I think he shouldn’t just use 1 one of the regional pokemon of his type, especially when there are plenty of grass types in this dex. Sunflora is literally the pokemon I associate him with because of his statues. Toadscruel and Scovillain are regional grass types introduced in this region.

I’m not saying he can’t have Tsareena and Breloom as an option because he clearly used them at least once. But I disagree and it’s my page, sue me Pokemon

Started playing Pokemon Violet a few weeks back. I'm ready to write a review. ***SPOILERS***

First of all, there are no boy/girl characters. You get a basic nonbinary character that you design to be whatever gender you want. I made mine a boy-ish looking person with a Kim Jong-Un haircut. I picked the duck with the JFK haircut who has since turned into a fancy salsa dancing peacock.

My favorite pokemon so far is scovillain, who looks like a two-headed pepper plant with a comedy/tragedy face mask theme. It's only a second evolution fire/grass type, and I wonder if they will give it a third evolution in future games, maybe giving it dragon type moves, as it looks vaguely like a dragon. I also have the final evolution of smolliv, which mostly just learns grass type moves but is really strong. -And once again, my eevee randomly evolved into a sylveon. I've yet to get espeon or umbreon through high friendship.

When you battle a Team Star boss, they show up in a tricked-out car that turns out to be a pokemon. I shouldn't be surprised, as there are motorcycle looking pokemon. Then there's that Arven guy who helps you fight titans to give your ride pokemon miraidon special abilities. He looks like he cut his own hair. -Not just that, but he has a pouty look, as if people roast him for cutting his own hair, and he doesn't take it well. -Like srsly bro, how do you fuck your own shit up that badly? You should be on one of those wolf-cut fail TikToks.

It's a pretty good game. I'm very confused by the map and have yet to get used to it. The layout is huge. I don't like it as much as Legends: Arceus, but I'll stick with it.

I have so many pokemon on my team in Scarlet that I swap out so often, like legit i have a bit over half a box full

And honestly i feel like that's the most fun way for me to play. Just have a big group of Pokemon that's roughly about 3x the size of a normal party that i somehow keep up with their levels because it's super easy to get overleveled in the game otherwise

How to safely harvest a toedscool

For some people, the harvesting of pokemon for food is controversial, but the flaps around the bodies of the toedscool line have been safely harvested by Paldeans for years, and if done in the correct manner, is a painless process.

These flaps can naturally fall off, but the jagged edges can scar over and become tough, and the piece can become lost or eaten by another pokemon before it can be located. So it's now common practice to harvest them directly. These flaps regrow after a few weeks.

First and most important step is to properly examine the toedscool. The flaps themselves have no nerves, but the rest of the body does. Carefully and gently squeeze along the flap until the pokemon reacts. Using a piece of charcoal, mark this point and do not harvest above it. Check each flap individually, just to make sure some don't have more nerves than others.

Make sure the knife you use is very sharp. Sharp cuts heal over quicker and provide higher quality product. Sterilize it over a flame and let it cool for a few minutes before use.

Though toedscrool who are used to the procedure can be trusted to hold still, if it is its first time being harvested it is safer to paralyze it with another pokemon rather than use spore. While paralyzed, a pokemon can still twitch or react, warning you if you're too close to the main body.

Trip the flap swiftly and decisively, as a sawing motion may cause a jagged cut. Practice on normal mushrooms before doing it properly to ensure you grasp the proper procedure.

Once harvested, spray the edges down with a potion. This encourages fast regrowth and prevents infections.

Cure the paralysis and provide a high value treat item and praise.

If your hand slips and you accidently cut into the body of the toedscool, do not panic. Stop what you're doing immediately and take it to a pokemon centre. Pokemon are pretty good at reading body language, and they tend to pick up on "oh arceus I didn't mean to do that I'm so sorry!", so don't beat yourself up too hard, but its still only fair to spoil your pokemon a bit afterwards.

Whether or not you use toedscool or the larger toedscruel is up to you. Toedscruel are larger and provide much more, but it is also tougher with a stronger flavour. Most of the toedscool mushrooms you find in markets are from toedscruel. Toedscool, on the other hand, has a more delicate, nutty flavour, but provides comparatively little. This increases the price.

These are traditionally eaten pickled, but are also very good diced up small and lightly sautéed.

Many people who keep a toadscool or toadscruel for food will only trim what they need for dinner and leave the rest until they need it next. With the larger ones, this can mean by the time you've gone around the body, the first one to be harvested has regrown completely.

For those worried about the ethical side of this, I saw a toedscruel being harvested in a little artisanal farm when I went on holiday in Paldea and if anything it looked bored during the entire thing, before wandering off once it was done and helping itself to a farmhands sandwich.

I did some art a while back of Roisin and Rhona dressed up as Amoongus and Shiinotic respectively because ThEy'Re TwInS and the mushroom theme makes them matchy-matchy :v (though now I'd want to have Rune dressed Toadscruel to keep the theme, sorry Richard you're snubbed again I'm sorry my son ;m;)

As for Ma and Pa... maybe Froslass and Aegislash? Is that too obvious? I need to give it some thought, and Hallowe'en isn't far away... 🤔

Actually there’s a lot of focus on food this generation. Sandwiches, restaurants, one of the gym leaders is a seafood chef, ham and prosciutto are mentioned by name.. a lot of Pokémon get eaten
