Poppy Playtime chapter 3 was rlly somthing omg
The first two chapters were great and fun to play but chapter 3 is genuinely terrifying. Miss delight- hated her, daydog- I got chills seeing him in the prison cell, CatNap- really interesting but scary
And don't even get me started on the Hour of Joy and the big bodies initiative. Like the first 2 chapters made it seem like it just be another mascot scary game, but no it took such a dark turn and I'm lovinggg it.
#the big bodies genuinly made me squirm#like yeah when u get to the playcare its like ok they expirimented on kids#but no its acaully worse then just exposing them to the red gas#some of the kids actually got adopted#and the 'lucky' few got chosen for experiments#not only did they tear out their brains and nervous systems and put them in the smiling critters#they actualy forced the smiling critters to interact with the other kids#who used to be their friends#and then the hour of joy omg#like the name is just scary#i cant rlly blame the smiling critters for being easily influenced into reveng#like they are kids that were hurt#was the prototype just using them? probably#i like how theres not really a clear 'good side' in the game#bcs a lot of the workers didnt even know what went on behind the scene s#and just thought they were helping the kids#i do find it interesting how catnap always tried to keep the kids safe even during the hour of joy tho#ill stop rambling now lol#poppy speaks#poppy playtime chapter 3

oh man. so we're finally getting an expansion of the quirk prejudice? i think the full chapter needs to be released before i go in depth but i will say on a personal level im pretty happy to see it.
i will also say, i don't think hori is really trying to make a real world narrative about discrimination through this. while bnha has always to some extent been about quirk discrimination - this type of specific story doesn't seem appropriate or in line with the direction of the manga. this chapter is meant to be a story device that specifically touches on in universe issues.
it's about story-building much in the same way shinso has a villainous quirk or deku being quirkless is. i think people expecting like.. an indepth depiction of real-world issues are a bit delulu in this sense (everyone on twt..)
but it's a part of the bnha universe that i've very personally wanted expanded upon so i think this chapter accomplishes that. mostly im excited that we're actual getting an entire few chapters dedicated to the issue and to the story and im very very excited to see shouji!!!!!!
it's a bit mind-boggling that so many people found these leaks boring? im always delighted by chapters that expand story-building elements and appearance-based quirk prejudice has been something that i've found very interesting since it's appeared in bits and pieces for so much of the story.
either way i thought the chapter was very engaging !!!!! and it made me excited in a meta way!!!

Guys I think the writing for fire emblem engage is somehow worse than fire emblem fates. Im a longtime fire emblem fan, I've played every recent game, and this... this is just Awful lmfao
Im still having plenty of fun & I have my handful of characters I love soooo much. But God fucking damn this writing is just some of the worst I've ever seen in a game

Definitely my least favorite fire emblem game in many respects, but By God I'm going to finish this bitch and I'm gonna have plenty of fun as I do so. EXCEPT from a GAMEPLAY standpoint it's one of my least favorite fucking things in the game#you get used to this set of mechanics but halfway through you have to switch gears to an entirely different set of mechanics#and by the time you finally get everything back & ur army is full and whole. the game is almost over.#itd like that narrative choice SO MUCH MORE if it didnt set me back in such a major way & restrict total gameplay access to the End#every game has a slow trickle in of new characters so you dont have everyone until later in but EVEN THEN#you generally have everyone by 2/3rds way thru the game. then the last third you pick ur favs and u train them for the end#in this game. you dont get everyone until fucking chapter 23 of 26. my army is full and veyle is such a delight to have#but i only got her in CHAPTER. FUCKING. TWENTY THREE OF TWENTY SIX.#i just finished chapter 25. im nearly at the end. i love my main army but it feels like ive barely gotten to know them as a whole#bc it only finally formed TWO CHAPTERS AGO.#im just. god this game is so frustrating in a way ive NEVER experienced before. and ive played a lot of games!!!!!#like dont get me wrong im still having fun with it. i love a lot of the characters and the gameplay (now that i HAVE all of it) is So fun

You know, I've never been a fanfic person, and so far I've pretty much only read short one shots, I think I've read only one fic with many chapters and a bigger plot? But a few days ago I read a few Road 96 fics I bookmarked in the last few weeks, and turns out!! Two of them are unfinished. One lacks only the final chapter, and that one wasn't as interesting to me so I don't feel bad for not being able to finish it, but the other I got super invested in before I noticed it has only three chapters out of who knows how many. I understand now the hell of finding the perfect fic and having to wait for more. Ough

I feel like school kinda screwed with me that I need to take notes and annotate everything because most stuff I can’t directly annotate (esp not how they taught me to with different symbols meaning different things, a lot of things i at best get to color code with different highlighter colors which I have been told was an eyesore before lmao) but anyways now I have so much reading weekly that taking notes adds a lot of time to but I feel like I can’t retain any info without taking notes so now I’m kinda stuck lol
#I have to read 12 chapters of one of my books in the rest of this week and they’re not super long but it’s about the retention and being#able to peice stuff together from it for other things I have to do still#bro why can’t I read stuff for school like it’s fanfiction like I’d literally wipe it out in like an hour and a half#I try to simulate (simulate used loosely lmao) reading it by making articles scrollable instead of swiping pages when reading them and it#kinda does help#idk maybe I’m just not good at reading#AR tests were a lie I literally got a gold medal once by taking tests on books I read in kindergarten based off memory in 5th grade lollol#that and I did actually read some books with actual point value but still#those kindergarten books helped lol#pink thinks#and I don’t think the extra time is really added on by writing stuff out since I type all my notes#which I know is supposed to not be as good for retention#but trust me I’ve done the same thing handwritten and I still had the same issue#I can type faster than I can write#I do kinda have a crappy wpm tho I probably need to start working on it again 😔

#like…ok listen tht chapter was sad af#the thing about Mikey is tht I always gave him some grace because he clearly went through shit to turn out how he did#and he knew he had issues but he still tried to be as good as he could with the morals he learned from the important ppl in his life#it was interesting to see that despite Mikey’s parents being in his life for a short period of time they still had such a significant impact#on him like the way he latched into being strong because his father appeared to be strong and because of the way his mother talked about him#he wanted to be more like his father#also interesting to note is that Mikey doesn’t seem to have his own identity? i used to scoff at ppl who made theories about him not knowing#who he truly is but this proves it because he adopts the character traits of ppl he cares about#he did so with his dad his brother Baji draken izana (funnily enough) etc in the future timelines#the relationship his mom had with his dad was odd tho#were they married.. were they still together when he died because if so tht means he cheated on her a little bit before he died since Emma#is a year younger than Mikey but the mom still talked about him like she loved him and even accepted Emma since Emma seemed genuinely hurt#over her death - I will say the mom was a bit ..weird why would you only talk about his father when you’re talking to your kid? why not#talk about yourself or talk to Mikey about things other than being strong I understand he was fixated on strength but she could’ve stirred#it away from being the constant topic of conversation when they talked like how he’s doing and how he can take care of himself mentally#she was good in telling him that being strong doesn’t mean you don’t cry tho#also something odd I noted was how Mikey said he hated weak guys who cried easily like…? thts literally shinichiro#and you made it seem like everything you did was as a result of your brother and tht you admired him so much#thts literally the only reason he cared about takemichi 😭 I just find it weird because by tht point shinichiro was the main one taking care#of him and Emma while in a gang and inspired him to be in a gang yet he hated ppl like him and seemed to even after seeing shinichiro lead#his own gang..#now onto the whole sanzu and Baji thing again I believe Wakui is shoehorning Sanzu into Mikey’s story because he was supposedly there from#the beginning yet wasn’t considered to be in the original toman and wasn’t close to Mikey like Baji was or draken was who he met later on#he can’t be like Mikey asked sanzu and he refused bc we see sanzu is up his ass so why wouldn’t he do it?#he can spin it like he thought sanzu was weak tho but again it wouldn’t make sense because how he was when he came in contact with Takemichi#would show he didn’t care and would be open to it - it just makes no sense#but whatever I wanna see how this goes because now we’re seeing Draken’s reintroduction and I can’t wait to see how he positively impacted#Mikey just like he did with mitsuya#tokyo revengers spoilers#Tokyo revengers 263

Seriously tho the way his daredevil run likes introducing cool story ideas that have the potential for really fun character dynamics and then just. not pay that off. and just in general pretend characters have Deep and Meaningful relationships when said relationships were completely unexplored in his writing
#case in point matt being super mad that kingpin killed his bro#when every single interaction theyd had prior was hostile on matts ends#and not even a single thought/line of dialgoue suggesting he cared for his brother#also remember when foggy/kirsten/mike were gonna defend matt in court and i got so hyped for some fun interactions?#and then nothing came from it?#or when matt brought foggy along his lame trip to take down the hand and just barely acknowledged him in the next chapter?#AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON MATT AND ELEKTRAS RELATIONSHIP#even tho they’re married now it feels like they have no chemistry#the only part of the current run that i remember being like. good in terms of character#was when all his superhero friends staged an intervention after he accidentally killed someone#or the mike murdock daredevil annual#wheres that energy. the comics are so boring rn#damn I’m really just being a negative namcy this weekend what’s going on#amy reads daredevil

#Absolutely the best chapter in gakuen (tho the yasukiyo one where they both complain about being treated as a pair#but also yasusada beat some guys up when they started talking shit about kashuu is good too)#but yeah like the way they drew his right eye here. with the white(?) pupil#contrasted with his gold left eye with the cats pupil#and idk ig theres this event that you he planned for kasen and otegine where On The Surface its just this#haunted house type challenge thing where they have to go into the woods at night to put aburaage on the shrine in there#and its overly spooky with cheap scares as arranged by horikawa#But Is That All To It#he didnt do this just to scare them did he. in fact when hthey got too scared he went in to do it with them#and once theyd laid an offering on the forest shrine and everyone was busy talking amongst themselves.#That's when he and ishikirimaru had the chance to do what they really came to do. purify the evil#kasen and the others were on That side. ishikirimaru is on This side. and nikkari visited both#god i really really love all concepts relating to his right eye#whether its just like his left but red (they arent so different this side and that)#or whether it glows unnaturally bright with an unliving fire or its lifelessly dull#the bothness and neitherness of nikkari aoe#and also hes bisexual#gemitus#tkrb
