On Swatching
I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Graphic Design, which I have maybe used for paying work 5 times in my life. And the only courses I really enjoyed were the required studio ones. Transitioning from real life medium to digital painting was a breeze, except...
Well, I'm an Aries. You can't tell an Aries anything, especially when they've somehow picked up Taurus traits even though the 12th ain't really a 'cusp'. And that + neurospiciness?
Pfft, no patience AND stubborn as a steer.
But I realized something in my digital painting time. You can't fudge the details. If you want it to look the way it looks in your head - that problem so common to artists with the inner eye that knows what it is you're trying to do - you cannot skimp. You cannot rush it. You have to go back to that one spot and put those details in. You have to take the time required to do something that looks good to you. The good/fast/cheap triangle doesn't really exist here, not for personal work. No one is paying you more to try and make things good and also quickly. In a lot of ways until you get better and more practiced you simply can't.
You have to do the work. All the work. The boring stuff, too. You'll feel like you're gonna die if it's not done soon. But the effort is actually noticeable.
When I got into fiber arts I forgot that lesson. Surely no one needs to SWATCH to make scarves and mittens and baby blankets. Gauge isn't relevant!
I have a finished object that's a garment. I won't show it here because I'm too ashamed to look at it. I spent literal months trying to perfect that garment. I messed up the front panel of it so badly once and the yarn had already gotten so terrible on it that I had to re buy two balls of yarn to re-knit it from scratch. I blocked it. I wove the ends in like a champ.
I never swatched. I thought to myself - I've knit this woman's patterns before. I did swatches then. It should be fine.
It was completely different fiber content.
The result was a tank top that was far too wide and far too short, with uneven straps and incorrect shaping. And all of that pain and spent time and spent money could have been avoided if I'd swatched.
Recently I just frogged another thing because instead of making a real swatch, blocking it, and checking, I stretched the stitches out on my needle and held them down with something heavy, got out a ruler, and figured my 'cheat blocking' would be enough.
Guess what. It wasn't. Now I'm frogging and going back down a needle. The pile of very annoyed superwash yarn ramen that is getting a bit natty and catching on itself is judging me. I'M judging me.
Sometimes, if you want it to look the way it's 'supposed' to look, the way the other projects do, the way the samples do, the way you know in your artist's eye you need it to - You have to do the work. Even the boring parts. Even those stupid swatches.
That failed tank top stays in a drawer. It'd make a great oversized crop top, I guess. I'll knit another one some day soon.
Hopefully this is the last time I heave to learn this lesson.

SNOWY ESCAPE - CAS REVIEW ❄️
I've literally spent the last two weeks wishing I had the alpha build back, just so I could use CAS again. 🙈 Pretty safe to say that I really enjoyed this one!
Tumblr media
I was provided with an early access copy of Snowy Escape to review via the EA Game Changers program!
I know I normally keep it pretty chill at the start of my reviews, but I have been waiting to complain about this since literally October 21st.
Let me write paint you a picture - you’ve just opened Snowy Escape for the very first time and you’re excited! You scroll through the new clothes - most of them are lovely. And oh, what’s this? A jacket sweater thing? You look through the swatches - lovely neutral color combinations that are super usable. Only one swatch left to look at and it’s THIS WEIRDO.
Tumblr media
WHO DECIDED THAT THIS WAS THE WINNING COMBINATION. W H O
Now to be fair, there’s also a weird pink swatch... but at least it keeps with the ‘solid colors’ theme. Where did the stripes come from, EA?
All jokes aside, there’s honestly very little I disliked about this pack. There’s a few glitches, but most of my complaints are purely nitpicking.
Tumblr media
Since we’re already here, let’s talk glitches. I continue to wonder if quality control tests clothes on all body types, because this is just glaringly obvious.
I did report the first glitch during my time in alpha (glad to see it was fixed! 🙃), but didn’t catch the second until I was dressing a thicker waisted granny earlier today.
One of my favorite things about Sims 4 is the ability to have different body types, especially when compared to the whopping two choices from Sims 2. Honestly though, what’s the point when clothes don’t fit correctly?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thankfully, the majority of CAS is really nice. The items themselves aren’t too stylized (which is always a concern with a themed pack), but there’s still loads of fun patterns for your more colorful sims.
I was a little worried going into the pack that we’d either get all casual clothes or all outdoor cold weather attire. In my opinion, the sims team did a really good job of giving us a mix of both!
Tumblr media
It’s hard to imagine players not having Seasons, but they’re definitely out there! During alpha, we only had the base game. It all made me wonder - how useable is the cold weather gear for those who don’t have Seasons?
Without Seasons, the only area with cold weather is Mt. Komorebi itself. It’s really nice that those players will get to experience snow, but it’s a pretty limited area. Four lots, an onsen, some slopes, a hiking trail, and a trek up the mountain. With easily half of the assets being geared towards bundling up, I think I would have preferred one or two more casual pieces instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I say this every review lately, and I’m just all but positive I’ve been yelling about it since Get Famous. BUT THE TEXTURES! THE DETAILS! ✨
The first time I turned the first sweater around, I actually gasped. I just love the details on items like these - you don’t necessarily spend a whole lot of time considering what the back of your sim looks like (or maybe you do, no judgement), so seeing things like this brings a little bit more ‘life’ to the sims for me.
It’s definitely worth noting - the shirt underneath the feminine sweater matches a new skirt! So you can pair the two for a really nice dress effect.
Tumblr media
Toddlers aren’t left out of this pack, which is always an absolute delight to type! All but a few of the adult hairstyles are also available for the little ones, and they get some super cute new clothes.
For some reason, I didn’t snap a picture of any snow gear. Thankfully, @mysteriousdane took literally the cutest picture I’ve ever seen. Her CAS shots from this pack are amazing, as usual. Be sure to give her posts a look! ❤️
Tumblr media
Kiddos get some of my favorite outfits, honestly. That cardigan outfit? The flower dress? The jacket with those wonderful jeans?!
Just like toddlers, the kids get most of the adults hairs as well, but with one notable exception -
Tumblr media
This is literally my favorite hair in the whole pack, and it’s not available for adults. Choices like this honestly just confuse me - you’ve taken the time to convert new hair to be usable for all ages, but this specific hair is age locked? Why?
Tumblr media
Last, but certainly not least, school uniforms!
All students in Mt. Komorebi will wear these automatically when attending school. Students in other worlds will still attend school in their normal clothes, but there’s nothing to stop you from dressing them in these yourself! Thankfully, they aren’t locked in CAS.
Tumblr media
Rounding out CAS is two new traits and two new aspirations.
PROPER These sims tend to disapprove of other sims improper behavior such as mean or mischievous socials, but find themselves happier in formal outfits and have a much easier time with friendly and romantic socials.
ADVENTUROUS These sims seek out new and unique experiences!
I did play with both traits, and Proper was by far my favorite. It gives a cute spin on existing interactions - like courting a sim or getting ‘respectfully closer’.
The two new aspirations - Mt. Komorebi Sightseer and Extreme Sports Enthusiast are pretty much summed up in the title.
The sightseer aspiration feels a lot like the other location aspirations from City Living and Island Living. I would love to see a different take on these types of aspirations in future packs. They’re far too easy - it just doesn’t feel like a whole lot of thought goes into them.
Tumblr media
All in all, I really enjoyed CAS in this pack. If you have Seasons, I’d go as far as to consider it a must have (not just for CAS, but the pack as a whole). If you don’t have Seasons, weigh the pros and cons! You’re getting a lot of cold weather stuff that I really don’t think you’ll use outside of Mt. Komorebi.

Annie Cardigan | February - March, 2021
Happy International Women’s Day!
The pattern and colours of this cardigan are chosen specifically with Women’s Day in mind, and is named after the first woman to gain honours at Oxford, Annie Mary Anne Henley Rogers. She gained her first class honours in Latin and Greek in 1877, followed by first class honours in Ancient History in 1879, and finally matriculated and graduated in 1920.
A lot has happened in the recent few months which made me re-consider my degree at Oxford, but I have never regretted going there or doubted the value of the experience. I have been taught by so many lovely women teachers and professors and met so many fellow female students—which made me sometimes forget the gender inequality in academia and in schools of all ages—and it almost feels like nothing can make me give up the opportunity to be welcomed in this place where I am expected to actually achieve something.
Aren’t I lucky?
This cardigan is probably my last big project until July, because after a long struggle, I’ve decided to finish what I started—I will need to pass the exams in order to continue my study. Today is one of those good days where I feel connected to the world, and I must cherish my opportunity at Oxford because it hasn’t been an easy fight.
There might be a life waiting for me somewhere. Maybe it’s not going to be too bad. Maybe I just need to push myself a little harder. To eat a bit more, to exercise a bit more (not to. lose weight but to be ready for the long hikes in the summer vacation), and to talk a bit more when I feel like it.

Pattern
Once and Floral by Maxim Cyr.
It was a very simple top-down yoke sweater and the instruction was clear. I set myself a difficult task by deciding to make a cardigan instead and doing the body in flat rather than in the round, which meant doing stranded colourwork from the purl side.
The only problem with the pattern was that the required gauge seemed very odd to me. It was 26sts*30 rows in a 10cm square and the author used a standard fingering weight yarn (400m/100g) and 3.5mm needles. I used a light fingering weight yarn and 3.25 needles, which theoretically should make a tighter gauge, but got around 25sts*34 rows per 10cm. Maybe if I pulled my swatch vertically when blocking, I could have achieved what the pattern asked for, which was very tight in stitch gauge but very loose in row gauge. Thankfully it didn’t create too much trouble for me and I had only a few small mods. (Please refer to the Modification section.)
I am becoming more aware of the accessibility issues of Ravelry, and will try to discover more patterns that are available outside of Ravelry. I have access to books by Japanese designers, but if you know any good source for large, complicated, heirloom lace shawls, please let me know!
Yarn
Isager Alpaca 2, 50% alpaca, 50% wool. 250m per 50g skein.
White: (from the Eco range of Alpaca 2) #E0. I used about 30g (11g left from a used ball), or 150m.
Green: #thyme. I used about 168g (52g left from the four skeins I used), or 840m.
Purple: #52. I used about 10g (44g left), or 50m.
(I find that most skeins are a little more than 50g, so the figures are not exact. The usage of the #thyme also includes two small swatches. The whole cardigan weighs 205g without buttons.)
I’ve worked with this yarn before in my Scandinavian Spring cardigan, and this time I’m very pleased with it as well. It is made of natural fibres and has a nice wooly smell. It creates a thin, soft, and warm fabric that grows and puffs up after blocking. In fact, the Isager website specifically recommends it for cardigans.
The down side of such a soft yarn is obviously that it’s not as hard-wearing as some of the more rustic woolen yarns (such as Tukuwool Fingering). The website does state that it’s not able to handle too much wear and tear, but that is okay for me since both this cardigan and my Scandinavian Cardigan are very special and I do not expect to wear them as everyday garments.
These skeins did have travelled a long way to reach me, so I need to keep the carbon emission in mind. I purchased them from a local yarn store which bulk-ordered from the Isager website, though, so at least that’s better than buying small amounts directly from the Isager store. For this specific project, I only had to buy two more skeins of #thyme and one skein of #52, and the rest came from my stash.
Tumblr media
(Can you see the heathered effect on this swatch? I'm swooning 😍)
Other materials
I used freshwater mother of pearl buttons. I’m not sure about the source of these buttons, but I understand that freshwater mussels are very important to the ecological systems in which they live (as are all other species), and I do hope that they come from responsible farming.
As for the thread to sew on the buttons, I opted for Fujix Patchwork Coton #50, which is 100% cotton with a coating that makes it a bit glossier, stiffer, and presumably stronger than the average cotton thread.
Needle sizes
3.25mm for the main body
2.5mm for the ribbing, because I like the ribbing to hug my body snugly and was worried about it being stretched out.
Finished size
I no longer think it’s relevant to take excessive measurements of my finished project, so I will only note the essential figures that might help me (or you) if trying to figure out how many stitches to cast on, how to adjust the yoke, etc.
Underarm circumference: 82cm
Total length of the yoke chart: 16cm
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Three ways to wear the cardigan, and the white bordering with which I'm so pleased - see Mod.)
Modifications
The most obvious mod is of course that I changed it from a pullover to a cardigan. Normally you would still knit in the round and steek the front later, but in order to preserve the yarn, I knitted the body back and forth.
I casted on 110sts instead of 120 because I was hoping for a tight collar. Then in the first row I increased to 120sts.
For the colourwork yoke, there were a few rows where I had only three or four sts of one colour in a repeat and the remaining sts are all in other colours (such as the rows showing the stamen), and for me it wasn’t worth it to carry the yarn of that colour all the way along the row. Hence I used a separate length of yarn to knit those few stitches in each repeat. For the stamen, I cut a length of green yarn for each repeat and knitted it in intarsia.
I did the body first. And then I was hesitant about the design of the hemming, button bands, and the collar, so I did them (in the order I mentioned them) before knitting the sleeves to save some brain power. I had seven button holes, one on the collar band and the rest on the button band, similar to the front of a shirt. The third button was specifically placed to echo the design of the yoke.
The pattern called for 1*1 ribbing, but I did 2*2 as it was stretchier. I did invisible 2*2 bind off with a decorative lining, and the technique is similar to what I did with my Toscana Shrug: after several rows of 2*2 ribbing in green, I switched to white and did one more row of ribbing. Then in white I bound off using the invisible method. You need to knit one row in the contrasting colour before binding off; otherwise it would look somewhat messy.)
You may know that when you change colours, there will be a dotted line on the purl side, and the same thing happens for the ‘purl’ part of the ribbing. I was really worried, but the invisible bound off seemed to have covered up that dotted line, so the result was quite neat—a nice surprise!
For each of the sleeve, I have 74sts on the set up row. I knitted 10 rows, then from next row: (dec 2 for the row, knit nine more rows) repeat five times. So at about elbow length I had five dec rows and 64sts on the needles. I knitted 51 rows to create a straight (instead of tapered) forearm. Then I dec 4 each row for five rows, and ended up with 44sts. I then switched to 2.5mm needles and did 2*2 ribbing. I knitted the ribbing extra long so that I could fold it back, which was the way I preferred.
(Here is a tutorial by Anushka about sewing buttons onto knitted garments, which is very helpful.)
Further Considerations
This was my first time doing colourwork from the purl side and it definitely was not a pleasant job. With more practice I will hopefully become better at it, though! I did reserve knitting (knitting from left to right) instead of purling for a few rows, but gave up as I couldn’t find a way to hold yarn comfortably with my left hand. I might need more practice there, too.
The ribbing is a little bit on the tight side, but at the moment I don’t have a problem with it. If I find it still too tight after some wear, next time I will remember to use 2.75mm needles. The 44sts cuffs are quite snug on my wrists, so next time I’ll do 48sts or more instead.
I still have a fair bit of Isager Alpaca 2 left, and I really need some long gloves to warm my wrists as well as forearms, so I might be knitting a pair of fingerless gloves later.

Races, cameras, shifting- oh boy!
Laura's tiny legs were aching as she tried to keep up with Danny's long and powerful stride. Her heart sank and her ears began ringing when the elder woman told her what she assumed was the worst possible news, and the fast pace that both girls kept wasn't alleviating that feeling. Laura's camera bounced against her chest painfully, her hand tried to clamp down onto it so it would stop swinging erratically, but every so often her foot would hit a rut in the ground and there went flying her arms to try to keep her steady. She had just done it for the fifth time when she huffed out a breath and turned her attention to Danny.
“I thought we had one more week before the Sand got here,” she began, not being surprised when Danny didn't say anything back. The worried expression on the redhead's brow frightened Laura, but the girl still continued, “I guess magical creatures are extremely early all the time, huh. What with them being thousands of years old and all- there isn't any time for waiting, am I right?”
“There isn't anyone in the Sand that is over a thousand years old,” Danny replied absently.
Laura's heart leapt, happy to have gotten a word edge wise out of the amazon, but shook her smile away. “Was everything prepared? I mean I know all the Summers were working their butts off so it had to have been all done, right?”
“It's not really about that, Laura.”
Then what it is about? Laura bit her lip, her mind racing to determine what Sand members would look like when she noticed they were almost to the Summer's building. This was it. She was finally going to see a supernatural creature up close and personal! Her slightly sweaty hand curled around her camera expectantly, and it seemed like all concern had left her little body. Racing behind Danny, the woman not taking a moment to stop as she walked straight into the building. The door was strangely open, and Laura followed dutifully behind her.
What she expected was a telltale sign of an extraordinary factor, but when she turned her head towards Mel and a brunette Laura had never seen before there was nothing strange about her. She firstly thought it was another Summer Mel was giving orders to, but as they got closer in the empty building, she took note how they were talking to each other.
“It's been too long, Melanippe. I hope my emissaries did not frighten you. Arriving first is so lame, is it not.” The woman dragged a hand through her long hair, before her dark orbs turned to the newcomers. She said nothing and allowed Mel to speak.
“Oh it was no big deal. Three Sand members randomly on the field sniffing around didn't freak anyone out. We were just glad we identified them quickly or we could have started another war.”
The British woman laughed at that, provoking Mel to do the same, and Danny's face remained in a grim line. Laura didn't know how to react because that really wasn't very funny, but she stood slightly behind Danny like she was told to do. She could still see the Sand leader but Danny was blocking the view of Mel, and the image of a little girl hiding behind their taller best friend from a bully resounded in Laura's mind.
“Sam,” the woman said, her dark cobalt eyes fixing on Laura.
With her name Mel had turned to see Laura, even though she could only see the outline of the side of her body, and even Danny looked surprised and turned her head toward the girl. The sudden attention made Laura fidget mindlessly before she stepped out of the red head's shadow and waved awkwardly.
“Laura,” she replied. Thinking it over she continued, “It's very nice to meet you.”
Silence descended into the room before Sam chuckled lightly and turned back to Mel. “You didn't say there was going to be an outsider in our affairs. And a camera?”
Mel's jaw set before she said nonchalantly, “She's the one that discovered the rouge chapter member in our midst. If it wasn't for that camera and where she chose to point it, we could have lost Danny and maybe more Summers. Because of that I've deemed her an invaluable asset to this years Harvest.”
Admiration and happiness burst through Laura's person like a beacon of light. Mel really thought so highly of her? She let a small smile creep onto her face that was rather hard to hide from the women still staring at her. It made Mel roll her eyes and cross her arms, and Sam just kept her gaze steady. Laura couldn't pinpoint the emotion behind the Sand's eyes, but she didn't know if she really liked it all that much.
Still she tried to urge herself to speak. “So when are the other chapters coming?”
It did not go unnoticed by Danny that the journalist started recording, but Sam spoke up as if she didn't care one way other the other. “Shortly, I'm sure. You must watch out, Mel. The elves aren't going to be happy they came in second.”
“Well I doubt the Vapor are going to get here anytime soon either,” Melanippe responded. “Even with their-” she cut off and pointed two fingers toward her eyes before flicking her hand in a dismissive notion.
Sam laughed at that, hard. “Quite right!”
Elves? Laura's mind immediately began to race at the possibility of actual elves, and she scrunched up her face in thought. Her mind was always filled with the possibility of the supernatural, and she would be lying if she said her infatuation with Danny is what made believing her easier. There was still that doubt in her mind when it was brought up by others, however. She rather doubted all these students were crazy, and there had to be some truth in their words. The concept alone was making her palms sweat with anticipation of meeting a real fantasy creature, though a thought struck her and she looked to Sam with suspicion.
Laura tugged on Danny's arm before moving a bit closer to the woman. Turning her head upwards, she whispered, “What are Sand members?”
Before Danny could answer a huffing member that Laura had not seen before came running in. Her clothes were disheveled and she appeared as if she had been running for a good amount of time. The auburn haired girl didn't speak, opting to look to Sam intently before the latter nodded and looked back to the group.
“It seems as if a race is being conducted. Shall we join?”
Mel's gaze hardened, if that was possible before she said, “Without the other factions? They'll be pretty pissed.”
Sam waved her hand as if to dismiss the concept. “It's just for fun! Come now, let's see the winner.”
Grumbling, Mel left the stage with Sam trailing behind her before jutting her head to Danny to follow. Danny also seemed to be in a bitter mood, and Laura followed behind all of them with anticipation swelling in her stomach. What was so bad about a race between two chapters?
Making it to the large field, Laura saw that the Summers had been keeping busy for the past week. Hand made torches dotted the entirety of the grounds and ceremonial creations hung from the trees that dotted the edge of the grassland and from some of the lights. It looked completely different, especially with different colored paints that swatched the area marking different things, Laura supposed. Upon getting closer, the group saw a rather short girl antagonizing a sophomore Summer.
“Come on then,” the girl said, her accent drawling out, “let's see what you've got.”
“Oh please, everyone knows you're just going to cheat.”
A look of offense stretched across the girl's face and her demeanor changed. “You watch your mouth.”
The Summer looked around to the others. Most were cheering her on but the elder girls were shaking their head slightly while some reached down to a small knife. Laura noticed all of them had weapons of some kind on their person, and the anticipation turned to dread rather quickly. Thankfully the group had arrived rather quickly so nothing else was said.
Sam looked to the Sand girl and to the sophomore. “I was told it was an innocent race. Why do I smell tantalization from you?”
“She called me a cheat...”
“And thus you had no intention of turning when you saw you were losing, Cassandra?”
The tips of the girl's ears turned red and she rummaged her hand through her short hair. It made Laura wonder what kind of “turning” there could be, but when she looked to Danny the face the amazon sported was one of concentration. She had no intention of breaking it and instead continued to watch on, her camera rolling the entire time.
“You are young,” Sam said, her finger running below the girl's chin. “Remember what your place is among this chapter. We are guests here. We do not antagonize those who have opened their doors to us. Bite the hand that feeds you,” she continued, “and you will surely be put down.” Sam must have gotten the reaction she wanted because she smiled curtly and walked back over to Mel. “Now shall the race begin?”
It didn't take much to see the sudden fear that passed through the young Sand's eyes, but Mel held her composure. Instead she replied, “We shall.”
Two sophomore girls were called that included the one that had been fighting, and Cassandra and another Sand of the same size were called from the opposite team. They looked more like freshman, but Laura couldn't have been certain off their size alone. After some talk with their chapter's leaders, the four took their place at the start of the line- which was indicated by two torches and a pattern of blue paint on the grass. Laura slightly jumped when a gunshot was heard, and she had forgotten in relay races that was the traditional starting function.
The four girls bolted, following the rows of torches and staying inside of the white outline that was placed on either side to make lines. The smaller girls seemed to move at incredible speed, just staying slightly in front of the Summer sisters even though they had smaller statures. Most of the race was seen just like this, Cassandra winning by mere seconds while the Summers trailed behind.
Final stretch, Laura thought as she looked down to her camera. She had been recording everything, and she had to keep making sure everything was working. Her head shot up when she saw something extraordinary, and her little body almost jumped off the ground in cheer as the initial sophomore Summer bolted in front of the two Sand girls. They had been coming around a corner and both Sands had slipped in the grass while the Summer sister kept her footing. It gave her invaluable time she needed. The girls were already so close to the finish line, Laura knew the Summers would have their first victory!
“Come on, Emily,” Mel whispered.
It was audible enough for Laura to hear, but she kept her mouth shut as she watched the race continue. Emily and the other Summer were so close to the finish line, there was no way for the Sand to catch up. The air around them was buzzing with electricity, and Laura wondered if the Summers had ever won a race when going up against the other chapters. Those thoughts were squashed as she saw something so unbelievable, later on in the night she would have to check her camera again to see she wasn't hallucinating.
Cassandra had let forth a sound that was inhuman before a thing line appeared straight down her face and neck. With each pump of her arms her skin split in a horrifying appearance, and for a moment Laura thought she had been sawed in half. She kept running, however, and in another second a dark, short haired figure burst forth from the girl's body and bolted toward the finish line. It was so large it quickly knocked down both Summers, throwing them to the ground forcibly, before skidding as it passed the line marking the end of the race. The howl that escaped the thing's throat sent shivers up Laura's spine, but she dutifully kept filming both the wounded Summers and the thing that won.
Danny turned to Mel, unsaid emotion swirling in her eyes, but the latter woman held up her hand to dismiss it.
Mel's voice rang out over the quieted field, “Summers, your sisters are down!”
A unison response came before most of the junior and sophomore classes moved into the make-shift track and picked up the bleeding girls. Emily was wounded the worst, mostly from the force of the collision and sliding face first in the dirt, but it didn't look too bad. They were carried off the field and towards the building a good ways back.
The president continued, “I declare the Summers as the winner, don't you?”
Sam nodded slowly before glaring at the thing that was Cassandra. The latter was whimpering, and her ears were laid back on her massive head. There was something unspoken between them before Cassandra's bones were heard to break, her mouth opening in a silent scream. Before their eyes she was a person again, her clothed form sitting on the grass with her knee propped up. It seemed to be the end of that, and the Summer and Sand members dispersed, some to the woods and others towards the building.
Danny grabbed hold of Laura's hands, which sent shivers up her spine for all the right reasons, before trudging back up towards the school. When they were a good distance away and without prying eyes, or so they thought, Laura turned to the taller woman and stared without speaking.
The red head's cornflower blue orbs looked to her as well before she sighed heavily. “Wolves, Laura. They're werewolves.”
