Helaena Targaryen

From what I gather from the show and the wiki's Helaena is one of the characters that fate just loves to sucker punch. My understanding is that she is sort of like a Cassandra parallel. Gifted with some prophecy, doomed in that all her warnings are ignored. So I feel for her quite a bit and wanted to capture that.... "madness" in futility? in her costume design. Her gown closely matches the style of her mother, but the colors are all washed out and almost sickly-looking. Her hair is unbound and unadorned. I suppose she should feel almost like a living ghost, or a Crimson Peak reference.

Why are team green stans always the first to talk about how Nyra didn't fight in the books? In the books Alicent was a grown ass women beefing with a child. In the books Criston was with Rhaenyra since she was seven and was such a creep even Alicent pointed it out. In the books Helena is not a dreamer. In the books Aemond is always making weird ass comments about female genitalia. In the books nobody cheered at Aegons coronation and were asking for Nyra. In the books Rhaenys is Rhaenyras number one supporter. The best is "fat Rhaenyra" What about fat Helena and Aegon? Both Helena and Aegon were said to be fuckin ugly but Rhaenyra was said to be beautiful before and after she gained her weight. Anywayssss

i think alicents reaction to rhaenys disrupting the coronation is soooooo indicative of her relationships with each of her kids bc like. she tells criston to defend helaena, who she thinks of as the most fragile and in need of protection (ahem she sees her younger self in helaena ahem), but doesn’t do it herself, bc i think there is a fundamental distance between them, since alicent loves her daughter but doesn’t understand her. aemond doesn’t get a mention, because he has always been the child she sees the most as an adult, her equal she believes on some level can take care of himself. and aegon. she stands in front of aegon. which is suchhhhh a significant thing because. it will not do anything. alicents body won’t protect aegon if meleys decides to burn them, it will just kill them both. alicents life is aegons life, she was married to viserys for him, she became queen for him, everything she did from when she was a teenager was for him. and how beautiful and tragic and horrible that she just decides in this moment that if aegon dies she will die too.

You know at the end, Aegon ii, Helaena, Aemond, and Daeron were failed by everyone in their family. Especially by their Targaryen relatives.

King viserys, their father. Didn’t care for them as much or showed any attention to them. Like when he died, neither of them really showed any sadness or grief over losing their father. He was just a stranger them other than him being their king.

Queen Rhaenyra, their older sister. She didn’t grow a bond with any of her siblings. There wasn’t any love or care between them. She never considered her half brothers as her brothers. She didn’t have a bond with her only sister. Which is why neither of them were hesitant to hurt each others family.

Prince Daemon, their uncle. He hated the Hightower’s so much that even though his younger nephews and niece were born Targaryens, they had Hightower blood in them because of their mother. he despised them for that and didn’t have a bond with them like he did with Rhaenyra. If he can get along with his niece who is sixteen years younger than him, he had no excuse to not get along with his nephews and niece.

Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, their older cousin. Now I understand that she is actually much older because she’s their fathers first cousin. But I feel like she as well, is part of the members of the Targaryen family that didn’t step up for her younger cousins. Much like viserys, she practically ignored them and she also hated the hightowers. (Now I didn’t wanna say too much on her because like I said she is much older and she has her own family so I understand)

Everyone likes to talk about and blame only Otto and Alicent for the siblings upbringing and how they turned out. But turn a blind eye to the fact that the family that they were BORN into, failed them as well and didn’t help at all.

He's a phoenix. He's the one who burns in the fire and is reborn. He's not afraid to face death. He experiences death many times but always survives. He's the one who rises from his ashes every time stronger than before. He's unbreakable. His pain just make him stronger than before.

Hmm, I wonder why that was. Maybe because HBO is in charge of scripting these promos and they didn't understand the story they are trying to tell at all, or was it that the last time they expressed their excitement to play the roles, they were bullied and (even publicly) harassed into deactivating/leaving their account in the hands of someone else?
