So many good decisions.” - Teju Cole The Quickening details the claustrophobia, myopia, paradoxical loneliness and luminance of new motherhood and the postpartum period. Riso and offset printed, this uniquely handmade book was published in a limited first edition of 250 copies, redolent of the number of days of gestation before the premature birth of the author’s son. Additionally, 30 copies from a special edition each come with a choice of one of two prints. This number is indicative of the number of days left until the child’s due date. Created as an editioned art book, each copy is signed and numbered. A variety of papers were used to reflect a haptic complexity in addition to a soft french fold that feels full and fleshy in the hands. A chaotic and varying bind with red string is a nod to the stitches used during the emergency caesarean birth of the child and no book is precisely the same. Oblíbený Den otevřených dveří s prohlídkami pro veřejnost chystá v úterý 8. září pražské Švandovo divadlo. Divadlem a jeho zákulisím provedou zájemce například herečky Bohdana Pavlíková, Natálie Řehořová, Marie Štípková, herec Oskar Hes a další členky a členové hereckého souboru. Ti se spolu s návštěvníky tentokrát vydají i po stopách odcizené věci, která ke smíchovské scéně dlouhá léta neodmyslitelně patřila. Součástí prohlídkového okruhu bude tak místo činu z krimi dramatu Lady Macbeth z Újezdu. Dobový příběh o lásce a zabíjení z Prahy konce 19. století měl ve Švandově divadle premiéru letos na jaře a v září se na program vrací.

  Prohlídky ozvláštněné soutěží pojednané v duchu detektivního pátrání začínají od 14 hodin v každou celou hodinu a potrvají až do 19 hodin. Vstup je zdarma a rezervace předem není nutná. Nahlédnout bude možné například na jeviště Velkého sálu, do hereckých šaten, maskérny, skladu garderoby, prostoru za scénou a do dalších zajímavých, divákům za běžného provozu jinak uzavřených míst. Po celý den bude otevřena také divadelní kavárna.

  Pro návštěvníky budou připraveny slevové akce na vstupenky vybraných inscenací (1 + 1 zdarma), soutěže o ceny a krátká ukázka toho, jak vzniká zločin na jevišti. V prodeji budou divadelní suvenýry a další drobné dárky. Zapsat se bude možné také na workshopy: prakticky vedené kurzy zaměřené na výuku herectví, pohybu, rétoriky, fotografie, scénografie a dalších uměleckých disciplín nabídnou zájemcům poslední volná místa.

A rozhodně se vyplatí počkat i na samotný závěr Dne otevřených dveří, který ve 20 hodin završí malé hudební matiné před budovou divadla. Vystoupí na něm skupina Alotrio, jehož členkou je i herečka a také zpěvačka Natálie Řehořová, představitelka hlavní ženské role dramatu Lady Macbeth z Újezdu. Program bude moderovat její kolegyně Marie Štípková, která v téže inscenaci hraje služku Annu.

  Ve večerních hodinách se veřejnosti poprvé představí i zbrusu nové fotografie hereckého soboru, které vznikly letos v červnu v bývalé vysočanské pekárně. Jejich autorem je Tomáš Vrana, jehož předchozí kolekce – vytvořená rovněž ve spolupráci s s herečkami a herci Švandova divadla – získala hned dvě významná mezinárodní ocenění. Po čestném uznání v Tokyo International Photo Awards 2019 byly Vranovy fascinující herecké portréty zařazeny i na prestižní shortlist v soutěži Sony World Photography Awards 2020, což je, jak uvádí Vrana, „ve světě fotografie tak trochu něco jako nominace na Oscara“.

  „Moje fotografie vždy odrážejí rozpor mezi pořádkem a nepořádkem jak ve světě předmětů, tak v mysli těch, které moje snímky zachycují,“ uvádí Tomáš Vrana. Jeho nové snímky inspirované tituly, jenž se Smíchově chystají v této sezóně uvést, uvidí přihlížející na obrazovkách umístěných na fasádě divadelní budovy.
