Video Game/ Polyglot idea
I’ve had this in my drafts for a while, but the Youtuber Ikenna is making a language learning app, and I want to put this out there to get this made by someone even if not him. Apps are cool, but video games are better. If you’re a gamer and a language learner, please spread this idea around!!!
Imagine a video game that involves learning your target language, like Duolingo but actually fun. It would be an open world and would begin with your customized character waking up from a deep slumber in a postapocalyptic foreign land while knowing minimal amounts of the language. You’d take a diagnostics test to start in order to decide how much of the language your avatar will know.
Your character’s first task would be to find the exit to the area that they spawned in. This would involve interacting with different items and different players in that same area but only in your target language. The game would need to be online for this to work. Ideally, in this arena, there would be people from all over the world who are at all different levels of comprehension of this language in this stage working towards the same goal of finding the exit and making it to their next checkpoint.
Now, I recognize that for some players that goal may be easier due to their understanding of the language. So, the higher you score on your diagnostics test, the harder it will be to find the exit. This will be a common theme throughout the game: the better you do with understanding, the harder the tasks will be. This will be one way of tracking progress.
There will also be different rankings and powers that you can acquire to help you survive in this world. The rankings will be based on how well you would grow to understand different concepts. Other players would also be able to see your rankings for different concepts, and they would be able to try and create a party with you for different missions based on your skills and abilities. For example, if someone is really good at past tense conjugation, and there's a mission involving a flashback, others can opt in to having them in their party to help with the completion of the mission.
As for skills, those would be based on how you learn. For example, if someone learns better through oral comprehension via music, they may be given the title of bard and the power to influence people with songs and whatnot. Someone who is more of a hands-on learner would be given the title of warrior or shopkeep, it all depends on how you interact with things and have increased strength or increased persuasive and intuitive capabilities.
For those who reach the game's equivalent of language fluency, they would have the option of being able to move forward to a new, language learning, world free of charge, I’m thinking without having to buy an expansion pack, or they’d be able to become a part of that world’s high council which will involve a lot of different perks that still need to be worked out, but I’m positive one perk would be a tutor in which they’d receive a weekly allowance/stipend of that world’s premium currency that would be based on every person that they tutor.

Funny things that I did as a Muslim convert:
When I first converted to Islam, and before, I did a lot of funny/ weird stuff. Here’s a small list of those things.
1. Almost drowned myself when making wudu for the first time.
2. Was too afraid to ask if things were halal so I became a vegetarian for a little while.
3. I was really shy about praying around others so when around other Muslims I’d opt to pray in a closet instead.
4. I was afraid of saying salams.
5. This was my first hijab picture circa January 2016
2020 update:
6. While learning arabic desperately searched for meme sakin examples following meme sakin.
