when we were young fest with a huge swing and a miss for me with MCR only playing TBP (my least fav MCR album - I still like it, but it's like. not nearly as good as Revenge) and PTV only playing CWTS (again, I like this album, and I have the strongest nostalgia for it, but AFFTD is literally right there) is such a bummer. I mean I'm not a big festival person anyway and I've had enough bad experiences with other alt people/people in "the scene" that I'd likely not be going anyway, but if MCR played revenge and PTV played a flair for the dramatic, I'd fucking be there bro. Alesana is playing the emptiness!!! Although I did see Alesana on the emptiness anniversary tour. So maybe I'm okay.

After that, he began to never leave you side as to always keep you from getting triggered

It developed into an obsession

I think it was meaningful that the black parade night was largely focused on the B-side songs (kill all your friends, all the angels, heaven help us) or songs that sound very different from the rest of tbp in terms of pacing and can get left out of the conversations surrounding it (i don’t love you).

so much of the media hype and general following of tbp was ultimately contrary to the band’s vision and desires: the tour was grueling, the record’s meaning was largely lost, and they barely survived it. by focusing on the songs that didn’t make it onto tbp, it’s almost like they’re elaborating on the story they originally told - giving us another attempt to understand and interpret it’s meaning.

#I’m not saying this was The Plan or anything!!#just a thought and an idea for just one of many impacts and takeaways to be gleaned from tonight #especially with the dedication to doug: new meanings are everywhere in this show and they all circle back to love #mcr #mcr la3 #also it’s 2 am this might be absolutely incoherent and im so sorry lmao

Backstory: Edward "Eddie" Delkins was born to a "happy" married couple named Millie and Jacob Delkins. He had two siblings. An older brother named Terrance and a two-year younger sister named Elle. His parents always expected a lot from him but hey, he still loved them. He revealed he was trans when he was 6 but of course his parents didn't like that, but his siblings accepted him and helped him go through treatment. When the outbreak happened, he was in his room, reading until he heard his older brother yelling. When he went to check what was going on, he saw two zombies eating his mom. He lets out a horrific scream as his brother practically threw him, his sister's bunny Fluffball, the family dog Rofee and his sister into the van and drove off. They soon find Pedro who raises them like his own children. In season 5, the Delkins siblings and their dad were reunited. Elle and Eddie had their suspicions and didn't trust him but Eddie pretended to so he could get the truth from him. Once Eddie and his dad were alone, Eddie's dad told him about his plan to wipe out the survivors and demanded him to join them, even guiltripping him but Eddie refused, causing his dad to go off the edge. He soon went to the survivors and attacked them with the Fireflies. But the fight stopped when Eddie shot his dad. And the rest is history :D
