aughhhh the crystals from the y’lyntians can get turned to liquid via sounds and they cured all the humans who were abducted and experimented on by the shredder (return to the underground)
BUT ALSO those same crystals were part of the ritual to mutate the humans into the different slave races (water, avians, and the green monster) (the entity below)
why does it do both. why does it not JUST mutate or JUST cure people, oi

ik it’s common to complain about the last few seasons of a show that got shitty but i still prefer “show runs a bit too long and gets slightly worse” over “show gets canceled halfway through second season”
#yes this is about rise#temunitu#like at least the writers got to tell the stories they wanted#(for all the other tmnt shows)#then they just. ran out of their initial ideas and the network said ‘keep going’#i would’ve taken five more seasons of rise even if the writing went downhill later on#never underestimate my ability to fix canon or else ignore what i don’t like

1. How did you get into TMNT?
i started with 2012 back in… the end of 2017 i think. a couple of my internet friends were into it and said it was right up my alley. we were all mutuals over transformers before this so i trusted their judgement (they were so right)
9. If you could change one thing about TMNT, what would it be?
there’s literally a show/comic for everyone so i wouldn’t change anything canon. like if you want more sci-fi vs mystic/fantasy, if you want a grittier take or a silly campy one - there’s something for everyone.
cowaboomers could learn to chill more. but it’s pretty easy to ignore them.
we do need more mikey-centric stuff tho.

Who do you think each of the brothers favorite brother is?
i don’t actually think they have favorites??? i think they just have favorites for certain activities, or a specific sibling they can trust to do thus-and-such for each other.
like i love my brother. if i ever have a science-related question or i wanna talk about cosmic horror with someone, he’s my guy. but i wouldn’t go to him with my writing ideas since it’s not his forte.

5. Coolest alien/mutant design in your opinion?
I like the sharks from IDW! (i just love sharks) but i’m also a pretty big fan of Quarry

yeaaaaaah I have a LOT but there’s 4 main ones that I could actually go into detail over (i promise i’ll keep this as brief as possible)
Finn: shark mutant/yōkai/thingy. she’s a therapist and is my insert to geT THOSE DANG TURTLES INTO SOME ACTUAL THERAPY GODDAMMIT. her backstory is that her family is a shark mafia and she didn’t wanna participate in the violence
Tomatillo: my fifth turtle. he’s an archer with anxiety and gets mutated way later so he exhibits a lot more turtle instincts. used to be Brooklyn’s pet that she rescued from a fishing net
Brooklyn: i made her originally cuz i was mad at 2012 for forcing donnie to be the smart one with EVERYTHING. she’s since grown but her main shtick is still biology and being the local nurse for the Turtles
T’Ytian: LIGHT OF MY LIFE WIND OF MY SAILS he is a salamandrian warrior being trained under Y’Gythgba and G’Throkka. he’s my little ray of sunshine and wields a halberd. sorta dense in social affairs. he’s so so excited to prove himself. don’t ask him to spar he’ll just start with no warning
i have lots more vague ideas, or some one-off ocs, or reimagines of canon characters (like rottmnt angel!) but these are my Main Four
