Just worked something out
Using the cdg tool you can build from this article:
Along with these two lines in a script named bookmark in your path:
echo "$PWD" >> ~/.cdg_paths
You can create a system where you can just type bookmark in any directory to add it to a list of searchable shortcuts that you can pull up with the cdg command
Addition: thinking about using this to save commands too

Sorry I haven’t posted any new comics or cartoons lately. My website died recently and I’ve been taking time to fix it. Today’s comic is a repost from 2017, and honestly is probably the exact reason why my website is dead right now. Webdev is fun 🙃
I’m also taking medication that makes me super productive, BUT only if I focus on one thing at a time. The moment I start switching between tasks, everything breaks down and suddenly it’s 4am and I’m on Wikipedia researching Canada goose migration patterns and how to bake my own bread.
Thanks, ADHD.
Thanks for your patience 🫶🏽

Being a home sysadmin is like, magic, actually
I'm an unstoppable deity of WiFi. I have a special box that I've trained to hallucinate a router, a PC, three Minecraft servers, and twenty microservices. I am the Doctor Frankenstein for a Frankenstein's Monster that heats my room 20 degrees and is powered by enslaved electricity. Powered entirely by the freely available arcane knowledge that comprises the Github archives.
