okay ANOTHER i cant help myself but im knocking at the door of hal & torben "curious are the gods" and im only a little scared of what might be behind there

[WIP Title Game] — "Curious are the Gods" OH that one is erres and torben actually but uh... what if i did write a hal and torben thing (ive been meaning to) anyways this one is actually a really cute little ficlet/drabble im excited to finish it

“Talk to him, you mean?” Erres laughs like he had just been asked to talk to a barn cat. Torben opens his eyes just to roll them, and looks on.

“I can’t promise he’ll listen.” The ‘to you’ is tastefully implied. “God,” Erres begins aloud, “I ask that you bestow your protection upon Torben tomorrow when I beat him into—”

“You’re horrible,” Torben says, knocking his knee into Erres’.

“What does he want in return, anyways?”

“I don’t know. Devotion. Love.”
