Note
If the requests are open, I'd like to request jealous hcs for the winter and autumn boys. Thanks ❤️
Ty for your prompt! I had fun!
Autumn Troupe + Jealousy
Banri butts heads with anyone who tries anything with you. This often leads to hushed arguments between you two; angry whispers to try and avoid attention from the rest of the troupe. Eventually you decided one day to kiss him to see if that would do anything to dissuade his jealousy. Thankfully, it did.
Juza’s jealousy is quiet, unsteady. He isn’t sure how to confront you with how he feels until he talks about with Omi. Omi laughs a little and comforts Juza, saying that if he just talked it out with you, everything would be alright. One day Juza nervously sat down with you and explained how he felt albeit a little awkwardly. Smiling and planting a kiss on his cheek, you reassured Juza that you wouldn’t do anything that he wouldn’t like.
Omi is one of the most reasonable members of the Autumn troupe, given that he trusts his partner completely in every aspect of the relationship. This changes though when you’re walking through a rough spot in the neighborhood or Omi spots someone he knows is no good. He’ll pull you closer, urge you to walk a little faster - Omi’s protective nature kicking in.
Taichi’s one of the worst with his jealousy; he whines and complains when you don’t pay attention to him, especially if you’re paying attention to another person not involved with Mankai. Taichi turns into a puppy during those times, making his displeasure clear. It’s all good when you give him a bunch of kisses on his nose and cheeks to make up for it.
Sakyo definitely tries to control his emotions but jealousy is one of the hardest ones for him. How on earth could he not say anything, especially when it looks like you’re having so much fun without him? Yes, he knows that it’s... unreasonable to be jealous over a cat, but... he still likes it when he’s the only one you’re paying attention to. Not that he’ll ever say that.
Winter Troupe + Jealousy
Tsumugi doesn’t really get jealous. Sure, he might get a little annoyed if he sees you with someone he doesn’t really like but... not jealous. Tsumugi can get protective of you at times but he understands that you’re your own person and you’re free to be with whoever you want.
Tasuku is more protective than jealous, like Tsumugi. Unlike Tsumugi though, he’ll make his intentions more clear and drag you away from folk he doesn’t like with ease.
Azuma’s jealousy is subtle like everything else he does. It’s more often than not he’ll discreetly pull you away from a crowd when he notices you’re uncomfortable with the situation or Azuma himself isn’t comfortable.
When Homare gets jealous, it was you to point it out to him. Homare very loudly and dramatically pulled you away from a guy friend of yours and almost caused a scene at the local cafe. You sat him down on a park bench nearby and told him that it was okay to be jealous, but he had nothing to worry about. From then on Homare always asked you if it was acceptable to drag you away from people.
Hisoka isn’t one to do much about his own jealousy. He’s also completely fine with you hanging out with guy friends; Hisoka knows and trusts you in their company. If anything did happen to you around them, well... he can be intimidating when need be.

a threat to the community! ↦ itaru, tasuku, tsumugi, izumi
what’s wrong with liking boobs and showing interest in your friend’s brother and the other friend’s sister? izumi clearly doesn’t know.
it feels like it’s three against one, and tasuku doesn’t know how much more of this slander and nonsense he can take.
maybe he should just kill one of them.
「 3k words 」

cw: vulgarity, swearing, name-calling, crack treated seriously, a little ooc.

"Do you ever just wish you had a girlfriend with a huge pair of bazoingers." Itaru said one fine evening.
It wasn't even a question, but it had Izumi automatically nodding along to whatever nonsense the man was spouting.
"All the time." She muttered under her breath beside Tsumugi who was forced to pause in marking Taichi and Tenma's practice quiz.
...What.
"Do you ever wish you would just shut the fuck up." Tasuku hissed in annoyance, looking over his script to send a glare to Itaru who was tapping away at his phone.
Itaru rolled his eyes and repeatedly snapped his fingers in Izumi's direction, the woman looking up from the page she was helping Tsumugi mark. "You get me, right?"
The woman nodded and tapped her red pen against the coffee table, leaning to the side to rest her body weight against Tsumugi. "Hell yeah, brother."
Itaru switched his gaze to their blue haired friend and pointed at Tsumugi next, eyebrows raised.
"And you, my good friend."
The part-time tutor swallowed and rubbed the back of his neck, taking a sheepish glance Izumi's way with a little smile. "Uh. I guess?"
Itaru squinted at Tasuku after receiving the answer he was hoping for and smiled, his shoulders doing a little dance when the violet-eyed man groaned. "Tasuku just doesn't know how to appreciate women."
"Dude." Tasuku gritted, dropping his script. The man didn't want to feed into whatever bullshit Itaru wanted to start tonight, but he wasn't going to let the guy slander him like that. How dare he.
"It's true." Izumi said and reached out for the snack bowl that was on Tsumugi's side of the table. She snatched a chip and shoved it into her mouth.
"We were jogging through the park once and I asked him if he thought the girl we were about to run past was cute." Her voice was muffled by the food and it elicited a disgusted reaction from Tasuku while Tsumugi could only sigh.
The snack bowl was meant to be a reward for later.
Itaru was the only one listening. "Okay, and? What did he say?"
Izumi spared Tasuku a glance over Tsumugi's shoulder and blew a raspberry, shaking her head. "He said no."
Itaru snarled. "How could you."
"Wha— come on." Tasuku threw his head back with a deep sigh much to the amusement of his childhood friends. "It was a genuine answer."
"Dude. All girls are cute." Izumi stated as a matter of fact, gently patting Tsumugi's arm. "Right, Tsoogs?"
The man nodded, not willing to get harped on by both Itaru and Izumi who seemed to be looking for a fight tonight. "...Right."
"See?" Izumi and Itaru gave Tasuku a pointed stare. "You're the odd one out."
"Not all girls are cute." Tasuku frowned, pointing an accusing finger at Izumi. "Take a look at yourself if you need an example."
Both Izumi and Itaru gasped, scandalized.
Wow. Just wow! Tasuku really had a pair of balls to be saying that to Izumi. Such blasphemy was not to be taken lightly!
Itaru and Izumi were going to burn him at the stake.
Sitting up from his position on the couch, Itaru threw one of his cushions at Tasuku who caught the pillow with ease. Damn.
"You are so rude, you cheeky piece of shit." Izumi playfully cried as Tsumugi held her back from standing up to throw a punch at Tasuku who was sticking his tongue out.
Bleh bleh.
"Izumi's kind of cute at best." Tasuku continued, eliciting an agonized sob from Izumi who was now burying her face into Tsumugi's neck. Oh, the pain was unbearable. How could her buddy do this to her?
"How did our conversation about boobs end with someone crying..." Tsumugi sighed under his breath and pulled the girl closer to him, resuming his marking so that he wouldn't have to finish it later tonight.
Itaru crossed his arms huffily. "On a good day I'd agree with you Tasuku, but we are talking about Izumi here, you beefy fuck." The blond choked dramatically and glared at Tasuku who was rubbing his face.
"You better apologize to our Queen." He sniffled.
Tasuku cringed. "Queen?"
"Duh. Who else is most fitting to take responsibility?" Itaru rolled his eyes and made a grabby hand motion at Tsumugi. The oldest member of their group grabbed a candy from the bowl and tossed it.
"Uh, me? You fuck." The disbelief was apparent in Tasuku's eyes but Itaru ignored it.
"Oh, sure." Izumi scoffed. "Who's the one who has to deal with all the hearts you've broken?"
"Wow." Itaru chuckled through his candy. "So Tasuku is just a straight up ladykiller? As in, he literally kills people."
"For Chrissake— just shut up." Tasuku groaned, throwing the blond's cushion back at his face.
"I'm pretty sure I had to spend the night in jail once due to your drunken actions." Izumi wagged her finger and harrumphed.
"No." Tsumugi frowned and held the accusing finger that was pointed in Tasuku's direction, pushing it back down onto Izumi's lap. "Tasuku still got jailed for destruction of public property. You got jailed for assault."
Itaru piped up after tossing away the pillow that was so rudely thrown in his direction. "That happened in high school, though."
"I'm pretty sure I was acting in self-defense." Izumi frowned, crossing her arms as she remembered the unfair treatment she was given compared to the person she had punched. "Spitting on someone is considered assault. I was only protecting my pretty face."
"Ooh, Izumi using her basic Law 12 knowledge. Impressive." Itaru whistled, snapping his fingers as to applaud his friend for using her rarely flaunted intellect.
Izumi winked playfully and twirled a strand of hair around her finger, pantomiming that there was chewing gum in her mouth. "84% and never studied, baby."
Tsumugi's gaze scanned the woman's figure with a curled lip; a frown. "But if you studied, you could've gotten an A." His tone was scolding and it made Izumi pout. The woman cuddled into Tsumugi's side to appease him.
Itaru threw his candy wrapper at the tutor. "Hey, as long as she can keep us from fucking up in front of the cops, grades don't matter."
"A-fuckin'-men, broski." Both Itaru and Izumi sent each other a pair of finger guns and winked.
"You're fucked if you think Izumi's gonna keep you from getting incarcerated." Tasuku rolled his eyes. Seriously, was no one seeing the problem here?
Izumi had absolutely no compassion for their friend group. If she could, she'd probably watch Itaru and Tasuku get put in handcuffs. And if she could, she'd probably put Tsumugi in handcuffs.
This girl was off her shits.
"The Izumi slander is off the charts today." Itaru wolf-whistled. "You better shut your mouth, Tasuku, or else karma is gonna bite you in the ass."
"Yeah or else I'm gonna fuck your brother." Izumi threatened, completely derailing the conversation.
Tasuku froze. "What the hell."
"Fuyuki always looks like he's Down To F Izumi so she's probably not even kidding." Itaru pursed his lips, sending Izumi a thumbs up. Tsumugi couldn't protest, because it was probably true.
Izumi simpered. "I'm gonna be your sister-in-law."
"Oh my God." Tasuku cried.
"And hey, don't think your sister is automatically safe from me either, Chigasaki." Izumi's eyes caught Itaru's and the man pressed his lips into a thin line.
"Isn't his sister married?" Tsumugi frowned. He didn't have a problem with same-sex relationships but he was going to have to draw the line at homewrecking.
Luckily enough, Izumi had the same set of morals so the question made her freeze.
She jutted her chin at Itaru. "Is she married?" Izumi asked.
Itaru shrugged. "Dunno."
Izumi clicked her tongue. "Damn. I'll text and ask her later."
"Can't you just get with someone your own age?" Tasuku complained. He was not going to let Izumi near his brother. Absolutely not! Wasn't it a little weird going after your friend's siblings? Gee!
Izumi's lips curled into a frown after the question was asked. "And end up with someone like you guys?" Her tone was full of disdain, but she quickly kissed Tsumugi's cheek to let him know that she wasn't talking about him specifically.
Izumi gagged. "I'd rather kermit."
"That's reasonable." Itaru nodded. "I am quite the disaster of a sentient life form."
"Can you speak normally? And hey." Tasuku jabbed a finger in Izumi's direction. "It's not like I'd want to date someone like you either!"
Tsumugi fell back against the couch, rubbing his face as Izumi huffed and fell back with him, their knees hitting the edge of the coffee table.
"Can you guys please just make up and kiss already." The blue-haired man sobbed in exasperation.
Izumi shook her head and glared at nothing. "Sorry, Tsoogs. The only Takato I'm kissing is Fuyuki and it's gonna happen after we recite our vows at the wedding."
Tasuku threw his hands up in the air. "What wedding? And why does that piss me off?"
"'Cause you're jealous." Izumi poked her tongue out.
Tasuku growled. "Am not."
With a devilish grin, Izumi curled her arm around Tsumugi's shoulder and leaned over the man's lap to slap Tasuku's thigh. "Dude, if you want a nice smooch from me, all you gotta do is ask."
"Oho." Itaru's voice was monotone, but Tsumugi saw the way his eyebrow twitched. "If I ask nicely can I get a smooch too?"
Izumi turned her head and pretended to barf. "No. Maybe in your office suit, but like that?" The woman scoffed, eyes scrutinizing the grease stains on Itaru's shirt. "No fuckin' way."
"You're mean." Itaru frowned. "So you'd still kiss Tsumugi even though he dresses like that?"
The blond pointed at Tsumugi's usual attire and made a gagging noise. Not that there was really a problem with his outfit, but it was just so.... boring.
(Itaru opted to ignore the fact that Izumi was matching with him.)
Noah fence, Itaru mused to himself.
Tsumugi poked his tongue out at the gamer.
"Yeah? He's got a cute face and he always came to my sporting events back in HS." Izumi huffed, cradling the side of Tsumugi's face to squish their cheeks together, affectionately melting into his side. "Unlike you guys, Tsumugi was very supportive of me."
"Yeah." Tasuku rolled his eyes. "Supportive of your nonexistent athletic career."
"Okay, listen here 'hot stuff'—" Izumi grouched and slapped Tasuku's ankle. "I was scouted for the national team just like you."
Not even ten seconds in and Itaru was already tired from hearing them talk about athletics.
"Can we please stop talking about sports. Both of you didn't accept the offer anyway." Itaru cried dramatically and let his phone fall from his hand, slouching in his seat.
"Worst mistake of my life." Izumi sighed. "I've lost the chance to become a ladykiller."
"You say that as if girls would be attracted to you." Tasuku scoffed much to the annoyance of Izumi.
"I've had more girlfriends than you've had sex." The woman griped.
"Tasuku's a virgin, though." Itaru piped up, ignorant. No one seemed to be surprised at the fact that Izumi has had girlfriends before which was a little underwhelming.
Save for Tsumugi who was pouting.
"Exactly." Izumi picked a few candies from the bowl and threw them at the gamer while everyone ignored Tasuku's protest to the previous statements.
"How come we've never heard of you having any girlfriends?" Tsumugi frowned at Izumi and pat her knee, teasingly wiggling his shoulders as if he was a child throwing a tantrum.
The woman laughed and ruffled Tsumugi's hair. "You bastards would've complained had you known I always cancelled our plans for a girl."
"Well, did they have big boobs? If so, then it's fi—" Itaru was justifying Izumi's reason for always standing them up, only to have Tasuku remove his own indoor slipper from his foot to vault it at Itaru's chest.
"Ouch. </3" He pouted.
"Stop with the damn boobs. Izumi probably likes thick thighs." Tasuku frowned much to the amusement of Tsumugi and Izumi.
"Sounds more like a personal preference of yours." Itaru shot back while the pair sitting on the floor faced each other and sighed.
"Men." Izumi rolled her eyes so hard her head started to hurt. "Right, Tsumu?"
She scrunched her nose at the tutor who she was still holding onto and he responded with a nose scrunch of his own. "Right." He agreed confidently this time.
"Aw, I always knew you were an ally." Izumi cooed. "Kithes for you." She said and pressed her lips to his cheek before standing up from the floor, raising her arms above her head to stretch.
Itaru made grabby hands. "I want kithes."
The cutesy act made Izumi gag, and she shook her head. "No way. You've got your own army of wives to ask."
"Aw." Itaru clicked his tongue. "But they aren't as cute as you are." He supplicated.
"Ooh. Touché." The director whistled a pleased tune and waved at Itaru to come over. "You got me. Get over here."
The way Itaru had scrambled off the couch to trot over towards Izumi made the director laugh, and she willingly opened up her arms for Itaru to sink into her embrace.
"Ugh. Warm. Like soup." Itaru sighed. The comparison made Izumi make a noise of disgust.
"Okay, off you get." She groaned and forcefully pushed Itaru away. "I'm not kissing you anymore."
Brushing away the imaginary crumbs Itaru had dropped on her, Izumi turned her body in the direction of Tasuku, who was casually lounging on the sofa. She ignored Itaru's childish cry.
"As for you," she pointed a finger at the meathead. "score me a date with your brother and then maybe I'll give you the privilege to hug me."
Tasuku bristled.
"I am not letting you anywhere near Fuyuki." He squinted. "And I don't even like hugging you."
The whole trio in front of Tasuku scoffed, leaving him puzzled. "What's up with the reaction."
Tsumugi began to collect his unfinished quizzes, putting away his pens and answer sheet with a shake of his head. "Nothing. You're just a really pathetic liar."
"What."
Itaru grinned and trotted towards Tasuku, flopping onto the man's legs with a relaxed sigh.
"You're the lucky bastard who always gets spoiled by Izumi, ya big dumb of straight up ass. I'd punch you right now for being so ungrateful." The blond threatened.
"Aw, I never knew I picked favourites." Izumi frowned, squatting beside Tsumugi who was still cleaning up. "Tsumugi's my new number one."
The man mentioned smiled gratefully and blew a kiss at Izumi who grabbed the invisible thing and shoved it into her pocket.
Tasuku readjusted his legs underneath Itaru to properly distribute his weight. Ugh. He hated when they sat on his legs like this.
"Stop acting all lovey dovey. You two aren't even dating." The grouchy Winter Troupe member grumbled to which Itaru punched at his thigh.
"He's jealous! He wants in on the action." Itaru jested while Tasuku shot up to grab the blond by the front of his greasy shirt. "Oh God, I'm gonna die— IZUMI!" Itaru shrieked, in the middle of being violently shaken by Tasuku.
The director sighed at the commotion, sending a pout Tsumugi's way as the tutor shrugged his shoulders and gave her knee a comforting pat.
"I swear." She muttered under her breath. She stood back up to her full height and turned towards the pair on the sofa, eyes flaring with aggravated heat.
Izumi snatched the front of Tasuku's shirt just like what he did with Itaru and ripped him away from the blond with a wide eyed stare, startling the man out of his gentle bullying.
"You." She removed a hand from his shirt to tap his nose, smile fake as Tasuku blinked and stared at the canine tooth that was snarling at him. "Are being really bratty."
Finally being released from the clutches of the Devil himself, Itaru scrambled off the sofa to huddle against Tsumugi. He started to playfully cry just like Izumi did a little while ago and buried his face in Tsumugi's neck.
"I'm gonna beat your ass if you don't cool it by dinner tonight." She hissed, tightening her grip on Tasuku's shirt to pull him forward. Juuust until their noses were touching. "Got it, baby boy?"
She smiled just a little after uttering the nickname, but Tasuku huffed.
He lightly pressed his palms against her stomach to push her away, snarling. "I'm older than you."
"By a month. Get over yourself, pup." Izumi scoffed and raised her hand to roughly slap-half-pet Tasuku's cheek, using just enough force to push his face away from her.
"I'm going to my room to look at girls online." She sighed and raised her leg to dig her heel into Tasuku's stomach for good measure.
Just to let him know that she's still the boss in their little group. <3
"Text me when Omi finishes cooking tonight." Izumi pulled away from Tasuku before he could wrap his fingers around her ankle and trip her up, giving him the middle finger with a teasing smile as she walked backwards into the hallway.
"That's our Queen." Itaru sighed dreamily.
Man. If Izumi was the only woman left on earth he'd probably kill Tasuku and Tsumugi to keep her all to himself.
....Too much? Too much.
Tasuku was still grumbling to himself, rubbing the spot on his stomach where Izumi put her foot earlier. He winced.
...Hmph.
"I'm gonna pound her into the gr—" Tasuku made a sudden move to jump off the couch, but was stopped.
Tsumugi chuckled and held Tasuku by the back of his shirt to prevent the taller man from chasing Izumi down the hallway. "No you aren't."
"He really is a murderer." Itaru laughed in shock, bracing himself against the couch he was sitting on earlier.
"Yeah." Tasuku scoffed with a smile, turning towards Itaru. "And I'm gonna be sending you to your grave first."
The smile was....eerie. Itaru could feel the hair on his neck stand tall.
He slowly began to shuffle towards the hallway. "...I'mgonnagolookatboobswithIzumi." He said in one breath and then dashed down the direction of the director's room.
Tsumugi took a single glance at Tasuku and shook his head. "You are such a handful sometimes."
Tasuku pointed at himself and gaped.
"ME?"

"And...I love...you."
Tsumugi's cheeks, nose, and ears went as red as the roses Homare loves. Not from the cold either. It was one thing for Tasuku to say he loved his acting, but to say he loved him? It made his knees weak and he didn't know what to do in response.
Tsumugi loved Tasuku back of course...he just never said anything because he was worried the feelings were unrequited. It haunted him after he left Veludo due to the God Troupe audition some years ago. But now he was a different man and he didn't intend on backing out after he's come this far. Tsumugi only snapped out of his thoughts when he felt a hand brush off the snow on his head.
Tasuku retracted his hand after successfully removing the snow, clearing his throat awkwardly after. "Sorry. You had snow on your head." As Tasuku's hand was moving back to his side, Tsumugi grabbed it on impulse.
Now here they are..standing in the middle of a bridge with snow falling all around them with no one to see them except the sky and clouds above their heads. Tsumugi kept a tight grip on Tasuku's hand, one so tight that seemed as if he planned to never let go. The troupe leader only now looked up to meet his friend's eyes. He always loved those violet eyes he beared. Tsumugi thought his aqua eyes paled in comparison almost always.
"Tasuku, I-" "You don't have to answer me now. All that matters is getting you back to Mankai and-" It was Tsumugi's turn to cut him off...This time with a cliche kiss on the lips to shut the other person up. If Muku was here, he'd practically short-circuit and squeal about how this is like a shoujo manga he's read before.
If there was one thing Tasuku could say at that moment, it'd be that Tsumugi was really gentle. Almost too gentle. He loved it nonetheless and wasn't even thinking that this meant his feelings were reciprocated. Tasuku dropped the umbrella and wrapped his arms around Tsumugi in a tight and loving manner as he kissed the male back.
He was much more firm and rough compared to Tsumugi, but that was just how he conveyed his emotions at the moment. The blue haired troupe leader let out a light sigh of content before pulling away, albeit slowly and reluctently. Their lips barely broke apart and they stayed like that for a small moment. Tsumugi backed up slightly so he could fully speak, his eyes shyly meeting his 'friend's' again. "I...I love you too. I always have." A sheepish smile played on his lips.
"Gee, I couldn't tell." Tasuku teased with a small smirk and chuckle. Tsumugi pouted a bit at the banter. "Well, Tachan, you clearly didn't realize I've loved you for about a decade now, have you?" It was then that Tasuku was caught off guard. His cheeks flushed the slightest bit too. "Tsumu, I thought I said to stop with the nicknames."
"You say as you use my nickname." Tsumugi giggled. Now Tasuku was pouting instead. "Oh, be quiet!" The troupe leader giggled again but was now cut off by another kiss. He of course reciprocated the act of affection. Tasuku laced his fingers with Tsumugi's, that poor umbrella now forgotten about as well as the original objective of finding Tsumugi in the first place.
It seemed as if time had stopped and they were the only ones in the whole world, as cliche as it sounds. All that Tsumugi and Tasuku could think of was their love for each other. That's all they needed...

Nice going, Asshole
Juza Hyodo x Banri Settsu
A/N: so, this is apart of the user @/juzasmanju (on ig) 500 followers special! The given prompt radiates Banju/Juban energy and I thought,"why not make a fanfic?" So here it goes.
Tumblr media
When Juza came back from School, he expected to be able to relax and eat all the sweets he wanted, but Juza can never have nice things, now can he?
"Oi settsu, the hell are you doing with the pudding?" Juza scorned.
"Eating it,dumbass." Banri replied, narrowing his eyes.
"Well, I was planning to eat it,smartass" Juza replied, grinding his teeth.
"Well too bad, I got to it first."
"You asshole." Juza growled as he got Banri by the shirt.
"Hey, what's going on in here."
Both Banri and Juza looked towards the kitchen entrance to find Omi,looking concerned.
"This asshole ate my pudding." Juza complained
"And that asshole is about to catch these hands." Banri said as he shoved Juza away from him.
"You mother fucke-" Juza was about to launch himself towards Banri, but Omi hugged Juza from behind.
"Hey,hey,hey." Omi said pacely.
"Juza, how about you and Banri stop fighting, and I'll make you strawberry filled scones? I'll buy strawberry milk too! Just please stop fighting with Banri."
"Fine..." Juza agreed, as Omi released him from his grip.
"I'll call you when the scones are done."
" 'K thanks." Juza then left the kitchen
"Juza really loves his pudding, huh?" Omi said not expecting a reply from Banri.
"Yeah man, I got this cup of pudding from the counter and next thing I know, Hyodo was all up'n my face bitching."
"Wait, did you say you got that pudding from the counter?" Omi asked, bewildered.
"Yeah,why?"
"Banri, that cup of pudding is expired."
"Oh, well I mean no biggie. It's probably expired a few days ago."
"Banri, that pudding expired a year ago."
When Banri heard that, he choked on his own spit.
"Hey, are you ok?" Omi asked as he lightly pat Banri's back
"Y-yeah, I think I'm just gonna sleep now."
"Wait, are you sure? It's still sunny outsid-"
But before omi could've finished his sentence, Banri was already down the hallway.
"Stupid Hyodo gotta give me food poisoning." Banri mumbled to himself.
Banri laid down for what felt hours, he couldn't sleep due to the anxiety of having food poison.
"Oi,Settsu."
Banri looked up to find Juza standing in the bedroom doorway.
"Whad'dya want?"
"Dinner's ready."
"Ok. I'll be there in a sec."
Banri sighed as he stood up from his bed, immediately feeling as if he had to vomit.
"Shit." Banri thought.
"Eh, whatever. I probably don't actually need to vomit." Banri reassured himself as he started walking towards the kitchen.
"Thanks for the meal,Omi!" Taichi said excitedly as he sat down.
"Yeah, thanks." Banri added.
As soon as Banri took a bite out of his food, he immediately felt nauseous.
"Banri, are you sure you're fine?" Omi said with a concern face.
"Yeah..." banri averted omi's eyes.
"Banri, you look more pale than usual, are you sure you're ok?"
"Ugh." Banri balled up his fists.
"No, not really. If it wasnt for that stupid hyodo and the stupid pudding, I wouldn't feel as if I have to puke my brains out." Banri admitted.
"Here, I'll take you to the hospital, they'll know how to help." Omi responded.
"Here, you can take my car, but if you dare so scratch it, it's the end of you." Sakyo said as he threw his keys at Omi.
"Haha, we wouldn't want that, now would we?" Omi grinned.
Seconds passed... then minutes... then hours. But with every passing second, the entire mankai company, especially the Autumn Troupe, were on edge.
"Hopefully Banri comes home well." Sskuya said.
"Yeah, I'd never forgive Banri if he doesn't show up on time for our daily gaming session." Itaru added.
"Oi, Chigasaki, Settsu is literally in the hospital right now. Your idiotic games should be the least of your concern-"
The front door to the dorm suddenly opened.
"Hey we're back."
Everyone looked towards the dorm's front door and saw Banri and Omi standing there.
"Welcome back, Banri and Mom!" Taichi yelled.
"Hey Nanao, you're gonna tackle both Settsu and Fushimi!" Sakyo yelled.
"Gahh I'm so sorry Sakyo!"
"How did it go?"
"Do you feel better?"
"Is Banri gonna die?"
"Woah there, guys! Questions can be answered later! Right now Banri just needs to rest!" Omi chuckled.
"Geez, and Banri went to the hospital over some pudding, huh Juza." Tsumugi turnt his head towards Juza's direction.
"Huh? Where's Hyodo? I thought I told him to wait with us." Sakyo gritted his teeth.
"Come down, hes probably just using the restroom." Tasuku responded.
"Eh who gives a damn where Hyodo is, I'm gonna go back to my room, I'm tired." Banri declared as he walked down the hallway.
Banri opened the door to find cups of pudding on the floor.
"What the hell?" Banri said outloud.
"Whaddya want?"
Banri turned towards the direction of the voice only to find Juza munching down on an 8 pudding pack.
"Why the hell are you eating all those damn puddings?"
"Well, you went to the hospital because your greedy ass ate my pudding, so now I'm doing both of us a favor by eating all the pudding."
"What the hell man. I think there's something wrong with you AND your taste buds." Banri sighed
"What? You want one?" Juza said, with a mouth full of pudding, while offering Banri a cup of pudding.
"Oh fuck you." Banri replied.
"Fuck you too." Juza said, with a smile.

I MISS YOU, SAYING THIS MAKES ME MISS YOU EVEN MORE,
I MISS YOU, EVEN THOUGH I’M LOOKING AT YOUR PHOTO
TIME’S SO CRUEL, I HATE US
SEEING EACH OTHER FOR ONCE IS NOW SO HARD BETWEEN US
Tsumugi was gone, like he never existed.
Every trace of him that was ever in Tasuku’s life was gone, there was nothing left. The apartment was left empty, bare, lifeless; it felt nothing like home, not anymore. When Tasuku searched the apartment, there was truly nothing that resembled any evidence Tsumugi was even alive. It was as if, he didn’t want Tasuku to remember him. To forget, to ignore the person he had shared his entire life with.
Tasuku paused at the one sign Tsumugi was real: the single framed picture near the front door. It was placed on the counter, the same stand where the couple would drop their keys at so they knew where everything was. Tasuku wanted to hear the sound of the metal clattering against the ceramic bowl Tsumugi crafted in pottery class, to hear Tsumugi affectionately call out, “I’m home!”, and for his brown peacoat jacket to be hung on the hook behind the door. Tasuku wanted Tsumugi to come back.
When Tasuku picked up the picture, his hand was shaking. Tasuku remembered this exact frame: the day he realized he was in love with his best friend. Tsumugi’s blue eyes were staring straight at the Tasuku with an indescribable look, an expression created and meant for Tasuku only. Characters closer than rehearsal called for, like they were the only two people in the world. It was moments before Tasuku had leaned in and kissed his co–star on stage on opening night, going against the script and changing the rest of his life forever.
Tsumugi looked alive. Real, like he could’ve just had him forever right then and there. A tear dropped onto the glass, running down the frame before Tasuku covered his mouth with his free hand, falling down to his knees as he held the photo to his chest. He couldn’t help but cry, cry for all the years he had spent loving someone who just left. Being in love with a man who woke up and took everything with him, disappearing into thin air. All Tasuku had left of Tsumugi were the memories, and this single picture.
Tasuku exhaled, his breath coming out short and ragged as he stared at the picture again despite knowing every detail. He could feel everything: the intense heat of the stagelights upon them, the shocked stares of the cast and murmurs backstage, the overwhelming applause and standing ovation from the crowd after the scene. The way Tsumugi couldn’t let go of his hand, trembling under the sudden attention but never faltering.
Tasuku remembered how he stood in front of Tsumugi anytime someone questioned it, feeling his gentle touch at the base of his back for comfort. The endless lingering stares in practice, the unanswered questions about how this happened, the kiss on stage that was too real. How that night, Tsumugi pulled them into the apartment for more like he couldn’t wait anymore after all these years just to say, “I love you, Ta–chan”.
Tasuku’s tears streamed down his face silently, for once feeling the anguish and heartbreak his roles felt. The abandoned apartment was only Tasuku’s, like Tsumugi didn’t spend the last three years living with him. It was as if, Tsumugi never loved him.
Tasuku loved Tsumugi, so, so much.
IT’S ALL WINTER HERE, EVEN IN AUGUST
MY HEART IS RUNNING ON THE TIME
ALONE ON THE SNOWPIERCER
WANNA GET TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE EARTH, HOLDING YOUR HAND
Tasuku was gone, and it was all his fault.
Tsumugi gripped the ticket in his hand, staring down the luggage he hastily packed. It was nearly bursting at the seams as he fiddled with the buckles, making sure nothing could hold him back from leaving his home. Nothing could keep Tsumugi from staying, as he silenced his phone and pocketed it away, missing the tens of calls and hundreds of text messages from his one and only. Tsumugi knew if he even checked for a second, he’d come running back to the man he loved most only to fail him again.
Tsumugi leaned back in his seat in the waiting area, surrounded by few, none of whom recognized him. How could they, when he had given up on succeeding as an actor like a coward? Tsumugi pulled up the collar of his jacket, slouching into his coat to hide from the rest of the world. He didn’t deserve to show his face, not after everything he did to Tasuku.
Tasuku would’ve woken up by now to go on his morning run. Tsumugi was supposed to beg him not to go, wanting the warmth to stay in bed just a little longer. Tasuku was supposed to firmly say no, give a kiss on the cheek as compensation, but come back much sooner than expected with a pretty flower he picked for Tsumugi. Tsumugi would get up and put in a vase, and the two would share breakfast together like always. It was the same for the past three years, Tsumugi felt his stomach rumble, he wasn’t a fan of breaking routine.
Tsumugi stared at his ticket, luckily recognizing the location he picked. He had to go, to leave, to abandon everything he had here with Tasuku that he impulsively arrived at the station with nothing but a suitcase and hopes for amnesia. However, it could’ve helped if Tsumugi even knew where this town was in Japan exactly, where his new start would be. He just knew it was far enough, and Tasuku would never find him there.
Tsumugi couldn’t help but think of how Tasuku must have been doing. Was he okay? Did he just think Tsumugi was out doing random errands? They were low on eggs, that could’ve bought him some time. Yet, some part of him, some selfish, undeserving fraction of his heart, wanted Tasuku to be running to the train station and taking him home. Back into his arms and safe from every insecurity Tsumugi ever had, Tsumugi wanted to come home.
As Tsumugi stood up, clutching his luggage with him and turning towards the exit to apologize to his boyfriend, the automated voice overheard announced his train was leaving in five minutes. Tsumugi stopped, the crowd pushing against his direction as they all headed towards the train. Tsumugi slowly turned too, forcing himself towards the entrance as he looked back once. Tasuku wasn’t there, maybe he didn’t want him to come back.
Tsumugi entered the train and found his seat, refusing to look out of his window. If he did, he would’ve saw Tasuku sprinting down the train station corridors and missing the train that took off.
If only, Tsumugi closed his eyes and leaned his head against the window as he sat alone, he was enough for Tasuku.
But, he wasn’t. Not now.
WANNA PUT AN END TO THIS WINTER
HOW MUCH LONGING SHOULD WE SEE SNOWING DOWN, TO HAVE THE DAYS OF SPRING, FRIEND?
When Tasuku departed the train station, out of breath from his fastest mile time yet, it began to snow. God must’ve hated him, wanted him to suffer, because Tasuku dropped down onto a bench for cover and stared at the snowflakes. He thought about how Tsumugi would’ve reacted, knowing how much his lover adored the winter season.
It was when Tsumugi’s timid, shy voice would amplify when he discussed anything he loved (did Tsumugi ever do that when the topic approached Tasuku?). Tsumugi would excitedly rave about the Christmas lights decorating the mall plaza that illuminated every shadow on his face in a rainbow of colors, the peppermint candy cane in his hot chocolate with those tiny marshmallows Tasuku always found too sweet but pretended to like anyways, even the minature train set up for the little kids to ride on and the fake but enthusiastic Santa sitting on a throne (Tsumugi liked reminding everyone Tasuku believed in Santa until third grade, much to his embarrassment).
Most importantly, Tsumugi loved the snow. When the first snow came, Tsumugi dropped everything he was doing to run outside and take it all in. More than once, Tasuku had to follow his boyfriend and attempt to convince Tsumugi to come inside or else he’d get sick. But, when Tasuku saw the white snowflakes surrounded Tsumugi’s midnight blue hair like a halo, the youthful energy building in his wide, happy eyes, and the way Tsumugi’s cheeks were flushed just waiting to be adored, Tasuku would stay outside for his angel even if it meant nursing him back to health.
Tasuku reached his hand out, feeling the soft embrace of the snow upon his fingertips. Was this a sign Tsumugi was still with him? Or, was this the universe’s fucked–up way of telling him to move on? His hand started shaking again, Tasuku dropped it to his side, wondering if it was because the temperature dropped significantly or he was still experiencing the side–effects of an anxiety attack. Frustrated, Tasuku wiped the tears off his face as he took out his phone and tried again. It went straight to voicemail, and Tasuku blinked away the remaining tears as he looked up at the grey clouds.
“Hello~ This is Tsukioka Tsumugi, I’m so sorry for not responding! If you have a message, please share at this beep! Beep~”
Tasuku hung onto every word, pretending like Tsumugi was next to him admiring the snow with awe. But, he wasn’t, not now or not ever for the next few years. Tasuku shivered, steeling his face as he sadly stared at the snow, wishing it wasn’t winter.
“Look outside. It’s the first snow.” Tasuku simply stated before hanging up, standing up and leaving the station. Tasuku didn’t look back, there was nothing for him left anymore, not even Tsumugi.
The snow seemed to follow him home, Tasuku wondered if the snow would bring Tsumugi back to him. Back home, back to him.
LIKE THE TINY DUST FLOATING IN THE AIR
WILL I GET TO YOU FASTER, IF I WAS THE SNOW IN THE AIR?
Tsumugi woke up just a hour later, awaken by the train chugging along the icy tracks as the passengers murmured something about the cold. Blinking slowly, Tsumugi adjusted his eyes to the darkened sky as he watched the urban city transform into a rural, country landscape. Yet, no matter where he went, there was snow.
Sitting up, Tsumugi pressed his face against the glass as he giddily admired the first snow of the winter season. He turned to the empty seat next to him, a big smile on his tired face.
“Ta–chan, look—” Tsumugi started, before his voice faded off to silence. An awkward, sheepish laugh left his lips when Tsumugi noticed the train attendant was shooting odd glances at him, though he expected some reaction since Tsumugi was an adult talking to nothing. Tsumugi shuffled back to look through the window, but it wasn’t the same. When was the last time he had experienced the first snow alone? Tasuku was always with him, but not anymore.
The snow swirled like it was a graceful waltz, and Tsumugi fondly remembered him and Tasuku’s first dance. It was perhaps a year into living together as roommates, and it was much later than they had anticipated. The radio was on, classical music a low hum in the background as Tasuku and Tsumugi studied their new scripts. It was another college play and the two were meant to learn ballroom dancing for their roles.
Tsumugi remembered the way Tasuku’s large frame let Tsumugi rest his head comfortably on his chest, the way their hands perfectly fit together, how they swayed in their empty kitchen like they were married. Tsumugi faintly traced his lips, remembering how Tasuku was about to lean in when he looked down, but Tsumugi had laughed and pushed him away, talking about how Tasuku always got too serious and connected to his characters. He regretted it, he should’ve kissed Tasuku back then.
Tsumugi finally broke down, trying to keep in his sobs as he tried to focus on the snow. He curled into a fetal position on the seat, closing his jacket around his mouth as he slammed his eyes shut. He knew his sniffles couldn’t be heard over the train operating, so he cried underneath the first snow.
Tsumugi didn’t even kiss Tasuku before he left forever.
SNOWFLAKES FALL DOWN AND GET FARTHER AWAY LITTLE BY LITTLE
I MISS YOU, I MISS YOU
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT AND HOW MANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS DO I HAVE TO SPEND TO SEE YOU, TO MEET YOU
Tsumugi stepped into the snow. After thanking the train conductor and checking out, the quiet town was covered in snow by the time he arrrived. It was still early afternoon, the tall skyscrapers and bustling citylife were gone, it was quiet now. This would be his community for the rest of his life, just hours away from his home. He was about to become a new person, but, how could he when the snow followed wherever he was?
Tsumugi stood at the entrance, not blocking anyone’s way since no one was there to begin with. It was just him underneath the roof of the station, waiting by the route map for a bus. It should be here in the next thirty minutes, so Tsumugi leaned against the exterior with a sigh, his breath soldifying mid–air. It was cold, frozen almost and Tsumugi’s hands felt like ice from being outside. It was winter, after all.
Fidgeting, Tsumugi shifted back and forth as he tried to find something to look at other than the snow. But, the vast land stretched for miles, buried in white like a snow globe. There was nothing here, and Tsumugi was afraid there was nothing for him as well.
A buzz. It caught Tsumugi’s attention as he impulsively checked his phone despite his rule not to. The silence must’ve turned off after a certain amount of time, as Tsumugi scrolled through the notifications bar. Just some colleagues congratulating him on his move, and family members requesting postcards. That was it, Tsumugi was about to close out of the messages before he noticed a number he memorized near the voicemail section.
Tsumugi pressed speaker, putting the phone next to his ear as he heard the stomp of work boots against the snow. And then, a quiet shudder, like a breath he held in for too long. Tasuku spoke but it sounded far away, like he really wasn’t there anymore.
“Look outside. It’s the first snow.” The line ended and Tsumugi blinked, trying to keep his tears in but he was so exhausted. Tsumugi dropped down to sit against the wall, sobbing loudly with no one to hear him for miles. Tsumugi held the phone to his chest, replaying the voicemail over and over again just to hear the love of his life’s voice. The same as always, never–changing and serious like his life depended on it.
Tsumugi cried and cried under the first snow until his bus arrived, the driver staring at him with something of concern. Tsumugi pushed himself back up at the sound of the bus stopping and gripped his bag, heading up the stairs and trying to pay the fare respectfully. A single word wasn’t exchanged, but the driver simply shook his head and gestured for him to go sit anywhere he wanted.
Tsumugi was too tired to insist on paying, just numbly nodded and rested his head against the window.
He wondered if Tasuku was looking at the same sky as him right now.
PASSING BY THE EDGE OF COLD WINTER
UNTIL THE DAYS OF SPRING, UNTIL THE DAYS OF FLOWER BLOSSOMS
PLEASE STAY, PLEASE STAY THERE A LITTLE LONGER
Tasuku called Tsumugi every day until the number was changed. He had left voicemails updating Tsumugi of his day, his days that were all the same. Every time Tasuku tried to apologize, his pride couldn’t make him say sorry without sounding like he was being forced, so he didn’t. Tasuku didn’t insist Tsumugi to come home, only to stay safe and take his time.
Tasuku told Tsumugi about their favorite theatre holding another play, one which he would have gotten front row tickets for. About how strangely quiet it was, not having to keep a watering of plants schedule anymore, having to wake up and go to sleep alone, not knowing where Tsumugi was. Tasuku spoke more than he ever did back then, knowing if this was his only way to be in touch with Tsumugi, he was going to take it and run like hell.
It was mid–winter early morning, and Tasuku was running, phone against his ear as he instinctually nearly picked a flower to bring home. He stopped, slightly panting as he waited for Tsumugi’s typical voicemail, but it didn’t beep. Instead, it was an automated voice, informing him this number was currently inactive.
Tasuku realized, that number was one of the only things he had left of Tsumugi.
Tasuku hung up, in disbelief as he pocketed his phone. Did he even listen to his voicemails? Where was he? Why couldn’t he just answer? Tasuku was about to phone Tsumugi again just to make sure, but one look at his contact picture was enough to make him stop and put it away. He knew too much about Tsumugi, but he had never felt this confused about someone in his entire life. Was this, for the best? Why did he change his number? Was this a sign?
Perhaps, it was finally time to move on, as the snow fell around Tasuku.
IS IT YOU WHO CHANGED, OR IS IT ME?
I HATE THIS MOMENT, THIS TIME FLOWING BY
WE ARE CHANGED, YOU KNOW
JUST LIKE EVERYONE YOU KNOW
Tsumugi tried to moved on, forgetting all about his past as he buried himself in his work and need to just ignore his past. He regularly updated his family on his predicament, claiming it was his mid–life crisis despite being in his early twenties. None of them asked about Tasuku, it was like they knew what had happened between them. Tsumugi built himself a life on a lie, conversing well with co–workers but coming back to an empty apartment at the end of the day.
At night, that’s when Tsumugi thought about Tasuku the most. Laying in bed through the sleepless nights without any want to close his eyes. How could he when all Tsumugi could see was Tasuku, Tasuku who he left because he was scared. Tsumugi stared up at the ceiling, the moonlight coming in through his open window as the curtains swayed slightly in the wind. The room was blue, and so was Tsumugi.
Leaving wasn’t planned, but it wasn’t a quick decision, either. Tsumugi remembered it all, falling in love with his best friend which he wasn’t worthy of. It was the night before everything changed, the last argument they had together. It was late, so late Tsumugi couldn’t keep his eyes open without crying when Tasuku raised his voice. He knew he didn’t mean to, he knew that now.
But back then, Tsumugi was so scared and trembling and terrified of how big Tasuku was. How intense he was with everything he said, the unrelenting passion burning and fueling Tasuku to do everything he did. Tasuku was fire, uncontrollable, raging flames that over time, melted Tsumugi to be nothing but a weak form of who he used to be.
“Tsumugi, why do you always give up like this? You can’t quit, you can’t keep doing this!” Tasuku demanded an answer, slamming his fist down on the kitchen table as he stood up, making Tsumugi flinch in his usual seat. When Tsumugi had told Tasuku they needed to talk, he didn’t expect this. Not the burning anger in Tasuku’s eyes, like this was the ultimate betrayal: to quit acting.
“I... I’m so sorry, Ta–chan.” Tsumugi tried to smile, but his form was shaking. He was shivering despite waking up in the middle of the night in Tasuku’s arms. Tasuku scoffed, like this whole situation was unbelievable, like he didn’t even know who Tsumugi was.
“We—you promised we’d be acting on the same stage together, to be in the same troupe together, do you remember that?” Tasuku spoke, all the frustrations he hid inside him coming out and singing every corner of Tsumugi’s stability. Tsumugi nodded carefully, trying to hide his shaky hands underneath the table as he gripped the base of the chair. He couldn’t start crying, not right now, not in front of Tasuku.
“I know, but I can’t. Not anymore, not when I can’t be the actor you want me to be.” Tsumugi tried to reason, but Tasuku just became even angrier. Like, this was the worst possible thing he could have ever said to him. Tsumugi wanted to reach out and flatten the creases on Tasuku’s forehead, gently cup his face with his trembling hands just to show he still loved him. But when Tsumugi tried to move closer, Tasuku held his hand up, like he couldn’t bear being anywhere near Tsumugi.
“Why do you keep doing this? Why... when we’re happy together?” Tasuku asked, but even he sounded unsure. Was Tsumugi happy with this relationship? Was this why he was quitting? Tsumugi didn’t say anything, just stared at his lover in silence with the pain of a thousand lifetimes. As if, this was his breaking point. Like, acting was slowly killing him to the point he had to run away. Or was it their relationship that pushed Tsumugi away? Did it go too fast? Was it not enough?
“What does this mean for us?” Tsumugi finally choked out, clearing his throat at his voice crack towards the end. The clock ticked, onward and onward even though it felt like time stopped. Tasuku just shook his head and went back into the bathroom. Tsumugi knew, this was the end.
Before Tasuku went, he stopped at the entrance and looked at Tsumugi, with something of tiredness and love all at once. Like, there was still a chance. “Let’s talk about this tomorrow morning, okay?” Tasuku offered, not questioning a thing when Tsumugi nodded with his fingers crossed behind his back.
Tsumugi stayed in the kitchen, keeping in his sobs as he let the tears finally fall down his face. He didn’t know ending his career would feel like the end of his first and only relationship.
Tsumugi went into their shared bedroom after he composed himself, but had to hang onto the door frame when he saw Tasuku was sleeping again, just with dried tears on his pillow. Tsumugi couldn’t do this to Tasuku, not when he couldn’t be the best actor for his boyfriend.
So, Tsumugi just took the suitcase he packed beforehand in case worst came to worst, he didn’t expect to use it. Tsumugi quietly was about to leave the bedroom, but looked back, wanting nothing more than to go back to bed and pretend like this break up never happened. He knew how much Tasuku must’ve been hurting, to have all these years acting together thrown away. Tsumugi couldn’t be selfish this time, not anymore, and left without another word.
Tsumugi always remembered it, how Tasuku cried himself to sleep because Tsumugi quit. That was all he could do, give up when it became too hot. That’s all he always did, nothing changed.
Tsumugi listened to the voicemails one last time, crying into his pillow as he heard the man he loved’s voice echo in his bedroom. He knew, he had to let go, to force Tasuku to move on. How could Tasuku love him after all this time, when he wasn’t the person he thought Tsumugi was? Which life was a lie, this one or the one where he acted on stage with Tasuku?
When Tsumugi changed his number, he didn’t look back. He had to move on, too, even if he was still in love with his best friend. Tsumugi would never see Tasuku again, knowing he was somewhere living his dream of acting was enough, that was more than enough. Tsumugi closed his eyes as the snow embraced him, falling delicately upon his eyelashes as a single tear dropped to the ground.
Tsumugi promised one day, he would see Tasuku on stage again.
YES I HATE YOU, YOU LEFT ME
BUT I NEVER STOPPED THINKING ABOUT YOU, NOT EVEN A DAY
HONESTLY I MISS YOU, BUT I’LL ERASE YOU
‘CAUSE IT HURTS LESS THAN TO BLAME YOU
Tasuku couldn’t move on. Not when he didn’t know where his boyfriend disappeared to, not when no one refused to tell him anything and lied their way out of the situation. It was as if everybody knew but Tasuku, as if he wasn’t that important to know to begin with. He couldn’t accept that Tsumugi was gone, that he was somewhere else out of his reach.
Recently, Tasuku started sleeping sooner just to dream of his face again. But it had been so long, that even small details he cherished were beginning to become blurry, faded even. It was better than nothing, pretending the love of his life was still here with him. Like he never left, like he had no reason to leave.
Why did he leave? Tasuku came home from practice and slammed the door that night, shaking the room as he entered. Without warning, glass shattered next to his feet as a picture frame fell. Tasuku picked it up with his bare hands, ignoring the sudden cut he got on his fingers as he gripped the frame tightly, staring at the picture with a sudden anger. Rage, undeniable, full–blown frustration that boiled ever since Tsumugi left. Something Tasuku had been avoiding to confront, something he didn’t want to do to avoid satisfying the demons.
But, Tasuku was so angry. Why did Tsumugi quit acting without telling him before the decision? Didn’t he trust him, why didn’t he trust him? Tasuku swore, kicking the pieces of glass to fly across the floor. What did he do wrong? Why wasn’t he worthy of Tsumugi’s love? Tasuku was shaking with rage, staring at Tsumugi’s photographed face and wondering if everything the angel convinced him of was a ploy, a fabricated web of lies that trapped him like a fool. Did Tsumugi even love him? Why did he lie about tomorrow morning? Why did he leave?
Why did he quit on them?
Tasuku shouted, releasing all the pent–up grief inside him as he threw the frame at the wall with a sickening thud, watching as it smashed even more. Why did he quit? Why, why, why? If only they talked the next morning, maybe Tasuku could’ve persuaded him to keep going, to stay with him, to not give up. Tasuku carefully went over to the photo, pulling out of the frame as he held it with both hands, sadly staring at Tsumugi. This was all he had left of him.
Tasuku tried to rip it in half, but his hands didn’t move. There was nothing he could have done, he couldn’t bring himself to break his heart even more. Tasuku let out a strangled sob, letting the picture flutter to the floor as he roughly pushed his own tears away, hating how tired he was from crying so much.
This was all he had left of Tsumugi, but maybe he didn’t want it anymore. Tasuku caught sight of the nightly snow. Maybe, he had to move on or else there would be nothing left for him.
Wherever Tsumugi was, it wasn’t with Tasuku, and that was the greatest betrayal of all.
I TRY TO EXHALE YOU IN PAIN, LIKE SMOKE, LIKE WHITE SMOKE
I SAY THAT I’LL ERASE YOU, BUT I CAN’T REALLY LET YOU GO YET
Tsumugi sat back row, farthest away from the stage years later. It was closing night for God Troupe, unforeseeably Tasuku’s last show for the troupe as Tsumugi watched with tears. Tasuku had grown so much, got even stronger and had the same stoic, serious persona as always. But his passion was even more electric, more intense, and more fiery all at once. It burned every time Tasuku immersed his entire soul in his character and it was like he wasn’t even himself anymore. Tsumugi almost didn’t recognize him, but his heart called out like it was still in love.
Tsumugi needed closure, just one last time he’d see his best friend. Although years had passed, Tsumugi still loved him and thought of Tasuku every time. He knew Tasuku didn’t feel the same, at least, not anymore. But, he promised himself that he would see Tasuku on stage again, Tsumugi couldn’t keep breaking his honor anymore, he had to keep this word. Tsumugi thought about his life, and how it was split between life before and after Tasuku, but no matter which stage he was at, Tasuku was always there.
Tasuku was always there, but not Tsumugi. Tsumugi left on his own accord, and to this day, he regretted it. As the show ended and Tasuku took a graceful bow towards the audience, Tsumugi gripped the bouquet of flowers in his hands as he shook, hiding behind the audience giving a standing ovation. There was no way in his right mind he could walk up and expect Tasuku to accept him back into his life, because that was unfair. To come back after all these years, not anymore, he had his wish fulfilled, now it was time to leave again.
Before Tsumugi could leave into the train station and disappear into the night, a flyer flew across the sky as it landed directly in front of Tsumugi’s feet. As he was about to board the train, Tsumugi picked it up and read the title, auditions for a threatre troupe named Mankai. He had seen their Autumn Troupe play, and it even made him want to step onto stage again. The doors were about to close, about to take Tsumugi away from Veludo Way and Tasuku forever. He didn’t know what possessed him to do so, but Tsumugi quickly departed and hurried out of the station. Auditions were tomorrow, something told him he had to be there.
Tsumugi stared at the white roses, feeling the thorns pierce his palm as he exhaled into the frigid air. It was about to be winter again, after all these years, he’d have his first snow under the same sky as Tasuku again.
Tsumugi couldn’t leave again, not now. Tsumugi wanted to be worthy of giving white roses to Tasuku.
YOU KNOW IT ALL, YOU’RE MY BEST FRIEND
THE MORNING WILL COME AGAIN, NO DARKNESS, NO SEASON IS ETERNAL
Practice was tense with everything left unsaid between the two leads. Tasuku and Tsumugi saw each other after a street act, and the rest was unexplained history. The moment Tsumugi saw his ex–boyfriend, he winced when Tasuku glared at him with all the hatred in the world. He knew he deserved it, but it didn’t hurt any less.
Nothing could have indicated Tasuku still loved him: every time Tsumugi walked into a room, he’d leave muttering about the burden he had to carry, when Tsumugi was talking, he looked like he wasn’t listening, sometimes when Tsumugi acted, Tasuku wasn’t even connected to his character and would just refuse to cooperate. It was hurting the play, Tsumugi didn’t know what to do as the leader of Winter Troupe but also as a lovesick liar in love with his best friend.
Tasuku was rightfully angry. He had been angry ever since he broke that picture frame, it was the official end of their relationship. Tasuku never thought he’d see Tsumugi’s face again on Veludo Way, not after missing each and every single one of his God Troupe shows. Here he was, claiming his place in Tasuku’s broken heart like he had never left. But, he did. Tsumugi did leave and abandon him to the city, giving no answers and only raising more questions after all these years. How could he come back after all he did? Tasuku was angry, but he didn’t know if he was spiteful towards what happened between them or scared that Tsumugi might run away again.
Every time Tsumugi acted, it was like they were back in college all over again. Tsumugi never changed despite his multiple years of being on break, his acting style was subdued and simple, subtle but honest, it carried more feeling than Tasuku could ever describe. They were opposites, Tasuku was not everflowing like water, he wasn’t adaptable and constant like a river bend, but crackling with energy and passion like a flame. Maybe, that’s why Tsumugi left, so he wouldn’t extinguish both of them.
When Tsumugi looked into his eyes at the practice room, Tasuku’s breath hitched in his throat as he didn’t pay attention to the script, staring back with nothing but coldness. Frigid like the winter Tsumugi loved so much, maybe if he was just as freezing and indifferent, Tsumugi would still love him.
“You’re my best friend—” Tsumugi started but Tasuku turned on his heel and left without warning, slamming the door behind him as he ran. Ran to wherever was far away from his best friend. He wanted it to be true so bad, but not when he could be abandoned again without mercy.
Tasuku didn’t want to leave, but he had to or else he’d want to stay forever with Tsumugi. If Tsumugi left this time, he didn’t know how he’d move on this time.
MAYBE IT’S CHERRY BLOSSOMS AND THIS WINTER WILL BE OVER
I MISS YOU, I MISS YOU
WAIT A LITTLE BIT, JUST A FEW MORE NIGHTS
I’LL BE THERE TO SEE YOU, I’LL GO THERE TO MEET YOU
I’LL COME FOR YOU
Tsumugi was gone, again.
When Tasuku woke up from a nightmare of their last fight again to an empty dorm, his heart nearly stopped as he scrambled out of bed, flipping Tsumugi’s duvet over to find nothing but wrinked sheets. He couldn’t have left, how dare he? Leave when he had Winter Troupe under his name, after years of not seeing each other, how could he—Tasuku looked towards the window and stopped, staring outside as the moonlight illuminated the cold night sky in Veludo Way.
It was the first snow of winter.
Tasuku knew what he had to do, old habits die hard, after all. Tasuku didn’t bother putting a coat on, just rushing outside leaving the door open as he ran to the courtyard, snow crunching underneath his feet as he paused at the edge. Tsumugi was standing still in his pajamas, that blue sweatshirt he kept with “Snowdrop” on it covering his shaking hands as his head was tilted back, staring at the snow with wonder and amazement. It was the happiest Tsumugi looked, and Tasuku’s heart simmered down a little bit as he carefully approached closer, like he was afraid of scaring him away forever.
Tsumugi snapped out of his trance when Tasuku covered his shoulders with a blanket, whipping his face towards the taller male with a surprised look, not realizing how close they were. Tasuku couldn’t move his hands from Tsumugi’s shoulders, he couldn’t look away from Tsumugi’s teary eyes as Tsumugi let out a forced laugh, the air around him freezing as it disappeared like smoke.
“Go inside, you’ll get sick before the play.” Tasuku ordered, but made no effort to pull him in. Tsumugi blinked, nodding as he focused on Tasuku’s eyes, he had so many questions he only imagined asking. Tsumugi couldn’t read a thing about Tasuku, it was like he was a stranger he would never see again. But under this snow, under the same sky, they were together again, and it was more than whatever Tsumugi deserved.
“Dance with me.” Tsumugi breathed out, guiding Tasuku’s hands to his waist as he took his hand, not knowing why he needed this so bad. Tasuku was about to object before Tsumugi placed his head on his shoulder, holding in the tears as he begged, “Please, just one last time”. Tasuku stiffly nodded, gripping his hand like he didn’t want to ever let go. It was silent, but the two swayed like they were back in their apartment kitchen, a year into university with nothing to worry about except being on stage together.
“Why’d you go outside?” Tasuku asked, gently spinning Tsumugi like he was made of glass. When he spun back into his arms, Tsumugi sadly smiled, like this was the warmest he’d ever feel again.
“I needed to know if you’d come for me.” Tsumugi whispered, afraid of breaking the moment as he gazed up at the man he was in love with. He had his answer, Tasuku would still follow him even if it meant freezing from the snow at midnight. Tsumugi knew it was selfish, but...
He wanted to be selfish, just one more time. When Tsumugi stood on his toes to inch forward, nervously trembling from what he was risking right now, Tasuku didn’t react. He didn’t move, just took Tsumugi in like he wasn’t going to get this ever again. Like, this was the final goodbye they were supposed to promise each other that next morning.
It was long overdue. Tasuku saw how Tsumugi was about to run away again, lean back and leave. Not again, not if he couldn’t help it. Tasuku closed the distance, as if making up for all the time they lost as they kissed under the first snow, knowing there was so much to be said but not having the heart to bring back the past. It was too much, too much that Tsumugi couldn’t help but pull him back when Tasuku was about to move. He was so selfish, he just wanted Tasuku in this moment even if it meant never communicating with him again, he was in love with a man he had hurt over and over again.
“Promise me,” Tasuku mumbled before their lips met again, staring into Tsumugi’s eyes with no familiarity whatsoever. It was like they were two completely different people who had no connection to each other, two strangers that would’ve walked by each other without a second glance. “We’ll talk about this tomorrow morning.”
This time, Tsumugi nodded without crossing his fingers, his hands wrapped around Tasuku’s neck as he pulled him back down, knowing they had tomorrow to talk. To heal, to mend, to fix whatever was damaged. If Tasuku would let him back, if he let Tsumugi prove he was different now, better now, worthy of any relationship Tasuku wanted.
They were different people now, but it was the first snow of a winter they finally had together after a long, long time.

Bro what if,,, winter troupe cuddling/napping together headcanons😳??????
bro ,,, ur absolutely right . . . i'm getting Heated just thinkin bout it 😳 (accidentally let female reader insert slip in tasuku's,, i almost hc he fears women)
Winter Troupe Cuddle/Nap Headcanons:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hisoka is already out like a light in either scenario, so there's not much to go on about. And He May Not Look Like It .... but he is big spoon. This ain't even a joke
How he cuddles depends on the environment. In bed, he's obviously going to cuddle from behind, arms curled tight around the waist with his chin either tucked atop the head or nose buried in the hair.
His legs go wild though, u never know what to expect. Either he wraps his legs around your hips like he's holding a large body pillow, or they're tangled with yours.
Napping on sofa? Flat out laid across the whole thing. He's dead to the world. He won't budge if you lay right on top of him, but an arm will definitely wrap around your shoulders to keep you there. The other members are pissed off tho.
They can sit on the floor.
Speaking of the floor, it's his favourite spot to lay down. He either curls up like a cat or lays in a position that looks like he's getting ready to be put in a casket. Either one is capable of startling the other members.
In his curled up position, he likes to hold hands. It doesn't have to be both, but he Has to Hold a Hand or a marshmallow bag – pls. It's not a comfortable position if you've ever laid down on the floor like that with no cushion, so the warmth of a hand is very comforting and will make him fall asleep like Babpy.
He doesn't talk much when cuddling or napping (duh, fucc . . .) but he does babble at times, depending on his dream.
He doesn't kiss either, but he is super affectionate anyways, if you consider him burying his face in your neck or hair counts. His hands don't wander though too! He is such a good kid!
Tumblr media
Homare... Oh Homare...
He's a big spoon! But dis bitch don't even know what he doin!
Napping is like something that doesn't exist in his vocabulary so when he's suddenly asked if he could nap with you, at first he says No. Sorry,,, poems and all hahaha . . .
But he comes around not too long after. Writing poems is exhausting guys!!!
I think he likes cuddling face to face. It gives him inspiration cause he likes to stare at things that are pretty and breathtaking plus this position definitely gives his heart some ooey gooey goodness feelings.
Cuddling only happens in the bed. He doesn't understand how it works outside of it, Don't Push Him it's Improper...
His arms cradle you almost like a baby, with one arm wrapped around your back and the other supporting your neck, fingers gently brushing through the soft hair at the back of your head.
He lets you fall asleep first most of the time and uses part of his nap time to admire the features of your face, every so often brushing his fingers along the bridge of your nose or your brow bones. Words just pop in his head when he does this, and they're always used when describing you. They're included in his next poem.
Cuddling and napping has actually improved some of his writing to the point that even Tasuku is patient to listen sometimes.
Tumblr media
Speaking of Tasuku; Talk about Big Big Beefy Spoon hahaha , .,, he is so handsome.... im whipped
He's one of those people that are like "women don't exist". I'm so close to calling him an incel, no experience with women whatsoever don't let the canon story tell u otherwise.
Surprisingly enough tho, he's awesome to cuddle with. Those big muscles he's always workin on can actually do something for once.
He doesn't nap a lot, only after an intense afternoon jog does he rest. But he needs to take a shower so that happens first.
So that means he smells good,, EXTREMELY good during cuddles... and his body is warm so it's even better.
He naps on his back, with his arms crossed underneath his head, ankles crossed over the other. It's such a relaxing position for him as it stretches the muscles in his arms and it releases the strain in his back.
You can easily swoop in and latch yourself onto his side. He won't do much to complain and will rather peek an eye open to see who it is. Once he knows it's you, an arm will escape from under his head and coil around your shoulders to pull you in much closer.
He gets flustered when you slip your hand under his shirt to rest on his abdomen, but he's so warm and ur widdle fingers are cold :(
He kisses the top of your head when you both wake up an hour or so later and affectionately rubs your squishy cheek with his thumb when you don't get up right away.
Cuddling outside of the bedroom is very limited, but when it happens,,, it is so intimate that it has even Sakyo eyeing you two,,, Pretty sure there were gagging noises at some point when you were casually sitting on his lap while eating lunch.
Tumblr media
Tsumugi!!!!! Oh my Babey!!!!!
He is little spoon most of the time, but he Can and Will hold you when he is feeling confident about it.
He actually talks a lot while cuddling, mostly about his interests, his family, or childhood memories shared with Tasuku. But this is when he's big spoon.
He likes it face to face, but gets flustered easily so he prefers spooning most of the time. Whispering into your about something is always so fun because he can see your ears get red even though his are heating up too.
His arms are tight around your waist at first, but they eventually loosen as he gets sleepier and sleepier, until he falls asleep while talking about something his grandma taught him when he was younger.
When he's the small spoon though, he's knocked out like a light. He gets pretty tired considering he works late hours with tutoring and tending the flowers, so when he asks to be held, it's just so that he can get all the rest he needs to talk about his day with you the next morning.
Cuddling face to face is so embarrassing!!!! But he super duper likes it because he loves watching your eyelashes flutter or your smile get wider whenever he says something funny.
His fingers sometimes accidentally trail into questionable territory (like under ur shirt) because he's rubbing your back as you both talk and he flushes and apologises even if you don't notice.
He loves to give you back hugs outside of the bedroom, but doesn't let it escalate much!
Really, he is so soft. 100/10 would recommend.
Tumblr media
And here comes: King of Cuddling. Azuma Yukishiro. He's the most versatile of the bunch, and almost always manages to make cuddling inappropriate with you because he loves how your body feels beneath his fingers.
He almost teases you the first time you ask to cuddle, but eventually says yes. But what's worse,,, he brings u to his room. . . so u don't know what's gonna happen
Again, he's versatile so he can be the big spoon, small spoon, or he can be big macho man and lay down with you like how Tasuku does.
His Job was Literally This so most of the time he waits for you to tell him about your day and nods along in interest and hums at the most appropriate times.
His eyes are very ... intense. They stare at you so sweetly that it leaves you speechless, and it causes Azuma to laugh.
"Such a cute bunny." He'd coo and brush some hair away from your face, tucking it behind your ear.
His hands would be awfully touchy, trailing down your arm or waist while the other would be playing with your hair or caressing your face. And if he felt like if, he'd slip his hand underneath your shirt and scratch his nails along your back, or even teasingly dip his fingers into your shorts before pinching your waist.
If you're finished talking, he'll gently ask if you're ready to nap now and will cradle your head to his chest, lips kissing your crown as he held you with his fingers buried in your hair.
The occasional nights where he has a nightmare, he almost silently asks you if you could hold him, and nearly melts in your arms when you do.
He quietly laughs wetly against your skin when you copy the actions he does to you, soothingly dragging your palm against his arm while your lips are pressed to the top of his head. He thanks you, genuinely, and responds by kissing your throat.
And then you both fall asleep to the sound of your breaths going along in tandem.
Cuddling outside of the bedroom is also quite rare for him, but when's feeling playful he'll somehow trick or coax you into sitting on his lap
Or sometimes when you're working on a puzzle or colouring book together and sitting on the floor, he'll slowly make his way to your side, shuffling ever so close
Eventually you succumb to the warmth that's at your side and rest against him, and he'll smile secretly and comb his fingers through your hair.

Hello... Could you please do A3 characters x Izumi please... Like she was stalk by someone but kept quiet to not bother anyone and was attacked... The guys save her and ask why she kept quiet... Can you write for all troupe mebers please...
Absolutely! I did this one a little different, since I feel like this would be a huge group effort to protect Izumi.
Spring Troupe + Someone Stalking Izumi
They team up with the Summer Troupe to gather intel. Most of them are still in school (Itaru's car is their getaway vehicle) so they do whatever they can around the dorm to protect Izumi from anyone getting in. Masumi clings to Izumi and will not let go.
Summer Troupe + Someone Stalking Izumi
Tenma uses some of his connections and gets information on the stalker; Kazunari, Yuki and Muku are lookouts with Taichi, and Misumi drop kicks the stalker when they're found.
Autumn Troupe + Someone Stalking Izumi
All of these boys go into Ultra Protective Mode. Omi, Juza, and Banri are patrolling the streets for the stalker, Sakyo has had 15 cameras installed, and Taichi is scouting out suspects with Sakoda.
Winter Troupe + Someone Stalking Izumi
They're very covert with how they deal with the stalker. Azuma and Hisoka are quiet, creeping up on them. Homare chases them off by reading some of his works. Tsumugi and Tasuku do whatever they can to report the stalker to the authorities, all while comforting Izumi.

You've been working super hard lately. Why not take a break with headcanons for all the company that you feel should be canon! - Rebel
Rebel!! Ily! 💞 this was super interesting to think about!
Headcanons that I Think Should Be Canon
Homare is trans and autistic. No I do not take constructive criticism,
Tsumugi and Tasuku are in love. Just sayin'. They have an incredibly good relationship and they work well with each other.
Tenma opening up to his fellow actors more. He's taken the first steps but I definitely think he can do more 💕
Yuki and Muku's relationship as friends. I loved, loved, loved Yuki's character arc but I really want to see more of them interacting. They make a good duo.
I want to know more about the Autumn and Winter troupes!!! Just sayin'!

Uh, sorry! Can I ask about winter and summer trouble reaction for trans MC? I hope this is not too problematic.. Have a good day and thanks for your work!! 🥺
It’s not a problem at all! Please don’t apologize - this was a really interesting prompt and I’m glad you asked! (My personal headcanon is that Homare is trans too~)
Summer Troupe Reactions to a trans!MC
Tenma - Isn’t really sure what to think of at first - then he does some research. Immediately he’s supportive and constantly asking the MC if they need anything. (Er, not that he’s concerned or anything, he just wants to keep everyone happy-)
Yuki - Super supportive and only grumbles about retaking costume measurements if the MC gets surgery. Makes sure they’re extra comfortable in anything they wear, and will resize regular outfits if asked.
Muku - Confused at first. He asks Tenma what it means to be trans, then takes all the research Tenma did and studies it. Asks the MC a bunch of questions about their experiences.
Misumi - Doesn’t mind at all! As long as the MC can keep up with him during triangle hunts, he’s happy! Brings the MC a Super Mr. Triangle if they feel especially down.
Kazunari - Much like Misumi, he doesn’t mind. Pronouns are easy as breathing to him, and gets upset if someone messes up. Even if the MC tells Kazunari it’s okay, he’ll still be a little upset.
Winter Troupe Reactions to a trans!MC
Tsumugi - Incredibly supportive and brings the MC flowers when they come out to him. The bouquet consisted of an arrangement of cannon ball tree flowers.
Tasuku - Doesn’t make a difference to him. He’ll be extra careful and check up on the MC if they’ve been rehearsing for too long, though.
Azuma - Doesn’t mind, much like Tasuku. Will lend his shoulder to the MC whenever they need it.
Hisoka - Looks up at them from his nap. Goes back to sleep. He’s completely okay with it - Hisoka also gives the MC some marshmallows one day.
Homare - Composes a poem when the MC comes out. It’s... surprisingly not bad. Homare can relate to the MC, so he’ll definitely be accepting.

Izumi: No, no. We do.
Tasuku: No, we don't.

Tsumugi/Tasuku Relationship Headcanons
First headcanon post on this blog! I asked my discord server to choose from a small list I have going. Likes and reblogs greatly appreciated!
Can and will stay up until 3 AM watching romcom plays/musicals under the excuse it's for research.
Can and will act out those scenes when they think no one is looking. (Kamekichi knows, though.)
When Tsumugi's feeling down about his acting ability, Tasuku's right next to him giving encouragement and critiques.
They try to keep their relationship low-key at the start, but eventually Homare caught wind and composed a poem for the occasion...
"You should've told me earlier! Here, I have written a piece to commemorate your everlasting love!"
The poem is horrid, but they appreciated the sentiment.
Azuma immediately organizes a party that contained lots and lots of alcohol. Tasuku was so hungover he couldn't go to rehearsal for the next two days.
Izumi made celebratory curry. No one understood why.
