I present to you, Dammor, a half-incubus Tiefling himbo with a tragic background but a sweet personality (most of the time).
Personality
Despite his past Dammor is very kind to those who are kind, but can be even more unemotional and cruel to those who display cruel behavior. He is very attentive and helpful. He also is extremely insightful, making him almost impossible to deceive. He will use this insight to help a friend, motivate others, or to intimidate anyone who stands against him or his friends with cruel but calm observations of their most delicate and personal matters only to inflict emotional disadvantage.
Despite everything, he considers himself a person with much love to share.
Recruitment
Dammor can be found in act 1 inside the Shattered Sanctum being whipped by Abdirak. You can recruit this companion by rolling a deception dice and convincing Abdirak that his punishment technique is insufficient. Dammor's and player's tadpoles connect, revealing an inner muttering about an undescribable pain, something that makes both of you feel a stab of immense guilt and that only more pain will ease this sorrow. To recruit this companion you will have to roll a persuasion check and pick the option 'Use the tadpole to show him your sympathy.', if succeeded, this will automatically make Dammor collapse on his knees and make him start crying his soul out as he releases some of his pain out. Abdirak will admire this display with delight as he thinks you're using your 'true soul' influence to inflict psychological pain on Dammor, leaving him satisfied and ready to let you take Dammor with you as your personal pet now that you've 'earned him'.
Trivia: - When inspecting Dammor before this cutscene, you can see his class is Barbarian. But when inspecting him after the scene his class changes to Paladin.
-When inspecting Dammor after this cutscene he doesn't have the Loviatar's blessing, meaning that he truly always accepted his brutal penance, and is so used to pain from his own self flagellation punishments that Abdirak wasn't satisfied with Dammor's silent bearing.
Approval
Dammor's approval rate is based on acts of selflessness, even if the cost is self-sacrifice or well being. Displaying the acceptance of one's pain and suffering as a conduit for other's happiness and well being will get Dammor to like you more, as he will see in you someone who understands him.
Romance
Despite being able to recruit Dammor in the early game, this companion will only open up for romance in act 3 after finding his childhood foster home and killing the mysterious old lady inside.
Dammor's romance will change his behavior towards the player and their other love interest, he will become more protective and more ruthless in the pursuit of the safety of his loved ones.
Dammor is ployamorous; "I cannot deprive others from my love as I love everyone equally."
Personal quest
Dammor's personal quest is located in Avernus.
In order to complete his personal quest the player must find the remains of Dammor's family, which consist in; a single adult Tiefling horn carved with infernal writing that reads "Lapis Sanguinis", a necklace and a music box.
Background
Dammor is an orphan, his 3 father's and 2 mothers died protecting him and siblings from the dangers of Avernus.
He caughts the attention of an elite leader and gets adopted by him.
Adoptive father sends him to a prestigious academy that trains both soldiers and scholars within Avernus.
He doesn't feel sure about his new life while others are constantly in danger, and always thinks about his siblings.
Gets picked on a lot, bullied a lot for being quiet, non confrontational. Eventually gets abused by both classmates and adoptive father.
He first kills his adoptive father not being able to take more abuse. Then kills one of his bullies.
Bhaal as entity manifests to him, promising safety in murder.
Gets expelled but he steals what he can so he can locate his siblings and take them with him to leave Avernus. Only one is alive and they escape the hells.
Ends up in Baldur's gate, a mysterious woman offers shelter days after he arrives.
Woman is a Bhaal cultist sent to retrieve him and teach him the murder ways, he eventually gets manipulated and forced to kill his sibling to prove himself to Bhaal.
He still can't quite convert fully, there is still light in his heart, but mostly guilt.
Manages to be raised by Bhaal cultists but normalizes murder for safety, his demeanor and presence change drastically under the Bhaalist nurturing, making him seem incredibly unforgiving, intimidating and ruthless but deep down he is still the insecure and quiet little kid he always was.
Not being able to find sense in his life, he wants to end it but nautiloid abduction event happens.
The effects of the symbiotic relationship with the tadpole makes his brain bring childhood memories he didn't even know he had, making him lose interest in ending his life as long as he can have new memories, even if it's little by little, but each memory reinforces the idea that only his pain and suffering will serve as penance for his deep guilt, forging him into constantly seeking self flagellation to feel at ease.

To demonstrate why it takes so long for anyone in the Tadfools to even begin to get a read on Korydass, here is the first, most dramatic expression change she makes in front of them—
Kory, approximately five seconds before seeing Karlach the first time:
Tumblr media
Kory approximately five seconds after seeing Karlach for the first time:
Tumblr media
Astarion is the only one who catches this. Wyll is too distracted accusing Karlach of being a monster and Shadowheart is too busy sizing Karlach up for… other reasons. Given that Astarion watched Kory cold-cock Aradin with next to no change in her expression before she threw the punch, Astarion find this reaction very interesting (and files that juicy tidbit away for later).
One evening, after Karlach is with the group for a while, she interjects in the middle of a stupid party spat to tell folks to knock it off because they’re upsetting Kory. Astarion scoffs and asks how Karlach could possibly know how Kory is feeling.
Karlach points at Kory’s tail, which is thrashing madly.
As soon as attention is drawn to it, Kory freezes, tail and all.
That’s when the group realizes that this whole time Kory has been extremely easy to read, but none of them had noticed her obvious tell, because none of the rest of them had tails. Karlach had been getting accurate reads on Kory since day one because, as a tiefling, she’d grown up with tails being a regular part of the body language of the people around her.
Though, even with this insight, Karlach has a noticeable blind spot when it comes to Korydass’ feelings; that takes a little more time for both of them to sort out.
(Meanwhile a certain vampire spawn is enjoying the show, and cackling about it the whole time).

Elias Blackwood
(he/him)
Class: Oathbreaker of Devotion Paladin
Race: High Half-Elf
Age: 32 years
Background: Folk Hero
Game Progression: Middle of Act 3
Elias grew up in the small village of Goldenfield, raised by his mother and father. Mama took care of the home while Papa, a cavalier, would go away on crusade. He also has one younger sister, Elora, who was born eight years after he was. After his father failed to return home from a crusade, he decided to devote his life to becoming the best paladin he possibly could. He trained for years, practicing on his dummy and fighting off monsters and fiends to keep his hometown safe, while also helping his mother raise his sister, who was only three when their father passed. When he was in his early twenties, Elias moved to Baldur’s Gate to start his career as a paladin. His first night in the city, he went to The Blushing Mermaid and met Leila, a rogue half elf. Although they were never in a relationship, he considers her to be his first love. They were in each other's lives for over ten years, even sharing a home and a bed together. One day, the two were out on a mission beyond the city limits and were attacked by a pack of gnolls. Leila lost her life in this fight, and Elias blames himself for her death. If he had just been a bit more courageous, didn’t miss his swings, then he could have saved her. Leila currently serves as his Dream Guardian, adding on to his ever-building grief after losing her.
Tumblr media
In Act I, Elias makes a poor lapse of judgement and decided to attack a bugbear in the goblin camp. The creature wasn’t aggravated, but he thought that it would if he stayed around long enough, so he wanted to get the battle over with. Because of his actions, he broke his Oath of Devotion. The Oathbreaker Paladin paid him a visit, and gifted him Oathbreaker powers, along with a slightly altered (hotter) look.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just outside of Rosymond Monastary, Elias (32) ran into Elora (24), who he had not seen in over ten years. They would still write letters to keep in touch, but she became worried when he stopped returning her letters. Worried for the worst, Elora set off to go find her brother and hopefully bring him back to Goldenfield, as their mother had fallen ill and needed his help. She had wanted to be just like her older brother and trained to become a strong fighter. Elora asks to join her brother's party and to help with whatever mission they are on. Elias accepts, adding her to the troupe with open arms and a strange story about how a tadpole was placed in his head. (If she could she'd probably want to romance Karlach but this page isn't about her!!!)
Tumblr media
Over the course of his adventures, he’s had three hair styles: short and trimmed, a little loose, and all grown out
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Near the middle of Act 3, Elora received a sending from a family friend that their mother has passed away. She is devastated due to the loss and takes it out on her brother, because he refused to go back home to spend her final days as a family. Elias tried to explain that his life was at risk with the tadpole and that removing it was his number one priority. Their conflict drove a wedge in their sibling relationship, and they didn’t speak for days. They finally spoke after defeating Orin the Red at the Temple of Bhaal, where it was Elora who actually knocked the changeling into the abyss below the temple. They both apologized for their cruelty towards each other, recognizing that they were the only family members they had left. Their friendship is stronger now due to all that they’ve gone through!
He is currently in a loving and devoted relationship with Shadowheart and they are so cute together that I want to cry about it. Watching them grow so much as individuals and as a couple has been adorable, and I know that post-game they spend the rest of their half-elven lives together. 🩷

My tav Cinna is so funny to me because like...
I have A LOT of tavs: a refugee from Menzoberranzan with incredible sorcery and a hundred years worth of arcane knowledge, a girl who hunts bad guys for a living, a hardened criminal who spends his days running from Fist and fighting anyone against him, and a girl who grew up on the streets and had to fight to survive. ALL my tavs are experienced in fighting.
EXCEPT FOR CINNA!
By the time the nautoloid captures her, she's still a sorcerer-in-training. She's never fought any monsters, she's never been in charge of anybody, she's never even left the Upper City of Baldur's Gate! And she's never been outside her family's manor without a chaperone!
She has absolutely no clue what to do or what she's doing.
But for some reason, Shadowheart, Gale, and Astarion look at this helpless little dork who has no idea how she even managed to crash the nautoloid and they're like:
"Aw, yeah. That's our leader. We should put her in charge."
Lmaooo in a few short moments she went from a novice, to the leader of the most powerful pack you've ever seen.
A vampire, a Githyanki fighter, a Sharran cleric, the Blade of Frontiers, the Fury of Avernus, the Wizard of Waterdeep, the Archdruid of the Emerald Grove, and even the High Harper Jahiera and the Stone Lord Minsc, all follow the orders of this mousy young sorcerer who keeps accidentally summoning mephits in combat.
Its even funnier when the Archdruid Halsin and the Wizard of Waterdeep witness this foolhardy girl accidentally polymorphing into a sheep after trying to cast Speak With Animals and they're like:
"Gods, I want her."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The only thing standing between the cult of the Absolute and the life of everyone and everything in the realms, is a 22 year old half-elf that shoots fireballs when she sneezes. With the power of puppy-dog eyes and tism rizz, she manages to lead a pack of heroes to victory and defeat a netherbrain. And somehow nobody but her is surprised by this.

After the BG3 ending, Elie goes to find a way to help Astarion to walk under the sun. He does find a solution but that includes a deal with Myrkul. He must keep a young pure blood bhaalspawn in his care for 18 years without getting attached. The reward, the location of a sun ring and restless immortality The baby is Liam, my current Dnd necromancer and the reason why Elie and Astarion distanced from each other for some years :')

So you’re telling me you haven’t written bg3’s reload feature into your tav’s lore by giving them a magic time amulet that allows them to continually return to the past over and over again all in hopes that they’ll find a better path forward only to reach the end and be absolutely devastated by the outcome they’d worked so hard for?
They haven’t given in and started over from the beginning of their adventure in hopes of changing the outcomes of a future they’ve already lived and pray to never see again? They’re not constantly staring at their reflection in search of scars they haven’t yet to receive? They’re not broken over the fact that the people they cared for no longer remember them? They’re not terrified that they’ll do something small to completely destroy the state of things much further down the timeline?
Your tav hasn’t driven themselves to the brink of madness in what feels like a false pursuit of a happy ending that may never come to fruition?

This fun little thing has been going around twitter. I said who needs likes when you can have tav lore! So, I answered them all! here they are:
1. Her birth name is Suspiria, she later took on the last name windfall after her late care taker Wynona Windfall a sweet dwarf alchemist living in the secluded woods beyond baldurs gate. Suspiria is an asmodeous tiefling beast master ranger with a wolf named Karma. Her background is charlatan from her time living under her slavers, but she could also have a little bit of an outlander background after she escaped. Her pronouns are she/her and her alignment is chaotic neutral, but leaning chaotic good.
2. Suspiria was a charlatan in baldurs gate making some shady deals to get by. She probably was up to some scheme to make a quick dollar when she was captured.
3. She slept with astarion, but ultimately fell in love with Gale. They have some history, even though they didn’t realize it at first.
4. After the romance drama settled, her an astarion became besties. Her and karlach are also very well. She never liked wyll, and found him very annoying, but karlach cared about him, so she tried to treat him with respect and had his back along the journey.
5. Many of the tieflings died on their journey through the shadow cursed lands. This really hurt her, but she would never show it. she tried everything to protect her kin, but she couldn’t save them all.
6. Post game, she is happily married to Gale & living in waterdeep. She raises hunter pets, mostly wolves, and helps train hunter pets and young rangers a few times a week. She never imagined herself settling down, but it was what she never knew she truly wanted.
7. Supiria has no living blood family left, at least not to her knowledge, but she has a mother figure in her life who took her in a few years after she escaped her slave owner.
8. She specializes in archery, but she is naturally inclined to the arcane to some degree and knows a few cantrips and healing spells.
9. Her proudest moment was saving the tieflings in the emerald grove and sticking it to Khaga. She looks out for her kin whenever she can.
10. She has thigh high leather boots that also act as sufficient armor. At camp she like to be comfortable, and prefers to let a little skin show
11. She feels most relaxed being in nature, preferably by a lake or stream.
12. She originally took Raphael’s deal out of a moment of weakness. She doesn’t always look past her own self interest right away, since she had to look out for herself for so long. But karlach talked some sense into her, and she was thrilled to put Raphael in his place and steal all his treasure. She had helped yugir back in the sharran temple, so he helped her to break into Raphael’s, which solidified her decision to break the contract.
13. She doesn’t follow any gods, she strongly dislikes gods and feels they’re selfish beings who toy with mortals for fun, this was further confirmed for her after falling for Gale.
14. She was living on the outskirts of baldurs gate, doing odd jobs and adventures to earn some coin. She liked being free and untethered to any one place after being forced to stay in one place as a slave
15. She got along very well with Zevlor and had immense respect for him. She looks up to him like a father now.
16. She didn’t know her guardian, she was a tough and beautiful drow, so she was less hesitant to trust her than she would have been with another person, since drow also face similar societal challenges.
17. Suspirias tiefling village was raded when she was about 5 years old, her parents were killed and she was sold into slavery on the black market. She had several slave owners over the years and lived in a few different places. Some were worse than others, but they were all abusive. Her last owner was an older human man. He was a bad man, but never hurt her like the others, but she ultimately killed him and ran away to escape slavery all together. She was around 12 when she escaped.
18. Hurting astarion, not so much sleeping with him, but for leading him on and hurting him in the end. Although they’ve all moved on at this point, it weighed heavy on her for a while.
19. These slide off easily, but good luck breaking down those walls.
20. Not in particular
21. Teasing in more ways than one 😉 and sarcasm and hugging, which is reserved for only those she cared for most
22. Before the journey, her greatest fear was falling in love, or having someone she was afraid to lose. After, losing her friends and/or her Husband.
23. She actually felt some level of empathy for ketheric, she longed for her family desperately too once, especially when she was young, and she made some poor decisions because of it. She hated gortash and Orin, they were selfish and sloppy and too stupid to have so much power.
24. She carried a book Gale gave her everywhere, although she didn’t recognize it was his at the start of the journey. They only met once briefly as children and he gave her the book because he didn’t want her to be lonely.
25. Her last slave owner was not too far from baldurs gate, when she ran away and was eventually taken in by wynona, she started going there often to help her caretaker sell her potions, and to collect supplies, etc.
26. the Balthazar fight was so hard! She wasnt comfortable with the terrain and that jerk reminded her of slavers, keeping alin like that. It really got to her head. She was trying to be supportive of ShadowHeart, but she was frustrated with her inability to see her goddess for what she is.
27. Realizing she was in love with Gale and realizing he was on a suicide mission. She was furious with mystra and elminster and even with Gale for considering it, and she didn’t want to accept her love for him. She mostly suffered in silence, but her team noticed her mind was elsewhere from time to time.
28. Her reputation before was very much charlatan. She was scheming and sly, and kind of a bitch, and she liked it. She intimidated her way through many schemes and caused quite a bit of trouble in her time in baldurs gate.
29. She isn’t really a morning person, so she often stayed up late. She did a lot of the hunting and gathering, collecting firewood and finding food and medicine for the group.
30. She freed Orpheus and let him take on the illithid form, since she refused. She has come a long way, but she is still very self serving in some lights. (I didn’t have lazel in my original run, but I am replaying and have lazel this time, so her ending may change) still ends up with Gale in the end no matter what.
Thank you for coming to my rant. Ok bye 👋😅

Lylith Embersong, the Songsmith
Tumblr media
A watercolor painting of my bard from Baldur's Gate 3
Lylith Embersong was a tiefling child born into a traveling troupe. Her mother (a tiefling) taught her fighting and her father (a human) taught her music. Many years prior, the troupe leader had reneged on a contract with Raphael. The troupe leader hid for years while on the run, but Korilla tracked him down. Lylith is playing in the troupe leader’s tent (he was like a grandfather to her) but when Korilla shows up, he sends Lylith away. Lylith eavesdrops outside the tent, but can barely hear the conversation. Korilla warns the troupe leader that surrendering means only some will perish, but trying to escape again will result in the entire troupe’s death. The troupe leader surrenders.
Raphael sends imps to destroy the troupe. Lylith is one of the few escapees, but her parents die in the attack, while saving her. The knowledge “This is what happens when you mess with the hells” burns into the brains of the survivors. Lylith is unaware of Raphael’s role in destroying the troupe and murdering her family. Her only clues are that a devil, the troupe leader, and the threatening dwarf woman are connected to the attack. All Lylith has left of her parents are the red earrings she had stolen from her mother’s jewelry box (red scintilla), her father’s violin, and the clothes on her back.
Most of the survivors from the troupe settle in Baldur’s Gate, including Lylith Embersong. She survives by busking on street corners, playing her father’s violin for coin. Times are rough and money is hard to come by. (It's easy to imagine that if she had been unlucky she might’ve crossed paths with Astarion in those rough days.) Thankfully as she grows older, her skills gain her enough recognition that she’s hired to work patriar functions. Lylith’s skill in discerning people’s intentions sharpens working the cutthroat world of nobility.
Lylith is filled with trepidation when she meets Raphael in Act 1, but she dismisses those feelings as her past, haunting her. Her sense of paranoia heightens when she sees Korilla at the tiefling party. Before Lylith can interrogate her, Korilla vanishes. Her feelings intensify, in Act 2, when she meets Yurgir and Lyrthindor and learns about their contracts. Finally, in Act 3, Lylith meets Korilla at Sharess’s Caress. Lylith wants to grab Korilla by the arms and question her, but knows that playing things cool will get her more information. Korilla drops the name of her employer, ‘Raphael’.
If Korilla works for Raphael, then it was Raphael who killed her family and the troupe. Mind reeling, she goes upstairs and sees the argument between Voss and Raphael. When Lylith speaks to Raphael, she realizes he’s playing her. Either Raphael doesn’t know he was the cause of her parents’ deaths (unlikely that he wouldn’t know the souls affected by that attack), or he is playing dumb on purpose because he thinks she doesn’t know. (Can you imagine how gleeful Raphael would be? To cause a soul’s misery in early life. To be the cause for its burning desire for vengeance? And then to bind that soul in a legal contract? Do you really think he’d ever let her go?)
Raphael offers her the contract. Lylith is upset that Raphael would try to use her after what he did to her family, so she refuses him, but keeps her realization quiet. She is waiting for the perfect moment to strike. In his arrogance, Raphael slips up and grants her the path towards vengeance. He tells Lylith the location of the Orphic hammer. With this knowledge, she concocts a plan. She plans to break into his house for two reasons: to steal the Orphic Hammer and to lure Raphael back to kill him in the Hells (permanent death for Devils). It is a hard fought battle, but Lylith Embersong prevails. She slays Raphael. She’s a tiefling, a child of the hells too, and no one messes with a child of the hells.

@seynne, thank you for these! My ask box should now actually be open if anyone is trying to send messages. I forget it's not on by default. From the Weirdly Specific Questions list
How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?
I don't think that Xa'rok is intentionally deceptive about their emotions, but they are hard to read if you don't know them well. If asked directly and divulging doesn't put them or those they care about in danger, they would be honest about what they're feeling, but there are some things they prefer to keep to themselves. Persuasion and Deception are their particular skill avenues of choice, and so they're fairly aware of what they are presenting to the world and what effect it might have/what effect they might want it to have (either on the audience as a bard, in concert, or in their line of work as a convincing public speaker), so they're very adept at managing a crowd's expectations and emotions; a skill I can only assume they continue to excel at as an illithid.
Being so in tune with their emotions and how they are perceived does make it easy for them to hide what they want to keep hidden, though, should they choose to do so.
What’s the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they’re alone?
This answer varies over different parts of their life.
I think they prefer to present as someone who has their shit together, and prefer to reserve their doubts for close friends and quiet moments. They can let their guard down around certain people, in certain places, and elsewhere they remain vigilant for threats and show little weakness. Most of this attitude was borne out of necessity: life in their northern creche was often harsh, uncompromising, and despite the insistence on training in units, incredibly solitary. But they are social by nature and deeply curious. They long for connection and take joy in finding it. They love to talk, and take pleasure in an audience. They are at their best when connecting with others, and find the psionic boost from the tadpole, and later, illithidom, a boon. To touch someone's thoughts and know their mind makes making those connections easier.
At 'work' they are by turns diplomatic and charismatic. They have spent a long time learning how to read a room and how best to construct a narrative or a story or a song to capture its occupants' attention. In front of a listening crowd, they are in their element. But they are aware of their charm and can be impulsive in its application. While they usually know when to drop the performance, there are times where their persuasive public-speaking persona will take over and they can become a little too pushy or manipulative. Their good friends will tell them to stop or remind them to mind their manners.
At home and alone is where they truly put all the performative parts of themself away and just allow themself to be. This becomes even more important once they go full illithid and get over the (very arduous) hurdle of readjusting to their new form. The Emperor was correct: home is where one can be their truest self, without guile, without pretense.
When do they feel the most guilt? How do they respond to it?
Failing to live up to expectations. These are largely internally set expectations and thus hard to gauge from someone else's perspective. But they take pride in being able to perform to the best of their ability, whether in their line of work, in their playing, in battle, or in following through on a task they have been given or accepted for themself. Falling short of those expectations really stresses them out. They work doubly hard to make up for it, and sometimes injure themself as a result.
What do they commonly misinterpret because of their own upbringing / environment / biases? How do they respond when realizing the misunderstanding?
For someone whose life's mission is to unpack cultural biases, Xa'rok is certainly not immune to perpetuating some of their own. They have long sought to be open-minded but they still find themself falling into old patterns of thinking reflexively. Mostly this tends to resolve itself in "your experience is not universal" type situations. Surely all children are exposed to the harsh and uncompromising trial of combat. Solo survival training is a common rite of passage for everyone before a certain growth milestone. That sort of thing. Growing up in the far north, they are resistant to and unbothered by deep cold and harsh winters, and so they are continually perplexed by anyone who cannot stand the cold. They find gender and its societal constraints a perplexing and unfathomable puzzle. They actively work to take their own missteps in stride and find no weakness in admitting they may have been wrong about something to which they have not had enough exposure to to know otherwise.

Character Associations
rules: post 5 songs associated with your OC, followed by 3 outfits they would wear.
Inspired to do this by @gothimp if you’re seeing this, feel free to make your own!
Walker, born Walstaer Horineth (BG3 Tav)
My sweet sweet good good boy
Tumblr media
His autistic rizz is off the charts and his religious guilt is right there with it. Love him.
5 Songs:
Work Song - Hozier (because ofc this is on his list) “no grave can hold my body down, I’ll crawl home to her” and “When I was kissing on my baby, And she put her love down soft and sweet, In the low lamplight I was free, Heaven and hell were words to me”
Angel with a Shotgun - the cab “I'm an angel with a shotgun, Fighting til' the wars won, I don't care if heaven won't take me back, I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe.”
Francesca - Hozier “If someone asked me at the end, I'll tell them put me back in it, Darling, I would do it again, If I could hold you for a minute, Darling, I'd go through it again”
Matilda - Harry Styles “you talk of the pain like it's all alright, But I know that you feel like a piece of you's dead inside, You showed me a power that is strong enough to bring sun to the darkest days, It's none of my business but it's just been on my mind.” And “You can let it go, You can throw a party full of everyone you know, And not invite your family, ‘Cause they never showed you love, You don't have to be sorry for leaving and growing up, You can see the world, Following the seasons, Anywhere you go, You don't need a reason, ‘Cause they never showed you love, You don't have to be sorry for doing it on your own.”
Stick Season - Noah Kahan “So I thought that if I piled something good on all my bad That I could cancel out the darkness I inherited from dad.”
Outfits!
Camp/Traveling clothes: Flynn Rider core. Simple tunics and leather, comfy and loose but hugs him in all the right places
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Armor for battle: specially designed for him by Damon after the city is saved. Duke Ravenguard knights him in the aftermath and this armor set is gifted as part of that ceremony. Walker’s full title becomes Walstaer Horineth, The Knight Orchid, Hero and Knight Defender of Baldur’s Gate, The Moonmaiden’s Shield. He does not like being titled!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fancy outfits: drawn to embroidery. He has a difficult time spending money on himself when it comes to clothing but Shadowheart encourages him to because they have to go to public events all the time in the years following bg3. He has no problem spending money on nice things for her tho.

5, 11, 16 for the ask game pretty please <3
OK, this time my excuse is that I was very, very sick for the past few days. Hopefully the next potential ask I will be faster with.
5. Describe their idle animations!
I do love this question so thanks in particular for asking it. 💕
Kory tends to/prunes the vines on her tent (see this post for the tent description). In the daytime she’ll appear to take leaves off and put them near her mortar and pestle. At night she’ll take off a flower and do the same.
Related to that, she has an animation where she is sprinkling things into the mortar and pestle, then turns around and uses it for a while, before putting it back.
She’ll sit at her table and scratch out some notes on a piece of paper-but she uses a claw instead of her quill, and then dunks it into a dish of water to clean it off.
Much like Jaheira has an animation where she talks to rats, Kory has an in-depth conversation with a crow that comes to perch on the top of her tent.
If the owlbear cub is recruited, Kory has an animation where she turns into an owlbear and does a loop around the camp with him and Scratch.
Epilogue Animations
(Thanks to @optiwashere's lovely response to my ask for the idea… this post wouldn’t have been a classic ramble without it!)
Based on the previous ask I answered if Kory winds up with her “bad ending” there will be a moment where Tav hears a rustling in the woods, and sees a green-eyed wolf. It growls at them—if Tav passes an animal handling check, the wolf looks at them with sad eyes and runs off. If they fail, the wolf snarls and snaps at them and runs off. That’s all you’ll see of her if she ends up with that bad end.
In any good ending, Kory will do the following:
Kory will have a little “druid huddle” with Jaheria and Halsin, discussing their preferred forms (Kory emphasizing Owlbear and Air Myrmidon).
Kory checks in with Halsin on how the Shadowlands is recovering.
Kory speaks to Withers about Arabella—he assures her that “the girl will be fine” and Kory is a little miffed when he won’t speak about it further.
Kory turns into a Cat to apparently discuses something eye-to-eye with Tara.
Kory turns into an owlbear and romps around the party with the no-longer-cub.
Kory gives big pets to Scratch.
Depending on what Kory winds up doing/who she might have hooked up with post-game (details in this post!) she has some additional stuff.
In any “Kory winds up in Avernus” ending:
Kory has chat with Gale about how the spell “plane shift” works, since she might need it to get them home soon.
Kory expresses delight over whomever is taking the Owlbear home, and laments that she wishes she could have been an option.
If just Kory and Karlach wind up in Avernus together their animations include:
Kory bemoaning that her outfit “looks ridiculous for this event.” Karlach: “I could always help you take it off, Soldier.” Kory: “Later! I wouldn’t mind a private swim before we have to go back.” Karlach: “Sounds like a plan.”
Karlach and Kory do a goofy little dance together.
Karlach and Kory have a little strategy session about getting those plans for her heart fix.
If Kory/Karlach/Wyll all wound up in Avernus:
Kory bemoans the outfits to Wyll. “Karlach’s looks good, ours are ridiculous!” Wyll: “I’d suggest you take something from the trunk but if we have to go back suddenly you’ll want the armor, not a dress shirt.” Kory: “Ugh, I know.”
The trio have a strategy huddle about getting the plans for Karlach’s heart and possibly getting rid of Mizora for good.
If Kory ends up on the Farm with Shadowheart:
If they adopt the Owlbear Kory is absolutly overjoyed and the two of them have an excited conversation about his dietary needs.
Kory has a conversation with Halsin and says “…she brought him home and named him Bubbles!” Halsin: “Oh ho, that’s sure to amuse the Oak Father.”
Kory has a brief conversation with Volo: Kory: “Shadowheart and I decided it would be easier to run a farm together so that’s what we did.” Volo: “And thus… they were… roommates.” Kory (tail thrashing) : “Why are you saying it that way?”
If Kory is a in charge of the garden in Baldur’s Gate:
She has a brief conversation where she slightly guilt trips Jaheira about how Kory sees Jaheira’s children more than she does.
She and Wyll have a positive conversation about the reconstruction of Baldur’s Gate.
Kory will encourage Astarion to come visit the gardens “We have night blooming flowers now; the Society of Brilliance helped me procure some from the underdark that would grow up here!”
11. What is your Tav’s go-to comfort food? Honestly, Kory spent so much time in the woods it’s a lot of basically nuts, berries, basic tree fruits, and leafy greens… and then Elminster shows up demanding cheese. Good cheese is revolutionary for Kory.
Have you ever had an apple/walnut/arugula salad without cheese? Then you add blue cheese or gouda or feta and suddenly it’s a whole different ballgame. Bam! Suddenly Kory’s got a whole new outlook on food. She tries a lot of new things on this journey, but that apple/cheese/walnut/arugula salad is her favorite.
Gale finds Kory jumping on the cheese train a little exasperating, honestly.
16. What do they do for fun, when not adventuring? What are their hobbies? Gardening! Kory adores cultivating herbs and flowers especially. Once she finds out “flower arrangement” is a thing (she’s never encountered that concept until Baldur’s Gate) she’ll try her hand at that, and eventually seasonal wreaths.
You know, once her girlfriend’s heart is fixed.
Thank you again for the asks, Bear!
If anyone else wants to ask something, the list is here!
My answers to 2, 3, 4, and 6 can be found in this post!

Salome Silverthorn
[Sal-oh-may] (she/they)
Class: Wild Magic Sorcerer
Race: Half-Drow
Age: Unknown
Background: The Haunted One (no redemption route)
Game Progression: Complete
Before Salome discovered her Dark Urge, she was just a baby in a basket. A human woman, Gwendolyn Silverthorn (cleric of Selûne), found Salome in a wicker basket late one afternoon in the streets of Baldur's Gate. Taking pity on the child, she brought her home and raised her as her own. Gwendolyn had her own children, Kellan (paladin) and Marianna (ranger). Salome was raised in a very loving home, and the four were a very happy family together. But on the eve of her ninth birthday, the Dark Urge took over for the first time. She brutally killed her entire family and set the house on fire with her Wild Magic. Although she was a skilled sorcerer, she could not easily control her magic, and her face was badly burned, causing her to lose some of her vision. After murdering her family, Sceleritas Fel sought her out, bringing her to the Temple of Bhaal to be worshipped as the Prodigal Daughter, the one who came back to sit upon her father's altar.

Orin the Red, jealous of Salome being Bhaal’s Chosen, attacked her at Moonrise Towers, implanting her with the first tadpole. She was shipped out on the Nautiloid, and Orin took over her throne, fully assuming that her sister would soon become a mindflayer.
When the ship crashed, Salome was left with an ache in her head, her memories gone, and an urge to kill. She only remembered her own name because it was sewn into her robes she was wearing.
As far as Dark Urges go, she is as evil as they come. She has no desire to fight her urges, rather, she accepts them and doesn’t hide the person she truly is. She slaughtered the Grove, Last Light Inn, and anyone who happened to cross her path, goblin or not. Don’t look in her storage trunk at camp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Accepting her Dark Urges eventually led to Bhaal gifting her the Slayer form. Unfortunately for Orin, Salome would use this to get her revenge. It was a rather easy fight.
Tumblr media
After defeating Orin in battle, Salome accepted her father’s gift and became the true Chosen of Bhaal. Her father had then commanded her to seize the opportunity to take over the Elder Brain, and then eventually, the world, in his name.
Tumblr media
Salome's adoptive mother, Gwendolyn, acted as her Dream Guardian. She first showed up in Salome's dream after she had a flashback to the night she committed her first murder. Salome was pretty upset when she found out who the Dream Guardian actually was because she truly thought she was reconnecting with the woman who raised her, helping her see past her urges and potentially try to resist them.

She and Astarion are locked in for life, and not for the better. Both have ascended in their own ways, and now post-game are taking over the world with the help of the Netherbrain. (She's also slept with Ketheric Thorm, Enver Gortash, Lae'zel, Minthara, the Emperor, maybe even a goblin or two... but we don’t need to talk about that atm)

Conjuring up lore for my Tav and making her come from a religious background that she found so much comfort in until it was pulled out from under her by the person she loved so dearly and realizing if that's the case part of her attraction to Shadowheart can be credited to her finding comfort in how being around Shadowheart reminds her of her days in religion and this time she will not have it taken away from her.
