Nobunaga hummed in delight at the taste of Yakiniku. A customer had suggested the restaurant to him after learning of his passion for cooking. The meat was prepped wonderfully and they gave excellent sides to enhance the flavors… If only he brought a few spices from home he could really make things perfect.
The Emperor was distracted from the wonderful food by a voice calling for a table for one. Glancing at the door he noticed an angelic woman waiting to be seated. It was almost a crime for such a beauty to be eating alone on a friday night! Thankful to be near the door, Nobu sat up tapping the woman on her shoulder.
“Why don’t you join me for dinner, ms? This is my first time here so I seem to have ordered too much. It would be a shame to waste the food and such wonderful company.”
Hinata had just ended a particularly brutal training session with her cousin and was now treating herself to some dinner. What better place than Yakiniku? Most of her friends came here to treat themselves after training or missions. Hinata could already feel the bruises forming and the numb tingle of her chakra flowing back into their previously cut off points as she spoke with the hostess.
As she was asking for a table, someone tapped her on the shoulder. Their voice reached her ears just moments before her ghostly lavender-white eyes met his gaze. As soon as she looked at him, her cheeks promptly heated up, turning a color reminiscent of a tomato
“O-oh!” she gasped in surprise “I-i um...A-ah... A-Arigato”

Sadly, Shino died due to plot contrivance five minutes later. Is now a ghost. Ironically, looks about the same as he did in life. Sort of just floats around looking nonplussed about everything.

Well there were two reasons, but she wasn’t exactly excited to admit the other one. She still wasn’t sure Shino even thought of her that way and she couldnt really handle another rejection.
