yes but he didn't exactly have a choice. he went into labor basically the instant the seal was broken and shit progressed fast. he didn't even have time to get out of the labyrinth he located the artifact in before the contractions were too strong and quick for him to walk and he ended up having to sit himself against a wall to ride them out.
