note: it's been so long since i've posted anything, missing posting and you guys, so here it is a charles fic 🎀🫶

You stared at the test in front of you. Two lines. This is it. You were pregnant, you were going to have a baby, with charles. The adrenaline of the situation got to you and you started crying. Your heard immediately thought ‘hormones’ following by a thought of the amount of times you were going to be able to use that excuse. You laughed at that, but also laughed of happiness, your hand coming to rest on your stomach as you looked down.
“hi baby” you whispered ever so gently.
You wanted to tell charles, you wished he was here, next to you, but he wasn’t, he was in Italy. This weekend was going to be special for charles, it was monza, everyone knew how much monza meant to Ferrari. You though about calling him but decided against it, after all, it could affect his racing or his focus and that was the last thing you wanted.
Keeping it a secret from him was harder than you expected, every time he’d call, you had to bite your tongue not to say it. You had decided you were going to plan something special, not telling him over the phone.

You sat on your couch watching the race, on the edge of your seat, charles had managed to snatch P2 yesterday and you were so proud of him, but you knew he wanted more. Luckily for him, the monza curse struck again and Verstappen had to retire the race, leaving your boyfriend in P1.
You didn’t want to get very excited because it was Ferrari, a simple strategy mistake and charles could loose the highest place on the podium, but he didn’t. you watched proudly as you boyfriend lifted his champagne bottle, spraying all the tifosi there watching him.

You had tried to stay awake till he got home, but sleep got the best of you, because when you woke up, you were no longer in your couch, wrapped around your blanket, you were in bed, charles arm wrapped around your waist, his hand stroking you back and his eyes glued to yours.
“good morning, mon ange” he whispered and you swore you felt butterflies in your tummy, you wondered if the baby feels it too, or something like that.
“good morning, I’m so proud of you, like bursting out of pride” you kissed him fearlessly, pouring out every bit of your love for him
“wow, if you’re like this when I win, then I should win more often” he joked “did you watch me?”
“of course I did, you were so great” you placed your hand on your stomach but quickly realized your mistake and placed it on his cheek
He kissed you again before he quickly sat up “I am making YOU breakfast” he brushed your leg softly and disappeared down the hallway.
After eating breakfast, you were going to finally tell him, but he had other ideas “I’m gonna shower, I didn’t do it last night because you were asleep, but I smell like champagne” he gave you a peck on your lips and left without saying another word.

You heard the shower stop as you sat anxiously on the bed, a small box next to you. He finally came out of the shower and you couldn’t help but eye him up and down, I mean, the guy looked like a Greek god, water still dripping and his chest fully exposed with a towel hanging around his hips
“oh, I didn’t know you were here” he leaned down to kiss the top of your head “are you ok? What is that?” he pointed to the box
“sit” you said seriously and he chuckled gently before realizing your tone was serious and sitting down, his face immediately dropping
“are you ok?” he grabbed your hands and gave them a tight squeeze “please talk to me”
“I have something for you” you handed him the box, and watched closely his reaction while opening it
Inside, he found a small Ferrari onesie with the name Leclerc on the back. You hoped for any kind of reaction, anything really, but he only smiled at you.
“aw, you bought something for Chiara? It’s cute but I think it’s a bit too small for her” he said and you were a bit incredulous how he didn’t got it but still managed to pull a laugh at his assumption that it was for his best friend’s baby.
That was the thing with charles though, no matter how scared or nervous you were, he always found a way to make you laugh, and you loved it.
“the thing is.. this is not for Chiara” you placed his hand on your stomach and a tear escaped your eyes
“wait.. really?” he asked, his eyes getting full of tears now “like, really?” those were the only words coming out of his mouth and honestly you couldn’t judge because you couldn’t say anything, you could only nod at him
Next thing you know, charles was pulling you in for a kiss, one that left you breathless. He picked you up and spun you around, pulling you up so your legs wrapped around him. Both of your hands came to his face and cleaned the few tears that laid on his cheeks and he mimicked your movements by kissing every inch of your cheeks til there was no tears
“Are you sure?” he asked and you climbed out of his arms to show him the test you had in your bag
“pretty sure” you both stayed still for a moment, this was going to happen, you and charles were going to be parents. As you both started to realize this, you couldn’t help but wonder how you had gotten so lucky in life. “Are you happy?”
He took a few steps in your direction and pulled you in close to him, close enough that you could feel in breath on you “of course I am, you make me the happiest, I love you so much, mon amour, and I promise, I will be the best father”
“I know” you whispered, only loud enough so he could hear.
“no, I mean it, I’m gonna be the best, I’ll always be there and I’ll never, EVER, gonna let anything happen to the two of you, ever, you’re my world” he walked with you so your back fell into the mattress, his fingers playing with the hem of your (his) shirt, lifting it up enough so that he could see your belly, reaching to touch it, kneeling in front of you, his lips connecting with your stomach, whispering something to the baby, something you couldn’t even hear yourself. You immediately started crying when you saw him shed a tear, him immediately rising up to his feet, his hands on your shoulders “why are you crying? Are you okay, mon ange?”
“Yes, yes, I just… I was so scared of how you were going to react and… you know” you moved your hands around, stopping when he started laughing. “Why are you laughing?”
“Because you’re adorable, and I love you too much” you simply smiled and let him kiss you, for a second there you forgot he was still in a towel and just realized how gorgeous and hot the man in front of you was, you must have been staring because you noticed him smirking at you, kissing you, letting his hands wonder around you, but you couldn’t help but notice how he was being a little more careful with you, too careful.
“what are you doing?” you pulled back
“kissing you…I’m sorry, did I misread the signs?”
“no, I want this” you point up and down at him “but I don’t want you to hold back”
“I’m sorry, I’m just scared to hurt you or the baby” you smiled fondly at him and kissed his jaw
“that’s cute, but I want you, and I don’t want you told back, please”
“I won’t, then” he picked you up, his towel dropping when he got the both of you in the bedroom. You didn’t know why you were so scared, this was charles, it was always going to be okay”

“I love you” you heard charles say softly, almost inaudible. He was laying on top of you, head on your chest, his thumb gently caressing your waist. There was barely any sound in the room, only the soft sound of the pages of your book turning and both yours and charles breathing.
One of your hands was placed on his hair, removing it every time you had to turn a page, and the other was holding you book. “I love you, too” you replied in the same tone as his.
“no” he said, turning his head so that his chin was now resting on your chest, his cheek slightly red for being pressed against your skin “I love you like I’ve never loved anyone”
He pulls you down by your waist before you can even respond, pressing a kiss to your lips “I love you like I’ve never loved anyone too” you say, breaking off the kiss, pressing your naked bodies against each other even more.
“I don’t think I could live without you, you’re everything to me. I wake up, you’re the first thing in my mind, I go to bed, you’re the last person I think of, hell, I even dream about you. You’re the one, you’re the one I want to spend every day with” you look in his eyes for a second, because what do you respond to that.
“you’re the one for me too, and don’t worry, you don’t have to think about living without me, because you’re stuck with me, forever” you chuckle, pecking his lips, but you notice how he doesn’t chuckle back, leaving you worried for a split second. “Are you ok?”

“Marry me, I don’t want to think about spending another day without you, I want to be yours forever, to wake up next to you every day. You’re the reason I keep going when I feel like I can’t. I used to think needing to have a lucky charm was for people who didn’t have the right mentality, then I met you and I knew that it was bullshit, because you are my lucky charm, so, marry me, I’ll propose to you in a romantic way, how many times you want, but say yes, please, say you’ll marry me”
You felt all sort of emotions at the same time, you didn’t know what to say, what to do, so you kiss him fiercely, pouring all the love you have for him in that kiss, because you’d say yes, of course you would, you would say yes in a heartbeat the amount of times he wanted to.
You noticed he took a second to kiss you back, but when he did, it was just as passionate as yours. Your hands flew to his hair and his to your waist, pulling you impossibly closer to him. Eventually, you broke off the kiss to be able to breath “Yes”
“Yes?” he looked at you, a sparkle of hope ever so evident in his eyes
“Yes” you placed both hands in his face, pulling him towards you. He sat up, pulling the covers up to his waist and you copied his movements, pulling the blanket to cover your naked chest.
“Ma chéri, will you, officially, marry me?” tears filled your eyes as he opened the tiny little box that revealed a beautiful ring that he carefully took out and placed on your finger as soon as you nodded. He laid his hand on your cheek and kissed your lips in the softest way he has ever, resting your foreheads together. “Je t’aime” he kissed your cheek and all the way down to your neck, to that soft spot that made you moan and bring both his hands to his hair, letting the blanket fall. he kissed you and bit your lip slightly You laughed at him and he sucked on your lip to clean out the blood he had made.
Safe to say that no one heard from the two of you for hours.

You felt the morning light cascade over you, you tried to turn around but something heavy was on top of you. You opened your eyes to see a sleeping João lying on top of you, his arms wrapped around your waist and his head laying on your chest.
You tried once again moving but it was pointless, so you just laid back and enjoyed the morning. One of your hands placed on João’s hair, playing with it and before you knew it, you were asleep.
You woke up once again, but this time, with João brushing little strands of your hair behind your ear. Even with your eyes closed you could feel the light was too much, so you just kept them closed. You felt João getting up and then the mattress dipping and suddenly the light was much less.
“Thank you for closing the blinds” you mumbled still sleepy.
“Good morning y/n. I love you” he leaned in to kiss your forehead ever so slightly, you loved that the first thing you heard every morning was him saying how much he loved you. “and you’re welcome.”
He pulled you closer, you knew it, you felt his breath on you face and his arms wrapping you closer to him, so you finally opened your eyes.
“good morning” you gave him a peck and giggled at the way he leaned in for more.
He laid down on his back and you leaned on his chest. His hand came in contact to your leg and he pulled it over his. He moved to adjust the sock on your feet and you smiled at the sweet gesture.
You stayed like that, snuggling up against each other for a while until he broke the silence.
“I don’t want to do anything, let’s stay in bed all day” he muttered against your hair.
“I’d love to, but I’m starving, I’m gonna make us breakfast” you said, starting to get up.
“fine” he scoffed and turned around, burying his head on the pillows.
You grabbed one of his sweatshirts to put one before heading downstairs to start preparing your food.

You were in the kitchen when you heard his steps coming down the stairs, followed by floki.

You tilted your head ever so slightly to the side “what do you mean, you’ve been in love before” you stated
“well, yes, but not this. This is good, and healthy, besides, you’re the love of my life” he whispered the last part, his eyes darting to the ground like he said something wrong but God, he had just said the nicest, sweetest thing anyone has ever told you and you were not even sure how to answer so you just kissed him, your hands cradling his face and his on your waist. He pulled back after a while, making a strange face “Is something burning?”
“Oh shit, there goes breakfast”

“I’m so excited” You say, slightly jumping up and down
“You could be excited about helping me carry the tree” João says while setting the tree down
“sorry, I’m just so excited” the two of you had moved in together earlier this year, so it was your first time decorating the Christmas tree together and you couldn’t be more excited, you loved Christmas since you were a kid but this year it felt different.
“I know, you wanna start taking out the decorations and I’ll set up the tree” you hummed softly and started to take out all the ornaments you had bought. You heard music started to play in the background and turned around, seeing your boyfriend with his phone in his hand. “that’s my playlist”
“I know you like to hear Christmas songs when you decorate” he said shyly, like it was nothing “oh and hey, there’s something for you in that bag” he pointed while he kept setting up the tree
You opened the bag, revealing a box full of small red and gold ornaments that you had seen in the store weeks ago “you remembered” he shrugged his shoulders and said ‘it was nothing’.
“hey” you pulled his arm for attention “that was so nice, I just mentioned it once, you didn’t need to buy it”
You saw his face drop slightly before he spoke again “you didn’t like it?”
“no, no, hey, I LOVED it, it was perfect and so nice and thoughtful, I loved it and I love you” you waited a bit, just looking in his eyes “so, let’s go set up the tree or not?”
“yeah” he pulled your hand and started to put the lights on the tree, smiling as he watched you sing along the lines of the songs playing the background “ok, do you like the lights like this?”
You took a few steps back and looked at the shiny tree in front of you “yeah, it’s perfect”
“good” he pulled your shoulders closer “I think it’s going to look good” he kissed the top of your head.
You looked up at him and smiled, he was still looking at the tree. He really was perfect, you couldn’t believe how lucky you were to have him as your boyfriend, he was the sweetest, nicest person and you loved to be able give him all the love he deserves.
He finally turned around and noticed you were looking, he looked down and you could see him start to blush. You placed your hand on his chin, forcing him to look at you and pulled him in for a kiss, it was short but sweet. You were going to pull away when you felt his hands around your waist, pulling you impossibly closer. You broke the kiss when you needed to take a breath and he kissed your temple, your eyes closing and a smile appearing on your face as he did so.
“ok, let’s finish this off, shawl we?” you pointed to the tree.
“yeah”
An hour later you were both staring at the tree trying to see if something was wrong. Suddenly, he squatted and signaled you to climb on his shoulders. “ok, more to the left, please”
“okay, it looks perfect” he took a few steps back, eyeing the tree, you still on his shoulders.
“yeah, it does” you played with his hair before climbing down and hugging him from behind. Your head resting on his arm.
“I got one more decoration you haven’t seen”
“yeah?” you asked but he just turned you around and put a hand over your eyes, guiding you somewhere.
“ok, you can open them now” he took his hand and you looked around, searching for anything before you looked up and realized he had put a mistletoe on your bedroom door “ok, now you have to kiss me” and before you could laugh he pulled you in for a sweet kiss, you weren’t in a rush, just enjoying the moment.

You felt the sun creeping through the blinds, you looked around, realizing it was not your room, panicking for a split second, still in your morning haze, before realizing it was just João’s room. You turned around in his arms, facing him and you realized he was still sleeping, you took a moment to just take a good look at his face, spotting all his little freckles and acne scars. You loved all of him, including all his imperfections, as he liked to refer to them, because to you, he was 100% perfect.
You couldn’t help but trace all those marks with your finger.
“Good morning” you hear him say and then buries his face in your neck, spreading feather light kisses on your collarbone, making you ruffle his hair and softly press a kiss to his forehead.
“Morning, baby” you started to get out of bed, but you got pulled back “Joao, I have to shower.”
“Fine, let’s shower then” he says, getting out of bed and pulling your hand toward the bathroom.
You laugh at his clinginess as you watch him rub his eyes, still pulling you. You watch him take off his clothes as you lean against the doorway, enamored by the way he does it. Still sleepy, he pulls at your shirt, dropping it on the floor nearby, he then does the same with the rest of your clothes. He turns on the water and kisses you on the cheek, hugging you from behind before walking in the shower. You’re both silent, but a comfortable type of silence. You walk in the shower and kiss him, and what started as a sot kiss turned into something way more passionate.
“I love you” he said as he brushed your hair out of the way making a small tint of red appear in your cheeks.
“I know” he made a fake offended face and tickled you until you placed both hands on his chest “I love you too, you know it.”
After having a little water fight, which you had called childish and he had proved your point by pouting, you got dressed and decided to make breakfast.
“I should go home after breakfast” you said while hugging his body from behind as he cooked something for both of you.
“Don’t” he turned around and kissed you so strongly you had to take a step back, which caused you to get cornered between him and the refrigerator “I don’t want you to go somewhere else to go home, move in.”
You placed a hand in the nape of his neck and another in his chest “You’re just saying that because you are extra clingy today.”
“Okay, first, no I’m not, second, you know that’s not true, I love you, I want to wake up everyday next to you” he gave your hip a light squeeze.
“Are you sure?” you asked, and he nodded feverishly, causing a grin to creep its way onto your face but he quickly kissed you, biting your lip ever so softly.
“I love you so much” he kissed your nose, your cheeks, and every single part of your face “too much.”
He spent the rest of the day practically glued to you, either kissing every part of your body, or hugging you tight, or just simple things like whispering I love you’s and taking pictures and videos of both of you.
