7 Advantages of Being Organized

Being organized at home or in the workplace is something that can enhance the quality of your life. Wondering how? Let me break it down for you.

Your brain is always scanning the environment for cues of things that require effort or energy. When your surroundings are disorganized, the brain perceives that the tasks at hand require more energy than your current capacity. So this triggers a stress response. Today was my final day of training at The Container Store before we open on Saturday, and I’m seriously emotional about this incredible journey. I’ve worked for a lot of different companies, but the attention to detail at TCS is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. In addition to all the in-depth training classes, today we met with some of the buyers for the company and walked through the whole store and talked about almost every single product and their many different uses. At the end of the day they gave everyone a box full of products worth over $200! I’ve never seen a company treat its employees as well as TCS does.
