It’d been while since Kieran had had lunch with Phoebe, so his silence as he sat there pulling the paper straw he had no plans of using was unusual to say the least. Finally he stirred out of his thoughts when he heard her say his name, looking up at Phoebe as he said. “Sorry, what’d you say Ma? I was...distracted.”

"They do, huh? Why is that?"
Phoebe had to ask, tilting her head the slightest bit as she met his gaze. She remembered the last time she had visited a haunted place, that nearly hadn't ended that well for her. So she was hesitant, not eager to relive that experience. Then again, being a witch she knew she would easily be able to tell if the house really was haunted or not. And she couldn't deny that a part of her was curious..
“Haunted,” Clark confirmed, giving her a look which signified ‘I’ll go if you do’. “I’ve heard that every person who has ever died still lives within its walls, trapped there forever, destined to haunt and scare away any potential buyers. I bet you’ve never heard of a house like that before, it’s basically begging for us to give it a look. Plus, I don’t really have a choice, my editor wants an article on it by tomorrow morning.”

Seeing Is Believing

Since magic had been exposed there wasn’t a single spot in the entire universe that felt safe. Many magical beings retreated to the Underworld which realistically was just as dangerous as the world above, but they didn’t have to hide who they were. Those who knew of the Power of Three expected them to fix this, yet when Phoebe Halliwell had landed herself in jail and was set for execution that “ideal” or “hope” seemed lost.
Charlie Mercer belonged to a trio of his own as he had two elder brothers. They were Phoenix Witch/Archai hybrids whom typically laid low especially being chastised by most for being half Phoenix Witches. He was gifted with precognitive powers similar to Phoebe’s but could not light a flame to even touch the candle that was The Power of Three. He wouldn’t have paid much attention to her or even the family had he not gotten himself caught and thrown in the cell next to Phoebe at the Witch Hunter’s facility. The shock inhibiter collars were a thing worse than evil with the way it blocked their abilities. He’d kept quiet for a few days even when Phoebe had tried to initiate conversation.
“I know who you are. Pretty funny. Two “seeing” witches and we couldn’t even predict the outcome of this...” He licked his dry lips and glanced over to Phoebe’s cage. “Don’t suppose you’ve thought of a way out of this?”
