied. Letting him pull the fluffy blanket around them .
Quinn dimming the lights as he pulled her closer to him. Gently Stroking at the soft skin of her stomach where her shirt has ridden up with his thumb.
"Exactly." Was all he murmured . Grinning at her as he tucked her into his side. Pressing his lips against the side of his head, content that she was still there with him. Not leaving him at all.
"He's an idiot by the way." He commented quietly a few minutes later as they watched her favourite film "this is great." He told her in a mumble he, not looking at her. Grateful for darkness in the room so that she couldn't see the dark flush on his cheeks.
They grinned at each other and cuddled even closer on the couch . Forgetting that Trevor was even in the same apartment as them at all.
Then Trevor thinks back to the time when he had walked into another close scene of them, having become more accustomed to their closeness and weird moments together the longer that he dated her .
So He wasn't that surprised to find them in her bathroom Together , Quinn sat on a stool with Trevors girlfriend in front of him in just a tshirt, gold eye masks on her face as she held his face in her hands . Plucking his brows.
Trevor paused by the open door , sighing in exasperation as he looked at them. "What the hell are you two doing now?" He wondered. Getting their attention.
It was only Quinn that glanced at him, cheeks red as he sat still on the stool for her. Eyes warily eyeing Cherrie as she brought the tweezers closer to his eyes.
"Making him look pretty." Cherrie murmured in concentration . Tongue poking out between her teeth as she plucked some hairs , Quinn wincing like she had cut him.
Trevor laughed. Loudly . "You got magic baby?" He teased. Smirking at the unimpressed look Quinn immediately shot him.
"Fuck you! You're girlfriend thinks I'm pretty." Quinn shot back at him just as quick .
Trevor rolled his eyes "my girlfriend hugs wet dogs and thinks rats are cute. Her opinion can't be trusted." He said.
Cherrie shot him a glare over her shoulder at that, shaking her head at them. "And your girlfriend is right here. Shut up." She snapped at him before looking back down at Quinn.
Gently tilting his head to get a better angle , feeling the heat of his skin beneath her fingers . His eyes flittering around her face, counting her freckles now that she was so close . He let out a slow , shaky breath.
"Keep still Q." She murmured to him softly "they're gonna look so good." She promised him.
Quinn just sighed , letting her do whatever she wanted to him. If she told him she wanted to shave his head he would let her. He never could say no to her.
"Just- just don’t make them too thin alright?" He muttered instead. Wincing at the pinching pain as she plucked some more.
Trevor shook his head in disbelief at them , leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed over his chest as he watched them .
“I can't believe you're letting her do this." He said to Quinn honestly.
Quinn didn't even glance at him as he answered in a mutter . "why not? Have you seen her brows? They're perfect and she does them herself. No better person to do it." Meaning it.
She always helped him take care of his appearance the best that she could, knowing how lazy he got with it. It was thanks to Cherrie that his hair was in nice condition at all. She had been the one to go out and get him some fancy shampoo and conditioner , making him do hair masks with her when she did one.
She trimmed his nails when she did her own, even painted them when she was bored. She was the reason he now had a skin care routine .
Having enjoyed the way that she would take her time and softly rub the lotions and creams into his skin, carefully showing him how to do it .
Yet he always complained to her that it didn't feel the same when he did it, grinning smugly to himself when the night would turn into a mini spat night for him instead. With him lying lazily against her pillows as she did his skincare for him, her hands gently rubbing in oils and creams until he was halfway asleep on her bed.
He loved it. So what? She was making him feel good and look good at the same time. He wasn't going to say no to that. He wasn't that fragile in his own masculinity, thank god.
He Liked her doing his nails and his hair, liked her making him all soft and pretty. Simple because it made her happy and that made him happy In return.
Cherrie grinned down at him, pushing his cheeks together until his lips puckered as she cooed down at him . Flattered. "Awww! Thank you." She finished off his brows quickly. Nudging Him over to the mirror to take a look.
"Alright weirdos." Trevor took this time to slide in behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist as he tucked his face into her neck. Sighing happily as he gave her a firm squeeze.
"We still on for tonight baby?" He checked in with her lowly .
Kissing down her neck as he pulled her close to him making her sigh quietly. Eyes fluttering closed as his hand slid beneath her shirt to rub at her hips gently. Teasing her .
“Italian food and Netflix in bed?" He pulled away to wiggle his eye brows at her suggestively .
Turning her body around to face him , her back now to Quinn as he watched them through the mirror l with a scowl on his face . Blood burning and heart aching.
Quinn diverted his eyes as soon as he saw Trevors hand wander to her ass in the reflection , catching sight of the way he squeezed and slapped at it playfully , rocking her hips shamelessly into his as he kissed her. Not caring that he was there.
Cherrie was giggling against his lips, blushing a little at the attention . "Sure. Can't wait." She mumbled into the kiss, getting lost in the feeling of being kissed for a moment .
Moaning a little as she felt his hand slid between her legs teasingly , titling her head back with his free hand as he sucked at her neck, leaning his mark for Quinn to see .
"So good for me huh?" Trevor murmured smugly as he teased her, lifting his head to make eye contact with Quinn through the mirror.
The tension rising in two different ways as the older hockey player glared back at him hatefully , Trevor feeling smug for a moment that she was finally Paying him attention like she should have been.
"You two make me sick." Quinn snapped while turning around. Sick of seeing them. Sick of seeing Trevor hands on her soft skin , touching her in ways he could only dream of.
But most of all he hated that it was his fault for wasting his chance. Hating the way that it could have been him taking her back to her room, pinning her ahinst her bed as he fucked her loudly for everyone to hear.
But instead it was Trevor that got to do that now and Quinn had to suffer through the night , grinding his teeth as he laid in the spare bedroom to her own room.
Hearing her bed frame big off the wall over and over again . His eyes squeezed shut in both anger , jealousy and shame as he listened to her getting fucked by Trevor. Her moans Loud as she screamed his name , her crys and whimpers making him hard as he clenched his jaw. Blocking out Trevors grunts and his stupid voice calling her a slut and demanding her to tell him who fucked her this good.
And when she moaned 'you do.' Quinn pretended that it was him she was fucking. That it was him she was sucking off. That it was him she was cumming around that night .
He kept his eyes tightly closed , his heart pounding in his chest as he wrapped his fist around his rock hard cock and jacked himself off to the sound of her screams in the room next door. Rutting into his hand frantically as he clenched his teeth together painfully as he heard her scream , begging to be fucked harder .
Hating that it wasn't him , knowing that Trevor could never fuck her the way she wanted. The way only he could .
He came into his hand Wishing that it was him.
Then there was that moment in the bar when someone Thought that Quinn and Cherrie were together . Like he was just the extra friend .
He was Busy talking to Jack with a beer in his hand. Barely listening as his girlfriend chatted away to a girl she had made friends with in the toilets , all of them tipsy as she showed off the bracelet on her and Quinn's wrist to the girl proudly.
"I made them! Look.." she beamed while gently twisting his wrist closer to show her Quinn's bracelet.
"It’s supposed to bring him luck and good health. I put little crystals and gems on it too for protection since he's always getting his face busted in games." She rambled to her , leaning onto his side with a grin.
Quinn wrapped his arm around her shoulder, just sipping on his beer as he watched her fondly as she rambled on and on, having fun. Making friends.
He has always enjoyed watching her like this, it amazed him to see how magnetic she was, how easily she could make friends and talk to people like she has always known them. Making them feel special. It made him smile against his bottle as he watched the girl gush over their matching bracelets she had made them.
"Babe! Tell her- it worked didn't it? Like- he scored as soon as I gave it to him! The woman at the Crystal shop told me it would give him luck. I even put it out to charge under the moonlight for extra luck! Didn't I babe?" She nudged Quinn drunkenly , nodding for him to tell her.
Quinn chuckled , nodding along . Gently squeezing her shoulder with his hand . "She did and it did. It works good. No pucks to the face so far." He confirmed with a laugh. Ruffling her hair affectionately.
The girl cooed at them, just as drunk. Pressing her hands to her cheeks as she beamed at them. "Awww! You two are so cute together! Such a perfect match! How long have you been together?" She gushed obliviously . Assuming they were in love. They looked it.
That caught Trevors attention. Body freezing as his conversation with Jack paused , both of them glancing beside them to see Cherrie and Quinn blushing , Trevor laughing loudly as he smacked jacks arm, as it to say 'believe this?'
Jack just grimaced.
"Oh no!" Trevor shook his head quickly asserting himself into their group.
"she's my girlfriend! Not his. They're just friends!" He let her know. Pushing away the churning in his stomach . Shaking off his sudden unease .
The woman frowned at him. Then she looked between Quinn and Cherrie in surprise . "Wow really? I never would have guessed!" Was all she said before exchanging numbers with his girlfriend . The two giggling and promising to hang out , Cherrie grinning to herself as they wandered off the bar together to meet the rest of her friends she came with . Just Happy that she made a new friend.
It left Jack stood between a scowling Trevor and uncomfortable Quinn who was refusing to look at either of them. Just sipping on his beer quietly as he fiddled with the bracelet around his wrist .
"Jesus...that was awkward ." Jack muttered. Nervously looking between the two of them.
Trevor scoffed, glaring over at quinn who refused to look at him. Just pursing his lips and staying quiet.
"That was weird right?" Trevor tried to brush it off. "Like, why would she even think that?" He laughed weakly.
Quinn didn't answer . Leaving Jack to silently
shake his head in disappointment and disbelief , giving his older brother a disapproving look that he refused to see.
Sighing to himself, knowing that this was not going to end well.
Then Trevor thought back to all the times that Cherrie had cut a date short because of Quinn , some lame excuse . Just like the time that Quinn had called her halfway during their date night at a fancy restaurant.
Trevor had been enjoying himself , chatting away to her about how good his season had been recently. Just admiring how stunning she looked in the candlelight , dressed in a pretty dress with her hair and makeup done perfectly. Looking like a supermodel.
Only his mood quickly came crashing down when she got done with her quick phone call and gave him a small grimace , already pushing her plate away from her . Mind made up before he even knew what was happening .
She was calling over to waiter to make her soup to go, looking down at Trevor apologetically while he just gaped up at his girlfriend in disbelief.
"What the hell are you doing? Where are you going?" He rushed out , annoyed and embarrassed. Feeling eyes on them.
Everything had been going so good until Quinn called. It was always Quinn and Trevor was starting to hate it. He knew that they were friends but this was ridiculous .
They were on a date for fucks sake!
"Quinn's sick and his head is flaring up from the hit on the rink! We're gonna have to rain check." She tells him In a hurry.
Offering a smile to the waiter returning with her packed up soup that she planned to give to Quinn now. Hearing his throaty voice on the phone as coughed and sniffled , not sounding good at all.
She was already planning on stopping at the store to grab some painkillers and cough syrup, maybe some ice cream too. Going through their usual plan for when one of them was sick.
It didn't matter that she was in the middle of a date, all that mattered to her then was getting to his apartment to look after him. Knowing that he was alone and hating that he was while feeling like this too. They always looked after each other . That wasn't going to stop now .
Trevor wasn't letting it go so easily this time and before they knew it, they were arguing about it in the middle of the restaurant.
Glaring over at his girlfriend in disbelief "he's a big boy who can take care of himself ! I don't get why you have to be the one to look after him!" He snapped at her angrily .
Cherie glared straight back "because he's my best friend? That's why!" She shot back at him. Annoyed. Grabbing her bag.
Trevor scoffed humourlessly , crossing his arms over his chest as he watched her pull out her phone to tell Quinn that she was on her way.
He shook his Head bitterly . "are you serious? You might've well have had him on the fucking date with us. You've been texting him the whole night too! It's always Quinn this and Quinn that, while I'm right fucking here!" He almost shouted at her, frustrated and jealous that her attention was never 100% on him.
Cherrie just looked at him then , guilt on her face as she wrapped her arms around herself. Not knowing what to say.
She swallowed "I'm sorry Trevor. I don't know what to tell you. You know we're close-"
He had heard it all before. So he just waved off her excuses with a heavy sigh, rolling his eyes in defeat .
"Yeah I do. Whatever Cherrie." He muttered . Not looking at her.
There was an uncomfortable silence, Cherrie glancing over her shoulder , rocking on her feet. Wanting to leave to get to Quinn but the guilt keeping her standing there for a moment longer .
She winced and softened her voice "are we okay trev?" She asked him quietly. Guilty.
But they both knew where her loyalty lied and it wasn't with him. She wasn't going to stay . Not while her best friend was sick and alone and needing her.
Trevor looked at her, taking in her pretty face and stunning dress and sighed. Rubbing at his Face , he nodded his head. Shrugging as well.
"We're okay." He lied.
Then there was the wedding where it all
Came crashing down . Trevor has been stuck watching as Quinn walked Cherrie down the isle, best man and maid of honour . Cherrie looking as beautiful as ever, and her arm firmly hooked through his as they both grinned each other . Looking perfect together.
He barely soldiered through that but it got too much when he noticed how Quinn couldn't keep his eyes off his girlfriend . Gazing at her longingly as they stood at either side of the bride and groom , grinning at each other occasionally .
Quinn smiling softly to himself as he watched Cherrie get emotional as the vows were said, his eyes never leaving her pretty face the whole ceremony.
Sat miserably on the wooden benches beside Jack, Trevor glared at him . Chest feeling tight.
“You're brother has a staring problem man." He snapped quietly to him, visibly annoyed. Rose coloured glasses long gone .
Jack just sighed, also annoyed by now. Having been putting up with this for months . Wishing that it would just stop. And that they could all see sense . But it wasn't happening. And it was frustrating to sit back and watch, unable to do anything .
"You have a problem . He's not looked away from her since the moment they met Z. This isn't new." He said to him honestly .
Not getting it at all. It all seemed to simple and easy to him, he didn't understand why they were all even playing this game and hurting each other Like this. It made no sense to him. He thought they are all being incredibly stupid.
Then Jack watched Trevor sulk at the table with a glass of wine in his hand and sighed , having enough.
He sat beside him with a frown "come on dude, what are you doing?" He snapped at him. Sick of it.
Trevor frowned  at him, lips pursed. "At a wedding?" He tried playing dumb. But it wasn't working at all.
The sadness and headache was written all across his face after watching them the whole night together, seeing the way they so naturally fit by each other's side. She had even managed to drag him to the dance floor with her, hands around his neck and Quinn's low around her waist as they swayed together to the music . Smiling at eachother like nobody else existed.
They looked so happy . Trevor felt sick.
Then he watched as the bride finally threw the boutique of flowers behind her , and low and behold they landed straight into cherries hand.
As though fate was laughing at Him Cruelly , tears stinging his eyes as he watched his girlfriend glance straight over to Quinn , not him , as she caught them. Clutching them to her chest tightly as she giggled , flustered with all the girls cooing at her, nudging her and laughing along as she looked straight at quinn. Raising a brow at him in amusement . Showing him the flowers .
And Quinn was already looking back at her , of course he was , a shy smile on his face as he shook his head affectionately at her .
Opening his arms to pull her into his embrace , before plucking one of the smaller flowers from the bouquet and putting it behind her ear gently. Neither of them even glancing his way. Seeming to forget he was even there at all. Like they always did.
He sniffled sadly he felt Jack pat his shoulder sympathetically , muttering curses about his brother and how sorry he was . But he was glad that he knew now. That he was seeing what he was seeing finally. At a wedding of all places.
And Trevor could only groan and put his head in his hands, heart falling to pieces .
"Shit." He groaned sadly. Seeing the truth a little too late. Denial has been a nasty birch but it was over now.
He saw it all.
Trevor finally got the courage to corner Quinn later that night. Seeing him sitting by the edge of the dock after the reception , everybody else still inside getting plastered and having fun.
But the air was somber as Trevor slowly lowered himself to sit beside Quinn, startling the older player from his thoughts as he looked at him in surprise .
"Z-" he knew. He knew that he knew. Of course he did. How could he not? The guilt was written all across his face.
It had been a long time coming hadn’t it?
Trevor shook his head angrily, clenching his jaw as he tried to refrain from punching him straight in his face like he wanted to. That wouldn’t solve anything.
"Why did you let me date her if you're in love with her?" He's blunt with it. There was no other way to say it.
He Sick and tired of all the lame excuses  and long roads of denial. Of all the cowardliness and half bitten truths. It hurt too much now and he just wanted it to stop.
This was too much . It didn't feel so good anymore . Not when he knew for sure that he wasn't the right guy. His heart was sore and he fucking hated feeling like this. He couldn't believe that he had been so stupid and so naive to think that he could have been the one. Believing That she could ever had loved him like she did Quinn.
That was sick dreaming but now his eyes were wide open and his heart was breaking. Because he knew what everyone around him already did.
And it hurt. So fucking bad.
Quinn's eyes widened in shock, shame and guilt almost shutting him down and he stammered out nervously , heart pounding in his Chest.
"I am not! Z- come on- I don't-" he can't even finish his lie. Tongue tied as he tried to deny the truth but he just couldn't anymore  , the dark, ashamed flush on his face easily giving him away.
It was hurting him too. So fucking much. Because love had never been easy and it was finally knocking at their door, begging to be let free.
The truth hurt. It always did.
But Trevor just shook his head , face going blank .
"I asked you if you were okay with it and you  said yes. I never stole her from you."He muttered angrily .
Eyes Staring blandly out at the lake , not wanting to look at him anymore as his heart was finally shattered apart , as the truth came crumbling down around them. Cutting the both of them open, but only one of them was getting out of this unscathed and with the light.
Quinn swallowed guilty , lower lip trembling as he followed his gaze out to the water surrounding them.
His heart dropping to his stomach, knowing that he really did know now because Trevor wasn't stupid. He liked to act like he didn't know what was going on but he did.
But sometimes it was easy to ignore the signs and to brush away the unease and suspicions when love was on the line .
Because Trevor had wanted Cherrie so fucking bad that he had been willing to overlook the truth, to ignore that she wasn't in love with him . That he wasn't the one she searched for in every crowded room.
He wasn't the one . Would never be.
He had wished so badly to be, had done everything he could to get her to return his love but it just hadn't worked.
Because she was never his to begin with .
"She...but she said yes to you." He mumbled  out quietly , swallowing anxiously as he fiddled with her bracelet around his wrist that he had yet to take off  .
The lump in his throat only growing bigger as Trevor laughed sadly, shaking his head bitterly at him .
"yeah she did. 'cause you  didn't say no. I was the other option. The other guy . I was so fucking stupid.." he laughed humourlessly , wanting to slap himself for being so foolish with naive hope that it really could have been him.
Quinn went silent . Not knowing what to say. What could be said that he didn't already know?
Quinn was in love with Trevors girlfriend and had been long before he had even met her. And deep down. Trevor had always known that it was true.
He had seen the looks, the touches and the obvious love between them but he has still pursued her. Because she was beautiful Cherrie and he was just a man who fell in love.
He laughed in disbelief while rubbing a hand over his face in both anger and sadness . Because this was it .
“I can't believe that I've been so stupid to think that it would stop , and that you would two would get over each other , and that she would be happy with me!" The tears filled his eyes . Sniffling to himself as the pressure mounted his chest . Heartbroken.
“She is happy with you-"Quinn croaked guiltily . Watching him from the corner of his eye as he harshly wiped the tears from his face , snapping his head over to glare at him. Done with the lies.
He cut him off angrily. "No. She's happy when you're there with us! I've been third wheeling my own relationship trying to convince myself that everyone else was wrong. That I could be the one! Like that was ever an option!"
Quinn looked back at him then, and frowned defensively. "What? You wanted her to ditch me for you? Relationship or not . That was never going to happen. We're best friends-" he started to argue back because the guilt was killing him and he hated the way it was making him feel.
He didn't want to be the bad guy in Trevors story but some things just couldn't be helped. It was too late now. Trevor was the other guy and he was only finding that out now, and it hurt. Of course it did. This was what Jack had tried to warn him about from the start.
He laughed or maybe it was a cry  , he really couldn't tell anymore . His heart was fucking breaking and he had never felt so stupid in his life.
"Oh come on! cut the shit Quinn! Stop fucking lying to me and to yourselves . You're not just 'friends'. Friends don't look at each other the way you do . At the wedding-" he took a deep breath to push down his anger , his sadness quickly taking over for him instead. Pushing him on.
"You looked at her like you were imagining her walking down that isle to you. And when she caught those flowers- you smiled. So fucking hard man! That was the moment I knew. It’s never going to be me is it?" He realised out loud. Looking straight at him.
The truth cut deep. But the knife went both ways.
Quinn blinked back  the tears from his eyes, guilt clouding his face horribly. Feeling like complete and utter shit as he saw the hurt written across his face.
"Z-" he started say but his voice cracks with pain ,  feeling horrible for what he had done . The hurt they had both caused him without even realising  it.
He laughed humourlessly  , shaking his head as he wiped his nose with his sleeve. "No! No. Don't try to sugar coat it or make me feel better! Cause that's not going to work. I just want the truth! Tell me the truth Quinn!" He shouted at him. Tired now.
There was a long , tense pause where they both just looked back out at the lake again , hearts aching.
Quinn swallowing as he looked down at the bracelet on his wrist, gently caressing her initials  on the small stone beside his .
"Are you in love with her?" Trevor asked him quietly . Already knowing the truth. But he wanted to hear it. Wanted some sort of attempted closure. Wanted to know that he wasn't insane. That he was right. That everybody else was right.
Quinn sighed shakily, cupping his mouth with his trembling hand as he tried not to cry.
"do I really need to answer that?" He breathed out quietly, voice barely a whisper  . Eyes blurry from the tears. Unable to look at him from the guilt he felt.
Trevor sighed long and hard .
"yeah. You do Quinn. It's the least that  you owe  me. The respect to look me in my eye and tell me the truth." He told him seriously. Meaning it.
Quinn turned  to him finally and his face read everything that he needed to know.
Despite knowing the truth , Trevors face crumbled anyways. A small part of him hoping that it wasn't true. That he was crazy. That she could be his.
But it was never going to be him.
"I'm sorry man." He pleads for him to understand "it's not my fault alright? I just-I tried not to be. I tried to ignore the feelings and push it away but-" he placed his head in his hands, feeling terrible. Shaking his head in frustration at himself .
"I can't. I've loved her since she opened her big mouth and called me a stupid idiot when we first met. And I've loved her everyday since. And I'm sorry. I really am. I'm sorry for hurting you but I'm not sorry for loving her. I can't be." He whispered brokenly .
Trevor doesn't say anything for a while. Just Shaking his head slowly in both resignation and disbelief. Unable to believe that he had let himself lie to himself  for this long.
And All because he loved a girl.
Now look at him. Heartbroken and crying. So fucking sad. It was pathetic .
He was letting kind of wanting to kill Quinn. Kind of wanted to push him into the lake. Kind of wanted to pretend that none of this had ever happened just so he could get to kiss Cherrie goodbye one more time.
It just hurt. This whole thing had splintered him in half , he never knew that love could be so cruel.
"and she loves you too?" He sniffled.
She never said it back to him. No matter how many times he told her that he loved her. He really should have known.
Quinn swallowed thickly  , guilt keeping his eyes down to his feet in shame . "I think so. I don't know.."
"Yes you do!” He muttered in annoyance while rolling his eyes ,  scrubbing at his face roughly with his hands . Heart shattered on the ground by Quinn's and his  feet .
So He slowly pushed himself up from the ground and took one last look out at the calm waters around them.
Then looked back down to the tearful hockey player below him and nods his head to himself , accepting  what was meant to be.
"You know she does. I know she does. Don't waste it man. I wish I was you. She's a forever kind of girl isn't she? " he lets his truthful  words linger for a long moment  "just not for me. Not my forever.”
"Z-" he calls up to  him quietly , face confused , eyes wide as he looked at him.
“are you-why aren't you punching me?" He wanted to know. Having expected it. Or worse.
Trevor just cracks a sad smile and shrugs his shoulders . Tucking his trembling fingers into his pockets instead .
"what's the point?" He says honestly,  exhausted .
“I can't change how you guys feel. I'll just have to change my feelings instead . She's really easy  to fall in love with huh? Go tell her man. Don't be as stupid as I was." He advises him, not longer having anything left to say.
Not risking staying around any longer , not wanting to actually give into the urge to hit him. That wouldn’t solve his broken heart .
So he simply left. Never looking back.
Then six months later he's watching them kiss underneath the New Years fireworks. Tears of happiness in both of their eyes as they held onto each other tightly , everybody cheering loudly around them .
Quinn laughing tearfully as he held her face in his trembling hands. Telling her he loved her over and over again while she cried . Laughing along with him, the diamond ring glinting underneath the sparkling lights , proudly slid onto her finger as people congratulated them. Both of them lost in their own world together. not much had changed there  .
They didn't see anybody else but each other .
Trevor downed jacks champagne glass for him and laughed a little to himself , watching in silent defeat as Cherrie looked over her shoulder with a grin worth a thousand goodbyes and hellos on her ruby  lips .
He watched as her smile softened as she met his gaze , then as she gave him a small wave , Quinn to busy crying happy tears into her neck as Luke Wrapped his arms around the both of them . Shouting his congratulations and telling everybody that this has been a long time coming.
He couldn’t have been any closer to the truth if he tried.
Trevor’s face softened too and instead of causing a scene , he just winked at her . "Nice ring." He mouthed over to her , smirking a little. Heart still aching but she looked so fucking happy and he knew that she would look just as pretty in white.
She laughed. Then shrugged gently back at him, the apology in her eyes clear before Quinn was pulling her down for another kiss. Lost in her. As always .
And Trevor understood what that felt like . He didn't feel any anger then. Just an ache . A lingering feeling of 'what if?' And what could have been. That he knew would forever follow him around.
But they were happy. He couldn't , wouldn't, ruin that. He didn't want to.
Because he knew deep down that he could never have made her as happy as Quinn did. It was just the truth.
Jack was patting his shoulder gently . Happy for his older brother but also feeling sorry that his friend had gotten his heart teared in the process , caught between all the love and mess that love created.
But here they were. And time was moving on. They all were. Older but never wiser .
"What happened man?" Jamie was his clearly
gobsmacked.. way out of the loop as he gaped at Cherrie and Quinn kissing shamelessly in front of everyone , never letting each other go .
Having watched the eldest brother get down on one knee and cry his love for her in front of all their friends and family . It was safe to say that He was a little more than shocked.
Looking over at Trevor In disbelief , wondering what the hell he has missed. And how he could be there and not sobbing on the floor in grief.
Trevor just laughed quietly and shrugged his shoulders. Sighing long and hard Bedford he simply told him
“long story short I was the wrong guy."
But she has found him now. And she didn’t have to look very far because he was right there all along. Waiting for her to see him. And now that she did, she was all about him now.
And Trevor was just another star in her sky, while Quinn was her entire universe.
And long story short …he would survive.

The first moment that Trevor locked eyes with you, he knew he didn't like you.
You never understood why. You couldn't help but wonder what had caused such an immediate dislike. Was it something about your appearance, your demeanor, or just a gut feeling he couldn't shake? Whatever it was, it hung between you two like an invisible barrier, making the atmosphere uncomfortable whenever you two were in the room and it was even harder because you shared a best friend.
You walked into the familiar home of your close friend, Alex and tried to find him. You had left your airpods there a few nights ago and this was the only time you knew he'd be home.
Well, apparently you were wrong because he wasn't anywhere to be found even though his car was clearly in the driveway.
"Alex? Are you here?" You quietly called out, there was no response, so you ventured further into the house, your footsteps echoing in the silence.
Determined to find both your airpods and an explanation for the eerie quiet, you walked further into the house. Each step echoed through the hallway as you walked.
As you turned in the hallway, you let out a loud yelp when you bumped into someone. Someone who clearly wasn't Alex.
"Jesus!" You jumped in fright and calmed down for a second once you recognized the face. "Trevor? What are you doing here?”
Trevor's expression remained as annoyed as ever, though there was a flicker of surprise in his eyes as well. "I could ask you the same thing," Trevor replied, his voice cool and measured. His arms were crossed, and he leaned casually against the hallway wall, as if he had every right to be here.
You tried to stay calm even though his arrogance, as usual, was pissing you off. "I came to pick up my airpods because I left them here a few nights ago, and Alex said he'd be home today."
Trevor rolled his eyes in annoyance as he leaned off the wall and walked closer to you. "Well he isn't here, is he?"
You wanted to slap that stupid know-it-all expression right off his face as he walked past you. You turned around and scoffed, "And why are you here?"
He turned around and looked you directly in the eye. "I'm staying with Alex for a bit." He said simply as he examined your annoyed expression. "What? You have a problem with that, princess?" The nickname rolled off his tongue and you felt your body heat up with anger.
Trevor's use of the nickname "princess" sent a surge of anger coursing through you. You could feel your face flush, and your fists involuntarily clenched at your sides. He knew exactly which buttons to push, and it was infuriating.
"Don't call me that," you snapped, your voice tinged with irritation. "And yes, Trevor, I do have a problem with it. You've made it pretty clear you don't like me, and I sure as hell don't like you either. This is supposed to be Alex's place, and now I have to deal with you too? Just great."
Trevor's smirk seemed to grow wider, as if your anger was exactly what he wanted. "Well, princess," he taunted, emphasizing the nickname, "I don’t care about how you feel about me staying here so… I don’t know what to tell you.”
With that, you turned on your heel and stormed out of the house, leaving Trevor and your airpods behind. Your heart was still pounding with anger as you made your way down the driveway.
──
"I don't know why he hates me, Alex." You complained through the phone as you got ready for a party. It was Friday night you wanted to get absolutely wrecked after the week you've had.
"He doesn't hate you, Y/N-"
He was cut off by a scoff as you put on your makeup. "Are you seriously trying to say that he likes me?"
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Alex let out a reluctant sigh. "Okay, maybe 'like' is a strong word, but I don't think he hates you either. He's just... Trevor, you know?"
You rolled your eyes at the mention of Trevor's name. "Yeah, 'just Trevor' is the problem. Every time we're in the same room, it's like he's actively looking for reasons to annoy me."
"That's just Trevor, though." Alex tried to reassure you but he was plain wrong. The Trevor that everyone else knew was funny and sweet, and what do you get? An absolute fucking asshole whose sole purpose to annoy the hell out of you.
Alex's attempt at reassurance didn't help at all, you couldn't help but let out a frustrated sigh. "I don't know, Alex. It's just hard to believe it's just Trevor when he acts different when I'm not around, you know?"
You could hear the sympathy in Alex's voice as he responded, "I get it, Y/N. But maybe there's more to it than meets the eye. Sometimes people have their reasons for acting a certain way."
He sounded like a dad lecturing their kid as you let out another sigh. But you had to admit there was some truth to it, though.
"Look," Alex continued, "I'll talk to him, okay? Maybe he doesn't even realize how much he's getting under your skin. And besides, it's Friday night. Let's focus on having a good time at the party and worry about Trevor another day, alright?"
You couldn't help but smile at Alex's support. "Yeah, I guess you're right Alex. Fine, I won't think about him anymore but I'll see you at the party."
With renewed semi-determination to enjoy the evening, you said your goodbyes and finished getting ready for the party, hoping that this night out would provide the much-needed break you deserved.
──
The loud music of the party made your head buzz but it was exactly what you needed after the week you've had. The loud atmosphere, with people dancing and laughing, created a welcome distraction from your problems.
You grabbed a drink and joined your friends who were currently sitting outside, enjoying the warm summer weather. As you settled into a chair, you felt a sense of relief wash over you. The cool breeze and the sounds of laughter around you were a soothing contrast to the intensity of the party inside.
"You good, Y/N?" You heard your friend laugh next to you as a smile engulfed your face. The alcohol was already working as you let out a giggle and a nod.
And just as you finally got the buzz, it quickly faded as you heard his voice behind you.
"Yeah, you good, Y/N?" The mocking tone in the voice was unmistakable as you turned to see Trevor taking a seat across from you. Alex followed closely, sitting down next to Trevor.
"Hey, Y/N." Alex gave you a soft smile but his eyes were pleading with you to not start anything now.
"Yeah, I'm good," you replied, your voice carrying a tinge of annoyance. You then turned your attention to Alex, who offered a soft smile but communicated his silent plea for you to avoid riling Trevor up.
Trevor, seemingly unable to resist provoking you, leaned in closer. "So, Y/N, having a good time? Or is the buzz from all that alcohol making you forget how much you can't stand me?"
You clenched your jaw, your patience wearing thin. "Oh I haven't forgotten, trust me. Trevor, can't you just for once not be a complete dick?"
He chuckled, clearly enjoying the rise he was getting out of you. "Oh, come on, Y/N, where's your sense of humor? It's just a party."
That last line really made your anger flare up even more. The irritation in your voice apparent as you retorted, "You know, Trevor, you seem to have a real talent for ruining a good time."
Trevor smirked, seemingly unfazed by your comment. "Oh, really? I thought I was just making it more interesting."
Your friends were exchanging glances before Alex shifted uncomfortably in his seat, sensing the growing tension. He tried to intervene, "Come on, guys, let's not—"
But you weren't in the mood to back down. "Interesting, huh? More like insufferable."
Trevor leaned in, his tone mocking. "Is that so? You don't have to stick around if you can't handle it, princess."
The nickname made your temper grow, as you shot back, "I can handle it just fine, and you can't tell me what to do, I'll stick around if I want, Trevor."
Trevor's smirk remained firmly in place as he replied, "Well, well, someone's got some fight in them tonight."
Alex, growing concerned about the direction of the conversation, spoke up again, his voice pleading, "Come on, guys, can we please just have a good time tonight? This isn't the place for this."
But your anger at Trevor's provocation was hard to contain, and you answered, "Maybe Trevor should learn to behave himself."
Trevor, not one to let a challenge go unanswered, leaned in closer and said, "Or maybe you should learn to take a joke, princess-"
The word "princess" coming from Trevor's lips felt like a taunt you couldn't let slide. "Don't call me that!"
Alex, sensing the situation escalating, pleaded once more, "Hey, Y/N let's go get some drinks and relax, okay?"
But Trevor wasn't backing down, his smirk darkening. "Oh, of course Alex would step in now. You gonna go get some drinks with your boyfriend, huh?"
His accusation left you stunned as you blinked back at him, but then it clicked in your mind. Trevor's animosity seemed to be fueled by jealousy, and you couldn't help but laugh in disbelief. Trevor's face twisted with annoyance at your reaction.
"Oh! I get it now," you exclaimed, a hint of amusement in your voice. "You're jealous of me!"
Trevor's annoyance only seemed to intensify, but he maintained his stubborn stance. "You wish, princess."
Your realization had struck a nerve, and you decided to tease him further. "You think I'm gonna steal Alex from you, isn't that right, Trevor?"
Trevor's face contorted with a mix of irritation and embarrassment as your words hit home. It seemed like you had touched a nerve that he hadn't expected.
"Don't be ridiculous," he snapped, his tone laced with irritation. "I'm not jealous, and you're definitely not stealing Alex from anyone."
You couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, thoroughly enjoying the fact that you had gotten under his skin for once. "Oh, come on, Trevor," you teased, leaning in a little closer to him. "You don't need to be jealous. There's enough of Alex to go around for both of us."
Trevor's irritation deepened, and he leaned in closer, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, how sweet of you, Y/N. You're absolutely right; I'm sure Alex is just thrilled to have both of us fighting for his attention."
Your teasing had clearly struck a nerve, and you couldn't resist pushing the envelope a bit further. "Well, you know what they say, Trevor, 'Two's company, three's a party.'"
Trevor's face turned a deeper shade of red, and his fists clenched involuntarily. He struggled to find a retort as he seethed with frustration. "I couldn't care less about your little friendship with Alex. You're not even on my radar."
Your playful smile didn't waver as you pressed on, pushing his buttons even further. "Oh, Trevor, it's cute how you're trying so hard to convince us of that. But we all know actions speak louder than words."
Alex, sensing that Trevor was on the brink of losing his temper, interjected urgently, "Guys, seriously, let's drop it."
But it was too late. Trevor had reached his breaking point. He slammed his hand on the table, making the glasses rattle, and his voice rose to a furious level.
"Is it impossible for you to shut the fuck up, Y/N? I've had enough of your mind games and your twisted need to be the center of attention," he seethed, his eyes burning with anger.
He got up from the couch and walked to face you, his eyes burning into yours. "I couldn't care less about your friendship with Alex or anything else about you. Just do us all a favor and stay the fuck out of my way."
As Trevor walked away, he made sure to deliver a sharp shoulder bump, leaving you standing there, feeling a mix of shock and anger. The tension between you and Trevor had reached a boiling point, and it was clear that this confrontation had taken a toll on your already strained relationship.
──
A few weeks had passed since the night at the party, and you and Trevor's interactions had become less confrontational, bordering on civil. One night, you found yourself alone in Alex's house. He had gone out for the night, leaving you and Trevor in an awkward, but not entirely unfamiliar, situation. You spend most if not all your time in his house, even if you did have your own. You just always liked his more than yours, even if Trevor had decided to start living there as well. The home was eerily quiet, except for the soft hum of the city outside.
Trevor had been in the living room, watching TV while you were in the kitchen, going through the contents of the fridge trying to find a snack. You had been trying to avoid him, but the small space between the kitchen and living room made it impossible to do so that long.
As you reached for a container of leftovers, Trevor's voice suddenly cut through the silence. "Y/N, can you pass me the remote?"
You sighed inwardly, feeling a wave of frustration wash over you. Suppressing your irritation, you handed him the remote and muttered, "Here."
But as Trevor took the remote from your hand, his fingers brushed against yours, sending a jolt of unexpected electricity through you. You both froze, locked in an moment of eye contact.
Trevor suddenly broke the eye contact and your face felt hot. You wanted to slap yourself, there was no way a two second hand-brush made you feel this way. What was wrong with you? Were you ovulating?
Trevor's voice broke the silence, low and intense. "You know, Y/N, you can be stupidly frustrating."
Your inner thoughts were interrupted by Trevor's comment, and his words only served to amplify the tension in the room. You could feel your heart pounding, and a mix of irritation and desire swirled within you.
You also couldn't get any words out and you felt even more stupid. Trevor noticed your silence and moved his gaze back to you, a smug expression etching his face. It was as if he had achieved a small victory, and he couldn't resist the opportunity to revel in it.
A sly grin tugged at the corner of his lips, and he leaned in slightly closer, his eyes dancing with a mix of amusement and desire. "Cat got your tongue, Y/N?" he teased, his voice dripping with cocky self-assurance.
Your cheeks burned with a mixture of embarrassment and frustration, and you cursed yourself for letting him get the upper hand. Trevor had a weird ability to push your buttons, and in this moment, he had successfully left you flustered and at a loss for words.
You scoffed, finally getting out of the trance he somehow got you in. "N-no, I just couldn't think of... anything worth saying."
Trevor's cocky grin only widened at your stammered response. He leaned in even closer, his breath tickling your ear as he continued to revel in his perceived victory.
"Nothing worth saying, huh?" he replied, his voice dripping with smug satisfaction. "Well, Y/N, maybe you'll come up with something better next time."
His words made you roll your eyes as you gritted your teeth, determined not to let Trevor's cocky attitude get the best of you. You felt yourself getting even angrier as you stared at Trevor but you couldn't come up with anything to say, he has the upperhand and he knew it. You wanted to slap yourself again, you were acting dumb.
The front door had opened suddenly and you let out a relieved sigh when you heard Alex's voice ring through the apartment. The sound of Alex's voice was like a lifeline, breaking the tension that had gripped the room between you and Trevor.
"Hey, guys, I brought WingStop... Did I interrupt something?" Alex looked slightly concerned as he looked at you two.
Relieved to have a reason to shift your focus, you gave Alex a grateful smile and replied, "You didn't interrupt anything important, just the usual Trevor bullshit."
Trevor, who had been reveling in his victory moments ago, now seemed to deflate slightly at the mention of his antics being dismissed as "bullshit." He decided to play it cool, though, adding, "Yeah, bullshit."
Alex seemed to buy the explanation, though there was a hint of skepticism in his expression. "Alright, if you say so," he replied, setting the bags of WingStop on the table. "Let's eat, I'm starving. Then maybe we can watch a movie or something."
You fixed your posture as Trevor walked up from the couch, a smirk still evident on his face as he walked to the table.
"Actually guys, I have stuff to do tomorrow morning." You grabbed your purse from the couch, you didn't wanna be around Trevor right now after what the hell happened earlier. You needed to sort out a lot of stuff in your mind.
"Like what?" Alex sat down in the table, immediately taking out the wings and beginning to eat. "Are you... okay?"
"Yup, just tired."
Trevor's smirk seemed to widen, and you could practically feel his satisfaction. It was clear that he had achieved some victory in the earlier situation, and now he had the upper hand.
Alex, who had been happily digging into the wings, looked up with a curious expression as you grabbed your purse. "Y/N, are you sure you're okay?"
You managed a small smile and a nod, though you couldn't meet his eyes. "Yeah, just got some things to take care of. You guys enjoy the wings and the movie. I'll see you guys whenever."
With that, you hurried out of Alex's apartment, leaving behind the now weird tension between you and Trevor. As you made your way down the hallway, you couldn't help but replay the intense moment with Trevor in your mind, the mix of attraction and irritation still simmering within you.
"What'd you do, Z?" Alex gave him a glare before Trevor raised his arms up in defense.
"Nothing, I swear," he insisted, though his tone was tinged with amusement. "This time, it was all her."
Alex's glare deepened, clearly not entirely convinced by Trevor's explanation. He was well aware of the dynamics between you and Trevor and knew that things could easily escalate between the two of you.
"What do you mean, 'it was all her'?" Alex prodded further, determined to get to the bottom of the situation.
Trevor leaned back in his chair, his expression growing more relaxed. "Well, let's just say she couldn't handle a little teasing, and things got... interesting."
Alex's skepticism was replaced with a amused expression, and he couldn't help but chuckle. "What the hell do you mean, interesting? You and your teasing, Trevor. You're like a walking powder keg."
Trevor grinned, seemingly pleased with Alex's reaction. "What can I say? It keeps life entertaining for us.”
──
A few days had passed since the weird encounter between you and Trevor at Alex's apartment. The memory of that night still lingered in your mind, and you couldn't help but feel hot when you thought about it. The tension between you and Trevor remained unresolved.
One evening, Alex decided to host a small party with a few friends at his house. It was meant to be a relaxed evening of drinks and conversation, a chance to unwind and catch up. As you arrived at Alex's house, you were greeted by familiar faces and warm smiles.
You got up from your spot on the couch and entered the kitchen to get a drink. Thankfully, Trevor was still at practice so you hadn't ran into him yet. As you reached for the beer that inside the fridge, you heard Alex's voice from behind you.
"You sure you wanna be drinking tonight? You have a ride?" Alex's concerned voice made you smile and you got the beer while closing the fridge.
"Yeah, why not? I could always Uber if all of you guys are going to be drinking." Truth be told, this week wasn't exactly your week. After that whole encounter with Trevor, it had all just went downhill. You needed this, you needed a night where you could just forget about everything. And Alex's get-together did exactly that.
Alex eyed you suspiciously. "What happened with Trevor Monday night?"
You shifted uncomfortably under his gaze. "Nothing, promise."
"Did you guys kiss or something-"
"No!" You said, almost a little too loudly. A smirk grew on Alex's mouth as you repeated a little quieter, "No, what makes you say that?"
"I don't know, there was just a different kinda tension when I came into the apartment then." He smirked at you as you rolled your eyes, despite the warm blush coming onto your cheeks.
"Shut up,"
Before Alex could continue, Trevor entered the kitchen, his exhaustion evident in his posture. You hadn't even realized he was back home; his arrival had been drowned out by the sounds in the apartment.
He walked right up to and cleared his throat. "Excuse me, you're blocking the fridge."
You bit your tongue at his lack of manners and moved away, Trevor opening the fridge as he grabbed a water. Alex gestured to the living room and you nodded, deciding to leave the kitchen to go hang out with the rest of your friends.
As Trevor walked out to the group a few minutes after you two, you could sense his irritation with the number of people in the apartment. He muttered something to Alex about the crowded space, and you couldn't help but overhear. Trevor's annoyance was evident in his voice as he complained, "There are way too many people here, man. It's like a sardine can."
"Well I told you I was gonna be havin' a few people here tonight, Z." Alex responded calmly but irritation was clear in his face.
"This is way more than a just a few people, dude. How am I supposed to relax after the shittiest practice with a bunch of people here?"
Alex looked annoyed and he just ignored Trevor, looking back at you. But you decided to speak up, not willing to let Trevor's negativity ruin the night. "Trevor, this is Alex's place, and he's doing you a favor by letting you stay here. You can't expect him to control who comes over. It's not just your apartment."
Trevor's irritation flared as he turned to you, his voice laced with frustration. "Oh, of course, the princess coming to Alex's defense. Always looking out for Alex, aren't you?"
“I'm just trying to keep the peace, Trevor. It's not about taking sides. We're all here to have a good time and you're kind of ruining it."
Trevor was glaring daggers at you, his gaze filled animosity as he looked between you and Alex.
The tension in the room was palpable, and your friends were growing increasingly uncomfortable with the heated exchange. Alex tried to intervene, saying, "Okay, let's not ruin the night with this. Trevor, relax. Y/N, thanks for looking out for me, but it's all good."
But Trevor's anger hadn't simmered down. Instead, he seemed to become more agitated, muttering something under his breath that you couldn't quite catch as he huffed and walked off to his room.
With Trevor's mood affecting the atmosphere of the party, you felt the need to step outside for some fresh air. You just couldn't comprehend Trevor. One moment, he was finally okay with you then he wanted to be an absolute dick. It always bothered you, why did he have to be such an asshole?
You were soon joined by Alex, who had sensed your discomfort and followed you outside. Alex leaned against the poll, gazing out into the night, and you stood beside him. He sighed, and you could tell he was trying to defuse this whole situation.
"Sorry about that," he said, his voice filled with concern. "Trevor's just been having a rough time lately. Practice has been pretty shitty, and it's taking a toll on him. I know he can be a pain, but he's going through a lot right now. I mean, he's worked all his life for hockey and sometimes it just doesn't give the same energy back, you know?"
As you listened to Alex as he opened up about Trevor's struggles with his hockey career, you were suddenly hit with guilty about blowing up on him. The weight of your argument with Trevor and the realization of the pressures he was under made you feel bad for earlier. Alex's words had painted a different picture of Trevor's situation, one that you hadn't fully grasped. You knew that being a pro-hockey player was demanding, and setbacks could be demoralizing.
"I didn't realize he was going through all of this," you admitted, a sense of regret in your voice. "I feel bad for being a bitch now. I should've been more understanding." You sighed. You may hate Trevor but you never wanted to add his stress, knowing how hard it is when something you put so much energy in, doesn't feel so rewarding in the end.
Alex gave you a reassuring pat on the back. "Hey, don't blame yourself, Y/N. He was being an ass first and uh... thank you for defending me. I appreciate it."
You smiled at Alex's words, appreciating his understanding and grateful that he didn't hold your heated defense against Trevor against you. As you looked at him, those words felt like they had a deeper meaning than he was letting on. "Thanks, Alex. You're a true friend, ya know that?”
As you and Alex walked back to the living room, you noticed that some of the people were already in the process of saying their goodbyes and putting on their jackets. It seemed that the argument between you, Trevor, and the general tension in the room had prompted an early night for some of your friends.
"We're gonna call it a night, guys." Your friend smiled politely. "Trevor should get some sleep."
Before you could protest, Alex gave them a quick goodbye. "Yeah, they're right. He needs time to relax."
With that, they made their way to the door, leaving you, Alex, and Trevor in the home. The atmosphere in the room had shifted, and the tension from earlier still lingered. It was clear that the night hadn't gone as planned, and you couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
You felt guilty about the entire thing, and the weight of your words hung heavy in your mind, replaying that moment. If only you had kept your mouth shut, none of this would have happened. The ongoing tension between you and Trevor had been a rollercoaster of emotions, and sometimes, you wished you wouldn't be so impulsive.
You couldn't help but wonder if you were too quick to react, too willing to engage in these heated exchanges with Trevor. The realization that your words might have pushed him away further gnawed at your thoughts.
You were torn between wanting to apologize and your ego. Nevertheless, as you stood in the living room, your conscience pushed you to take responsibility for your actions.
You glanced at Alex, who was busy cleaning up the remnants of the party. He seemed to be trying to maintain a positive attitude (per usual) despite the earlier disagreement. It was then that you decided you needed to make amends.
Quietly, you excused yourself from the living room and headed down the hallway to Trevor's bedroom. You felt determined as you knocked softly on the door, waiting for his response.
"Alex?" You heard Trevor's voice from behind the door. "It's fine dude, I forgive you. But ya owe me a beer next time we go out."
"Trevor? It's actually me."
There was silence for a couple seconds before you heard the bedroom unlock; and there he was, with all his glory. He was shirtless, his hair was wet and it was obvious he had just come out of the shower. The only thing he had were those slutty sweatpants, god damnit.
You couldn't help but stare a little longer at his body before finally maintaining your composure. You couldn't deny, he looked good shirtless. You squeezed your thighs together as you maintained eye-contact with him, trying to keep your composure.
"What?" Trevor's voice sounded annoyed, per usual.
You found yourself lost in a trance again, your words momentarily escaping you as you tried to gather your thoughts and confront his anger. What was up with you and not knowing how to deal with hot men?
With Trevor's anger emanating off him in waves, you forced yourself to snap out of your momentary daze. "I'm sorry," you began, your voice quiet but sincere. "I didn't mean for things to get involved like that. I know practice has been rough for you, and I shouldn't have added to your stress. It's just... I hate seeing you so worked up."
Trevor's expression remained stony, and his arms were crossed, a clear sign of his lingering irritation. "Well, you certainly didn't help."
You sighed, knowing you had to take responsibility for your part in the argument. "You're right, I shouldn't have let things escalate. But you have to understand, I was just trying to help Alex."
The anger in Trevor's eyes didn't dissipate, but there was a hint of maybe something else. "Help him with what?" He scoffed as he walked into his room, sighing angrily as you followed, your patience running out.
With a deep breath, you decided be honest with Trevor. "He told me about your struggles at practice. About how it's been hard on you. I didn't mean to throw fuel in the fire but I was just worried about both of you. I may not... like you but I don't wanna push you while you're down, y'know?"
Trevor's jaw tightened, his annoyance evident. "So, you're just meddling in my business now? Trying to be the savior?"
That was his response? Now you really wished you had gone with your ego. Your frustration flared, and you shot back, "I'm not trying to be anyone's savior. I just wanted to help, I hate seeing you two fight, and I wanted to defuse the situation. I thought I was doing the right thing."
Trevor ran a hand through his wet hair, seemingly torn between anger and something else. "Well, you didn't, Y/N. You made things worse."
In response to Trevor's accusation, your own anger flared up. "I'm trying to help, Trevor. I don't need you to be a dick about it."
Trevor's voice seethed with frustration as he fired back, "Maybe you shouldn't, Y/N! I didn't ask for your help, and I sure as fuck don't need it. You're always butting in where you don't belong."
Your anger flared, and you shot back with equal intensity, "Oh, I'm 'butting in'? You're so damn proud, Trevor, you can't accept help from anyone! You act like you're above everyone, like you're untouchable."
Trevor's eyes blazed with fury as he retorted, "You think you're so perfect, always trying to fix everything. Well, you can't fix everyone, Y/N."
"I wasn't trying to fucking fix you, Trevor, who do you think I am?!" You shouted back, anger evident in your voice and expression. You couldn't even comprehend his point of view.
Trevor's eyes blazed with anger as he took a step closer, close enough you could feel his warm and minty breath on your forehead as you looked up at him. "You think you know everything, don't you? Always playing the peacemaker, always trying to fix everything. Well, guess what, Y/N? Some things can't be fixed."
The room felt like it was on the brink of a hurricane, the air charged with anger and resentment. Trevor's chest heaved with frustration, his intense gaze locked onto yours. In a low and seething voice, he muttered, "This is pointless."
You clenched your jaw, mirroring his anger as you responded, "Fine, it is."
You both stared at each other, breathlessly. It almost felt intimidate as you gazed into each other's eyes and you could see Trevor's expression relax.
"Why are you always defending Alex?" His voice was still angry but it sounded slightly hurt, underlying... jealousy? You were confused, what did he mean by that?
Your anger had subsided, and you met Trevor's question with genuine confusion, your voice softer than before. "What do you mean, defending Alex?"
Trevor scoffed, his usual snarky self was back on. "You're like his damn lawyer or something, you always have his back. It's fucking exhausting, he's my best friend."
You understood this whole issue now. "I know he's your best friend. I get that, okay? I'm not trying to steal him from you, he's your best friend and I get that-"
"It's not about that!" He raised his voice, frustrated. He sighed as he shook his face, staring back you. You were confused as you stared back at him. As his gaze suddenly softened, it clicked.
He wasn't jealous of you, he was jealous of Alex. It seemed to have clicked in Trevor's head too, his deep blue eyes gazing deeply into yours. And before you knew it, his lips clashed into yours. You kissed him back, moaning into the roughness of the kiss.
He didn't give you any time to adjust to any of it, he hand laced around your neck, pulling you closer to his mouth. His tongue quickly invaded your mouth, exploring everything.
He broke the kiss for a second, looking into your eyes for confirmation. "Y/N?"
You couldn't even form any words, that kiss, even though it had lasted mere seconds felt like a breath of fresh air. You couldn't even form words anymore, your brain had become mush. God damnit, the fucking spell this man had you under.
A smirk stretched Trevor's face as he stared into your lustful eyes, he couldn't help it. He pulled you into another quick kiss before pushing you down on to the bed and quickly followed on top of you, as the bed squeaked under you and Trevor's weight. His hand rose from your neck to your face, gripping it harshly as he squeezed.
"You run your mouth all day long and now you can't say a single word." The smirk was still evident on his face, he looked proud as he stared down at you. "And all I had to do was kiss you stupid, huh?"
"Trevor," you whimpered out. You couldn't even think straight but you did feel stupid, how could one kiss make you feel this way?
"What?" He sounded annoyed but you could tell he was enjoying having control over you. "What do you need, princess?"
You hadn't heard that irritating nickname in a while and usually, you would get mad. But this time, the nickname went right down to your pussy. You let out a soft moan at that, as he squeezed your face again.
"Thought you hated that, princess? Hmm? You like it now?" Trevor moved closer to you, planting a sloppy kiss on your mouth. His hand moved back to your neck, holding you in place. "I asked you a question, can you answer it for me or did I already break you?" His smirk grew at the last statement, the idea of breaking you made his cock grow a little harder.
You felt it, too. Right on your stomach too, which made you squirm under his weight. "Trevor, please."
"Trevor, please. What?" He mocked you, making you sigh exasperatingly. He rocked his hips against your stomach unexpectedly, making you let out a shocked moan.
"Fuck, Trevor."
"You need me to fuck you, huh?"
That was definitely not what you meant, but you'll take it. "Yes, please. I need you, please."
"Hm, so polite. You really are a princess huh, pretty girl?" He brought his other hand to move your hair out of your face, so he could so you better. He cupped your cheek next, grabbing your face before kissing you again.
Trevor got off of you, lying next to you. You were confused and were about to protest until he placed his hand right on your stomach, making you go still. He then sat up, pulling your shorts right off, your underwear next.
You felt self-conscious until you saw Trevor's face. You could tell now, Trevor was the one in the trance, he looked like he was in awe. He then moved his hands to your shirt, discarding it along with your pants.
He placed his hand right on top of your stomach and you felt yourself get even hotter from his touch. He moved his hand lower and cupped your bare cunt, you let out a breath. Trevor looked focused as he started moving his hand against your cunt, making you whimper.
He moved his hand then inserted a finger, making you shiver. You were surprised at the sudden pressure and let out a small gasp. Trevor smirked from next to you, as he began to thrust his finger in and out of you.
You couldn't let out any words, only pathetic sounds. The thought of Alex being in the next room was quickly disregarded as Trevor began to quicken his speed, making your whole body feel like it's been lit on fire.
Your back arched at the new feeling, your head suddenly felt like you were on a roller coaster, you were dizzy on his single finger. The tight sensation began to form in your stomach and you were breathing heavily, losing yourself in the feeling. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"
Right as you were about to cum, his finger left your wet cunt. You let out a cry of displease as you looked up at Trevor, a smirk evident on his face. "I want you to cum on my cock, understand princess?"
You let out a whimper of agreement. You weren't thinking straight at the moment, all you could think of is finally cumming and cumming on Trevor's dick.
Before you knew it, Trevor was on top of you. He took out his hard cock out of his pants, his expression changing to one of desperation and lust. His eyebrows were knitted in concentration, as he gave his cock a few pumps. His cock was already leaking of pre-cum as he slowly inserted himself in you.
Now, this was a new sensation. You couldn't help but arch at the feeling. If you thought you couldn't get any more drunk on Trevor, you were completely fucking wrong. His dick felt unreal, even if he was only a quarter inside of you. You moved your hand to grip his arm, trying to settle yourself.
He bottomed you out as quick as he could, you felt filled to the brim in the best way. The sensation burned as he stretched you out, it had been a while since you'd been intimate with anyone. It felt so good, your mouth hung open as Trevor put his hands on your hips.
"Fuck, baby you feel so good." He groaned in your ear as you let out a small string of whimpers. Trevor felt light-headed from how good you felt; so warm, so tight, so wet, your pussy was made for him.
He began rocking his hips against yours, thrusting in and out of you. You began moaning, not being able to hold it back. Trevor's hand immediately clasped your mouth to shut up, "Shh, princess. Gotta be quiet."
Trevor was having a problem staying quiet too, desperate sounds leaving his moans as he kept thrusting into and out of your core. He moved one of his hand up to grip your throat. The added sensation made a knot form in your sensation, you were close.
You started bucking your hips to meet his own, causing a new rhythm. You gripped the sheets as you felt yourself come closer to the climax. "Gonna cum, gonna cum, gonna cum." You rambled in Trevor's ear, whimpering.
"Fuck me too baby, hold on." He choked out. Your pussy sucked him in so well, making it harder for him to even breath. His thoughts were consumed completely of how good he was feeling right now. "Let's cum together, kay?"
All you could do was nod as you couldn't even comprehend anything that was happening expect the fact you needed to cum, that knot was so closing to snapping. You felt your heartbeat race as the bed creaked underneath you two.
The knot was so thin, so close. And it snapped almost immediately as Trevor started rubbing your clit along with his harsh thrusts. "Fuck!" You cried out. You let out a breath of utter bliss as Trevor soon came undone inside of you.
As Trevor came, he immediately came down from the high and he realized exactly what had happened. He had just fucked the girl he swore up and down he would never ever like. And the worst part was he wasn't even mad about it.
──
"Y/N?" Alex repeats as you finally zone back again. You were at a brunch with Alex after a few days without seeing him. Which also meant it had been a few days since you had seen Trevor, giving you a lot of clarity about exactly what had happened.
"Yep, yep. I'm listening, sorry. I have a caffeine headache." You replied softly as you looked down at your plate, taking a bite of your food.
Alex wasn't convinced though as he looked at you, clearly trying to read you. He knew something was up with you ever since the party but he couldn't piece it together, thankfully. He still doesn't know that you and Trevor hooked up that night.
"What's been up with you?" He asked, concern etched across his face as he probed for answers.
"Sorry, it's just been a long week," you reply, attempting to divert his attention. You take a sip of your coffee, hoping the caffeine would kick in and help you shake off the residual effects of the headache.
Alex leans back in his chair, eyeing you with concern. "You sure that's all it is? You've been kind of... distant for past couple days."
"Yeah, just school and work stuff, you know?" you reply vaguely, avoiding eye contact.
He narrows his eyes, clearly not buying your explanation. "Come on, Y/N, we've been friends for how long? I can tell when something's bothering you. Talk to me, please."
You let out a sigh, realizing that Alex's persistence might not be easy to deflect. "Okay, fine. It's just... things have been a bit hectic lately. School and work have been piling up, you know?" Another lie. But you couldn't risk Alex finding out anything, you were scared of his reaction. It had already changed the entire dynamic between you and Trevor, you surely didn't want it to change yours and Alex's.
Alex's expression softens as he bought your white lie, and he nods understandingly. "Yeah, life can be a lot sometimes. But you know you can always talk to me, right?"
"I appreciate that. It's just been a bit overwhelming, and I'm trying to find the balance," you explain, maintaining the facade. The weight of keeping the truth hidden gnaws at you, but the fear of how Alex might react keeps you from opening up.
He leans back, a supportive look in his eyes. "I get it. Just don't forget to take care of yourself, okay? You don't have to carry everything on your own. I'm here to help, too."
"Thanks, Alex. You means a lot to me," you say, grateful for the understanding tone in his voice. You hated the fact that because you let your stupid hormones get in way, now you had to lie to your best friend.
──
The booming music echoed through the crowded room, the beat of the music creating a chaotic sound of laughter and chatter. The air was thick with the scent of sweat and alcohol. You found yourself in the middle of it all, a red cup in hand and the bright lights casting a kaleidoscope of colors over everyone as Future plays through the speakers.
As the night progressed, the effects of the one too many vodka RedBulls took their toll, and you realized that getting home on your own might be more challenging than expected. With a blurry sense of responsibility, you fumble for your phone and manage to dial Alex's number: your favorite sober friend.
"Hey, Alex," you slur into the phone, trying your best to sound coherent.
"Y/N? Is everything okay?" Alex's voice, though concerned, held a hint of weariness.
"Yeah, I'm just... shitfaced right now. Can you pick me up?" You request, your words entirely slurred. Your head was aching and all wanted to do was sleep.
There's a pause on the other end. "I wish I could, Y/N, but I've got some work I need to finish tonight. I'm really sorry."
You pout, the disappointment evident in your voice. "It's fine I can call an uber. I just-"
"Wait, Trevor's here. He said he could come pick you up."
"What?" You thought out loud. Trevor hadn't spoken to you in more than two weeks and now all of a sudden he wants to come and save the day?
"No 'whats' Y/N." Alex sounded exhausted. "It's 2 am, I'm not letting you get into an uber drunk and alone. Trevor's coming right now, just hold on."
With that, you hang up and awkwardly attempt to wait for Trevor. The minutes feel like hours as you sway slightly to the music, the room spinning around you. You were getting tired as you sipped on your water as an attempt to sober up. You felt a hand grab your waist and you jumped but relaxed at the sight of Trevor behind you.
Exhaustion was clear on his face but he still somehow looked good. You didn't know if it was the alcohol or what, but he looked amazing under the colorful lights. He steadied your shaky and drunk body as he looked down at you, concern on his face.
"Hey, are you okay?" he asks, his expression shifting from concern to genuine worry.
"Yeah just a little... drunk." You slurred as you manage a half-smile, appreciating his presence despite the haze of alcohol clouding your senses.
"Yeah, I can see that." He returned your smile as you unintentionally stared at his face, his blue eyes boring into yours. "Let's get you home, okay princess?"
The nickname didn't sound so bad drunk or horny as you blinked up at him. Together, you navigate through the crowd, Trevor's hand securely on your waist, a sense of comfort and stability in the swirling chaos of the party.
The journey outside is a welcome relief from the overwhelming noise. The cool night air hits you, and you take a deep breath, feeling a bit more alert. Trevor leads you to his car, and as you settle in, you can't help but feel a mix of gratitude for him. You look at the time, it was almost 4 in the morning and he came all the way here to get you. It wasn't even at the request of Alex, he offered.
"Thanks for coming," you mumble, your words slightly slurred.
Trevor gives you a small, understanding smile. "No problem. Just wanted to make sure you got home safely."
As Trevor drives through the quiet streets, the gentle hum of the car and the motion lulls you into a drowsy state. The exhaustion from the party catches up with you, and despite your best efforts to stay awake, your eyelids become heavier with every passing moment.
Trevor glances over and notices your head nodding, your eyes struggling to stay open. Concerned, he reaches over to gently shake your shoulder. "Hey, Y/N, you okay?"
You mumble a sleepy affirmation, your voice barely audible. The comfort of the car, with the rhythmic sounds of the night, becomes too hard to resist. Slowly, your eyes flutter closed, and you find yourself succumbing to sleep.
Trevor glances over again, a soft smile playing on his lips as he realizes you've fell asleep. He adjusts his driving, making sure to navigate the roads carefully while allowing you to rest. The ride continues in a peaceful silence, the streetlights casting a soft glow over the car.
By the time Trevor arrives at your house, you're in a deep sleep, completely unaware of the ride's end. Trevor parks the car carefully, making sure to have a smooth stop. He looks over at you, the soft glow of the streetlights illuminating your peaceful expression.
Trevor decides to let you sleep. He turns off the engine and steps out of the car, gently closing the door. Moving around to your side, he opens the door with a quiet creak, trying not to disturb your rest.
With great care, Trevor scoops you up in his arms, cradling you like precious cargo. The night air is cool as he carries you towards your front door. His steps are measured, ensuring each footfall is soft, not wanting to wake you from the peaceful sleep you've fallen into.
As Trevor reaches your door, he fumbles to find your keys and unlock it. The quietness of the night envelops the scene as he carries you inside, careful not to make a sound. He navigates through the somewhat familiar space of your home, finding your room and carefully putting you down the on the soft cushion of your bed.
He took off your shoes and socks, as well as your coat. He got a blanket and covered you with it carefully. Trevor then went to the kitchen grabbing a bottle of water and finding the asprin, putting them on your bedside table.
After, Trevor stands there for a moment, watching you sleep, the soft glow of the streetlights filtering through the curtains. With a final look, he quietly leaves the room, leaving you to continue your sleep undisturbed.
The next morning feels like waking up from a million year sleep (and not in a good way). As consciousness seeps back in, you're met with a disorienting fog, a heavy ache in your head and the lingering taste of regret. The sunlight beams through the curtains feels more intrusive than comforting, casting a harsh light on the hazy remnants of the previous night.
This happened every time you go out and drink, your hangovers are always the worst no matter how many tricks you try. You sit up, your head pounding as the memories of last night resurface. The room spins for a moment before settling into a dull ache. Glancing around, you piece together the familiar surroundings of your room, but the events of the night before remain elusive, obscured by a mental fog.
You turn your head to the bedside table and see what Trevor had left. Then everything started to piece together. The phone call, the drive home and now... he left you asprin and a bottle of water?
As you slowly sip the water and take the asprin, the disorienting fog begins to lift. The sunlight, though still unwelcome, now holds a softer glow, and the room feels less oppressive. You can't help but wonder about Trevor's motives and the reason of his actions. Is it mere kindness, or does it mean something more?
You shake your head and sigh. It's too early to be contemplating what any of it means, you're too hungover to even care. All you know is that you appreciate him for what he did last night, even if he had ghosted you for two weeks.
──
"Yeah and then she left the date right after I told her that, and she never texted me back." Alex chuckled as he leaned back more into the couch, getting more comfortable.
You and Alex laugh as he recounts a date, the casual banter lightening the mood in the room. The atmosphere feels familiar and relaxed, and you're both enjoying the comfort of the couch.
"That's rough. The classic 'reveal too much too soon' thing," you joke, a playful smile on your face. It was good to finally relax back at Alex's place without any of the Trevor shit making you uncomfortable. You were in the clear for now, you and Trevor still haven't talked about what happened a few weeks prior and it sounded like neither did Trevor and Alex.
Alex nods, taking a sip of his drink. "Yeah, pretty much. I guess I scared her off with my deep thoughts. Lesson learned, I suppose."
"Deep thoughts?" You laughed as you shook your head. "Okay Mr. Philosopher."
"That's right, Y/N. I'm not just a pretty face; I've got layers," Alex teases, giving you a mock-serious look. You let out another booming laugh, leaning back into the couch.
The door opens unexpectedly and you both look to see Trevor walking in with his gym gear. He looks tired and his eyes widen in surprise as he makes direct eye contact with you. He immediately looks away and sighs.
"Hey," Trevor greets, his voice carrying a mixture of weariness and slight annoyance.
"Hey, Trev." Alex responds, a noticeable shift in the atmosphere. The living room now feels awkward, the unspoken tension palpable.
Trevor moves further into the room, avoiding eye contact with you. "Am I interrupting something?"
Alex glances at you, and there's a moment of hesitation before he responds, "Nah, just catching up. You're not interrupting."
Trevor nods slowly, still avoiding direct eye contact with you. The weight of the unspoken tension hangs in the air, and the room now feels awkward and strained. As Trevor heads to another part of the apartment, you exchange a look with Alex, both unsure of how to navigate the unexpected encounter.
"That was awkward." Alex was the first to speak up, a little amusement in his voice. "Everything okay with you two?"
You tried your best not to show how uncomfortable that question made you feel. You had to lie to your best friend again. "Yeah, why'd you ask that?"
"I don't know, Trevor's usually more excited to be home and you guys were making pretty intense eye contact." Alex explained as he shrugged, leaning more back into the chair.
You manage a nonchalant smile, doing your best to downplay the significance of the encounter. "Probably just tired from the practice and the gym. And maybe he's hungry."
"You're right. He does get hangry." Alex muses as you let out a little chuckle. You hear the bathroom door open and there he was, an somewhat angrier expression on his face.
He sat down on the loveseat and sighs as you and Alex exchange looks. "Hey dude, you hungry?"
"Yeah." Trevor responds with a nod. "You and Y/N planning on going out to eat?" His voice carries a hint of... jealousy?
Alex rolls his eyes and sighs. "No, not just me and Y/N, I was thinking about goin' and getting something for all of us to eat."
As you sat in the middle of this situation, you felt like you were intruding. This felt a little more personal than they were both leading on.
Trevor's skeptical gaze shifts between Alex and you, and for a moment, the tension thickens. The air becomes charged with more tension, and you feel like an unwilling spectator caught in the middle of their now, weird dynamic.
Finally, Trevor breaks the silence, "Alright, fine. Whatever you're getting, make it quick. I'm starving."
As Alex heads towards the door, you and Trevor are left in an awkward silence. The weight of the unspoken tension looms, and it's clear that something beneath the surface is affecting the atmosphere.
"So..." you begin, attempting to break the awkwardness.
Trevor cuts you off with a curt nod. "Look, we need to talk about what happened."
You scoffed in annoyance. You have been trying to get in contact with him after this whole weird incident but you kept getting left on read and now he wants to act like he's the bigger person? You're not gonna let him get away with that. "Yeah, we do. Let's talk about it."
"Fine, let's talk," Trevor concedes, his eyes meeting yours with frustration.
You decide to break the ice, "Look, Trevor, I tried reaching out to you. Multiple times. You left me on read every single time."
Trevor crosses his arms defensively, his gaze avoiding yours. "I needed time to think, alright? It's not that easy."
"You could've at least told me that. Ignoring me just added more confusion to the mix," you retort, your frustration bubbling to the surface.
He rolls his eyes, dismissive, "We hooked up, Y/N. That kinda thing complicates things and I needed space to figure it out."
You shake your head, unimpressed by his justification. "Space doesn't mean ignoring someone. And, for the record, you played just as big a part in 'complicating things' as I did."
Trevor looks at you, his irritation evident in his features. His ears were turning a bright red as his eyes became solely focused on you. "I don't want to rehash this right now," he sighed. "Let's just move on and forget about it."
You're not willing to let him sweep everything under the rug so easily. Your heart raced in anger as Trevor tried to downplay this entire thing. It was pretty clear to you that this whole thing meant way more to you than him. "You don't get to decide that, Trevor. We both need to address what happened."
He huffs, clearly growing angry. "What's there to address? We hooked up, things got weird, and now we're here. End of story."
Your jaw slightly fell open, you couldn't believe he just said that. Your frustration intensifies, and you're not about to let him off the hook. "You can't just pretend like it didn't mean anything. We were somewhat friends, and now it feels like you're trying to erase that. And don't get me started on what would happen with us and Alex."
Trevor's eyes narrow at the mention of Alex. "He doesn't have anything to do with our business and if he gets mad at us for just doing that, so be it. We're adults who can make our decisions without him being angry about it."
Your frustration only grows as Trevor dismisses the impact of your actions on Alex. "We're all friends, Trevor. It's not just about us; it's about the dynamic between all three of us. You can't just sweep it under the rug and expect everything to go back to normal."
Trevor's expression tightens, and his frustration is palpable. "This is between you and me. Bringing Alex into it just complicates things for no fucking reason."
You cross your arms, unyielding. "He's part of our lives, Trevor!"
Trevor runs a hand through his hair, visibly agitated. "You act like I'm hiding something from him. We're not together, and we both know it was a mistake. So, what's there to explain?"
But you're not ready to move on. There's a lingering tension, a connection that can't be easily severed. "We can't just brush this under the rug, Trevor. Ignoring it won't make it disappear. We need to talk about it and figure out where we stand."
Trevor's expression hardens, and you can see the walls he's putting up. "I'm not gonna dissect our one-night stand and it's every little detail, Y/N. If you're looking for closure or whatever, find it elsewhere."
The blunt dismissal stings, and you find yourself growing more frustrated with every passing moment. "You can't just shut me out, Trevor. We are both friends with Alex, and we owe it to him to face the consequences of our actions."
Trevor's face contorted with anger, and he snaps back, "You act like I owe you or Alex something, Newsflash: I don't. We hooked up. Get over it."
"Okay fine. It's not like it was anything I hadn't felt before, your skills are mediocre at best." The comment slips out, and Trevor's face contorts in anger. You knew it was petty to bring the sex into it but it was worth his expression. He looked shocked as he was surprised.
He got up from the loveseat and grabbed your face. "Oh really? It didn't sound like that when we were fucking, Y/N. You were screaming so loud I'm surprised that the neighbors didn't say anything."
You knew you struck a nerve then and there and couldn't help but smirk. You held his eye contact for a few seconds before spitting out another petty remark, "Maybe I'm just a really good actress."
Trevor's grip on your face tightens as he leans in closer, his eyes narrowing. The air between you two crackles with intensity, a strange mixture of anger and something else. "Wanna test that, princess? Let's try again and see who's right." Before you can fully register what's happening, his lips crash onto yours in a fierce, heated kiss.
It's a collision of conflicting emotions – anger, desire, frustration – all rolled into one. The kiss is both punishing and passionate, a show of the unresolved tension that has been building between you. As you respond to his unexpected move, the lines between anger and lust blur in the heat of the moment.
Time seems to freeze as you both lose yourselves in the unexpected intensity of the kiss. The room, once filled with animosity, now becomes a battlefield of unspoken emotions. The kiss is a paradox, a contradiction to the heated argument that lead to it.
His hands left your face as he move them to grip your hips, as his lips travelled down your neck as he planted wet kisses on it. You couldn't help but whimper in desire, keeping his movements slow and calculated. "You're a slut, you know that?" He whispers in your ear as he sucks right below it.
The dirty words left his mouth so smoothly you couldn't help but whimper in affirmation. You couldn't help but like it. Trevor's hand moves further south and lands right on your crotch. You let out a soft moan at that, looking to the side at Trevor's expression. He still looked frustrated as he rubbed you slowly, "You let Alex touch you like this?"
You wanted to be annoyed but he just has you such a trance, you couldn't be. You didn't know what this whole competition with Alex was, but all you know was that Trevor wanted praise. You shook your head, "Only you, Trev."
"Good." He finally unbuttoned your jeans and you felt a relief wash over you. Trevor quickly moved your jeans to down to your ankles as he felt your underwear. You felt another jolt of utter arousal hit you as he rubbed you.
"Oh fuck, Trevor." Your eyes shut as your head lolled back on the couch.
"You're so wet, princess." Trevor let out a laugh as he moved his hands. "Bet Alex couldn't make you this wet."
You shook your head in a state of deliciousness. "Only you, Trev. Please, do something."
"I don't think you deserve it though, princess. Haven't been so nice lately, huh?" He was teasing and you both knew it. You let out an exasperated sigh as you bucked your hips against his hand.
"Trevor, don't tease right now."
"I'm serious." He moved his other hand to grip your face to make you look at him. "You haven't been a good girl, princess. Causing all these problems for me, when all I've done is make you feel so good. Right?" He started rubbing you a little faster, as your eyes shut again.
You knew you were gonna regret agreeing with him later but you needed him to touch you, or you swore you were gonna explode. "Fuck. Yes, I'm sorry. Sorry just please do anything, I need you."
"Need me? Hmm?" He was having fun with this and you were tired of it. He finally moved your underwear to the side and he dipped a finger in, making you arch your back on the couch.
"Shit, Trev!"
He immediately started thrusting his finger in and out. "You're so fucking wet, princess. And I didn't even touch you until now. You're a slut for me, beneath all that anger and frustration from earlier, all you needed was another good fuck from me again, huh Y/N?"
You hated how right he was. And how good he was making you feel. He soon added another finger and that added to the pressure that was currently building in your lower stomach. It was so, so close to snapping, you were about to cum. Your whole body began shaking as you felt the wave of relief wash over you, one hand gripping his wrist and the other holding onto the couch.
Before you could process anything, Trevor pulled your jeans back up. He leaned down to your face, "Open your mouth." You did as you were told and he stuffed his fingers into your mouth. "You made a mess all over my fingers, princess. Gotta clean it up now."
You sucked his fingers clean of your arousal. Then, you heard keys and Trevor quickly pulled them out of your mouth right as Alex walked in. "Hey guys, I got Chipotle. I got your usual orders." He looked up with a smile before it fell slowly. "Um, you two okay?"
Trevor responded with a laugh, "Yup we're perfect. I gotta go to the bathroom really quick I'll be right out." He didn't spare you another glance as he sauntered back into the bathroom.
"Didn't he just take a shower?"
"Yeah, maybe he just um... needed to pee." Your legs were still shaking as you smiled up at Alex. "You uh, got some guac and chips?"
──
As the weeks passed, the dynamics between you and Trevor shifted. What started as a complicated relationship began to turn into something more. The late-night conversations grew longer, the laughter became more genuine, and the guarded walls you both had built around yourselves started to crumble. Being vulnerable became something neither of you were scared of anymore. You found solace in each other's company, sharing your thoughts, fears, and dreams.
Trevor, who was once guarded, started opening up about the pressures of his career, the expectations, and the toll it took on him. In turn, you shared your own struggles, creating a bond that turned into something more than the physical. The tension that lingered from the first night slowly dissipated, replaced by a something more.
The secrecy surrounding your relationship added an element of thrill, but it also brought uncertainty. The fear of someone finding out, especially Alex, loomed over you both. Yet, despite the complications, you found solace in each other's company. The intimacy that developed between you two went beyond the physical, and the connection deepened with each passing day. But the lingering question remained: How long could this hidden relationship last and what would be the consequences when the truth inevitably came to light?
The glow of city lights illuminated the night as Trevor and you walked side by side along a quiet street. The evening air felt cold, but the warmth between you two created a bubble that shielded you from the cold.
Trevor's hand found its way to yours, his fingers intertwined with yours in a natural and familiar way. Your hands were freezing and his were warm, you felt yourself become warm by his touch. As you walked, you couldn't help but exchange playful glances and teasing smiles.
The city sounds slowly faded as you entered a little café that was a safe haven from the crispy air outside. The smell of freshly brewed coffee enveloped you as you walked in.
The barista greeted you with a smile as you approached the counter. Trevor squeezed your hand gently, his eyes locked onto yours. "What do you feel like having?"
You scanned the menu, the warmth in your chest spreading as you realized how comfortable and natural this felt. "How about some hot cocoa?"
"Yeah, me too." Trevor nodded and placed the order, his hand never leaving yours.
As you waited for your drinks, you found a cozy corner booth and settled in. Trevor slid into the booth across from you, his gaze was warm. "My stomach still hurts from that ramen we had on Saturday."
You laughed at that and shook your head, "Me too. What were we thinking ordering the spiciest one on the menu?"
Trevor chuckled, his laughter echoing in the warmth of the café. "I don't know, we thought we could handle it. I don't even remember what it tasted like."
"Probably a trauma response," You joked as you smiled up at him.
Trevor shook his head, "Yeah never again."
The warm cups cradled in your hands, you took a sip of the sweet hot cocoa. "This is perfect. Thank you for indulging my sweet tooth."
Trevor grinned, his eyes sparkling with as he winked playfully. "Anything for you."
"Oh yeah?" You laughed as you shook your head.
Trevor leaned in slightly, his voice lower. "Absolutely. You've got a sweet tooth, and I've got a soft spot for you."
"That was so cheesy, Trevor." You shook your head in a faux disappointed way but your heart fluttered at his words. You wanted to think logically but at this point, you couldn't. You knew you weren't dating but it felt like you were, and that was all that mattered right now.
"Yeah? Well you're blushing so I'm pretty sure it landed well, no matter how cheesy you say it was." He smirked as he drank some of his hot cocoa.
"Oh, shut up." You rolled your eyes, hitting his shoulder playfully. "That was your goal the entire time, you're just trying to get in my pants."
He put his hands up defensively as he laughed, "You got me there, princess."
Your face was as warm as the drink in your hands as Trevor gazed back at you. "Stop looking at me like that." You whispered with a smile.
Trevor shook his head in response, "Nope." He leaned in and planted a soft kiss on your lips.
──
You pulled up the blanket to cover your naked body as you let out a laugh at Trevor's joke, the warmth of your bodies leaving your entire body on fire. The glow of his bedside lamp created a cozy atmosphere, casting shadows that danced along the walls. Trevor laid beside you, a contented smile playing on his lips.
"That was a good one," you say softly, still chuckling at his stupid humor.
Trevor smirked, a teasing glint in his eyes. "I have my moments. But hey, I've gotta keep ya entertained."
You playfully rolled your eyes. "Entertained? Is that what this is?" You gestured between the two of you.
"Of course. I'm here to provide top-tier entertainment. What else did you think this was?"
You feigned deep contemplation, tapping your chin. "Well I was hoping for a one-man show, but I guess company isn't too bad."
His eyes sparkled with amusement as he laughed. "Oh, I see how it is. You're just here for the comedy, not the sexy company."
You chuckled, "Well, your sexy company is tolerable when you're not making terrible jokes."
Trevor placed a hand over his heart, pretending to be wounded. "Ouch, Y/N. My jokes are gold, and you know it."
"More like bronze," you teased, smirking.
Trevor shook his head, "I'm a comedic genius and you know it, princess."
You playfully rolled your eyes. "Genius might be pushing it a bit."
He feigned offense, placing a hand over his heart. "Ouch, right in the ego. I really thought I was the funniest guy you knew, sweetheart."
You chuckled, "You're definitely up there, but I can't give you a big head. We wouldn't want that."
Trevor shifted closer, the warmth of his presence enveloping you. "Nah, my head's just the right size. Wouldn't want it any other way."
Before you could respond, you heard a loud ding! coming from the bedside table. You realized it was Trevor's phone and grabbed it quickly and glancing at the screen on pure habit. Your heart dropped when you saw a girl's name with three hearts next to it, "Amber ❤️❤️❤️". You didn't recognize it and you quickly handed it to Trevor, choosing to keep quiet. You two were nothing but friends with benefits, that was it.
That realization hit you like a ton of bricks, you knew you had no right to be saying anything because neither of you even talked about wanting commitment. But the thought of him talking to other girls the same he did with you felt like betrayal, but of course he was; he was one of the biggest names in the NHL right now, who wouldn't wanna sleep with him?
Trevor took his phone from you, glancing at the screen. He quickly tapped a response, and you couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy, even though you had no right to. Your heart felt like it was shattered and you suddenly felt sick. It was a stark reminder of the nature of your relationship – undefined and open.
He put his phone back on the bedside table, seemingly oblivious to the momentary discomfort that flickered across your face. "Sorry about that. Just a friend," he said casually, offering a smile.
You managed a nod, plastering on a forced smile. "No worries." Your response was short as you pulled the covers up to cover up more of your naked body, you felt more exposed than before.
He noticed the gesture and his eyebrows furrowed, "You okay?"
"Yeah, just tired. I should probably get going, I have work in the morning." You said softly, dismissing the fact you said you'd stay the night, like you usually did.
Trevor seemed confused until he looked at his phone then back at you, piecing it together. "Oh,"
You got out of the bed and put your bra and shirt back on. Trevor stayed in bed, trying to figure out what to say. Just as you were about to leave, Trevor's phone buzzed again. Another notification from the same girl probably, and you couldn't ignore the pang of hurt that struck you.
Trevor, sensing your gaze, met your eyes, his expression guarded. The unspoken tension between you two hung in the air. "Is everything okay?" He asked, shaking his head.
"Yeah, fine."
"Y/N, is this about her?" He gestured toward his phone. Before you could say anything he continued. "Come back, princess. Promise I'll stop talking to her, okay? Will that make you stop being cold?"
You hesitated, caught off guard by Trevor's unexpected offer. The vulnerability in his eyes mirrored your own uncertainty. After a moment of silence, you sighed, relenting to the unspoken desire for clarity.
"Fine," you replied, the weight of the unspoken tension lifting slightly. You looked up at him and the curves of his lips turned up into a warm smile and it felt like he was pulling you back in. Goddamnit. You tried to be strong but even his smile made your knees buckle.
"Come here, princess." He mumbled as he opened his arms up and you sighed. You put down your bag and slowly walked back to him as he scooched so you could come.
As you nestled into the warmth of Trevor's arms, the faint scent of his cologne enveloping you, a mixture of comfort and uncertainty settled in. The comfort of being close to him tugged at your heart, and for a moment, it felt like the unspoken tension had given way to a silent understanding. You listened to the soft beat of his heart, and it echoed the complexities of your own feelings. Trevor's fingers traced soothing patterns on your back, the rhythmic gesture grounding you both in the present moment.
He moved slowly and gave you a soft kiss on your head as he muttered against your hair, "Only really want you, princess. You're the only one who could ever make me feel like this, do shit like this..."
The words hung in the air, as you stayed wrapped in his arms. You couldn't ignore the fact that, despite the uncertainties, there was a bond that he shared with you that he doesn't share with anyone else.
──
Finally, after months of living with Alex, Trevor had secured his own place. In the true nature of Alex and Trevor, they threw a housewarming party to celebrate it.
The party at Trevor's new place was in full swing. In a corner of the living room, Trevor leaned against the wall, a solo cup in hand, and surveyed the scene. His eyes found Alex across the room, engaged in a conversation with a group of people. As he caught sight of you approaching, Trevor's smile widened.
"Enjoying the party, princess?" he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
You smirked, taking a sip of your drink. "Not bad, Trevor. You throw a decent party."
Alex walked over and joined the conversation, clapping Trevor on the back. "Man, this place is huge. Finally got rid of the sardine can feel, huh?"
Trevor chuckled, "Yeah, the sardine can days are over. No offense, Alex."
"None taken. It was time for a change, and I needed my own space. Plus, no more stepping on each other's toes. I can finally have as many girls over as I want." Alex joked as you rolled your eyes.
"Okay, sure Mr. Rizz right here."
"Shut up, Y/N. You're still single and I'm here with girls blowing up my phone." Alex playfully glared at you and you couldn't help but laugh. You and Trevor both exchanged a knowing glance before laughing again. It was still a secret, of course.
Trevor's gaze suddenly moved behind you and he quickly excused himself, you turned around to see the girl, Amber, from the other night. The one who he'd insisted he'd stop seeing. The only reason why you knew what she looked like was because you decided to do some investigating on his Instagram, finding her. Your face fell and you turned to Alex, excusing yourself as well to go find some drinks.
The thing was, you and Trevor weren't together. It wasn't the fact that he's still seeing her that bothered (but you would admit that it did sting a little), it was the fact that he promised to stop talking to her, it was on his own accord.
Moving through the crowd, you felt a knot form in your stomach as you sought refuge near in the kitchen. The sight of Lily's arrival stirred a bunch of emotions, each one more complex than the last. Trevor excusing himself to go talk to her only added to the discomfort.
As you busied yourself with preparing a drink, Alex joined you, sensing the shift in your mood. "Everything okay, Y/N?"
You forced a smile, attempting to downplay the situation. "Yeah, just needed a breather. Crowds, you know?"
Alex raised an eyebrow, studying your expression closely. "You sure that's all?"
"It's nothing, Alex," you reassured him, taking a sip of your drink. The burning liquid did little to soothe the brewing turmoil within.
The music throbbed in the background as you kept an eye on Trevor. His interactions with Amber seemed too friendly for someone he "stopped talking to". The promises he made echoed in your mind, and you couldn't shake the feeling of being betrayed, even if it was in a vague, unspoken way.
As you continued to observe Trevor and Amber, your internal turmoil escalated. You knew that watching wouldn't help your anxiety but you couldn't stop yourself. They laughed together, sharing inside jokes that seemed to bridge a connection beyond what you'd expected. It was a contrast to the secrecy that surrounded your interactions with Trevor, you couldn't help but feel jealous. The laughter, their shared glances, and his touches — it all played out before you like a scene from a script you hadn't been privy to. Your attempt to brush off the unease became even more challenging.
Then, he broke your final straw — he moved her chin up to look at him, like he always did with you. It was a simple gesture but it meant a lot but now you've realized it may have just been a trick all along. He knew what he was doing. You couldn't just sit there and watch anymore, you had to do something. Unable to bear the sight any longer, you made your way through the crowd, determined to confront Trevor about this stupid situation.
Finally reaching Trevor, you tapped him on the shoulder. He turned to you, a smile playing on his lips. "Hey, princess, having a good time?"
The nickname didn't feel so endearing as did it before you glanced at Amber then back at him. Your attempt to maintain composure was slipping, and you responded with a forced smile. "Can we talk?"
Trevor's brow furrowed, and he exchanged a quick glance with Amber before nodding. "Sure thing, Y/N."
Before you and Trevor could walk away, Amber spoke up. Sensing tension, glanced between you and Trevor before smirking. "Oh, is this your girlfriend?"
The term stung, not because you didn't want to be Trevor's girlfriend, but because it highlighted the weird nature of your connection. Before you could respond, Amber continued, her tone condescending, "Trevor, you didn't mention you had a possessive one."
You gritted your teeth, your patience waning. "I appreciate your concern, but this is between Trevor and me. You don't need to get involved."
Trevor's jaw tightened, irritation evident in his expression. "Amber, we're just figuring shit out. It's not your business."
She chuckled, clearly enjoying the tension. "Oh, I get it. Casual fun, right?" Amber's gaze shifted to you, her eyes narrowing with a hint of mockery. "Hope you're not catching feelings, sweetheart. It's not that kind of arrangement. And just remember, you have options, Trev."
The nickname rolled off her tongue perfectly as she left. As she walked away, Trevor shot her a disapproving look before turning his attention back to you.
Turning back to Trevor, you felt a mixture of frustration and hurt. "Can't believe she talked to me like that. And I can't believe you just let it happen."
Trevor looked torn, his eyes darting between you and where Lily disappeared into the crowd. "Y/N, I didn't expect her to be like that, she's sweet to me. Can we talk about this later?"
The dismissal fueled your anger. "Later? You always say later, Trevor. Do I even matter to you?"
Before he could respond, you stormed away, the weight of unspoken words heavy on your shoulders. Trevor hesitated for a moment, torn between following you and letting you go, but ultimately, he chose to chase after you, calling your name in a desperate plea.
He finally caught up, a hand grabbing your arm gently to turn you around. "Y/N, come on. Let's talk about this."
You scoffed, ripping your arm away. "Talk? You're only good at talking, Trevor. Actions? Not so much."
Trevor ran a hand through his hair, frustration evident on his face. "What do you want from me, Y/N? I can't control how she acts."
"Maybe you can't control her, but you can control your own actions," you shot back, the anger bubbling over. "You promised, Trevor. You promised me you'd stop talking to her."
He sighed, looking exasperated. "I said I would talk to her. I didn't know she'd act like that. Can we please not do this here?"
Your eyes narrowed, a bitter laugh escaping you. "Oh, now you care about where we fight? How considerate of you."
Trevor's frustration matched yours, and he raised his voice. "I'm trying, okay? I'm dealing with a lot right now."
"Yeah, well, so am I," you retorted, feeling the sting of tears threatening to spill. The emotions that had been brewing for weeks finally reached a boiling point. "I can't keep doing this, Trevor. I can't keep pretending like everything's fine when it's not."
Trevor's frustration boiled over as he snapped back, "Oh, don't act like you're innocent in all of this, Y/N. You're the one who can't make up your damn mind. One minute, you're all over me, and the next, you're acting like I'm a stranger."
You glared at him, the hurt evident in your eyes. "Maybe I wouldn't be so confused if you actually communicated instead of leaving me in the dark all the time. And don't even get me started on your promises."
He rolled his eyes, a scoff escaping his lips. "Promises? What are we, teenagers? Get over yourself, Y/N. This isn't some fucking fairy tale, people are gonna break some promises sometimes."
Your jaw tightened, and you shot back, "At least I'm not playing games with people's feelings. You know, it's not that hard to be a decent human being, Trevor."
Trevor's eyes narrowed, and he took a step closer, the venom in his voice palpable. "You act like you're some hotshot, like you have it all figured out, you're just as lost as the rest of us. Maybe you should stop pretending like you have your shit together because I know you don't."
You couldn't believe he had went that low. Your chest tightened with anger, "At least I'm not relying on empty hookups to fill the void, Trevor. Maybe if you faced your issues instead of drowning them in whatever girl you find next, you wouldn't be such a fucking mess all the time."
Trevor's face contorted with rage, his usual composed demeanor crumbling. "And what about you, huh? Always trying to fix everyone else's problems. Maybe you should take a good look in the mirror and realize you can't fix everything."
The words hung in the air, each one sharper than a blade. The pain they carried cut through the lingering tension, leaving you stunned. Trevor, realizing the meaning of his words, took a step forward, a desperate urgency in his eyes.
"Y/N, wait, I didn't mean—"
But you had heard enough. The realization that he had crossed a line, spoken words that couldn't be unsaid, fueled your resolve. You turned away, your footsteps quickening as you tried to distance yourself from the searing pain in his words.
Trevor stumbled out an apology, the desperation in his voice growing, "Wait, I take it back. Y/N, please, don't go. I didn't mean any of that."
With each step away from him, the sounds of the party became muffled, as if the world outside your fractured bubble was moving on without you. Trevor called your name one last time, his voice a desperate plea, but you couldn't bring yourself to turn back.
He turned around and saw the last person he'd thought was overhearring them. "Fuck, Alex. You scared me-"
"You and Y/N were hooking up this entire time?" Alex spat, anger in his voice. Trevor hadn't seen him this livid in his entire life. "I should've known, and I should've told her it's a bad idea. And now she's crying because of you, Trevor. Great move, buddy."
Trevor's annoyance flared, "Alex, this is none of your business. Stay out of it."
But Alex wasn't backing down. "None of my business? She's my best friend, Trevor. I hate seeing her like this, and I hate that you're the one causing it."
"Cut the "best friend" bullshit, we all know you fucking like her!" Trevor yelled. He was so close to spilling over the edge, this was supposed to be a fun party but now it's turning into a mess. "And you're too fucking jealous to admit it. And here's the thing, buddy, she'll never see as more than a brother figure, so find yourself someone else."
Alex's eyes widened, disbelief and even more anger merging on his face. "You think this is about jealousy? Trevor, you're so fucking blind. I care about her well-being, not some weird possessiveness shit. Unlike you, I don't treat people as disposable, and I sure as hell don't manipulate them into some fucked up games."
Trevor's frustration boiled over. "You don't understand a fucking thing. She's not your responsibility, and you're not her savior. Stop pretending like you know what's best for her."
Alex's eyes narrowed. "You're right. I don't know what's best for her. But I know what's not, and that's you, Trevor. If this is the person you've become, then-"
Trevor, feeling the weight of the accusations and the tension in the room, snapped, "You know what, Alex? She's mine. Got it? Mine. And you need to accept that."
Alex's eyes widened, pure anger on his face. "What did you just say?"
Trevor's face contorted with a bitter smirk. "You heard me. She's mine. You've always been in the way, and now she sees it too. So, back off, buddy, She doesn't need you."
The words hung in the air like a poisonous cloud. Alex, fueled by a surge of rage, responded, "You're fucking crazy if you think she's an object you can just claim. She deserves someone who treats her with respect, not someone who plays with her feelings for fun."
Trevor's eyes blazed with fury, "You have no idea what she wants. You've always been the nice guy, and nice guys finish last."
Alex scoffed and finally looked away from him, starting to walk to the door. "Yeah, fuck this I don't care. Bye, asshole."
"Oh real rich, Alex! Running off to go save the day like you always do, huh?" He yelled as Alex opened the front door. "Good luck getting outta the friendzone." Before he could walk out, Trevor grabbed his collar and pulled him closer. "You'll never, ever compare to me, Alex. In any way, shape or form. Especially in that department cus we all know who does it better." With a forceful shove, Trevor sent Alex stumbling backward against the door before turning away and walking off.
Trevor needed a drink, and fast. He didn't process anything or anyone as he walked into the kitchen, opening the fridge and grabbing a bottle of vodka. He pulled out one of the shot glasses before pouring himself one, taking it quickly.
Before he could take another, someone tapped on his shoulder. "How'd it go with your little girlfriend?" Amber smirked. "Is she gone?"
Trevor couldn't even speak, he was livid. She was the reason that you had walked away from this. And he just realized that you were the best thing he'd ever have. "Oh, fuck off."
Amber looked proud as she laughed, "Don't be too sad about it, Z, you have me."
That was the last straw. "Get the fuck out."
Her face finally fell. "What-"
"You heard me. Get the fuck out," each word came out more harsh the next. "And I don't wanna ever hear from you again, got it?"
"Z, wait, no! Why are you mad-"
"Get the fuck out! Now!" Trevor finally yelled, watching her shoulders fall. She finally got the memo and sighed, walking away.
As Trevor downed another shot, he realized the gravity of the situation. He had pushed you away, hurt Alex, and now, he had to face the consequences of his actions. The alcohol burned, matching the turmoil in his mind.
Alex caught up with you just outside the house, his footsteps echoing in the silence of the night. He could see the tear stains on your cheeks, and the weight of the situation weighed heavily on his shoulders.
"Hey," he said softly, placing a hand on your shoulder. You turned to him, and he could see the hurt in your eyes. Without a word, he pulled you into a tight and comforting embrace.
You let out a shaky breath, finding solace in the warmth of Alex's presence. His friendship had always been a source of support, and in that moment, you needed it more than ever. He didn't press you to talk; he just held you, letting you feel the reassurance of his touch.
"I can't believe he said those things," you whispered, your voice breaking as your tears stained his hoodie.
Alex sighed, rubbing your back soothingly. "Yeah, he went way too far. You don't deserve that, Y/N."
As the two of you stood there in the quiet night, the weight of Trevor's hurtful words lingered in the air. Alex's presence was the comfort you needed, though. The warmth of his embrace, the steady beat of his heart against yours, helped to ease the ache that Trevor had left behind.
After a moment, you pulled back slightly, meeting Alex's gaze. There was a soft understanding between you, a connection that went beyond friendship. In that shared vulnerability, something shifted.
"I don't know what I expected," you admitted, wiping away a stray tear as you sniffled. "But I never thought he'd say those things. It's like he's a different person."
Alex nodded, a mixture of empathy and frustration in his eyes. "Sometimes people show their true colors when things get tough. And sometimes, we don't really know them as well as we think we do."
A small, sad smile played on your lips. "I thought we were... together, you know? And now it's like I never really knew him."
Alex's expression softened, and he brushed a strand of hair from your face. "You deserve better, Y/N. You deserve someone who appreciates you for who you are, without all the drama and games."
As the words hung in the air, a new awareness passed between you. The night had unfolded in ways you hadn't anticipated, and in the quiet intimacy of that moment, something changed. The connection between you and Alex had deepened, a subtle shift that neither of you fully understood yet.
"I-I'm sorry I didn't say anything about it. It was a secret and I didn't want you to think differently of me." You spoke softly.
"That could never happen, Y/N." He whispered as he cupped your face slowly, as if to test the waters.
Then, without planning, both of your lips met in a gentle kiss. It was a tender touch of understanding of the pain you both felt. The world around you seemed to fade for a moment as the weight on your shoulders lifted, replaced by a different kind of warmth. When you pulled away, uncertainty lingered in the air, but there was also a sense of relief.
──
Over the next couple months, You and Alex started dating, and everything seemed happy and content for the most part. You went on dates and built a connection that felt safe and comforting, nothing like the one you had with Trevor. However, You couldn't shake the lingering feeling that a part of you was still entwined with Trevor. You knew that it was better for you but you missed the way Trevor touched you, the way he spoke and the way he treated you (when it wasn't bad). The joy she felt with Alex was genuine, but the ghost of Trevor lingered in the shadows, casting doubt on her decisions.
You and Alex continued your relationship but Alex couldn't shake the feeling that your heart still held a significant place for Trevor. Subtle cues, unspoken glances, and the distant expression spoke volumes to him. Despite your happy moments, he sensed your mind occasionally drifting back to Trevor sometimes.
Alex grappled with the awareness that he might be a compromise, a second choice compared to the intensity and history you shared with Trevor. The quiet comparisons became a silent shadow in your relationship, and though Alex tried to provide the love and support you truly deserved, he couldn't erase the lingering presence of Trevor in your heart.
"So who's throwing this party again?" You spoke as Alex drove quietly, music softly playing in the background.
"It's Jack's place," Alex replied, his eyes briefly meeting yours. "Should be a good time. He knows how to throw a good party."
You nodded, looking forward to a night of drinking, work hadn't been so fun and you wanted to have fun with all your friends. The car pulled up to the house, music pulsating from inside. As you stepped out, the loud atmosphere embraced you, drowning out any worries.
Amidst the loud music and the crowd, you and Alex found a space on the makeshift dance floor. The rhythm of the music pulled you closer, and soon, you were dancing together, your movements syncing effortlessly. The worries of the past seemed to fade away in the loud music, leaving only the present moment.
Alex twirled you playfully, a smile on his face, and you couldn't help but giggle. As the song shifted to a slower tempo, Alex pulled you into a gentle sway, the two of you lost in the music and each other.
The party continued around you, but in that moment, it felt like the world had slowed down. Alex's eyes met yours, and a warmth passed between you, the worries and comparisons faded away, leaving only the simplicity of the dance and the contentment of being in each other's company.
Everything was perfect.
Then Alex's gaze shifted behind you and suddenly his eyes hardened and he stopped swaying. You turned around to see the one person who you have spent the last 3 months trying to forget about, smirking as he watched the two of you.
"Trevor?"

paring : Trevor Zegras x fem!reader
summary : (Y/N) helps Trevor deal with Jamie leaving and breaking his ankle all in 24 hours
warning(s) : injury, some angst
author’s note : it’s me. hi. i’m the problem, it’s me
༺═──────────────═༻
She definitely believes in the snowball effect after the last 24 hours of her life. It’s one of the reasons why she’s currently on a flight in the middle of the night to Raleigh to meet her boyfriend’s hockey team at their hotel.
Both her life and Trevor’s life have changed so much in 24 hours. Trevor left with the Ducks for their road trip expecting to have a fun trip. His best friend was finally 21 and could enjoy all that Nashville had to offer.
Then Jamie got the call that no player ever really wants to get from their general manager.
Hours later, he was on a flight to Philly and leaving the Ducks and a distraught Trevor behind in Tennessee.
She should’ve gotten on a plane then and there. Instead, she tempted fate.
The next day was Trevor’s 200th career NHL game, and he had to play it without his best friend on the ice with him. (Y/N) happily watched from their apartment in Anaheim.
Until Trevor went down along the boards after 3 shifts and two minutes total on the ice. She was on her feet as she watched her boyfriend get helped down the tunnel. He wasn’t putting any pressure on his left leg as the trainers helped him.
She blew up his phone with texts and calls until one in the morning California time. He never replied. Then she texted Mason and asked where the Ducks were staying in Raleigh. She booked a flight and asked Mason to get Trevor’s room number when they got there.
Luckily there was a nonstop flight to Raleigh that left from LAX at three that she just barely made. She packed a duffel bag and ran out the door to catch the flight.
After nearly five hours in the air and multiple timezone changes, (Y/N) lands in North Carolina. She left at three in the morning and landed at eleven in the morning. Mason’s text with Trevor’s room number and a he’s cranky comes through as she grabs her duffel from baggage claim.
Honestly, she should’ve gotten on a flight as soon as Trevor told her that Jamie got traded. This is what happens when you tempt fate.
She orders an Uber from the airport to the hotel where Trevor is staying with the Ducks.
Why he traveled with them after getting hurt is beyond her. Maybe it isn’t a long term injury and it’s just a sprain.
Either way, she’s about to find out.
After a ten minute debate with herself, she lightly knocks on Trevor’s door.
It’s a second before the door opens. As soon as it swings open though, her heart breaks at the sight behind it.
Trevor stands on crutches with his ankle wrapped. His eyes are red and puffy and it looks like he hasn’t slept a wink in two days. Honestly, he probably hasn’t.
"Trev," she pouts.
He shakes his head and quickly spins to walk back into the room. She follows him and lets the door shut behind her. "I don't want you here, (Y/N)," he tells her. The voice crack tells her all she needs to know. He does actually need her here.
"I don't care," she replies. "I'm here anyway." Trevor leans the crutches against the middle table and sits on the bed. "You haven't exactly had the best few days so I came to make sure you're okay."
"I'm not fucking okay!" Trevor shouts at her before rubbing his face and running his fingers through his hair to compose himself. "My best friend plays across the damn country now after getting traded out of nowhere and I might have just broken my damn ankle in a milestone game. I'm going to be out for like two months again."
(Y/N) crouches down in front of him and puts her hands on his knees. "I'm sorry, baby," she softly says. "I can't even begin to imagine how you feel right now. I know Jamie's in Philly right now and I know you won't talk to anyone else about how you feel so that's why I'm here. I don't want you to bottle up your feelings."
"It just sucks," Trevor says, voice shaky. "Everything's changing and I don't like it. I'm probably going to have to go to Jamie's and pack his apartment so I can send his stuff to him, especially now that I'm out and won't be able to do anything."
She gets up and sits next to her boyfriend. She grabs one of his hands and holds it on her lap. She rubs the back of her hand with her thumb. Trevor leans over and drops his head to her shoulder. She wraps an arm around his shoulders and plays with his hair.
"I'm here," she whispers. "I don't care if you don't want me here. I'll always be here."
"I know," Trevor replies. "I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm just frustrated and confused and in pain."
(Y/N) kisses his temple and buries her face in his hair. "It's okay," she says. "You're feeling a lot right now so I don't blame you for anything you say right now. Just know that I'll be here the entire time. As for Jamie, you know he's a phone call away whenever you wanna talk to him. He'll answer every single time you call him."
He nods. "Yeah," he mumbles. "Can we lay down until I meet with the doctor?"
"Of course," she replies. "Whatever you wanna do. What time do you meet with the doctor?"
"Three," Trevor tells her as he gets comfortable. Well, as comfortable as he can since he's hurt. "I have to leave at two."
That's enough time for both of them to take a two hour nap.
She sets her alarm for 1:30 then settles in next to him. She wraps a leg around his waist and rests her head on his forehead while he wraps an arm around her shoulders.
"Thank you for coming," Trevor whispers, his voice tired. "You didn't have to."
"I wanted to," she assures him. "Close your eyes for a bit. I'll wake you up when it's time to leave."
He nods and within seconds, his breathing evens out. She smiles and falls asleep herself knowing that Trevor is finally getting some rest.

This party's shit, wish we could dip
Go anywhere but here
Please don't drink more beer
I'ma crawl outta the window now
'Cause I don't like anyone around
Kinda hope you're followin' me out
But this is definitely not my crowd
You used to love this. The parties, the drinking until you made decisions that you would regret in the morning but laugh about later, the meeting a new stranger every night and flirting with no intention of anything real or lasting. But now you hated this. The music was too loud and the people were louder. The heat from bodies cramped together dancing and making out made it hard to breathe.
“It’ll just be us and a couple of the guys.” That’s what Jamie had said and you were fine with that, you were looking forward to it.
Honestly you should’ve known better. You should’ve figured it out when he insisted on taking your car, saying it was more comfortable. Looking back you were mad at yourself for being so naive.
When he pulled up to the house you knew you couldn’t drink even if you wanted to. Someone had to drive home because he wouldn’t be able to, he was never able to be the one who drove home after nights like this. You looked down at the cup in your hand, just water.
You wanted to leave more than anything. You didn’t care where you went you just didn’t want to be at this stupid party. Maybe tonight would be the night that he would want to leave just as much as you did. Maybe he was having a horrible time and wanted to go home and just put on some cheesy movie until you both fell asleep. You needed to find him.
You scanned the crowd from the corner you had decided to stay in, looking for him. You knew exactly where he’d be but a small part of you wanted to believe tonight was different so you still searched everywhere but there. Finally you gave in and looked at where the liquor was. You felt any hope you had of him wanting to leave slip away. There he was, grabbing another beer.
“Jamie, please don’t,” you whispered. “Just put it back down.” You were begging that somehow he would magically hear you.
You knew that you’d never make it over in time to stop him so you were praying that maybe he had just enough sense to stop himself. But he didn’t. Your heart deflated as you watched his lips make contact with the bottle. You had to look away before your heart broke anymore.
You scanned the crowd again. Each new face you looked at was a complete stranger. You needed to leave. You knew none of these people and few that you did know were scattered everywhere, hidden in the sea of people who were all drinking, smoking, and dancing. If you were doing the same you’d probably want to stay. But you weren’t.
Nineteen, but you act twenty-five now
Knees weak, but you talk pretty fly, wow
Ripped jeans and a cup that you just downed
Take me where the music ain't too loud
Trade drinks, but you don't even know her
You tried to think back to when this whole cycle started. It was never like this before, so what was the turning point? You didn’t want to admit that getting drafted was the turning point but if you were being honest with yourself, you knew that’s exactly when everything changed, when he changed. You loved that he was getting to live his dreams but hated that the cost of that was losing himself. He was a kid thrown into a world of screaming fans and constant requests for pictures and autographs and he felt like he had to act a certain way in order to make it.
You were at your limit for the night and you had to leave and get as far away from this party as possible. You let out a deep breath, preparing yourself to push through the crowd. It was now or never.
You entered the crowd. You tried to be soft and polite at the beginning. Saying excuse me and waiting for people to move out of your way on their own. A few people stepped aside and let you pass, but most didn’t, they were too caught up in their own little worlds. The nice way wasn’t going to work.
“Get out of my way,” you yelled repeatedly as you forcefully pushed people out of the way, not caring that they were gross and sweaty. You could hear, “Fuck you” or “What the fuck?”, being yelled in a never ending cycle with the occasional, “Bitch,” to spice things up. You couldn’t have cared less about their words or feelings, all you cared about was getting the hell out of there.
When you made it out of the crowd you could finally breathe again. You raised one hand to your chest as the other ran through your hair and sighed. You looked up and there he was. His back was facing towards you and it was almost like he was permanently attached to the bar where the alcohol was set up.
You walked up to him and softly tapped his arm to get his attention. He turned with the biggest smile on his face. He shouted your name in glee.
“There you are!” He exclaimed and pulled you in for a hug. He reeked of alcohol, it was too much for you to handle, you had to pull away. “I missed you.” He pouted when you looked up at him.
“Yeah I missed you too,” you muttered. You watched as he turned to grab something and turned back with a cup in his hand.
“You wanna drink?” He held his hand out and his words were slurring together. You looked at the cup then back to Jamie’s face.
“I can’t drink anything,” you sighed.
“Why not?”
“Because someone has to drive home,” you were trying your hardest not to snap.
“Right, right,” his eyes glanced down at the cup before he quickly downed it. You wanted to scream. He tried to go back to his beer but you grabbed it from him and placed it out of his reached. “Hey, I wasn’t done with that!”
“Can we please go home?” You asked as you stopped him from trying to get another drink.
You wanted to give him an opportunity to show that he was still somewhat himself again. He said nothing but his eyes looked at something behind you. You watched as Jamie stopped a random girl that was walking by.
“Can I have that?” He pointed at her cup. The girl giggled and nodded before handing it over. “Thanks,” Jamie smirked then winked, his drunk confidence taking over.
Your jaw dropped in disbelief as Jamie went to take a sip of the random drink. This was a new all time low. You raised your hand and smacked the cup out of his grip before he could. You watched as the liquid landed on some poor boy just trying to get a beer. You whispered a small apology. You turned to look at Jamie and saw that he was laughing at what just happened.
He wasn’t himself, he was completely and utterly wasted. You were once again going to have to drag him out of a party. You grabbed Jamie’s elbow and pushed past the girl and pushed through the crowd like you did before, much more forcefully this time.
“I don’t want to leave,” you could hear him whine as you made it outside. You finally stopped at the sidewalk.
“I know you don’t but you have to,” you sighed and turned to him. When you looked at him you could see that he was still adamant about staying. “Jamie please,” you whispered, practically on your knees begging. You watched as his eyes scanned your face for awhile.
“Okay,” he finally agreed.
Save me 'til the party is over
Kiss me in the seat of your Rover
Real sweet, but I wish you were sober
The alcohol hadn’t completely hit yet so he could still somewhat walk on his own, only needing a little bit of help. When you made it to your car you let out a breath of relief. You went to open the passenger door and watched as he stumbled his way towards you.
“Come on let’s get you buckled up,” you helped him climb his way into the car. You felt like a mother taking care of her child right now and you hated it.
“You’re my best friend, you know that right?” He asked as you got him sat.
It was starting. Most nights Jamie would run off at the beginning of the night, completely abandoning you. It was only afterwards that he finally acknowledged you, and tonight was one of those night.
“Yes, I know. You’re my best friend too,” you smiled, trying to just go along with his drunk rambling.
He hummed, feeling satisfied and happy that he was also your best friend. You grabbed the seatbelt and leaned over to buckle it. You felt his lips kiss your cheek. It was sloppy and wet. The first time this happened you felt butterflies and your body felt like it was on fire. Now it was just another one of his drunken habits.
“That was really sweet,” you said as you checked the seatbelt one last time.
When you pulled away to shut the door you saw that he had a big goofy smile on his face.
All of this would mean something if he was sober, and you wished more than anything that he was.
Trip down the road, walking you home
You kiss me at your door
Jamie spent most of the drive talking, you couldn’t understand him half of the time but it kept him occupied so you just let him continue. When you pulled into the driveway you took a moment to prepare yourself.
This part was always hard. The alcohol had caught up with him. He was a mess who could barely walk on his own. Having to help a drunk, 180lbs, hockey player walk to his room never got easier, even if you’ve done it almost 100 times. For now you wanted to just focus on getting him to the front door. You walked over to unbuckle him.
“Okay I’m gonna need your help, okay? You said as you helped him out. “Put your arm over my shoulder,” you instructed. He nodded his head and dramatically threw his arm over your shoulder. You let out one last breath.
Slowly, and wobbly, you made it to the door. You turned your head up at Jamie. His eyes were lidded and he was softly humming to himself. If you hadn’t seen this a million times before you would be laughing and smiling and finding this adorable.
“Lean against that wall so I can unlock the door.” You place him back against the wall and watched as he slid down. You let out a small groan, before unlocking the door. You pushed it open the turned back to Jamie. “Come on let’s get you back up.” You exasperated.
When he was standing up and leaning against the wall again, you took a moment to collect yourself. You leaned your forehead on his shoulder and felt a tear slip out. You gained your composure before going to look at him again. Jamie took this as an opportunity to quickly give you a kiss. Like the kiss on the cheek earlier, it was sloppy and wet but now it was like you could taste every drink he had drank that night. You pulled away quickly and felt another tear fall. You knew that Jamie wanted to say something but you started to move him before he could.
You kicked the door closed with your foot once you were inside. You looked at the stairs, this was always the difficult part. You readjusted Jamie’s arm and your hold on him. You walked to the stairs and stopped.
“Lean against the railing for me, just a little bit,” you ordered.
“Yes ma’am,” Jamie saluted playfully.
“We’re gonna go one step at a time and we’re gonna do it slowly.”
Pullin' me close, beg me, "Stay over"
But I'm over this roller-coaster
I'ma crawl outta the window now
Getting good at saying, "Gotta bounce"
You kicked open his bedroom door and quickly made it over to his bed. You sat him down and took a moment to regain some strength to keep going. Once you felt okay enough to continue you kneeled down in front of him.
“At least take me to dinner first,” he joked. You just scoffed before taking his shoes off. You walked over to his dresser and grabbed a random pair of sweats and a random shirt.
“Put this on.” You tossed him the clothes. You left before you started to undress.
You walked to the kitchen to get water and some medicine for when he woke up. You leaned against the counter and let out a frustrated sob. Tears you had been trying to hold back started to fall. No, you couldn’t cry yet, you had to make sure he was situated. You splashed some cold water on your face and grabbed the pain medicine and water, grabbing extra for Trevor who obviously wasn’t home yet.
When you returned he was sitting on his bed again. You set down the water and medicine on his nightstand before turning to him
“Stay,” he said softly and he grabbed your hand and pulled you to stand in between his legs. He leaned his head against your stomach and your hands went to run through his hair.
This was the part you hated the most. The part where he asks, sometimes begs, you to stay. The part where it feels like he’s completely sober and himself again. But he wasn’t and you couldn’t stay, you never did, no matter how much you want to.
“I can’t,” you whispered. You gently pulled his head away to look at his face. Knowing that when you saw his face you’d be brought back to reality because his face showed that he was still wasted. You sighed and helped him lay down. You could see he wasn’t happy with your response. “I can come over another night, I have a big test that I have to study for. Not all of us can be professional hockey players,” you forced an excuse and simple joke out of your mouth.
“I think you could make it in the big leagues. You always give Trevor and I a run for our money,” he smiled as he settled into his bed. You smiled softly and watched his eyes close.
You always stayed until he fell asleep just to make sure he was okay. When you heard his breathing even out and soft snores you knew you could go. You walked out and quietly shut the door behind you. When you were halfway down the stairs Trevor walked in. You raised an eyebrow at him and crossed your arms.
“Uber, I promise.” He held his hands up, already knowing what you were about to ask. Satisfied with his words you continued.
“I set out some water and meds for you. They’re on the counter,” you said when you reached the bottom of the stairs.
“You’re literally a saint,” he smiled as he hugged you. You softly laughed before pulling away. When Trevor saw your face up close his smile dropped. “Is he…” He trailed off. You looked back towards his room.
“Yeah,” you whispered. “Can you just text me later and tell me how he’s doing?” You walked to the door.
“Yeah,” he whispered.
“Goodnight Trevor,” you smiled as you walked out.
Honestly, you always let me down
When you got in your car you just sat there for a moment. This was exhausting, life draining almost. You leaned your head against your steering wheel and finally let out the sobs and tears you had been holding in.
You couldn’t wait to get home. You couldn’t wait to take a warm shower and wash the night off of you. You couldn’t wait to lay down in bed and sleep for an entire day. And as much as you hated it, you couldn’t wait to see him again.
He would be himself the next you saw him and it would feel like everything was okay.
“I’m never drinking that much again!” Is what he’s going to say and stupidly you’re going to hope that this time is he was being honest.
But deep, deep down you knew he wasn’t. You knew he was going to do this again and again because he always did. He always let you down in the end.

it’s 5am go back to sleep with jack hughes and platonic luke hughes
dating jack and him waking you up on christmas morning super early and you trying to go bakc to sleep and cuddle in bed but him still trying to get you to get up to open presents when luke rushed in jumping on both of them and cuddling with his brother and future sister in law telling them to get up and she gets up for luke almost right away making jack pout the fact his girlfriend favorite is his little brother
Of course! I hope you enjoy it angel!
"Y/N, baby, baby."
"Mhm-phf." you groaned as Jack rolled on top of your small frame.
"It's Christmas, we have to get up, we have to see if Santa came." he spoke in an excited childish tone. You rolled your eyes at his antics, and shuffled out from under him slightly.
"What's the time," you mumbled to yourself, neck craning up to see the red numbers flashing on the 5:00. "Jack Rowden Hughes, it's 5am, go back to sleep!"
"But! It's Christmas! We have to get up and open pres-"
"We can do that."
"YES."
"When it's not 5am."
"AWHH." Jack whined comically.
"Just come here and give me a cuddle for a bit." You opened your arms and with a cute grunt Jack snuggled down into them, arm draping over your waist and head coming to rest in between your boobs.
"That's it, maybe just another hour or so." you whispered stroking your hand through his hair in a vain attempt to sooth his excited self back to sleep.
The attempt was credited vain when the door burst open an in a blur of 6'2 Christmas pyjama clad Hughes, Jack's younger brother Luke flew onto the bed.
"IT'S CHRISTMAS! GET UP WE HAVE TO OPEN PRESENTS!" he screeched, very youngest sibling like. He pulled the covers back and slid in between you two, poking his head up and with a sleep laced smile grinned up at you.
"Good Morning!" He chirped, "can we open presents please?"
"No Luke, it's 5 am go back to sleep!" Jack spoke grouchily.
"Oh Jack, don't be a grouch." you smiled down at Luke fondly. "We can go open presents if you want to Luke!"
"Yes!" he exclaimed, " thanks Y/N," he hugged her, rolled on top of her, out of the bed and took off down the hallway.
You pushed the covers of stood up and slid into your slippers.
"Baby! Are you kidding!" Jack called to you from the bed.
"What? Oh stop pouting!" you told him after seeing his silly facial expression.
"By extension your getting what you want, anyway."

Hope you enjoy!

“are you blushing?” “no, shut up now.”
getting trevor to blush ;)
“pda”
trevor zegras x f!reader
birdie’s 300 celly
on my trevor shit rn
After five months together, you and Trevor had established that neither of you were very into public displays of affection.
He would drop the occasional kiss to your cheek or keep an arm around your waist in public, but you mostly kept your relationship private, even in front of friends. That was just how you were, and that’s why what you were doing was driving him up the wall.
You and him were both a few drinks in, and he was desperately trying to ignore your wandering hands under the table.
He was struggling to keep his mouth shut as your palm grazed over his crotch, and he resorted to covering his mouth in order to not be suspicious.
Trevor knew you were looking at him, your eyes no doubt blown wide and innocent looking, but he knew your true motives, and he knew that if he looked at you, he would lose all self control.
He attempted to make it look like he was actually listening to the conversation Jack and Jamie were having, but your fingers tugging on the belt loops of his jeans made it even harder for him to focus.
“What do you think, Z?” Jack asked, him and Jamie looking at Trevor for an answer to whatever question they had posed.
“Uh,” Trevor said, blinking dumbly. “Whatever you think.”
“Someone’s distracted,” Jack snickered, nodding his head at you.
Trevor’s face heated up. “I’m here man, I’m totally here.”
You pressed a hand to his chest and fumbled with the buttons on his shirt, getting the top two undone and sliding your hand underneath the fabric. Looking up at him with eyes that told him you knew what you were doing, you said, “Are you blushing, baby?”
Jamie snorted, poorly hiding his laugh behind a fake cough. Jack smirked. “Yeah, baby, are you blushing?” he teased.
“No, shut up now,” Trevor defended, but by this point, he gave himself away with his face completely red. He tried so hard to ignore the way his heart was pounding, and the fact that he knew you could feel it.
“Don’t be embarrassed, Trev,” you said, kissing his neck in a way that made him shudder. You kissed him just below his ear and whispered, “It’s not so different from doing it at home.”
“Okay, we’re leaving,” Trevor announced, grabbing your hand and tugging you out of the booth.
You giggled as he pulled you behind him, refusing to look back at his friends. “Bye, boys!” you sang.
Jack whistled. “Have fun, you two.”
“Oh, we will,” you said loudly, causing Trevor to blush even harder as he heard the whoops and cheers from his friends.
“You’re gonna get it when we get home.”

Ride it Baby! | Trevor Zegras & Jack Hughes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: Trevor finally gets a chance to make a move on you but what happens when Jack isn’t far behind?
request: yes/no
warnings: mature scenes, threesome, p in v, oral (m receiving!), handjob (fem & m receiving!), swearing, mild dumbification kink?
word count: 3.73k
authors note: look at me still alive! This request has been staring at me for days and it was about time that it got written out. If you wanna read an actual good threesome series with these two go find the one on @drysdalesv ‘s page! I’ve been writing this for like a week now so I’m glad you all finally get to see it. I picked the Calgary stampede for this cause like: a. it’s men in cowboy hats and b. my dad found his old hat from the 2010 stampede and it’s officially mine when I go home!
Tumblr media
You didn’t know how you got dragged into this.
Cole thought it was a smart idea having the group go to the Calgary Stampede and as Luke’s best friend who was also Canadian, you were immediately Luke’s plus one.
It had been an amusing for the first few days watching the boys embody their best country personalities “morning pretty girl,” Jack smiled tilting his hat towards you.
The middle Hughes boy spent the last two years of knowing you towing the line between being friendly and flirty. After all you were Luke’s best friend and that was what Jack had to repeat to himself whenever he saw you “hi Jacky.” You giggled leaning against the counter as the locks of your freshly curled hair dropped to frame your face.
He reached over to tuck your hair behind your hair pushing your hat backwards “get to see your face now.” The hockey player mumbled pinching your chin between his fingers causing you to smile.
Your cheeks grew warm as your stomach turned into knots “c’mon you two were gonna be late!” Trevor called out as the rest of the boys were already waiting outside to make their way to the venue.
Trevor had to admit that the way you looked like he had walked in on something made him feel jealous. The ducks player had thought you were cute since he met you, Trevor just I never thought that his competition to get you would be Jack “let me fix your hat Z.” You placed your hands on your hips as the boys hat was lob sided.
It made Jack smirk at the clueless look on his friends face “thanks doll,” the nickname fell off Trevor’s tongue as you playfully rolled your eyes “we can’t be late now boys.” You giggled walking off as you wrapped your arm around Luke’s torso.
For both boys it was the constant reminder of one of the reasons why they couldn’t have you.
The day had gone on and it was well into the evening when things started to truly get hot “it’s too hot Lu!” You groaned as you shook your head turning down the boys offer to go talk to some pretty girl.
Luke didn’t want to argue so instead he went alone “you feeling hot baby?” Trevor asked patting his thigh for you to sit as there was no space for you on the bench.
You took the offer of his thigh as you smiled “so hot,” you complained fanning your face.
Trevor smirked wrapping his hand around your waist as he pulled you closer “you look hot,” he mumbled effortlessly flirting with you.
It made you laugh “what are you getting at Zegras?” You asked wriggling your eyebrows as you took the beer from his hand taking a few sips from it in the process.
The hockey player felt his cock grow hard as a drop of beer fell from your lips letting it run down your chin all the way between down between your breasts that were highlighted by the tight white T-shirt you were sporting.
Watching his eyes follow the droplet you smirked “you think I’m hot sweets?” You asked reaching forward to take the hat from his head as you let it fall onto your head. Luke had stolen your hat minutes ago so you know had one back on your head.
Trevor’s jaw tensed as he watched the playful grin form on your face “baby don’t tease me,” he warned squeezing your thigh as you pouted.
Your fingers lightly traced up your arm “you know what this means here?” You pointed to his hat causing him to furrow his eyebrows “means I wanna fuck you,” your lips pressed a kiss against his ear lobe making sure that your words were only heard by him.
That was all it took for Trevor’s mood to change “you better not be fucking with me,” his tone was serious making you clench your legs around his thigh.
The hockey player let out a forced cough drawing the attention of his friends “I’m not feeling well,” Trevor blurted out making you furrow your eyebrows.
He didn’t let his fingers stop tracing figures on your thighs “you want to come home with me?” He asked suddenly helping everything fall into place.
You were quick to nod “I’ll make sure he gets home safe.” You mumbled holding your hand out as you two quickly left before anyone could question you two.
Whilst Alex and Cole didn’t seem to care about what happened as two girls walked over to them, Jack never let his eyes leave you two “I gotta go.” He announced quickly letting himself get excused as he slid out of the table.
Despite the fact that that the walk back to the Airbnb was only five minutes it felt like an eternity.
Trevor’s lips attacked your neck as you tried to unlock the front door “fuck Z,” you moaned struggling to focus as your body melted into his touch.
Your hand shook as you failed to get the key in the hole “c’mon baby, don’t you want me to fuck you?” His voice rang through your ears as he went back to kissing your neck.
When you let out a needy cry he finally gave you a moment to breathe “want you to make me feel so fucking good.” You pleaded finally getting the door open.
You turned back to Trevor who smiled “let’s not waste time then.” He mumbled capturing your lips in a kiss.
It was messy as you could taste the beer on his tongue “jump,” Trevor grunted pushing you inside.
His hands hooked under your thighs as you wrapped your legs around his waist shutting the door behind you both. Your lips against his as his tongue ran over your lower lip.
Wanting to play a harder game you kept your lips shut this time frustrating the boy in the process as he carried you up the stairs.
Trevor let his teeth sink into your lip causing you to moan “that wasn’t so hard now baby?” He asked bringing you into his room.
As your body was thrown onto his bed you were reminded of the fact Jack was his roommate based on the second double bed n the room “if you think he’s gonna come back baby, he won’t.” Trevor seemed to take your look as one of concern.
If only he knew.
You nodded smiling as he came down onto the bed with you “been wanting you out of these little shorts the entire day.” The hockey player confessed letting his hands cup your ass that was barely covered by the denim material.
His comment made your panties turn wet “what are you waiting for then?” You gasped at the feeling of Trevor’s cold fingers gripping at the hem of your shorts.
It should have surprised you when it took him little to no effort to rip the denim where your crotch was “now you can’t be in those for the rest of the week.” Trevor smirked at you as he leaned forward letting his nose hover over yours.
Your lips formed a pout “I liked that pair,” you mumbled causing him to laugh “I’ll buy you a thousand of them if it means I can tear them off of you.” The hockey players confession made you whimper as the boy kissed your lips.
His hips grinded against against yours making him wish that the layers between you two weren’t there.
A groan left your lips “I need you,” you begged driving your hips upwards.
With one hand Trevor hooked his fingers in your panties pulling them down your legs as his other hand had two fingers tapping on your lips “suck.” The hockey player ordered looking at your big eyes.
Traditionally you weren’t that kind of girl in bed but when Trevor said that you had to listen “good girl,” he smirked to himself at the way your mouth took his fingers in.
That as you swirled them in your mouth like you were sucking his cock made Trevor nearly come on the spot “been thinking about this since I met you.” The hockey player confessed thrusting his fingers further into your mouth causing you to groan.
He pulled them out of your mouth when he decided that he had enough letting out a gasp as the saliva trail broke on your shirt “gonna make you feel so good.” Trevor mumbled kissing your lips as his wet fingers teased your clit.
A moan was trapped in your throat when his fingers slid into your core “you’re so fucking wet baby.” The hockey player grunted feeling your pussy clench around his fingers.
All you could do was nod “don’t stop Z,” you whined letting your head drive itself into the mattress beneath you.
Trevor smiled pecking your lips “don’t worry baby.” The grin on his face was clear “won’t leave you here.” When you didn’t respond with anything coherent Trevor realised that you were letting the pleasure get to you causing the boys fingers to increase the speed of their thrusts.
His eyes watched as your pussy swallowed his fingers “enjoying being my greedy little girl?” The ducks player asked sending his fingers into a come here motion “all for you sweets,” you moaned sliding your shirt up as you pulled your bra down letting your tits fall free.
He took the moment to lean forward and take your one breast in his mouth swirling the sensitive nub around with his tongue. You looked down at Trevor and you knew it was all over for you the moment your eyes locked in on his.
Your hand wrapped around the sheet beneath you as your face began to scrunch up “I’m coming fuck!” You chest heaved as your head fell onto his shoulder.
The post orgasmic bliss look formed on your face as his fingers fell out of your pussy “you think you can give me another one?” The boy mumbled hooking his fingers under your chin as he kissed you. Trevor pulled the shirt off his shoulders as he threw it across the room letting it land on Jack’s suitcase.
A smile formed on your face as you followed his actions “I could go all night sweets,” you shot back playfully sticking your tongue out at him as you ignored the way you felt seeing his cock come out of his boxers.
It made Trevor smirk that he knew even when he wasn’t inside of you he still had you forcing your thighs together to stop the buildup of pleasure “my needy girl huh?” Trevor’s words made you whimper as you pulled him down onto the bed.
Anticipation ran through your veins as the boys hands formed a cage around you “I wanna ride you,” the confession fell from your lips as your cheeks turned red.
There wasn’t a lot of effort from Trevor to flip you two over as your clit hit his torso “Trevor,” you moaned rubbing the sensitive nub against his chiseled abs.
Trevor’s hands reached up to grab your hips “no touching,” you shook your head pushing his hands away.
He listened wanting to see what would happen “like it when you listen.” You cooed grabbing his cock to tease your clit a few times before your sank down on his cock.
You rolled your hips against Trevor’s as your nails ran down his chest “so good,” you groaned letting your head fall back as the boys cock throbbed from inside of you.
The pleasure wasn’t enough to distract you from the sound of his bedroom door opening “Jack,” you moaned feeling Trevor’s hands grab at your waist.
Jack stood there with wide eyes as he tried to ignore the way he felt seeing how Trevor stared up at you.
He saw that your eyes hadn’t left the younger boy “you think it’s hot as he watches me fuck you?” Trevor grunted locking eyes with Jack as his hands went around to your ass where he slapped the area of skin.
It made you jump as you whimpered “answer me baby,” the boy warned reminding you what he expected of you.
Jack should have felt dirty as his hand went down under his shorts and boxers as he began to palm his aching cock “makes me feel hot,” you confessed pushing your hair out of your face as Trevor ran your nipples between his fingers.
His effort to tease your sensitive nubs made you whimper “think you should invite him then.” Trevor’s voice was raspy as your pussy clenched around him at the suggestion.
Your eyes didn’t leave Jack as his best friend continued to fuck your pussy “want to suck you off.” You mumbled letting your lips form a pout until Jack walked over to you “take it pretty girl.” Jack’s voice was soft as he leaned down to kiss you letting the grunt fall from his lips as you began palming his cock.
The Ducks player watched feeling jealousy corse through his veins watching Jack smirk into your kiss “oh fuck.” You moaned feeling Trevor’s rough thumb come to your clits attention.
Jack took the opportunity to slide his cock into your mouth “like having us both baby?” Trevor asked not letting his movements on your clit slow down.
All you could do was nod as a muffled cry from your lips was swallowed by Jack’s cock “look at our little cock drunk girl.” Jack cooed as his fingers locked into you hair forcing your throat to accommodate his cock as you tried to not gag.
The scene was hot as both boys seemed to use you for their own pleasure trying to see who could last longer than the other “you’re gonna love this pussy dude.” Trevor grunted as you squeezed his cock.
That was the first time the two had actually addressed each other “so tight like she’s never been fucked before.” He added making you whine as you stared up at Jack who didn’t let his eyes leave you.
It was clear that you were overwhelmed with pleasure when your eyes began to roll back into your head “is that it pretty girl?” Jack asked making you blink at him “are we fucking you dumb?” His second question combined with the way Trevor’s fingers focused on your clit as his cock kept on discovering new parts of your pussy.
Both boys could tell that you were close which made them let out sighs of relief when it meant that they no longer needed to worry about not outlasting you “baby we will be nice and let you come tonight.” Trevor mumbled feeling his cock throb from inside of you.
Jack watched as your face scrunched up “hear that pretty girl, you don’t even have to beg him.” Those words made Trevor regret not holding you back as it seemed to touch a jealous thought in his head making his thrusts speed up like there was no tomorrow.
Your orgasm came quickly as a cry left your lips thighs shaking as Trevor fucked you through your high. That feeling of your pussy suffocating his cock spurred his orgasm on but he tried to not think about it “right there fuck!” Jack groaned with his body sputtering as he shot his load into your mouth.
His hand wrapped around your throat “let me see your tongue pretty girl.” Jack ordered as you listened moaning when Trevor slid his cock out of you “want to see you swallow.” It would have made the middle Hughes boy come all over again as he felt his realise slide down the inside of your throat.
Trevor presence was reminded to you as you got up to feel his come ooze out of your pussy “how do you want me honey?” You asked bringing his lips down to yours.
The Devils player clicked his tongue as he let out a laugh “pretty girl thinks she is in charge now.” His pulled at your waist making you gasp “want your ass in the air.” Within no time Jack had spun you around leaving you to stare at Trevor who had also repositioned himself.
You sent Trevor a smile as you leaned down to kiss him. The soft gesture from you was quickly ruined when Jacks cock ran between your folds “you were so right about this.” Jack grunted thrusting into your pussy as he used Trevor’s come that mixed with yours as lube “been keeping this a secret from us.” He added letting his head fall forward.
The ducks player took the moment to grab your face “enjoying this baby?” He asked taking the moment to be softer to you.
You nodded feeling tears from in your eyes as Jack’s cock was slightly longer than Trevor’s “so much,” you mumbled “so big,” you added surprised that your legs were still stable.
Sounds of skin slapping echoed through the room “you wanna taste it?” Once your eyes fell to his cock that was already growing hard at the sounds of your gasps.
Your head nodded repeatedly until the boy kissed your lips “take it baby.” Trevor leaned back edging his cock closer to your face.
Jack’s fingers dug into your hips making you cry out in pleasure. It gave Trevor the opportunity to push your face down to his cock “little baby behaves so well for us.” Trevor cooed as you gurgled around his cock.
All three of you were still sensitive from your previous orgasms and despite the fact that it was a sensory overload, you still managed to force the boys cock further down your throat. Your lips were swollen from sucking on both boys cocks.
Trevor locked his hand around your hair in this makeshift ponytail as he helped guide you through the motions.
Hearing the pretty little noises fall from your lips made both boys feel content. The mini competition the boys once had to made you come first was now out of the window as they each prioritised their own orgasms.
Between Jack’s harsh snaps of his hips against yours and Trevor forcing more of his cock into your mouth the scene all together was hot.
Jack slipped his hand over your hips as it rested on your clit, fingers drawing circles on the sensitive nub. Your nose hit Trevor’s torso as your eyes shot open in surprise.
It didn’t take Trevor long to pull you off of his cock with his hands cupping your cheeks “so fucking pretty baby.” The boy grunted kissing your lips as your hand replaced what your mouth once did.
The hockey players couldn’t decide what position they preferred more “I’m gonna come!” You groaned having your hand speed up around his cock.
Jack didn’t seem to like that announcement as he shook his head “want to hear you beg for it baby.” He murmured not letting his fingers movements calm down on your clit.
A cry left your lips “please Jack,” you whined feeing his hips hit yours. The boy didn’t let up “I’ll be so good for you both.” You gasped hoping sending Trevor a pleasing look as you hoped he would help you out.
When he remained silent you let your mouth replace your hand having your tongue swirl around his cock as you hoped it would help your cause “give her what she wants J,” Trevor grunted as you tried to suck the life out of him.
The devils player decides to listen as he nodded “go on pretty girl.” Jack slapped your clit causing a long moan to fall from your lips as you came spurring on boys orgasms.
Your body shook when the younger boy’s load shot deep inside of you “there we go baby,” Trevor cooed stopping your head as his orgasm washed over him making sure that not a drop of his release left your mouth.
Jack knew it was fucked up but as he let his soft cock fall from your pussy the devils player couldn’t help but stare at the sight of his brothers best friend all fucked out by none other than Luke’s brother and his friend.
The air in the boys bedroom was warm as Jack placed you on the bed giving you a moment to recover “ayo Trev you gotta see this!” Alex called out as the two oldest boys walked into the house.
Trevor clearly looked annoyed “it’s okay, I got her from here.” Jacks quick interception had the Ducks player roll his eyes “see you later Z.” You mumbled your words softly blinking at him.
When you didn’t dispute what Jack said it irritated the older boy “night baby,” Trevor mumbled kissing your forehead before he quickly got changed “I’ll be down in a sec!” He yelled back downstairs.
This was the first time you were left with Jack and before either one of you could talk your phone went off.
Pookie 🤪: I’m not coming home tonight
Pookie 🤪: this girl thinks I’m a catch??
Pookie 🤪: hope your night is as fun as mine!
A laugh left your lips as flipped your phone around to show the boy his brothers messages “let’s get you in cleaned up then.” Jack proposed picking you up as your were in dire need of a bathe before you let slumber consume you.
The middle Hughes boy set you in the shower to clean you off before he got you into your bed “you okay pretty girl?” Jack asked smiling at the sight of you in his devils training camp shirt.
You nodded letting out a yawn “I’m good honey,” the hockey player pressed a kiss to your forehead watching you nestle your head into your pillow.
Jack sat next to you massaging your cheek with his thumb “I’m gonna let you sleep.” He mumbled seeing that your eyes were growing heavy.
A little thumbs up that you sent him made the boy laugh “tonight was nice,” you announced watching him make his way to your door.
He chewed at the inside of his cheek, Jack wanted you to himself and not as something that he had to share with Trevor.
All Jack knew was that the rest of this week and how the summer played out spending the time with you was going to be interesting.

I Don’t Just Like You - Trevor Zegras x Hughes!Reader
Tumblr media
Hockey Masterlist
Warnings: swearing, tension/fighting, jealousy, Dixie lmao
Words: 2161
Summary: Tension builds with Trevor over his new partnership until the two of you confess your feelings.
A/n: Y'all I am so not doing well rn. I am processing a break up and questioning my social circle and im so lonely that I needed to write some angst to cope with it all. Hope yall like this one and maybe it'll get a smut part two depending on whether or not I can handle writing that rn lol. Enjoy!
Moose: call me ASAP
Me: sorry Luke. can’t rn
Moose: Awesome 😎
My hands quake with anxiety as I fiddle with the tarnished silver ring adorning my pointer finger. The moisture of my skin eases the movement of turning the ring around my finger. I hiss when the gemstone catches on the skin of my middle finger and immediately drop my hands.
Currently, I’m staring down at the risky text I just sent Trevor. About an hour ago he had messaged me:
Trev: hey sorry can’t swing tn after all
Trev: rain check?
My jaw tightens with contempt and I huff out a sigh as my bottom lip trembles. I feel pathetic for just how impacted I am by his every word. I angrily hit the digital keys of my phone’s keyboard as I type my reply.
Me: really?
Me: again??
Trev: don’t be like that
I’m not the most confrontational person. On any given day some might say I’m the furthest thing from confrontational. To put it rather plainly, I just don’t like it. I hate the way I get anxiety butterflies in my stomach. I hate absorbing the emotions of the other person, especially when rejection is involved. I hate what projections I’m opening myself up to receiving from the other person. There are too many pitfalls and not enough landing pads. Which is why it’s so out of character for me to press him on this.
Me: like what Trev?
This is the third time in a row Trevor has cancelled plans on me. I don’t know if he’s aware of that. I don’t even know what he’s been up to lately. He’s refused to tell me what he’s been doing instead, which didn’t raise my suspicions by any means until mom sent me an article. She knows about how my crush on Trevor has had roots in our childhoods.
Trev: you know what I’m talking about
After I stopped playing hockey with my brothers, I was still always around to notice Trevor’s presence in our home. When I moved to California for college, I wanted to chase my music dreams but I didn’t realize it would come at the expense of my support system. Being long distance with my family put me in a hard spot, but having a familiar face to rely on made the adjustment easier. As we spent more time together independent of my brothers, Trevor and I became close friends. The problem was my crush has been growing ever since we became friends, hence why mom sent me an article called, “Did Dixie D’Amelio admit to dating Trevor Zegras?”.
Me: at least say it with your chest
Sent. Delivered. I wait. Trevor’s response bubble appears for a second. It disappears, then reappears, then disappears again. I’m about ready to toss my phone across the room when his message delivers.
Trev: call me
I groan out in frustration and this time actually end up chucking my phone onto my bed. I run my hands through my hair, along the warm expanse of my scalp. A self-soothing gesture by all means. I pace to one side of my room before using the momentum of my steps to start back towards my phone. Just as I have it in my hand, Trevor’s contact picture covers the screen and illuminates in my grasp. I scoff out a sort of half groan and then answer.
“What, Trevor?”
“Hey, Y/n I’m great. Thanks for asking! How are you?” He responds sardonically to my cold greeting. I bite my tongue, torn between tearing into him and the stronger desire to laugh through my rage. He takes my exhale as a cue to continue. “What’s going on, Hughesy?”
In a single moment, my anger dissolves. The tenderness of that nickname, which was once reserved solely for my brothers, now belongs to me. In this moment, I find myself thinking about how grateful I am that Trevor was there for me as I transitioned into college. But the looming threat of a smile quickly vanishes as I remember how that care is nullified by Trevor’s abundantly active dating life.
“Y/nnnn?” Trevor hums into the phone.
“What?” I respond dryly.
“What’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong is you cancelling on me for the third time in a row.”
“Is it really the third time in a row?” He asks under his breath, indicating he may not have intended to say it out loud at all. I roll my eyes, still actively fighting the urge to just lay into him.
“Yes, Trevor, it is!” I can practically hear him wince through the phone at the fact that I’m calling him Trevor instead of the default nickname permanently programmed into my phone.
“Who’s that?” I hear softly over the phone. My heart flutters like a coal mine parakeet in a cage and I bite my lip, willing myself not to cry if it turns out Dixie is on the other side. Trevor whispers back,
“It’s Y/n.”
“Hey, Y/n!” Mason’s on the other end.
“Not a good time,” Trevor tells him. Mason curses and then apologizes before retreating from Trevor’s general area. “Sorry, you were saying?” Trevor tells me at regular volume.
“You were cancelling on me again.”
“Oh. Right. I…” he switches the phone to the other ear, “I…don’t know what you want me to say.” Hello?! Could he be any more oblivious?!
“I want you to tell me what is going on!” I whine into the phone, “What is it you’re so busy with doing that you can’t see me for a week, huh? I get that you’re a professional athlete and you have a busy schedule. But I know your schedule and I know you still have a decent amount of free time. So what have you been doing?” Trevor breathes, in, then out and says,
“I’ve been seeing someone lately…” I feel my heart shatter into the tiniest fractals of what it once was and I cover my mouth to choke back the growing lump in my throat.
“I can’t do this right now,” I say with the utmost hurt lacing my voice, pulling the phone away from my ear to abruptly hang up on Trevor. I toss my phone on my bed once more, ignoring how the screen lights up with Trevor’s contact picture. It’s a new breed of psychological torture to sit here and ignore the calls, so I leave my phone in my bedroom as I go to splash cold water on my face.
When I reenter my bedroom, I ignore the buzzing device to put on a comfortable pair of pajamas. He’s called once, twice, a fourth, and a fifth before finally giving up. Despite my phone being silent, I don’t trust it enough to take it with me and leave it to charge on my bed. I settle on the couch to open my new pint of Ben and Jerry’s, putting on my favorite show in the hopes of laughing through the pain.
Somewhere between first and second episode, I had dozed off after returning the ice cream to the freezer. I’m not sure what it is about crying that knocks me on my ass like that, all I know is that it works.
I’m abruptly pulled from my sleep when I hear the harsh banging on my front door. I jump up from the couch, the spike in adrenaline carrying me out of my sleepy haze. When I get to the front door, some of the tiredness catches up with me again and I groggily open the front door. Behind it stands Trevor, with sad puppy eyes and a sheepish expression. I can’t help the scowl that comes to rest on my face when I see him, but he doesn’t falter. Instead, he pushes past me to come into the apartment and sits on the couch expectantly. Since there’s no way to physically remove him from my space, I bargain, sitting down on the opposite end of the couch, as far from Trevor as I can manage. He doesn’t let the cold gesture phase him, and scooches obliviously into the center of the couch.
“What’s going on Hughsey?” I scoff at the nickname and Trevor cringes in frustration. “What is this?”
“I don’t know what you’re referring to.”
“Why are you icing me out all of a sudden?”
“Don’t you have somewhere to be?” I ask, spiteful, with malice.
“Clearly not since I’m here spending time with you.”
“Was that so hard for you to do? I mean, with your busy schedule and all?”
“What are you-” Trevor pauses for a split second. “Wait, are you… jealous? Y/n?”
I want to protest. I want to scream and rant and bite back, how he could be so conceited to think I’d be jealous of a relationship that I previously thought was rumored? But I can’t.
Because he’s right.
I bite my tongue. There’s nothing else I can do. Not unless I want to make an even bigger fool of myself than I already have.
“Oh my god, that’s totally it. You’re jealous.” Trevor says, complete with a laugh and a sigh. The shame of actually being jealous of a girl I’ve never met, the disappointment of finding out Trevor is dating someone, and the exhaustion from already having cried earlier comes collapsing down on me at once. Hot tears well on the lining of my lashes and I stare at the ground, afraid to draw attention to myself. Upon seeing me cry, Trevor’s smile immediately vanishes and he scoots closer once more.
“Hey, shhh, it’s okay.” He envelops me in a hug that I’m too overwhelmed to reciprocate. “I didn’t mean to upset you. I’m sorry.”
I merely shake my head, unaware of what I could even say in this moment.
“I was… I was just laughing ‘cause I should’ve known.”
“Should’ve known what?”
“That you’d be jealous.” I wriggle out of the hug and look at Trevor sincerely.
“How would you have known?”
“You know, for as long as I can remember, your brothers have talked about you having a crush on me.” I cower in humiliation, my face glowing hotter than the surface of the sun.
“I wish they wouldn’t have.”
“No?” Trevor asks, genuinely.
“It’s embarrassing,” I confess, fully recoiling from the physical contact he had initiated before.
“It’s cute.” Trevor earnestly admits as he takes my hand in his. I scoff instinctively but don’t pull my hand away again.
“I don’t need your pity, Trev.” I say so softly he nearly misses the sentiment. Once he processes my worlds, I feel him physically relax next to me at the sound of his familiar nickname.
“Well, what do you need? I’m here now.”
“I honestly don’t know.” I finally dare to meet his eyes. He’s looking at me so sweetly, earnestly. As if I hadn’t just chewed him out two minutes earlier. Then, I look away before I can say what I’m about to say next. “I don’t just like you.” Trevor’s face lifts ever so slightly. The extent of which, one might miss had they not known him a lifetime the way I have.
“You know… the only reason I started seeing her was to get over you.”
“What?” I ask, sharply whipping my head to stare at Trevor, as if awaiting the reveal that this was just some elaborate prank from the start.
“Yeah. I started dating Dixie because I thought dating someone different would distract me. You know, it’s not a good look to have a crush on your best friend’s little sister.”
My heartrate picks up with his confession. This feels too good to be true. As if real life is waiting for us right outside the front door. The real life that doesn’t see me and Trevor together ever in our lifetimes. Terrified of the change that would occur from letting him walk away, I reach up and hold his face in my hands, kissing him passionately. Trevor wraps his hand around my wrist and kisses me back with twice as much fervor.
We break apart, out of breath and full of smiles. Trevor looks at me for guidance and we fizzle into a nervous laughter. I reach up and brush my thumb tenderly across his cheekbone. He grabs my hand and turns his head, placing a sweet kiss on my palm. I then reach up and break the moment by ruffling my hand through his hair to mess it up.
“Hey!” He yells, grabbing waist to dig his hands into my sides. I screech with laughter as I try to escape. Trevor eventually yields and slips his hands from my sides to interlace with one another and pull me closer. I scoot in to sit against him, sitting half on top of him as our breathing falls in sync.
“I don’t just like you, too, Hughesy.” I smile.
“...You should probably call Dixie.”
“Oh shit.”
