Dirk Da Davo + Jean-Marie Aerts = DDDJMX EP !!! | Le Meilleur de la Synth Pop des Ann茅es 80 (synthpop80.com)
Jean-Marie Aerts, gitarist van Tiens Counter (?) en T.C. Matic, heeft het nooit plezant gevonden dat hij na het uiteenvallen van de band uit Oostende niet met zanger Arno Hintjes verder mocht, toen deze koos voor een solocarri猫re met jongere muzikanten.
Aan Aerts lag het niet, vond hij zelf. Ook hij, niet op de laatste plaats hij, had als gitarist het nodige bijgedragen aan het geluid van T.C. Matic, een wonderlijk stijlboeket.
Arno Hintjes liet niet na het over een 'Europees' geluid te hebben, maar Oostende heeft een haven, dus dat was logisch.
Tijdens optredens in Groningen, T.C. Matic tourde zich suf in de jaren '80, hadden ze niet terug van het Belgische kustgeluid, maar de mensen betaalden ook daar voor een kaartje.
Ik weet verder niets van Jean-Marie Aerts, behalve dat ik hem twee a drie keer zag optreden. Het onopvallendst was hij in de Vereeniging (Nijmegen), maar was hij daarom niet in vorm?
Eerlijk gezegd leek hij me in diverse opzichten de meest beschaafde van het stel, al had Jean-Marie zijn balorige momenten.
