"She's always been like that." Maki replies, "I'm used to it but even I get surprised sometimes."

The last he'd seen Purr since Ice came over, she'd made her way from the couch and the sideboard. So finding her in the small kitchen area wasn't too surprising... but finding her in the upper cupboard, when the door had been shut and there wasn't a clear indication of how she got in? Unexpected.

She meowed down at them with a pleased purr, apparently she'd been looking to get caught up on her perch. She might've just been trying to nap while waiting for it even.

"I think she got up that high deliberately because at least you can reach her." He adds with a shrug, "I guess that means she likes you and wanted to play, if that's true. She doesn't get up to high places that I can't reach that often."

That's an interesting question. Frankly he never knows what he's going to do day to day, let alone planning an entire weekend.

"I think I'd just like a few days where I see everyone I've met recently at once again, like with the contest." He shrugs, "I don't really mind what we do, if something fun is happening I'd be open to maybe trying it. But I'd like to see Aedynn, Ice, and Leon again throughout this...hypothetical weekend. I think that sounds nice."

He stares blankly like these words are nearly completely foreign to him. He hops down off of his chair and comes back with a cd player and a cd that is absolutely not his, and plays the cd.

"Whatever this is. Ice likes it, I don't know it well. But I think it's good."

"I was supposed to." He answers with a low grumble. "I think it's likely too late now, it might've already happened, or… I don't know."

If this question had been asked awhile before, he would've had an answer without any hesitation. Even now he opens his mouth to speak and he wants to say her name, as though no one else could ever compare. But then again, he was trying to move on from the life that she'd brought him into. He was steadily learning that the sort of life she'd brought him into was… not at all what it should have been.

"…I think I'd rather be bothering Ice right now. Does that count?" He finally answers. Obviously conflicted and reluctant, but it wasn't a lie regardless.

how are you doing?

Verse: Bungou Stray Dogs

This is a funny question, he thinks the interviewer must think he used to live in one of the buildings now burned to a crisp. He can't blame them, he's looking like a lost child wandering through Yokohama… however, he's also not in the mood for this in the least.

"I'm fine." He answers curtly. "I don't live here, I just wanted to see what was going on." See the damage he did.

Blaire had gotten sick in the middle of the contest, and in Maki's mind the show couldn't have gone on without her for certain. It did suck to have to cancel what he'd worked so hard on though, and he sits alone at the beach while humming the tune to his song of choice.

"I think he's nice, it's fun to wander around Adreffe and talk. I know he sort of thinks I should have a life like a more normal kid but, I don't know what normal is like. I guess my normal involves bothering him more than he expected."

"He always sort of seems like he has a lot on his mind, though. Sometimes when I run into him, I've wondered if I'm interrupting something he was thinking hard about. It seems pretty clear that we've both been through things, after the Budding Blossoms event... I haven't really been sure if it's my place to ask what he thinks about, and what lead him to doing that event."

Despite the fact he'd been assured that it wasn't that big of a deal, he was still determined to actually get Ice at least a late birthday present. Probably a treat that he'd seen him get before and he seemed to like, and he wasn't going to accept no for an answer about it either.

But hanging out again afterwards, he doesn't know why but he feels... alright somehow, discussing a bit about his experiences with Ice. Neither of them ever stated anything in particular that they went through but it felt... familiar. He hasn't had the nerve to ask if Ice ran away from something just like he did, he's afraid to admit that. But evidently he lets something slip that gets Ice's attention, enough to prompt him to hug Maki.

He has no idea exactly which part of what he said prompted this, on first impulse he wants to ask if everything is okay. But he knows logically it had something to do with something he said or did, and he doesn't know how to feel about the fact he doesn't know what in particular. But despite this, he does hug him back.

"It's okay. I'm... okay now, I think anyway. Or... maybe I'm better now that I have people I can talk to, at least."

"You are one of the people I can thank for that so, thank you."
