dream in episode 8: time for me to be an unmitigated dick to everyone i encounter 🥰
#he was doing pretty well with rose until he was like oh you just found your brother? well too bad this dream is over YEET#what's funny is i totally understand every decision he made in the episode it's not like he set out with the goal of being an asshole XD#it just happened anyway 😂 poor dream#like he can't really help jed the waking world is not his purview and helping one human in the waking would set a bad precedent#he can't just leave gault there because again sets a bad precedent#he does what he THINKS is correct in forcing her to remain a nightmare#(i also kind of read that scene as like#dream already HAS changed and knows it but isn't ready to confront it. but that aside)#but yeah it's honestly funny to me how much of a jerk he is in this episode not even intentionally#and yes i'm still only on episode 8 what about it#this ep is interesting tho because it's very much an outsider's perspective of dream#he's not really the protagonist of this story arc so we get a lot of other people's view of him instead of his own pov#(the scene of the corinthian going to talk to rose and then seeing matthew and quietly going 'fuck' and walking away#was the funniest example)#the sandman#meta#not really#more like commentary

Today I did a Doomsday rewatch with my friend :D
And while watching the fifth episode we finally realised where exactly the missing scene between Varya and Azik was. They had a scene that was cut where they were in a taxi discussing their problems and feelings and where they had... their first kiss. I still don't understand why the fuck it was cut??? It was, like, a very important step of their relationship and character development that you just threw away??? And we were able to deduce that it was there because Azik literally was in that same taxi when he took Demian for a ride 🤗
#we decided that we should just imagine that the scene was there because in the words of Vladimir Kanuhin who played Azik it was important#he himself said that it's a shame that editors cut it. he genuinely liked that one because it was both romantic and funny.#and we would have liked it too. but I guess we had to fill the void with russian and belarusian jokes 😂😂😂#no kidding. we were literally discussing it in both languages and the way our jokes just worked together because of it was hilarious.#doomsday (2022)#конец света (2022)

I think episode 3 was my favorite because there's a lot of Jet and Live Action Jet is so HANDSOME.. (he looks like One Piece Ace (in my imagination at least). At the beginning I thought he was the shorthaired Haru.. but apparently no Haru at all 🫠
Anyway..this zutara art is one of my first art that released in Tumblr first.. xD
