(@ask-the-shiny-pokemons) While exploring the Keepers universe, Edin has some eyes on Silas(?) as he proceed with caution because he might be careful of tricks.

"Hey...? You're Silas, right? I'm Noelle's friend. Where's your friends? Family? I mean besides her of course..."

Nervously the fox began to turn around fearing for the worst... She hadn't caught him already, right? He just got out here she couldn't have noticed yet? Oh... oh no. Who is that-?!

The tiny fox let out a shrill shriek of terror upon seeing Edin.

Oh... seems you've scared the little fox.

After a moment of franticly looking around for somewhere to hide and seeing absolutely nothing he resorted to cowering in fear under his paws. The poor pup was shaking, his tail was tucked in a feeble attempt to hide himself under it... though his lack of a tail seemed to prevent this.

...This very obviously wasn't the same Silas you knew, not the one from the past or the future. He was much more timid, skittish and scared.

Something seemed to catch his attention, however... Did they just say his name...? Not the name everyone called him, his actual name. Out of curiosity he finally peeked an eye out from under his paw.

He seemed to be speaking oddly... something familiar but not quite. But it was clear it was neither Pokemon nor Human. He continued talking completely unaware of the language difference.

Whatever he was saying... you could only make out a few words. Even as he continued to ramble on all you could understand was the occasional sad repeating of, "Silas?", "Ma?" and "Noe?"

Rue: Having been out here previously, she looked over at the sounds of Silas struggling to squeeze through the hole in the fence. Given the noise he made upon pulling free, she hoped he didn't hurt himself...

She approached to speak, but not too close. "Are you alright? It didn't hurt to force yourself through there, did it?"

Silas perked up at the sight of a Vulpix, a fellow fox? And a hybrid? Maybe they were a local from the area? Nonetheless, he looked excited to see her. So much so that he appeared to be completely enamoured with the color of her fur.

"It is warm and nice," He happily sat up from his previous position, it seemed as if he almost wanted to wander over to greet her but he kept the distance between them. "You remind me of Winter. He is the oldest, he takes care of us when we are hurt. I think he would like you a lot, he said he used to have many tails, much like you. Then he misbehaved a lot... now he only has one." He gave a sudden head tilt puzzled by her height, were Vulpix normally this small? Even he was a good amount taller than Rue and he was considered the smallest Pokemon on his team. "Urr. But... You are much smaller than him."

"That is why I got stuck... I dug that... A very, very long time ago." The fox's ears flattened further when his mind drifted back to the idea of evolution, he'd been avoiding it for years now. He had passed that evolution level a while ago, hadn't he? "I do not want to evolve but..."

"I know the word in Pokemon but I cannot say it very well." He muttered, putting his paws down. "Mother wants me to evolve so she took it... but I do not want to..."

"I cannot stop it." He sighed before looking away, he seemed sad once again. Thankfully, he was much more comfortable around Rue than he was the previous Pokemon. "Sorry... I am talking alot. It just means I can not get out of the fence very well anymore. It did not hurt... I would not have noticed anyway. A few scratches... is nothing... Mother does worse."

(dichloro approaches lune slowly, though still keeping outside the circle.) you seem really protective of this kid.. what makes you care about him so much? especially since you seem so hostile to everyone else.

"I don't care about the kid okay..." He said quite bluntly. "I just..." Silas seemed suddenly lost for words, his ears drooped further as he searched for an explanation. "It's just..."

"When Lune says something... he's just being honest with me. Sure it might really hurt in the moment... but at least I know he's not judging me without a good fuckin' reason." "But everyone else? Everyone else always assumes the worst of me. What else am I supposed to do...? I already proved that they should, there ain't no going back now. " He sighed before turning away. "I- ...Look it doesn't matter alright? Right now I have other shit I should be doing."

"I'm tired of it and his life matters more right now... that kids familiar can only do so much. If he was a human... he would have healed by now. But... that's my fault too. Just like everything around this fuckin' place." He huffed, he didn't have time to linger on this any longer. "I gotta go." As it did a moment ago Silas' illusion began to appear, this time with an intention. His familiar features were quick to shift into something more basic and feral.

And just as it appeared the illusion flashed a grin.

"Do me a favour alright~? Don't touch Lune."

Silas pulled his hand away in response, he wasn't expecting rebellion towards his threats, especially one he said with such confidence. The sudden physical contact made him cringe, despite his face being hidden his body language made it obvious he felt discomfort at being touched. He didn't like that, not one bit, her lack of fear was unnerving and the sinister grin she gave made his skin crawl. It felt like the power and advantage he had over her was suddenly pulled out from underneath him. He didn't have control over the situation anymore and that terrified him.

As she leered back everything in his body was screaming at him to run, yet just as before when faced with something much scarier than himself he froze like a deer in headlights. He didn't know how to react, he didn't know what to do and he was so confused by the situation he didn't even realize the unexpected stinging pain that was quickly starting to dig into his fur. It was only when he felt his mask finally beginning to slip that his panic and self-preservation finally kicked in.

"Please stop-!" Silas yelped out in fear, his claws were franticly clawing at the vines but he did little damage to them. It was like all his efforts to escape meant nothing to her, he felt so helpless and scared. Of course, he would die this way, a victim to his own stupidity. His breathing quickly spiralled out of control as he felt the vines begin to tighten, he didn't like this. It all felt so sickeningly familiar to him, the pressure around his neck, the way he gasped for air and panicked, it was all much too close to something from his past. This had happened before? Hadn't it? This was something he was acquainted with, something he knew well. She always did this to him, just another punishment on the long list.

And for some reason, everything in his mind couldn't stop him from melting back into those moments. She was here again, wasn't she? Back from the grave to torment him? Despite everything he knew, every logical thought denying her existence in the present he couldn't shake the thought. In one last ditch effort to ease his anxiety, he opened his eyes... But that only gave him a passing glance of a face he knew well.

Lady Ombre was truly gone, her words falling on deaf ears as she lectured the fox. All that replaced her was the terrifying memory of a ghost here to hurt him once more.

Silas franticly kicked and squirmed in the air, his tiny paws were desperately attempting to tear at the magical energy around his neck. Seance merely looked on in annoyance.

"What are you good for if not? You really don't know how to do anything, do you?" Seance scoffed, her magic was slowly tightening around the fox's neck more. Her grip easily constricted his airway. "I asked you to kill... one person." She held a singular claw up as the tiny Giratina spirit drifted around her, "But you couldn't even do that little fox, could you?" "Why do I even ask you to do things, what are you worried they're going to hurt you?" She laughed as Silas struggled. "You should be more scared of me than some stranger, did you not learn what happens when you don't listen? Was the tail not enough? Do you need another reminder?" "What's next, Hm..." The ghost hummed, pacing around the fox in thought. "How about an ear, or maybe." She suddenly grinned as her eyes darted back to him. "An eye? Oh, you'd love that, wouldn't you? Every time you'd open your little eyes and realize you can't quite see the whole picture, you'll remember me and think about how much you should have listened... How does that sound, hm? Or I could finally just kill you?" Silas frantically shook his head in reply, the air he was able to breathe in was getting more scarce by the second. "You're right. That'd be too merciful, someone as horrible as you doesn't deserve mercy." With the last bits of air he could get the fox gave a broken plead.

"Ugh, Seriously?" She groaned.

Silas hit the ground with a loud thud, the sudden allowance of air instantly threw him into a coughing fit. Seance however just stared down in irritation, her ears twitching with every sharp cough. "Are you fucking done now?"She asked in irritation, she obviously felt no remorse for her actions. "Stop the dramatic coughing fit, you're not getting any sympathy from me. You want sympathy then why don't you crawl your way back to your human, hm?" "I'm sure she's stupid enough to reward your misbehaviour with pets and kisses. You always did like being a little pampered pet, didn't you? Having a soft bed and food in your bowl~" She mocked. "Disgusting really, you pets are all the same." Silas only continued to cough before he made a weak effort to stand.

He only looked down in shame, despite her scolding, tears quickly began to fill his eyes. But there was no sadness, no emotion to go along with them all he felt was a disconnect from his surroundings as he drifted back into reality. [ . . . ] It seemed Lady had let go of him long ago, but he was too stuck in his head to have noticed. He only sat there in silence as his hand cautiously wandered to the place where the vines were. The presence of pressure still lingered even if the vines were no longer there. He seemed confused, unsure why Lady Ombre didn't simply kill him when she had the chance.

Just as she left the fox made a frantic scramble for his mask. Tears were beginning to well up in his eyes, all he could mutter out was faint repetitive apologies as he shakily took the kitsune mask in hand.

Once he felt it in his hands a faint calmness washed over him... He took a long moment to stare at it in silence. His claw was gently scratching at the smooth surface of the mask, a feeble attempt to help ground himself in the present day. He still seemed extremely shaken up from the interaction with her. His hands were unintentionally trembling, and he couldn't stop his tears from worsening as moments passed. He was so tired of this, he was so tired of showing weakness and letting strangers have power over him. He was getting so tired of people treating him badly, pushing him around, finding new ways to get under his skin and bring him to the pathetic tears he struggled to hide. "Everything is fine..." He muttered before he finally flipped the mask, completely set on using it to conceal any leftover tears.

"Why do I always do such stupid things…"

Inari: Little one, I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re saying. Are you alright? Do you need help?

The presence of a much smaller Pokemon seemed to ease his panic, however, the fox appeared a bit disappointed at this realization. Seems his questions went unheard unfortunately... He gave a sad sigh as he looked away. Though currently focused on the grass his gaze nervously shifted around, all while he searched for the proper words to communicate with the mew.

It had been a while since he spoke Pokemon... but, It shouldn't be too hard right? After a long moment of silence, he finally gave a brave inhale as he spoke up once again.

Even if his words were a bit rough and oddly pronounced you could understand him much better now. His ears quickly flattened once again, "I... was... asking a question?" Silas seemed a bit puzzled at the offer of help, he was unsure if he'd done something worrisome, well, apart from his initial panic. "Did I do something wrong?"

"Its alright~ I'm not going to hurt you- Or do you already understand that by chance? I'm sorry... Im afraid I can't quite understand what you are saying..."

"I like them alot, They keep me safe." He said quite plainly, not elaborating further on what he meant.

"Mother said I am too weak to fight them... and I am not allowed outside unless she says I can be." He gave a nervous look back towards the fence almost as if he was expecting her to be lurking around. He obviously wasn't supposed to be on this side of it "...She scares me." He said in a sudden hushed voice. "She would like you... you should go before she finds you, you will be stuck here too." He gently nudged Sammy away from the fence. "She likes new pups, please go."

Calamity@Lady Ombre: The florges approached the trio as she looked voer the small giratina "Greetings all mighty," she greeted her politley "I havent seen any gods or goddesses from my universe so im not sure how its suppose to be..." she thought out slightly before looking towards Silas "This prison...." she said lightly in thought patting her chin with hand "Why was he imprisoned? It has something to do with the young zorua...?" her gaze wondered to the collapsed zorua who still haven't moved "Right...?"

Silas's shouting had quickly melted into silence, I suppose this was a job for Calamity then! She happily approached Lady, ready to answer her question.

Her reply was interrupted as Calamity seemed to zone off in confusion, that couldn't be right. She didn't say he could use that. There were no spirits of Giratina around beside her. A look of horror began to bleed into her expression. There was only one person who could do that. Someone much more important than a lowly spirit, someone divine.

Reality quickly hit the spirit as she began to squirm in a panic, everything was going wrong and so quickly. "W-wait!! No! I-"

The fox raised his arm, bringing the spirit much higher. Though his face was covered it was clear he was upset, the tone of his voice was harsh and unforgiving. "I am not your Nym." "I gave you no permission to address me as such." He growled, "Call me that again, Next time I'm going to do more than just kill you. I don't want your stupid nicknames. We are not friends and we will never be friends. I don't want to be anyone's stupid fuckin' friend, Okay? So just, fuck off. Alright!" Instead of fighting Silas, Calamity quickly began to accept her fate, she was going to die and there was nothing she could do about it. As much as she wanted to live she didn't have the heart to fight back. Tears quickly began to fill her eyes and as she shook in terror.

The impact was rough, dust-filled but the results were clear. Silas gave a huff, he felt nothing towards that thing's death. No sadness, no guilt, he had no connection with it. Why would he care about the death of a thing that couldn't even feel true emotions or pain? Everything she did was just an act to earn trust, a facade to seem like she was real. Something to make him care about her. He wasn't going to fall for it.

The silence was eerie, all that could be heard was the occasional small sniffle from Silas as he stared off. It seemed the fox's thoughts were wandering again.

"I hope you didn't want to talk to that thing, I think you should have asked a little quicker. It's much too late now." His tone was mocking, and demeaning as he leaned towards the Florges.

"I've taken down much worse than a poor little lost ghost. Just ask anyone~ I'm sure they'll tell you how much I love killing small, little helpless ghosts like you. They always like to squirm and scream." "So, This is what's going to happen. You're going to turn around, you're going to walk away and then you're going to leave this place, alright? How does that sound, hm?" Though he phrased it as a question, it's clear it wasn't. This was a threat, but something in his tone wasn't quite right. Something was off… there was almost a slight tremble to his voice? It was quickly covered as the fox gave a soft hum, "Well, Unless you want to find out why I was stuck in that stupid little prison, and I both think we know you don't." "If not, I'm sure we can arrange otherwise." He grinned, even with his face covered it echoed in his voice. "We can see how quickly you can die if you'd like~" "Maybe you can beat the bug's record? But, I doubt that, you seem like a stubborn one having stuck around this long."

"Look buddy, this is none of our business obviously, but wouldnt it be easier to accept help from strangers? Refusing and then lamenting about your past mistakes doesnt bring you any further as well, ya know. And btw, i think ya got a visitor you should pay attention too."

Silas quickly shifted into his illusion as he approached Magby. Though his intention was not to attack them, he made his aggression towards the tiny Pokemon was made clear.

"You should really watch what you say, and who you say it to. I don't need your fuckin' sass right now." The illusion leaned in, it was lingering much too close for comfort, and its teeth were barely inches away from them. Silas had no interest in killing them even if the illusion suggested otherwise. It only gave a tiny huff before it fully backed off.

"I already got bullied once today, and I ain't about to let it happen again. I'm not going to be everyone's punching bag." He sighed before his gaze fell away. "I already have had enough of that in my life."

"Strangers are called 'strangers' for a REASON. I don't know who the fuck I can trust anymore after everyone's always taken advantage of me." His words seemed suddenly sad, he was finally being honest for once. "How the hell am I supposed to know who I can accept help from without them roping me into being their personal servant huh? Would you blindly trust everyone you meet if everyone's always tried to use you to get what they want? Hm? I fuckin' doubt it."

Uh Miss Calamity, All legendaries I have seen have either human disguises...or...pokemon ones? Since all of us can see you - what if someone who should be knowing who you are sees you? Can you still turn into a...different type of spirit pokemon?

The Spirit cheerfully nodded before giving the Mimikyu a giddy look. She could barely contain her excitement.

She gave a gleeful smile before quickly shifting back into her base form. "I can turn into anything I please! It's quite simple, even in my main body, shapeshifting is truly child's play for me. I can even shift into a human form, though that requires much more effort on my end as I am not entirely capable of those things in this Spirit form. I admit I am more familiar with shifting into ghost-type forms than I am with any of these." "My creation type is Ghost! Therefore I excel at the creation of ghost-type forms. Though I much prefer trying to appear as something I haven't been forced to create for hundreds of millenniums." "But, Isn't it so exciting to try new things! I think mortals call it 'Having fun' or 'indulging in the meaningless'. I am not sure, however, I quite enjoy such things. Being a god is tedious and exhausting, all I do in the ghost realm is create, destroy, and consume souls. It's, how shall I say... lacklustre after so many years."

Angela@Silas: "Do you just like to spend your little time torturing and murdering ghosts? How dare you do that to literal spirits of children? They can't hurt you, they've already suffered enough pain from passing and you just spend time killing them again? What do you have to gain from it other than some sort of sadistic satisfaction?"

Angela's comment quickly broke the fox out of whatever sad stupor he was previously in. Did she just say what he thought she said...? He didn't imagine that did he?

How dare someone reduce him to THAT kind of person. Silas gave a sinister grin as he leaned back, he clearly was not in the mood to be judged and so wrongly accused.

He finally let out a sigh as his illusion dissipated. "If you think I'm the type of person to hurt a child. You're fuckin' mistaken. I'm not someone who hurts children," He spat out his words, there was clearly hurt behind them. "I would never stoop so low to use them for my own personal gain, that's disgusting." "I-..." His voice shook as he glanced back to Angela, he looked as if he wanted to retreat away from such horrid accusations, but he stood his ground. "I know what it's like being a helpless child at the mercy of a sick and twisted adult. "That spirit wasn't a child moron." He huffed out in a fit of rage, he didn't enjoy being accused of such horrible things and he certainly wasn't going to be nice to the person who just did so. "That spirit's older than me, than even you and that's saying something cause you look ancient." He laughed giving a sneer.

"What if I do get some sadistic little gain from hurting ghost-types hm~?" She wanted to assume the worst about him, he might as well lean into it. "And killing them?"

"Little ghosts don't really put up much of a fight you know?" he laughed as he circled around the dragon.

Silas was quick to stop in his tracks. That sounded really weird, Ew. There had to be a better-sounding word than that. "Ummm..." He tapped his claw in thought, "How about..."

"I don't know the fuckin' right word alright?!" He shouted, "I just like killing stupid little ghosts, Isn't that pretty obvious? Huh?" "Maybe I do get some 'sadistic satisfaction' out of it, maybe I don't. Does it really look like I know the reason why I did that? Hm?!" Silas was really starting to get tired of people poking at him. "Look dumbfuck. I don't know why I do the shit I do okay. I ain't some all-knowing, self-aware deity. I'm a dumb fox. Get used to it or pack your shit and leave. Cause it ain't changing anytime soon."

It would be an understatement to say Silas wasn't sure how to react, he took a long moment to stare at the gift. This was the second time someone had given him something. His expression shifted from confusion to worry before settling into something more neutral as Malachi explained. He didn't say anything at first, he was almost completely lost for words. Only being able to give a small puzzled sound before he hushed up again. It was after a long and awkward silence that he finally spoke up. Unlike his previous loud and over-the-top persona his voice was low and quiet. Barely loud enough to be heard, he seemed to be his genuine self in this moment.

It was obvious he wanted to ease their worry, possibly reassure them. But he couldn't, he couldn't possibly say it, not with all the people he let down. Those he ultimately left betrayed by his impulsive and self-destructive actions. Now that another person was willingly putting trust in him after all these years he wasn't about to make a false promise and ruin their hopes. With a final sad glance at them, the Zoroark nervously put the item into his bag. Rather than closing it and moving on, he began to carefully go over everything. He shifted things to the side every so often as he appeared to be looking for something, something he could give them. After a while of searching, he finally pulled something small out of his bag.

"It was mine before I was forced to evolve." He quickly cringed at the thought before he continued, his voice still quiet, "My mo- I mean. My trainer gave it to me a long time ago... All it does is remind me of something I never wanted." He sighed holding it out, "Just don't break it, Please. If you don't want it. Just give it to someone who needs it more. I don't care. It's probably worthless to you anyway." Despite claiming to not care, It was clear it pained him to give up one of his sentimental items to them, but he was too dead set on paying Malachi back to care for his own feelings at the moment. Begrudgingly he gave the Jirachi the strange stone before he turned away, his usual rude tone quickly returning to cover up any vulnerability that might have slipped out. Silas threw them the best glare he could muster up. "Don't say I owe you anything. Alright? I don't want you knocking on my fuckin' door like a debt collector." "I don't owe you shit, so don't say I do."

With a faint breeze and a swirl of white energy, the tiny spirit's form began to solidify into a semi-transparent state.

She happily drifted around before giving Silas an annoyed glance. He wasn't paying much attention, instead, the fox was staring at a building in the distance, he looked to be plotting something. "I do apologise on behalf of my follower, he used to be a lot more… reserved and calm, I assure you this is not his norm. He hasn't acted correctly since the death of my previous host. I equate it to a need to look threatening and formidable, though it is not working by any means." She softly huffed. "I find it rather irritating. He was much more tolerable as a youth. Though he has aged from adolescence to adulthood since being confined to that prison, I must say his emotional maturity has not caught up with him yet. My gift may be to blame for that so I deeply apologise for his childish outbursts. He hasn't learned to regulate his emotions yet."

@guardians-of-dreams Malachi@Silas The Jirachi looked at the Zorvul a slight concern on his face, “You look a bit hurt, I don’t mind giving you a bit of a heal pulse, but I’m not going to do it without permission,” he offered, “I don’t want to overstep any boundaries…” while he definitely seemed nice, but he also seemed a bit cautious

Silas quietly stared at the blood, he seemed... almost Indifferent to the fact he was injured, as if he didn't notice it in the first place. He showed no surprise, only taking a moment to recompose himself before he began his act once again.

The Zoroark grumbled dramatically, shaking the blood away. "Well, at least someone respects me around here. Congrats on being the only person on this stupid planet to care about "boundaries" with me. So, you want some kind of fuckin' reward? Brownie points perhaps? My undying gratitude? What will it be? Hm?" He scoffed. "Besides."

Silas's tone was uncaring, however, his gaze was nervously trained on the Jirachi, almost if he was scared they were going to be put off by his remarks. His words clearly did not match his wants at the moment. He gave some unintelligible spiel about pitying him before he let out an annoyed huff.

Silas sure as hell wasn't the type of person to openly admit when he wanted help, and it didn't look like that was going to change anytime soon. The best he could do was make a backhanded remark about it and hope the person he was talking to took his vague hint. Though this was likely the vaguest hint known to man sprinkled in with a side of unwanted attitude.

For a moment a sort of sadness return to his expression once he realized the position he was potentially putting himself in.

Though it didn't last long as his attitude came back in full force. Of course he had to bring in the dramatics eventually, this was Silas after all. It wouldn't be him without a side of drama.

"Put myself in a hole! Might as well make it my home at this point!" His tone was cheerful and fake. "Oh, Just wait yet, this is my redemption arc now! I repent for my unforgivable sins. All that murder? All those deaths? It was just a ruse for my pain and heartache. Obviously." For some reason there was a disgusting truth to his word. "Why don't I just do it in full force? Hm? Spill my guts."

"Oh, I can't wait to be loved and adored by the masses. Maybe North will finally fulfil her life goals and save me from my dark ways! Return me to that disgusting loving and stupid little fox I was!" "Always ready to please at a whim. Trying to make everyone love him in hopes of just a measly scrap of positive attention!"

"I'm not a fuckin' moron anymore." He huffed, "I actually grew a spine and decided to stop being everyone's cute little lapdog." His rant seemed to finally end as he gave a sigh, "As if you'd actually want to help me of your own free will. Doubt it. People ain't nice in this life. They just want something from me every single fuckin' time. You're probably that type of deity that's thinks I'm indebted to them for a merciful glance my way. Hm?"

→ Silas seems skeptical about Malachi's offer, though he's not denying it by any means. It's best to be careful with your words if your determined to continue.
