It distorts any words, rude gestures and other miscellaneous actions seen as unseemly

Rather painful to have your spirit distorted from its natural form

Ok so to start explaining the nightlight au

Nightlight au

Setting

instead of a digital circus nightlight au is set in a realm called the in-between

The in-between it is a realm that connects life and death and is controlled by the Sun and Moon

The Sun and Moon pick spirits that are passing over they deem fit to become part of the realm

in the process a spiritual connection is forged to the one that brought them over changing the way the soul appears

Adventures/quests

instead of adventures the cast are assigned "quests" given by the Sun or moon

These quests can be combined for both sides if the Moon or Sun agree or in special circumstances

They are normally however separated one for each side

Sides

The cast members are assigned to the side of the sun/moon depending on which one brought them over

While they are not exactly enemies they are not encouraged to get along with the other

and are given rewards if they are deemed to have done better than the other side in combined quests

Sun:

Members: Kinger zooble and Pomni kaufmo

Main inspiration: The members are based off electrical nightlights often used to comfort those scared of the night/dark

theme: stay safe during the night waiting for the sun to rise

Common symbols: sun trinkets, feathers, messengers

Moon:

Members: gangle Jax and Ragatha

Main inspiration: the members are based off old fashioned nightlights such as candles, used to work/guide one through the night

Theme: guiding those lost through the dark and embracing the night

Common symbols: flames, swirls, ???

How are the forms decided?

Besides the obvious of the sun and moon interfering with the form of the souls they are mostly based around myths/fokelore and a bit of a reflection of who the person was in life

Abstraction

Instead of abstraction... Well that's a surprise :)

Wither mist

Wither mist is what the in-between is made of and there are several types varying in strength

All types are highly corrosive and destructive to anything outside the realm
