it honestly makes me kind of sad seeing the stuff that is in the manual for arena in terms of stuff depth wise that adds realism to the world (ie not sleeping as well in a lower quality inn, holidays having impact, gradual overencumberance with what you are carrying slowly impacting you the more you do instead of just oh the second youre over this number: no running, more very clear specifications on classes and limits for things, wait times as your equipment is being repaired, just a BUNCH of stuff) that just... didn't get carried onto the later games (in terms of like... as a guy that has a lot of hours in skyrim. all of this stuff is really exciting to see)

Okay gang, this is pretty unorthodox for me but...

I have not only written, but actually posted fanfic. Granted, at this stage "fanfic" is a bit of a stretch? It's the game script rewritten. There will be more deviation later.

As much as I love Skyrim, I do miss the visual charm and colorful fantasy of Oblivion. Like, if Skyrim is comparable to cosplaying Game of Thrones with furs and muted colors, Oblivion is a mix of your local Renaissance Faire and SCA group. The saturation slider is further to the right than Skyrim and everyone's a bit tipsy on mead by mid-morning. It's really goofy. It's the faire dude dressed as a jester doing a comedy routine at 3pm when everyone's dehydrated and pretty drunk and you lost your faux-leather belt with the cool sword frog by the portos but you're having a good time anyways. It's fun!
