(Part 1 if you missed it)
Other reasons
This will be sort of a rapid fire appreciation round so lets start off with Robo Ky mk2 who was a character exclusive to guilty gear isuka which was essentially smash bros but an actual fighting game. Something fully unique in this game and its ds version Dust Strikers is that you could fully customize your own Robo Ky mk 2 to give him any move in the game like potemkin buster or even moves like glitter is gold and ALL of them have unique animations. The animation team was essentially challenged to make either magical moves technical or random stuff made into things that made sense within this games context and they absolutely nailed it, for example, millia’s bad moon turns into a banana, testaments Zeinest turns into gum and so many more. I’ll include a video showing them all off in the description that I highly recommend you watch because some of these are absolutely beautiful. Another reason I like Robo Ky is just because he gives me the most laughs when playing him. For context, I typically main funny fighters in my games so faust in Xrd and Strive or guys like kuma in tekken and twelve in street fighter. While I do enjoy taking matches seriously, at the end of the day im here for a good time and Robo Ky always makes me laugh just with his fun gameplay and unorthodox moveset. In general i can't quite think of a character that i like playing more than Robo Ky which is saying a lot because i hop between characters a lot so if i stick to JUST one, that's impressive for someone like me. In general i also just like robot characters so the minute you tell me i can play a funny robot which an actually fun moveset, i'm all in. hes my most wanted fighter for STRIVE after all and while yeah, his story is basically wrapped up i would still love to see him return. Daisuke IS willing to bring back dead characters if it makes sense within the story and he wanted to put him in rev 2 but didn't due to how complex his moveset is so hey, i still have my hopes up. But yeah, that's everything extra i wanted to bring up about Robo Ky, for now at least.
Conclusions
So yeah, now you know why Robo Ky is my favorite character in media. Are there better picks? Probably,I mean I still love faust, bedman, venom and other characters in general and most of them have more story than Robo Ky so realistically i should be more attached to them and yet here i am, going on for over 4,000 words about why i love the silly robot guy. But I guess, he just clicked with me. I get a weird sense of happiness when i play him in accent core, see art of him, read the drama cd, watch the xrd cutscenes with him and even when i listen to his theme Holy Orders? Which is just ky’s theme but distorted, that is also another reason why i love him but i think this video has gone on long enough. To close out, I want to say that final line in the battle with bedman as it has remained as a quote I hold close to the heart. “Remember...you never laugh at another person's dreams. Words from the wise. If you follow this rule there's no need for such elaborate ideologies. People may disagree or even fight… but above all, they can connect. You just need to cool off for a bit.”

If you made it all the way down here, thank you, I truly mean that. As I'm writing this I'm admittedly a bit worried of putting this out there but I really wanted to so I did it anyways. Thank you for reading, I know I can't show my appreciation, but it truly does mean the world to me.

Chipp or Anjii for whatever headcanon thing ur doin
I don't know a whole lot about Anji so I'll do Chipp for this :^)
🍙 Overall opinion of them:
Funny shark teeth guy!!! Chipp's another character whose overall development is one of my favorites. Dude went through hell, lost the one person he looked up to most, and still found the strength to pull himself through, overcome his drug addiction, and become a friggin president of a country. Mad respect. It's such a shame he gets boiled down to "funnie weeaboo man" by the community but he has a lot of really vocal supporters in the fandom too that balance it back out, thankfully. He has the best guyliner in all of Guilty Gear in his Xrd design
🍙 Gender/sexuality headcanons:
Answer is his wife. Real talk though, I can't really recall him ever having any sort of even mildly-flirtatious dialog with any of the female characters (or even the male ones, tbh). Something like gay-leaning aro/ace, maybe demisexual?
🍙 Favorite moment in canon:
That scene in Strive with Chipp and Anji chasing, on foot, after Chaos and Nago in Chaos' car was the exact moment I knew GG did not give a single damn over how ridiculous it was and it lives in my heart forever.
🍙 Favorite line, in canon or otherwise:
I quote his victory line against May from Missing Link so often I have it cropped and saved in my reaction images folder lol
Tumblr media
He also roasts Sol a lot about his smoking habit, which is great too. Smoking is so gross and no one else is giving Sol shit for it lmfao
🍙 Characters I love seeing them interact with:
Answer and Anji, of course. It feels like there's some interesting yet unexplored dynamic between Chipp and Baiken that would be cool seeing expanded on in the future too.
🍙 Last thing before sleeping headcanons:
Chipp seems to put a decent amount of care into his appearance (as the leader of any country should) so he's probably got a routine down that's a little similar to Ky's: brush teeth, hair, lay out clothes for tomorrow, etc. Except Chipp seems like the kind of person who would do weapon maintenance right before bed too, since he carries so much stuff with him into combat. Like oil and set out his shuriken, kunai, whatever next to his outfit for the next day haha
🍙 Sleeping habits headcanons:
Chipp either sleeps like a normal person in a normal bed or he has some insane net hammock setup that makes him feel more ninja-like. No in between.
🍙 First thing after waking up headcanons:
He strikes me as the kind of person who does the basic "just woke up" routine stuff first, like brush his teeth, and then immediately goes into a morning exercise regimen. You don't get to be as fast as Chipp without putting an incredible amount of dedication into a consistent workout routine
🍙 Favorite locations headcanon:
Dude LOVES the mountains. I'm pretty sure most of the promo footage for Chipp has him running across mountaintops and jumping off like giant cliffs and stuff like that. Anywhere up high in nature is somewhere Chipp likes to be.

Theory on Nagoriyuki’s Theme and Backstory.
So, in my previous posts, somebody managed to put out the lyrics of What Do You Fight For-Nagoriyuki’s Theme.
Reminder, I may or may not be right with my theory. This is just speculation and my interpretation.
LYRICS:
Everything in this world leads to soul enlightenment There is nothing wasted about our lives The snow falling in spring Moon hangs during the day One with self and time So what? Let's get to the bottom line If so, what do you fight for? You're denying your thirst Now it’s time to feast Break it out! Keep grinding dive in deep like cold steel I won't face my doom, SAYONARA! Well done! How dare you!!! Never too late to bend the knee When Hell freezes over! SAYONARA The world is starting to reject you If so, what do you fight for You must know your place Now it’s time to feast Break it out! Keep grinding dive in deep like cold steel I won't face my doom, SAYONARA Well done! How dare you!!! Never too late to bend the knee When Hell freezes over! SAYONARA I know the time of darkness will come some day but I will fight it till the day I die Break it out! Break it out! Dive in the deep! Like cold steel I will not face my doom, SAYONARA
~~~~
It is becoming one of my favorite songs to be honest. The music and its tone obviously is heavy metal, but there is a sense of calmness and self-control. Although, the lyrics are pretty hammy and full of burning passion.
It can be safe to believe that Nagoriyuki is a calm and collected person. There is a possibility that he is disciplined and passionate about his fighting skills. According to his biography, the man values Bushido (Samurai Code). Bushido Code of the samurai has principles that emphasizes courage, honor, and loyalty to their master, the daimyo.
The principles clearly almost coincide to the lyrics to a certain extent. The most important part of the lyrics that stood out is that the beginning of the song quotes that everything in this world leads to soul enlightenment.
https://ashlandtidings.com/archive/inner-peace-characteristics-of-an-enlightened-soul
Soul Enlightenment’s definition varies, but what is it like when a person is spiritually enlightened? The qualities of that is that the enlightened person is a being of pure love and light, kind and compassionate. However, those qualities aren’t enough to truly define you as ‘enlightened’.
You must purify your soul, heart, mind, and body. The back of Nagoriyuki’s kimono and the kanji written on his mask was written as ‘Heart’ and ‘Mind’, if I am correct. That matches the attributes of what one needs for spiritual enlightenment.
Even so, the lyrics quoted: ‘You’re denying your thirst. Now it’s time to feast!’
This could refer to Nagoriyuki’s internal struggles on resisting his vampiric urges. As stated before, it’s speculated that his hannya youkai mask is special limiter that helps suppress his impulses. So Nagoriyuki might be struggling to control his vampire side and he could be using the culture and traditions of Bushido to obtain spiritual enlightenment to maintain self-control. Not only is he trying to maintain himself, but he is obviously very determined to keep fighting. Keep fighting until it is his time to die. He might have a mindset of a warrior, someone who isn’t afraid of death, even though he is an ‘immortal’, a vampire.
Onto his backstory, there is no information on Nagoroyuki’s past. He is simply called a mysterious swordsman that wields a sword that absorbs blood, but Daisuke claimed that he plays an important role to the history of Guilty Gear.
If this is true, it is safe to assume that he’s seen a lot of pretty crazy events that transpired throughout the lore’s timeline. He certainly gives off the impression of an experienced warrior and a man with a story to tell.
I believe his situation is no different from Sol Badguy. Sol was a human but due to some...bad circumstances, he became a Gear and as a prototype, he is insanely strong. Too strong for his own good to the point where he needed to create a limiter to suppress the Gear cells and his Gear instincts. There has always been this internal conflict Sol has with his Gear side.
Nagoriyuki is probably a similar case. Long story short, he might’ve been human once in his lifetime, but something must’ve happened (probably the cursed nature of his sword) to where he became a vampire. As a vampire, you would obviously begin to act out on your bloodlust and impulse to drink blood. Upon discovering the traditions of the Bushido Code of the Samurai, he studied it and tried to obtain inner peace with himself and his vampiric side.
 While he does come off as a loner, I have doubts that Nagoriyuki built that mechanical mask by himself. He likely had help someone within the P.W.A.B. or something. Who that person is, it’s unknown and I’m not going to speculate it for we still don’t know all the details of the Strive story.
However, unlike Sol, Nagoriyuki doesn’t seem like he’ll hesitant to remove his limiter and access his full power.
“I know the time of darkness will come some day but I will fight it till the day I die Break it out! Break it out! Dive in the deep! Like cold steel I will not face my doom, SAYONARA “
This part could mean that Nagoriyuki is well-aware that his impulses could overtake him at any moment if he is pushed to the extreme. However, the lyrics may imply that he isn’t backing down and will keep fighting those impulses until the day he dies. If anything, in the process of learning the Bushido Code, the man likely has an immense indomitable will that helps him maintain his humanity and self-awareness. He’s not afraid to face his demons and is determined to fight them.
I really believe that Nagoriyuki’s theme is all related to his ideals and personal struggles as a person. In principle, he may have this belief that everyone has reason for fighting. If you are fighting, you should a goal in mind. But in the process of striving and fighting for your goal, you must achieve spiritual enlightenment to reflect on yourself and fight your inner demons. This can sort of tie-in toward the theme of the game. The title is Strive and in lore, the characters are fighting for something, but before they do reach their goal, they must reflect on themselves as individuals. Basically, it’s discovering and awakening their utmost potential.
That concludes my theory on what I believe could be is Nagoriyuki’s personality and backstory. Like I said before and I’ll say it once again, this must be taken with a grain of salt and be viewed as a mere interpretation of mine, not a fact. The story mode may debunk my theory or not. This is all for the sake of fun and being hyped for the upcoming installation.
I have to say, his theme song is freakin’ awesome to listen to. I think I’ll make it my third favorite next to Colors and Society.
I just turned 31 on Monday. Here are a few things I learned about LIFE.
Here are a few lessons I learned during my life journey so far and that have really shaped who I am today.
Never stop learning
You can only become better by educating, growing and doing. It’s the only way to learn.
I read and listen books, watch webinars, read articles and blogs. It just makes me grow personally.
Happiness doesn’t come from owning things
Although money can buy things, happiness doesn’t come from acquiring more stuff. Happiness comes from experiences, like spending quality time with your significant other, listening to the rain while drinking a cup of coffee, taking a little road trip with your family, going hiking with friends or achieving something bigger.
Working hard pays off
the quality (and quantity) of your work will show your value.
It’s hard to pursue what you love
As human beings, we’re trained to follow what society thinks is politically correct.
Noone will teach us about self-awareness or about the value of trying different things to find out what we like doing for the rest of our lives! That’s why it’s very important to focus on finding what we truly love.
We’re also hesitant to change gears because we care what other people say.
If you want to make money start leveraging your time
Time is limited and trading my time for money as an employee can only get me that far. That’s when I realized that to make a real impact (and make millions too) I need to work hard on my business. When doing business, I can do things at scale.
Most people trade their time working for someone else because it’s the easiest and the safest. So do I. If I want a 50% pay rise I cannot just go and ask for one. The market decides the ceiling of my industry earnings and I have to oblige.
But if I sell something online I can definitely spend $100 in Facebook ads to generate an additional $1,000 income a month. That’s the power of businesses – do things at scale.
There’s a book on that: The Millionaire's Fastlane by MJ DeMarco. Great content. Read it!
Life is not always about work
I usually strive to become better, Be more productive, work harder and smarter. But I found that we all need some downtime. Some people meditate, take mountain trips, or play online games.
I create pressure for myself and feel guilty if I’m not working on my goals. on my profitable business or on improving my skills. But sometimes it’s just TOO MUCH. What’s the point of doing all these if you don’t enjoy the downtime? That’s why this past year I had gone outside to enjoy some needed “Me Time” #DowntimeForTheWin.
There’s always enough time, it’s a matter of priorities
I’m so tired hearing people say “I don’t have the time, I don’t have the money, I don’t have the energy”. Noone has enough time and everybody gets the same hours every day.
Between kids, full-time Jobs and just Life itself there’s this sweet spot of finding 2 hours per week to do something you love or are passionate about. During these years I learned that if I say “I don’t have enough time” I am either not passionate enough for this or I’m prioritising something else over this one.
Interest creates thoughts and wishes. But taking action and staying committed puts your resources behind your words.
Find someone who supports you
I’m so lucky to have a husband that wants to make me happy and respects my wishes! A husband who I know will always back me up and will genuinely support whatever it is that I put my mind into. Michael I Love You. Thank you for being my best friend and my biggest cheerleader; It’s very important to have support by your side and someone working towards the same goals as you. That applies not only to the other half but people in general – friends, colleagues etc.
Receiving as well as offering support are crucial to getting more satisfaction too!
Exercise makes me happier
I don’t know why but every time I get up early morning to go to my favorite Pilates studio I feel more excited and in a more “prime” state of mind.
Everyone can escape the 9-to-5
If you don’t want to work for money but want the money working for you, then you live in the right era. The plan is simple and based purely on numbers and averages (yes the “law of averages” -Jim Rhon). Just spend less than you earn, avoid debt and invest the rest. You can boost your income too by expanding your skills set, and starting your own business; as Eric Worre said: Network Marketing is not perfect is just BETTER. In the future, you’re only going to be paid for performance. You won’t be paid for your time anymore.
You can do anything tech-related without having a degree
All the information flows freely on the internet. I’m saying tech-related because you cannot really become a doctor or a lawyer by taking online courses.
But speaking of my current job (Networker) you can become many things a designer, a software engineer or a digital marketing guru by studying online. Even top universities like Stanford give online courses and I can guarantee you this: You learn by doing not by reading.
Stop worrying about things outside your control
I used to worry about the traffic, the weather and generally things that I cannot change.
If I learned something this past year is that! Stop worrying about things you don’t have control of. I started following some Stoicism principles; I started focusing on things I can control and that makes me a happier person. So when I find myself cursing at someone driving, I think again. Why do I worry about something I don’t have control of? Believe me it works.
You only learn by doing
I think this applies to everything, from formal education to skating. You may have a MBA in Business Analytics, but try building a product and it is completely different from what the books say. Get your hands on and accept the challenge to succeed.
Chase making an impact, not making money
People will not care that you want to make money. All people care is solving their own problems. When building something it’s pointless to chase the money alone.
I recently read something worth mentioning: “Improve the life of 1 million people and you will be a millionaire”. If you think about it, this is absolutely right. I realized that to earn more, I needed to become more.
Practice beats talent every single time
Andre Agassi wasn’t very talented. He wanted to quit tennis but his father insisted he continued. He cried, fought his father and himself but eventually he put the hours in.
If you’re determined and practicing your craft then you’ll beat any other more talented but lazy person. Practice beats talent every single damn time.
80% of Success is showing up
I recently listened to a handful of books from great authors, like Jim Rhon (my personal mentor and inspiration for my business) Eric Worre, Jen Sincero, Woody Allen, Don Miguel Ruiz etc. And I personally love this quote by Woody Allen “Eighty percent of success is showing up”.
Always be grateful
Every experience no matter how bad it seems, holds within it a blessing of. Appreciate Everything regret nothing. I choose to count my blessings and continue to learn from my failures.
LESS IS MORE
Say less, listen more. Judge less, Love more. Think less, Do more, Own less things, and you’ll experience more freedom.
would be an easy choice, and someone else is probably going to do it, so how about Ky?
No Sol for the Sol blogger 🥺🥺🥺🥺 jk Ky's good haha
⚡ Overall opinion of them:
Tbh I really didn't like Ky when I first got into Guilty Gear because he was the "stick in the mud law abiding citizen" guy at first glance, but his lore is so complex and his character is a lot deeper than that now that I know him better. He's probably not in my top 5 favorite GG characters or anything, though I don't dislike him. He's neat. I'm looking forward to getting to work on his novel and learning more about him.
⚡ Gender/sexuality headcanons:
It's hilariously easy to make gay jokes about him and Sol because of the official art from X thru XX but, if I had to put Ky on the Kinsey scale, I think he'd be either a 1 or 2. Straight for the most part with the occasional gay/bi moment. I also think that if you asked Ky about his sexuality (assuming the person asking him was someone he was comfortable opening up with) he wouldn't have an answer right away, like sex/sexualities aren't something he dedicates a lot of time thinking about. Heteroflexible-romantic with asexual leanings, or something like that? He would NEVER. EVER. even SLIGHTLY consider cheating on Dizzy.
⚡ Favorite moment in canon:
It was raw af the first time I watched the Xrd story and Elphelt shoots him and he just gets back up because he had the Gear stuff going on at that point. I think that was the scene where my opinion of him started changing because him being a Gear went against like EVERYTHING I thought I knew about him up til then.
⚡ Favorite moment in a fanwork:
I'm gonna skip this question because I don't read fanfiction and don't really have anything to put for it dngkd
⚡ Favorite line, in canon or otherwise:
The change in Ky's match dialog with Sol throughout the series is really cool. Starting with Missing Link, his dialog has a lot of self-doubt in it up until about Rev where he starts getting some confidence in himself: [ML] "Sol! Why did you hold back!? Am I not worthy..?" [X] "That look you're giving me...I feel as if I haven't won." [Xrd] "Sol... Victory is mine." [Strive] "You were supposed to give it your all."
With the Strive quote especially, he says the line with a lot of force/annoyance, not in a way where he doesn't feel like he deserves to have won. I know this isn't like a single quote/what this prompt asks for, I just really like this part of his character development.
⚡ Characters I love seeing them interact with:
Sol, obviously lmfao. I have to admit that I'm not really familiar with his interactions with many of the other characters... It would be interesting seeing some healing with his relationship with Sin in the future.
⚡ Last thing before sleeping headcanons:
Oh you just know this man's got a whole bedtime ritual haha. Brushed teeth, mouthwash, face wash, and a quick comb through his hair before bed. Maybe he reads a little from a (non-work related) book before lights out too.
⚡ Sleeping habits headcanons:
I can imagine Ky's bed and pillows being so perfectly comfortable that he doesn't move like at all once he gets into it. I do think he owns multiple pairs of matching light blue and white pajamas with his initials monogrammed onto the chest pocket, though (and comfortable soft brown leather house moccasins).
⚡ First thing after waking up headcanons:
Good morning smooch for Dizzy <3 Ky seems like the kind of person who wakes up and then immediately gets dressed and ready for the day, but also skips breakfast and has only coffee more often than he'd like to admit...
⚡ Favorite locations headcanon:
Hmm... I don't know Ky well enough to get a feel for the kinds of locations he seems like he would enjoy... Maybe sneaking down to the farmer's market with Dizzy when he can to buy little baked treats that he normally can't get the chefs at the Illyria castle to make? He seems like he might enjoy walks in nature parks too but doesn't ever have the time to get away to go on one...
