as the NFL season approaches i would just like to take the time to say to Deshaun Watson, the Cleveland Browns’ organization and the NFL organization a big fuck you
if you are not aware of the situation surrounding Cleveland Browns’ new QB Deshaun Watson, let me fill you in a bit:
In March 2021, massage therapist Ashley Solis came forward and filed a claim of sexual misconduct against Watson. After Solis came forward another 23 - yes TWENTY THREE - women came forward and filed sexual misconduct lawsuits including 2 sexual assault lawsuits against the QB. In the cases of sexual assault it is said that Watson would force the massage therapists to perform oral intercourse on him and in one case grabbed a woman by her buttocks and vagina.
As NFL fans watched this situation unfold, many made the assumption that Watson’s days as an NFL player would be nothing short but over. But in the 2021-2022 season Watson was benched by the Houston Texans but was still a member of the organization and in March of this year he was traded to the Cleveland Browns. Upon his arrival the Cleveland Browns put out this statement..
Tumblr media
Which to me just sounds like “We really don’t care that he’s tied to sexually assaulting dozens of women and also we hate women but we’re going to act like we care”
Anyways as a result of Watson’s trial that was held yesterday former federal judge Sue L. Robinson found Watson guilty of violating the personal conduct policy and suspended him ONLY SIX GAMES. TWO DOZEN SEXUAL MISCONDUCT/ASSAULT LAWSUITS AND ONLY SUSPENDED SIX GAMES
For context, let’s go through a list of player suspensions for some insignificant offenses:
- Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley: suspended at least an entire season for betting money on games he had no involvement in.
- Kansas City WR Josh Gordon was suspended 78 games for smoking marijuana
- Arizona Cardinals WR Deandre Hopkins: suspended 6 games for using PEDs
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady: suspended 4 games for under inflated footballs
Although these suspensions may be valid in terms of some of the NFL’s policies. Once you see the suspensions I’m about to mention you’ll understand why I call those offenses “insignificant”
- Former Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice: suspended 2 games for domestic violence toward his fiancé
- Former NFL RB Adrian Peterson: suspended 6 games after being arrested for felony child abuse
- Former Carolina Panthers DE Greg Hardy: had his suspension lowered from 10 games to 4 after assaulting his girlfriend at the time
- Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliot: suspended 6 games for hitting women
- Former St. Louis Rams DE Leonard Little: suspended 8 games after committing vehicular homicide
- Former NFL WR Donte Stallworth: suspended 16 games after committing DUI Manslaughter
- Las Vegas Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III: charged with DUI resulting in death and has yet to be handed a penalty by the NFL
There are other cases and suspensions like this but I think you guys get the jist.
I am so sick and tired of these athletes getting away with these crimes just because of who they are and their status. It’s not fair that they get to ruin other people’s lives just to go about living their lives like nothing happened while leaving the victims to deal with the trauma. It’s time that the NFL and other sports organizations step up and hold these players accountable and ban them from playing in these leagues. Letting these athletes keep playing after committing these crimes sends the message to the young kids and anybody who watches those leagues that the crimes these men commit aren’t that serious and that there aren’t serious consequences for these actions. This could potentially switch the mentality of many young men to a very dangerous one.
As a young woman who enjoys the NFL and other sports it genuinely upsets and scares me how easily these athletes get off after committing these very serious crimes. It really goes to show how much these organizations don’t give a shit about women or any other minority or anyone/anything else in the sports world other than themselves and their pockets. It seems as though these leagues and athletes don’t care who gets hurt in the process as long as they get paid in the end. It’s truly sickening and terrifying to see what this world has come to.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished first in the NFC South with a record of 8-9. Though they finished with a losing record it was the best of a division where the other three teams all finished 7-10.😲 Now that QB Tom Brady has officially retired, a priority will be to secure a franchise quarterback.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made a resounding commitment to their starting quarterback, agreeing to terms with Baker Mayfield on a three-year, $100 million contract extension. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the deal includes a staggering $50 million guaranteed.
The move solidifies Mayfield's status as the face of the franchise, rewarding him for a career-revitalizing campaign in 2023. After joining the Bucs on a modest $4 million deal in the wake of Tom Brady's retirement, the former No. 1 overall pick seized the opportunity, posting personal bests in completions (364), passing yards (4,045), and touchdowns (28).
Mayfield's resurgence was instrumental in propelling Tampa Bay to its third consecutive NFC South title and a hard-fought wild card victory. His rapport with star wideout Mike Evans was particularly notable, as the two connected for one of Evans' most productive seasons. Chris Godwin also eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards, while emerging tight end Cade Otton took a significant step forward.
While Mayfield's deep ball has historically been a strength, he experienced some inconsistencies in that area last season, completing just 29.7% of his attempts beyond 20 yards for 744 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions. If he can shore up that aspect of his game, it could unlock even greater potential for the Bucs' aerial attack.
Despite the ups and downs, Mayfield's body of work proved enough to convince Tampa Bay's brass to make a substantial long-term investment. Over his seven-year career, the 27-year-old has amassed 20,333 passing yards, 130 touchdowns, and a 2-2 postseason record.
The Buccaneers entered the offseason with a clear priority: retaining their core performers slated for free agency. They've already checked several boxes, re-signing Evans and franchising safety Antoine Winfield Jr. in hopes of working out an extension by summer.
By locking down Mayfield, Tampa Bay ensures continuity on offense as they pursue another divisional crown and a deeper playoff run. The legal tampering period begins Monday, March 11th, but the quarterback conversation in Tampa is now settled.
While work remains to bolster the roster, the Bucs have solidified their foundation by keeping Mayfield at the helm of an attack that tormented defenses in 2023. As the team builds around its franchise QB, expectations will be high for Tampa to contend for championships in the coming years.

Tom Brady’s Retirement, the Impact It May Have on the NFL, and What It Means If He Comes Back Again
On February 1, 2023, Tom Brady took to Twitter to announce his retirement once again with a brief video of him thanking his fans and supporters.
Tumblr media
Brady in the 2021 season heading into his 10th Super Bowl
The public is suspicious that Brady may not stay retired after what he did last year. In 2022, Brady announced that he was going to retire on Feb. 1. 40 days later Brady announced that he was coming out of retirement to play with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers again. Gabriel Perkins-Lamont said, “I think he should stay retired, but it’s kind of up in the air right now. I could see him playing for the San Francisco 49ers of the Miami Dolphins in the next three years.”
If Brady does retire for good this time, many suspect that he will either become a sports caster or a coach. Patti Westby, wife to former sportswriter Mike Westby, spoke on the matter. Westby said, “I think it’s time for him to retire. I think he will go into coaching.” Many who weren’t already a fan of Brady, especially did not like the look of retiring and coming back.
While pointing out that she shared many of the same views as her husband, Westby said, “It shows that he doesn’t have a lot of integrity with his actions. It isn’t a good look hen someone retires but then comes back.” On the other hand, those who were fans of Brady were happy to see him come back. Perkins-Lamont defended Brady coming back by saying, “ I’m happy he came back, I’m happy that I was able to watch him play for a little longer.”
While Brady has had an amazing career, the overall agreement seems to be that it’s time for him to hang up the cleats and move on. Brady exiting the NFL will also open space for younger, up and coming quarterbacks, similar to a passing of the torch from the older generation of dynasty quarterbacks to the new generation. This new generation encompasses players such as Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Trevor Lawrence.
Tumblr media
The new generation of quarterbacks making their way in the NFL
While some, such as Perkins-Lamont, may consider Brady to be the greatest quarterback of all time and possibly the greatest NFL player of all time and may think that the league will never be the same without him, others are not so sure. When asked about the possible impact that Brady’s retirement may have on the NFL, Westby stated, “ When Russel Wilson moved to Denver, everyone thought that the Seahawks would suffer, but that wasn’t the case. It will be interesting to see the impact this could have.”
Whether Brady enjoys his retirement and moves on to greener pastures or comes back to play again, his legacy as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL will live on through the impacts that he has made in the league.

Super Bowl LVII: Mahomes MVP in Chiefs’ win
Tumblr media
PHOENIX (News4usonline) - Jalen Hurts outperformed Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl LVII. The way Hurts was playing it would have been just for him to be named the game’s MVP. Hurts rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns. He also added another 304 yards passing to help the Eagles put 35 points on the scoreboard. It wasn’t enough.   “You either win or you learn, that’s how I feel,” Hurts said after the game. “You either win or you learn. Win, lose, I always reflect on the things I could have done better, anything you could have done better to try and take that next step. That’ll be the same process I always have going on.” He set Super Bowl records for most rushing yards and rushing TDs by a QB. Hats off to @JalenHurts for an incredible #SBLVII performance. ? pic.twitter.com/i4icYoLzly— NFL (@NFL) February 13, 2023 The problem Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles ran into was this guy named Mahomes. Mahomes, the NFL’s regular season most valuable player, showed why he was tabbed as MVP.  He didn’t have his usual Patrick Mahomes outing where all of his passing mastery was on display, but Mahomes did what he does best and that was to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to victory. With the score knotted at 35-35 late in the fourth quarter, Mahomes led Kansas City down the field for the game-winning field goal to lift the Chiefs to a 38-35 win at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona.  “You know, I was expecting to have to go kick a field goal when we got closer down to the endzone, the thought went through my mind of, OK, we are going to score a touchdown,” Kansas City Chiefs placekicker Harrison Butker said about his 27-yard field goal with 11 seconds remaining in the game.  “But as soon as ‘MVS’ (wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling) took a knee and then Patrick took a knee, alright, it's pretty clear that we are kicking a field goal a shorter field goal, so I got a couple more reps in the net and then we went out there and executed and everybody did a great job.”  The win was the second for head coach Andy Reid and Mahomes. The Chiefs would have to get this win with guts and adjustments. By the time the first half ended, Hurts and the Eagles dominated and threatened to turn this game into a rout, something that Reid and Mahomes know something about.  The Chiefs were blasted by Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-9 in Super Bowl 55. And it was going bad for Kansas City in the first two quarters with Philadelphia taking command of the game with a 24-14 lead going into halftime. By that point, the Eagles already had 17 first downs to Kansas City’s six. Mahomes only had 89 passing yards in that first half.   Hurts was putting on a show, rushing for 63 of his total of 70 yards on the ground and going 183 yards in the air. Whatever was said in the Chiefs’ locker room at halftime worked. Kansas City outscored Philadelphia 24-11 in the second half to make this Super Bowl win No. 2 for Reid and Mahomes. Mahomes would finish the game going for an efficient 21 of 27 for 182 yards and three touchdowns. For his comeback efforts, Mahomes was named the game’s MVP. During his postgame press conference, Mahomes talked about what it means to win his second Super Bowl.
Tumblr media

Freeman/News4usonline “It's hard, it hasn't even sunk in I don’t even think yet,” Mahomes said. “I mean, I appreciate it. I appreciate it because of the failures. I mean the failure of losing a Super Bowl and losing the AFC championship game and gives you a greater appreciation to be standing here as a champion. Luckily, I'm going to Disneyland now, so I have Disney World and Disneyland crossed off and they will have to make some more parks so I can go around everywhere and do a world tour.” Kansas City’s victory was especially sweet for Reid. As the longtime head coach of the Eagles, before he was fired by the team and then hired by the Chiefs, Reid led the Eagles to numerous playoff appearances, five NFC Championships (1-4) and a trip to the Super Bowl. With Mahomes as his hired gunslinger, Reid has made it to five AFC title games and three Super Bowls. He is now 2-2 all-time in his four Super Bowl appearances. Reid talked about his appreciation for the city of Philadelphia and for the Eagles organization.  “You know this. We go way back,” Reid said. “I love Philadelphia. I love my time in Philadelphia. Phenomenal people, and we had some great years. I left the organization on a positive note with Jeff Lurie and really everybody there. There’s still three of their real good players. There’s still guys that I had a chance to coach and I’m so proud of them for the careers that they’ve had. It’s a great city. It’s a great city. As is Kansas City. I’ve been very fortunate, man. Very, very fortunate.”   Read the full article

Veronika Rajek is getting tired of all the needless Gisele Bndchen comparisons
Ever since she appeared wearing a Tom Brady jersey during a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game and confessed her love for the QB, model Veronika Rajek has suffered online bullying. Either news publications or Instagram users have relentlessly compared her to Gisele Bündchen, who is already Tom Brady’s ex wife. If we do compare both of them in terms of their success, Bündchen is worth literally hundreds of…

The end of an era? probably not lol
Tom Brady was absolutely humiliated by the Dallas defense, I mean it really wasn't pretty. He of course had his moments in the game being that he's the G.O.A.T but this game was not close. There were a few series at the beginning that made you think it might be a defensive struggle, but after those hiccups the Dallas offense took off. They flexed their star power all over the field and played up to their talent level instead down to their opponent and when they do that great things happen.
Per the usual the Buccaneers couldn't run the ball a lick, Tom Brady was under constant pressure, and their receivers couldn't get much separation. They were out classed in every sense of the word, but what does that mean for Tom Brady who threw the ball over 60 times in a loss to the Cowboys? Does he leave the game as the greatest quarterback to have ever played the game, that maybe stayed too long and realized the price he paid for greatness was way too steep? I highly doubt it, there are already rumors that he might be linking up with his old offensive coordinator in Las Vegas for one last run at the Superbowl. Some talking heads have him going to Miami and even staying in Tampa Bay, (I don't think so but you draw your own conclusions) I honestly think he should retire. What more does he have to prove?
This man has been to 10 Superbowls and won 7 of them, this man has been to more Superbowls than some franchises have. Just getting to the dance is an astronomical undertaking and to get there 10 times is incredible, as good as Patrick Mahomes is he might never go to that many Superbowls. He's proven he's not a system QB, and that it wasn't all Belicheck and his scheming. As far as accolades he has them all, the man is decorated like a christmas tree (in upper middle-class homes). If Tom Brady were to walk away from the game right now even after this bad season and that terrible loss, we can still remember the good times. However I think if he comes back it looks pathetic, he already gave up his marriage and family for a game that he said he would no longer play if it wasn't fun anymore. Tom, the game doesn't look fun anymore and the longer you stay the worse it looks, take a page from Cliff Kingsburry's book and take a long vacation some where tropical.

Tom Brady gives sarcastic response to Jalen Hurts stats at press conference

Ahead of Tampa Bay’s crucial week 17 matchup against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday, Brady gave an amusing response when asked about Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ season so far. Tom Brady Throws Super-Smelly Tantrum After Bucs Blowout Loss: ‘F**k That, I’m Going Home’
Tom Brady was so pissed about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers getting blown out in NorCal this weekend that he didn’t even shower before leaving the stadium! The star quarterback and his team lost 35-7 to the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, California on Sunday afternoon. It should have been a resounding homecoming game for the superstar QB, since he grew up in the nearby town of San Mateo. But it…
