(Vol. 41: The Little Giant Vs..., Chapter 361: The View from the Top: Part 2)
as i've been approaching the end of my degree—and my time with my uni's volleyball club—i've been feeling less enthusiastic about playing volleyball...but i don't want to lose this! i can't!! i think i need to get, as kenma calls it, "shoyo-itis". (also, another group of people who i love training and playing with)

btw Tokita, Shoji, and Yaotome's first names haven't been mentioned within canon, as far as I know. I came up with my own for them with the help of Nazuke Pon. It's a really useful site for Japanese names! I've put some of the meanings of the characters below:
Tokita Shizuka (時田静火)
静: Quiet. No sound. No movement. Calm.
火: Fire. Flames.
Shoji Riku (庄子陸)
陸: Land. A land of undulating hills and mountains. A land that is not covered with water.
Yaotome Tohri (八乙女純利)
純: Pure. Unpretentious. To be in one's natural state. Raw silk.
利: Sharp. Smart. Wise. Good at work. Good. Useful. (blade) sharp. To be sharp. To say things.
Some of the Karasuno team (mostly Nishinoya, Tanaka, and Hinata) call Yaotome "Tori", the word for "bird" in Japanese. It's because Nishinoya accidentally called him that once, since "Tori" sounds similar to "Tohri". Because the nickname fits the team's image and Yaotome himself, it stuck.

Rules: Just put 3-5 fics that you've enjoyed. the more recent the better, but that's not a hard and fast rule.
Thanks @christian-latte-anon for the tag!
"love, and how vast": A PacRim fic about the Wei Triplets' relationship from their births to the end of their lives. I've read this twice and felt like crying both times. Poetic prose with amazing imagery.
"Tanaka's Tactics": A Haikyū!! fic in which Tanaka tries to teach Tsukishima and Yamaguchi how to intimidate their opponents. Very funny; I laughed out loud a lot.
"the world can't keep us down": A Haikyū!! fic in which the Miya twins have a phone call with each other on their birthday. Sibling feels. (Heads-up: some swearing in this; spoilers for content after where the anime left off.)
(Since the original tag that @christian-latte-anon was sent was about self-reccing, here's my AO3 :) I have 3 fics (all PacRim) published there and am proud of them all!)
Tagging @artsy-dreamer

Do you have any thoughts about the triplets?
Hu 虎
Oldest
More serious than the other two
It gets on his nerves when he thinks someone is slacking
Intense, competitive. He likes to pick fights/compete with those he considers "outside his group"
Takes more time for him to warm up to others compared to Jin and Cheung
Cheung 祥
Lots of energy all the time
Always very loud. Except when fighting. He becomes quieter then because he's really focusing.
It gets on his nerves when he thinks someone is giving into fear. Though he has a natural instinct to wants to help that person, he can come off as aggressive
Isn't particularly concerned about rank. He has a tendency to forget about it, especially in moments of intense emotion
Quick-tempered
Likes trying new things
Really big eater
People are especially surprised if Wei Tang Cheung shows fear because of how bold he seems
Jin 龍
Youngest
Less loud than Cheung, but more loud than Hu
Similar to Hu, he likes to pick fights/compete with those he considers "outside his group", but feels uncomfortable with infighting
Likes to help others as much as he can, especially his juniors
Has a big heart and wears it on his sleeve. When he thinks someone is cool, he makes it known
Particularly respectful to those senior to him
I have to admit something. These ideas are essentially me superimposing the personalities of three Haikyuu characters onto the triplets. I did this when I wanted to include the Weis in my Mandarin writing practice.
But the thing is, I think it works quite well!
The three Haikyuu characters are Yamamoto, Nishinoya, and Tanaka. Yamamoto's given name contains the character of Hu's name, 虎, meaning 'tiger'; Tanaka's given name contains the character of Jin's name, 龍, meaning 'dragon'. All three of them give off delinquent vibes, and the Weis used to be street fighters. Some characters joke about how Yamamoto and Tanaka are like the same person, or at least relatives. Tanaka and Nishinoya are best buds.
So, it just works too well for me to ignore, tbh xD
