I am genuinely so sick of people on the tamagotchi subreddit saying you shouldn't give your tamagotchi snacks at all especially in p1 and p2 and that it will "100% DIE IF YOU DO"...The button is there for a reason
Hell, I've even seen people say it's "a trick" or a trick button...No, it isn't. Your tamagotchi needs both meals and snacks because snacks raise the weight and happiness higher. Meals also increase weight but not to the extent of snacks. You just need to burn off that baby weight by playing with it

An Australian toy store has revealed on eBay a series of special Easter edition shells for the Tamagotchi Generation 1 and 2! They showed two Gen 1 colors and three Gen 2 colors, and the packaging is unique to celebrate the holiday. No official announcement has been revealed yet.

Another update on my tamagotchi*
*post created before KB Byte’s tragic demise. My phone was having issues and not letting me attach images but it’s sorted so I’m posting this now
I ended up pausing KB Byte last night coz he was starting to get quite needy and I heard somewhere that they get really needy when they’re close to dying and I didn’t want him to die yet
Two of his siblings arrived today so I unpaused him so he could meet them.
Here’s a quick lil size comparison:
I still haven’t been brave enough to start up the Toy Story one but I started the mix
I got a beautiful baby boy who then evolved into a lovely orange.
He is still currently nameless. A part of me wants to keep the “Byte” surname but idk what to make the rest of his name.
