being diagnosed agoraphobic really sucks. i have so many dog events i want to attend, classes, etc. and i really feel they would "kick start" me being able to do stuff again, but leaving my house? hah!

oof, I am not so good at being aware of and respecting my body’s limits. But thanks to cub scout and dad that I met on the trail for allowing me to realize how colossally dumb I was being

#the number one rule of hiking is don't go alone #the number two rule of hiking is tell someone where you're going #(especially important if you ignored rule 1)#adjacent to that rule is the rule of "make a plan of where you're going'#&/or make a record of where you've been if there are no trail markers #the third rule of hiking is to BRING WATER and also supplies/snacks #the optional but highly recommended rule of hiking is not to wear denim #so i broke all the rules today (dumb dumb DUMB of me!!!)#in my defense i didn't expect this to be a full on trail with splits and switchbacks #i was expecting a nature walk along the water #but yeah. did not realize how very easy it is to become a cautionary tale #(if i had actually gotten in peril it's not that hard for someone to find me—i'm not on the appalachian trail or anything)#(and there are not major predators capable of harming me in the area)#but my own body is capable of things like giving me migraines or (theoretically) making me pass out if i ignore caloric needs #so. um. cub scout and dad did me a bigger favor than they knew by being smart and taking pictures of forks in the trail #but on the bright side i recognized my own mortality and learned about a lot of new plants?
