Hi, I've been wondering for the photography AU what general time period it's set in, what type of camera(s) does Koby use (it looks like a canon to me but seems to make polaroids, at least that's the surface level observation I can make from my extremely limited knowledge on cameras), what type of photography he personally enjoys and the type he usually does for work (if he does it as his profession too). What does Koby aim to capture with his images, the casual mundane life of an average person, an unreal, etheral sight in a place the average person can't go, Luffy's luffiness, etc? Also what's the general budget Koby has towards camera equipment (doesn't need to be that exact, just a general "he's broke" or "He spends all his money on lenses" would suffice)? My questions are kinda vague here because I'm going to research more about photography later. Thanks in advance :D Oh yeah and also does Koby travel, if not what's the general landscape of his nearby area. You don't need to answer this since I'll probably make it up but it'd be good to know.
okok i wrote this all in the few free periods i got earlier take what you will ^_^
also a doodle i did ages aaaaago with a bit of slightly illegible info in my awful handwriting (sorry)

actual answer vvv
- its a modern au!! so set like. now!
- koby uses sony cameras primarily but yes he does have a few canons (nikon confuses him)
- he has a seperate polaroid camera!!! he usually prints digitally from sd though
- for type of photography, he started with a passion for ocean and landscape photography, mostly beaches and any scene with water in focus. he also has an interest in portraiture but his love for portraiture only comes to play when he meets luffy. cheese cheese cheeeesyyyy because luffy smiles and hes IMMEDIATELY enamoured. anyway, he starts to study and practice portraiture in depth because of the pretty boy he met in maths class and eventually works up the courage to ask him to model for him. they get super close and eventually start dating; luffy likes how dedicated koby is to his work and how cute he is when he blushes.
-SORDY got carried away with the sappy lovey stuff. koby sells his landscape/wildlife photography at local stores as a side hustle thing haha. but he doesnt really do it professionally, he much prefers to keep it as a hobby / simple income.
- koby aims to capture the beauty of colour! he loves vibrancy when shooting with a softbox or some other source of light he will usually use something to change the hue rather than plain old bw on a simple white bg
- following on he HATES shooting black and white photos unless theyre negatives because idk i think he would think it looks cool. what a guy
- with luffy photography he just likes catching luffys smile or just luffy in general; whipped dud!!! he thinks he is gorgeous
- ahahhhh budget budgettt. lenses are fucking EXPENSIVE!!! he uses a 50mm that helmeppo got him for his birthday one year (rich kid stuff. he knew koby likes photography and searched Best Lense For People Pictures and bought the first one he saw) the 50 is canon as consequence so koby uses canon for loofy pics. he has an 18-55mm he uses as well.
- he is broke yes. koby does have a minimum wage weekend job to pay for living expenses but all in all that boys pockets are empty. luffy is the breadwinner (miss rabbit with the one zillion jobs) he works about 4 different jobs and is happy to pay for anything koby wants despite kobys adamant NOs. like i said he gets helmeppo to pay for a bunch of stuff and helmeppo pays on his dads card LOL.
- koby does travel! mainly by train or boat, not often does he go to an entirely different country but he has previously a few times. when he does go abroad he takes luffy with him!!!! (he looks pretty in the snow. he likes taking pictures of him in snow)
IM SO GLAD SOMEONE LIKES MY AU ENOUGH TO ASK ME THIS MANY QUESTIONS LMAO i had fun answering all of this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Angels’ Managerial Search
By Jeff Todd | October 20, 2018 at 10:03pm CDT
We’re tracking all of the managerial hiring situations around the league with team-specific posts, and it’s time to introduce one for the Angels. Mike Scioscia just wrapped up a 19-year tenure with the organization that included a whopping ten-year, $50MM contract — a managerial pact that’s still without compare.
As of late last week, the Halos were wrapping up their first round of chats with potential candidates, as Jeff Fletcher of the Southern California News Group reported. At least ten candidates were slated for an early look, with the remainder of the process — and the identities of most names under consideration — largely unknown.
There still aren’t a ton of names available, but we learned more about the club’s approach from MLB.com’s Jon Morosi (Twitter link). Beyond reviewing resumes and speaking with candidates, the Angels front office is said to be “administering [a] 2-hour written test to managerial candidates” that poses “questions spanning analytical, interpersonal and game-management aspects of the job.” Needless to say, that’s an interesting process.
Here’s the latest on individual candidates:
Latest Update – 10/20
The Angels have interviewed Rays major league field coordinator Rocco Baldelli, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports and Fletcher confirms. Baldelli’s among 10 candidates who interviewed during the first round of the process, per Fletcher, though he reports there are only six confirmed names (Baldelli, Vizquel, Chavez, Ausmus, Espada and Hyde). While it’s unknown which candidates have stood out to the Angels thus far, Fletcher writes that they could name their next manager by Monday.
Earlier Update — 10/18
Longtime big league infielder Omar Vizquel interviewed for the position but is no longer in consideration to be hired, per Venezuelan journalist Efrain Zavece on his podcast (Twitter link; hat tip to MLB.com’s Maria Guardado). The 51-year-old Vizquel previously served as the Tigers’ first base coach (under fellow Halos managerial candidate Brad Ausmus) and has spent the past two seasons managing in the White Sox’ minor league ranks.
Previous updates below…
Have Interviewed/Will Interview
Eric Chavez, who finished the season as the Angels’ Triple-A manager, has interviewed for the position, per Morosi. The same is true of former Tigers skipper Brad Ausmus, who is currently a special assistant to Angels GM Billy Eppler. Chavez, in particular, was reported as a favorite for the job early in the process — in some cases, before Scioscia even formally stepped down.
Astros bench coach Joe Espada is among the initial candidates, as ESPN.com’s Marly Rivera reports. He’ll get an interview, if he hasn’t already, per Fletcher, who notes that the timing was not yet clear given the Houston ballclub’s ongoing postseason commitments. Espada, who is in his first year in his role, is also drawing interest from multiple other teams.
Cubs bench coach Brandon Hyde received an interview from the Halos, according to MLB.com’s Jon Morosi (via Twitter). He has ample experience in the Chicago dugout, including a pair of campaigns as bench coach and three prior years as first base coach. Hyde also spent five years as a minor-league manager within the Marlins organization. Like Espada, he’s chatting with other clubs as well.
Potential Candidates
It isn’t yet certain who else the Halos have sat down with, but it seems there are some strong hunches. Fletcher tabs four internal possibilities: special assistants Brad Ausmus and Eric Chavez along with field personnel Dino Ebel (third-base coach) and Josh Paul (bench coach). Those looking for more reading on the topic may also want to check out this recent post from MLB.com’s Maria Guardado. She recently ran through some possible names to contemplate, included many of those covered above. While it’s not clear whether or not they’re considered candidates by the L.A. organization, Omar Vizquel (White Sox minor-league manager) and Joe McEwing (White Sox bench coach) are tabbed by Guardado as conceivable possibilities.

..... wait whats the scale on this. wait. i need math. fuck.
the intent of the strait is that it is wide enough that you cannot see the other side consistently, if at all. lets say that, at its thinnest (idk where that is just yet) its 500 kilometres wide. this safely or so guarantees that you cant see across. stellar. so approx 12mm (at 50% view) is 500km. lets say 10mm is 500km. which is. oof buddy. big. 1m =50km. lets go
well in a straight line from the southern port city (the one in the south, he military one) to Sinofis in the north (ignoring the river/lake in the way and just general meandering routes), its 50mm, or 2500km. jesus fucking christ. thats uhhhh holy fucking shit thats fucking adelaide to perth numbers. jesus christ. holy shit. uhhhhhh ok uhhhhmmmmmm..hmmm. well, ok, its still only a 5 day trip by bike (round to a week for the fact its horses and bitch need sleep). which is actually closer to the general length of time i wanted than my previous use of melbourne-sydney as a yard stick. i only chose that because its what im familiar with.
it would proooobably take longer than a week, though. lets say 2 weeks for the fct you dont wanna kill your horse and for all the other related shenanigannery involved in a fucking cross country trek of that scale.
but that... basically tracks. it makes Fovenis make a lot of sense too, as a middle point between the two major cities in the north and south. and the one in the west too, i guess. east doesnt count, thats naval shit.
worth noting that expansion westward via fovenis is way easier due to a buuunch of rivers that get it a lot of the way. and thats what the inland western city is for, too - to act as a way to then get land goods due west. not north as much, since the north west was fed by Sinofis more than anything else.
also that as the crow flies from Fovenis to the westernmost city is a whopping fucking 3000km like Bitch what the Fuck. those are melbourne to perth numbers. biggg fucking boy. thank god we got rivers for like, a third of that. fuck.
one issue is that this makes this country Very Fucking Tall. so either the south is cold, or the north is hot. we gotta pick one.
also uhhhh....... its uh...... the whole uh.... island??? the distant from west-eas is the distance between fucking paris and astana (capital of kazakhstan). that is, to put it charitably, Fucking Absurd. What the Fuck. ok we gotta fucking sqash this shit. this is too wide. this doesnt make sense. the island cant be that big. i mean i use ‘island’ generously, because thats a fucking Continent my dudes. that shits bigger than fucking australia in length and height, it just might be smaller in area due to chunks and shit. jesus christ. big fucking boys. gotta squash that shit horizontally.
ok now theyre like, squarish. its not a square but its even up down side side. which is lie, 3500km. still fucking big but like, not insurmountably fucking vast. i can now basically believe it was run by a single country for hundreds of years prior to the collision validating a western separatist movement and also Elves. stellar shit. ill fiddle with the shapes a lil more since squashing them made them look a little whacky but its nice. they even fit the canvas better now ;p
OH FUCK ISLANDS i forgot islands. also should probably add another big lake, lest this be australia. uhh where should it be. theres no real room on the east side due to them mountains and also fovenis is In the Way. west, i guess? lets find a lake spot. dya think its sea inflow or an outflow? inflow, i think. salty mother fucker.
ok this is fine
