The Academy nominating Ryan Gosling but not Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig literally prove the point of the movie.

If I were anyone associated with Barbie at this point (they just announced best costumes) I would leave. This is disrespectful to the movie that defined cinema this year.
To be clear, best supporting actress is not included in this. Da'Vine Joy Randolph did a phenomenal job in the Holdovers and the category was more competitive than 90% of the awards tonight.

This amazing woman died shortly after the Academy FINALLY apologized to her for the hell they put her through.
Sacheen Littlefeather was an amazing actress, model, activist…most of her life was fighting for what was right. Im glad people are finally noticing her in a proper light and she knew it…but sad it took way too damn long.
John Wayne wanted to punch her on stage, taking the stand for Brando led to her being blacklisted. And she just kept on truckin

“Just feel like, the fans have created that atmosphere for me and it’s kind of—the room is this energy that almost feels like too magical for me to kind of take any responsibility for. I think it’s probably the thing I’m proudest of in my life, is this, this feeling that is in the room, that I get to experience every night when I go on stage. It’s probably like the greatest—I mean playing for an amazing group of people every night is my favorite, favorite thing to do.”
-Harry on his relationship with performing for his fans.
