Giving you the benefit of the doubt when you said you didn’t articulate your initial post how you intended, but with the post as it is, it does say you found it weird to see June and girl Roxy existing in the same space often in fancontent, and with the way it’s worded, it’s hard to extrapolate that you meant “I’m tired of the vehement insistence on June’s canon-ness when the same insistence isn’t extended to Meatroxy because I believe they’re both equally as ‘canon’” when the post reads “I’m annoyed that it’s not Meatroxy I often see depicted with June” which like, obviously the content makers have no obligation to do that
To reiterate: the thing I have an issue with that some people, a loud minority from what I've noticed, will essentially act as if depicting Egbert in any way other than as June in is inherently and completely transmisogynistic, regardless of context, but then turn around and argue that depicting Roxy as female (trans or cis) is completely fine because the epilogues and hs^2 aren't canon even though, by that logic, neither is the Toblerone ARG.
Personally, I don't give a fuck if people depict Roxy as female. What I give a fuck about is this double standard where a character's dubiously canon transfemme-ness is treated as an indisputable fact of their character and word of god, whereas another character's dubiously canon transmasc-ness is treated as ignorable or problematic. You can't have one but not the other. If people are going to die on the hill of any and all versions of Egbert being inherently transfemme, then they should apply that same logic and energy to Roxy, but they don't.
THAT, anon, is what my issue is with this situation. Not the fact that June exists, not that people even depict her together with female Roxy in their content (although I will be honest, it's not my favourite fancontent to consume), but that there is a genuine issue in the homestuck fandom of the fetishization of transfemmes and the disregarding of transmascs.
This is just a personal anecdote but from what I've noticed, most of the people who are who vehement about June but willing to ignore Roxy are cis, I happen to think that's a bit concerning, if other people don't then that's fine, but I'm not going to not voice said concern.
I apologise again for that original post, I should've worded it better, but my point still stands
