I finally started my second playthrough of Kirby star allies which is arguably the better Kirby game on switch and yes I'm completely biased because it has Marx in it
#look forgotten planet was not what i was expecting#and it was way too easy#whereas star allies was kinda disappointing since i thought the announced dlc was already included day 1#but the fact that the game was beautiful and fun and there were so many cool copy abilities outweighed that#i'll play forgotten planet again at some point but with the exception of the new dedede them#i doubt i'll ever love it as much as star allies#and that's fine!#star allies isn't even my top fave!#superstar ultra still is!#but star allies us so close behind that because of the dlc characters being past franchise characters#i never expected in 2018 to see marx reappear in not one but two games since sakurai put him in smash#and it was a beautiful thing#the friend abilities in star allies are top tier and watching my favorite past franchise characters do their moves is wonderful#whereas with forgotten planet there were never the range of copy abilities and such that i had hoped for#nor did it actually contain a really open world#the carnival world was the best and even that was pretty lackluster#the final boss was amazing but it didn't have the impact that star allies did when it put all your helpers up on screen with you#i did not mean to ramble this much about kirby i am very passionate about this franchise though
