Top 5 seasons that deserve a sequel?
I think deserve isn't quite the right word, because a sequel for the sake of there being a sequel is almost always going to result in something significantly worse than the original, leading to disappointment. If I didn't trust everyone involved so completely, I'd be terrified of fhjy for exactly that reason.
That said, my top 5 worlds I'd love to revisit, with the note that what I'd be more interested in is exploring the world with new characters, as opposed to a direct sequel:
1- A Court of Fey and Flowers. Above all else- plot, combat, whatever else, I love characters. I'll sit through the worst media of all time if I like the characters enough. That is absolutely not what would happen with an ACOFAF season 2- my point is that the way Aabria put together 5e and Good Society made for such incredible insight into the characters and their relationships with the world, each other, and themselves. I'd love to see more of that, and, of course, the nature of the fey worlds has infinite possibilities for incredible settings and stories.
2- A Crown of Candy. I fucking love Calorum and would love to go back, and with ACOC being Candia-focused and Ravening War being more Calorum-focused but about how the sausage gets made in the shadows, there's a lot of potential for awesome stories in different nations.
3- A Starstruck Odyssey. Noticing a theme yet? Space is vast, and so are the opportunities for shenanigans.
4- Mentopolis. At this point you know this song. It's a rich, fascinating world, and especially if other people's heads are an option, there's a ton of room to play and explore in new ways.
5- Neverafter. Folklore is as old, widespread, and diverse as humanity. I get why Neverafter was Brothers Grimm, but now that the universe has been established with characters and stories that are more... mainstream, I guess is the term? I'd love to see stories from other cultures, especially told by people from those cultures.
apparently necessary (going by the notes of other top 5 posts i've made) disclaimer: these are just my opinions i am not saying this is any sort of definitive list. a conversation about other ones you'd like to see is great. telling me my opinions are wrong or phrasing it like "i can't believe you forgot/left out x" is a shitty thing to do. don't fucking do it.
