i get that the tgcf donghua had to make a lot of design changes bc GOD knows the manhua style (while gorgeous) would be hell to animate BUT to this day the most grievous offense is ke mo. like i watched the first season before i started the novels so when i first saw him i was like oh cool design he’s so tall and ghosty. and then i saw his manhua design. and i had to take a lap. all my respect to the donghua but these are not the same person

Okay so me and @katthekatt are on a call and the dumbest but also greatest headcanon came to mind
We started with me ranting and raving about how to draw Mayday's hand holding an energon cube, then moving on to MTMTE having actual glasses and not cubes, before landing on this (here us out):
Legal drinking age for cybertronians.
We had this thought of like, constructed cold individuals vs. naturally forged individuals and that led to a conversation about forged individuals "growing up" while constructed cold individuals are at the stage where they don't really have to do that in the same manner.
So, constructed cold individuals, even right after they're forged, are able to drink. Without any legal intervention.
Nat-forged individuals though? There's limits. First some kind of age limit (at least 1000 years) and then having to take a maturity test. If they fail? They have to wait another century or so before retrying the test. Once they pass, they can't lose it, but they can absolutely get the equivalent of being carded.
Like, they have to show that they passed the maturity test to prove that they can be responsible, they just choose to not act like it.

Not only with the cameras, but also the shading on the characters and background gradient
Specifically when the bars try to close and when the world tears itself apart. Super vibrant there. I have two more pictures with the gradient and showing the character lighting being red, but you get the idea right?
Clearly the color shift signifies our yellow Android no longer being in control, but why red?

Had an arduous afternoon I think I deserve to make myself a little baked good for fun and to cope
#spent an hour walking to and from the library in the heat and humidity in the hope they would have my book on the hold shelf while I walked#they did not perform a miracle so I have to wait til Monday#but I wore new shoes and got a blister on top of my toe and I’ve had a headache all day#so I took a lukewarm shower bc I was so so so sweaty (I live in FL)#and I think I deserve a baked good bc I love cooking#I haven’t decided between pumpkin pound cake or key lime pie or key lime bars maybe?#I have refrigerated pie crust but idk if I feel like a berry pie today#so I’d have to make a graham cracker crust which is not my favorite activity#but that’s a refreshing summer treat OR I have been on and off craving pumpkin so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Though he was not the best renditioned when it came to properly relaying tales...he was quite the distraction for a more drunken and tone-deaf audience. Even more so when that audience was goblins waiting for wyvern poison laced ale to take effect.
"And the braggart did swagger and brandish 'is blade as he told of bold battles and gold that he madeeee-?"
Doesn't help the lute he'd found among some corpses along the road is half smashed and bent just enough at the neck that any performance skill would grant one the favor of no higher than a '2' on any god's approval. It made the music akin to a voice cracking every few strums.
"But then he went quiet, did Ragnar the Red, when he met the Shieldmaiden - Matilda who said... 'oh you talk and you lie and you drink all our mead! Now I think 'is high time that you lie down and bleed." Despite the grating notes of the lute and the more speak-tone he took to mindlessly recounting memorized verses, the goblins in attendance seemed excited by the prospect of violence, even if it was only ballad-bound.
"-and so then came the clashing and slashing of steel as the brave lass Matilda charged in full of zeeeal? And the braggart named Ragnar was boastful no more...when his ugly red head rolled around on the floor-" The last strum was the ugliest record scratch yet, but thankfully judging on the stumbling goblins...the audience would be dead silent before they asked an encore.
