the nero and airi connection is so important it's not just bcs theyre my faves

#sylhea talks maydare #i swear i made a post abt this somewhere but rn im remembering why them meeting and talking was may fav chapter it's so so important #like look theyre both- in a way- 'taken in' by kanon. kanon chose airi to be the saviour while kanon saved nero bcs he's essential #airi got kanon's 'hero' while nero got kanon's 'king'. one of them feared kanon while the other admires him #and yet kanon is their saviour. he took them away from a world that is cruel to them. yet airi and nero have different circumstances #oh my god wait there's more similarities than i thought #both of them were taken just after their important people had died and in a vulnerable state #airi back thwn had a childish (not meant to be /neg) mind while nero in the past was just a child #both are given a responsibility and both accepted them in different ways. while airi was in the delusion she's the 'protagonist' of maydare #nero understood what his purpose and what he's supposed to do. but also both of them wanted something they desire. they wanted 'peace'.#both of them wanted to be in a world where they can live freely. airi wanted to live the most of her delusions while nero wanted to live #the most of his life as a normal student. different but to its core they only wanted peace and be themselves freely.#and in the end both of them understood that they have to act their role in order to achieve that peace in this worl. they know they had to #face forward and fight.#IT'S THIS LONG AND IM NOT EVEN GETTING INTO WHAT MADE ME START THIS 😭 atp their parallels is the main focus here #so all of those and there's more. makia. their connection to makia.#nero is a friend of makia while airi is a friend of kazuha. and the people who knew about makia's past.#i'm guessing nero only knew makia's past life as the scarlet witch and dont know about her other past life #while airi only knew about makia's past as kazuha and didn't know about her being a reincarnation of scarlet witch #nero talking to airi about makia was also very important bcs yes makia already slapped airi into reality and makia was able to do it #bcs not only is she born and raised in maydare she also have memories of the other world. nero who is PURELY from this world and donxt know #about the other world helped airi accept that this IS an actual world. makia ACTUALLY lived in this world and she learned that from nero.#lmao i know that wasnt the intention bcs the intention was nero saying all that so there's proof makia really is the reincarnation of makia #but i'm already this far bro nero who's purely from maydare that came to know of the other world from someone else #and airi who is purely from the other world and isekai'd by someone else to maydare #it's so fascinating #god when this chapter comes to manga im hoping ppl dont immediately ship them #bcs to be honest i dont think airi is interested in men at all and nero is interested in romance in general #plus nero is 16 y/o while airi is 20 y/o so there's that LMAO #it's so insane to me how much damage airi actually had her experiences was actually REALLY traumatic

Lapis is so funny because she's so passively aggressive she could be so scary without even emitting a strong killing intent

Nero and makia's fountain scene is so shoujou-like that people thought nero's the second ml 😭😭😭 bros not even a love interest

#like no matter how much i love neromaki as a pair neither of them have romantic feelings for each other #there's no scene of one of them liking the other and what's more is that makia likes thor #nero does not show any romantic interest to anyone literally she just cares for his friends #now what gets me is that. airi asked him. airi asked him if he likes makia.#that already set the implication that nero MIGHT like makia #because nero didn't answered yes and didn't even deny it but rather he only gave a reason as to why he gifted makia a rice cooker #this wasn't the first time nero was asked something and avoided answering #makia asked if nero really is a commoner and don't secretly have noble blood which nero asked why she asked in return #the question was so close to the truth and so he DIDN'T answer #idk if makia's question caught him off guard but airi's question surely did #sylhea talks maydare

i'm going to cry this hits so hard

#i really love how much hits because we got to see makia's life as a student #we got to see her interactions with them and how their bonds get stronger #i really love the school life chapters to balance out the plot-heavy chapters because even the school chapters have importance!#and the build up with school chapters makes nero and makia's lines even more impactful #because we actually got to see them!#we witness them happen throughout the series which is a different feeling to when the mc already got their trusted companions from the past #the school chapters aren't even much they're mostly silly shenanegans #which made these students feel like students rather than what they actually are- important peices of their world #frey the fifth prince of ruschia lapis the black demon king descendant nero the lost prince of hermedes and makia the scarlet witch #(-the reincarnation) all of those titles are set aside when they're in lune ruschia. they got to be students- they got to be themselves #and they treat each other as themselves rather than their titles #even when they knew nero is a 'commoner' even when they knew makia and lapis are descendants of two of the great magicians #even when they knew frey is a prince and even when they knew makia is a guardian they treated each other the same. it applies to beatrice #as well even though she's acting lile your typical high noble ojou-sama she still treated everyone equally in terms of skills and was just #as competitive as makia is #literally gt9 and beatrice are the best part of mtm 🙏#and sure maybe the other students but i'm not attached to them as i am with gt9 #i really lile beatruce too i hope she and nicholas keeps playing bigger roles especially since she basically knew almost all of gt9 secrets #i really like all the characters here i can't hate a single one of them #sylhea talks maydare #i really really love how they stayed true with 'there's no hierchy ranks here just students and professors'#because ulysses was treated as a professor rather than a prince (people still admired him regardless) and frey is still treated #the same way as before..... or rather was treated worse since the girls avoided him when the fact that he is a prince revealed💀#actually hold on #no he was still treated the same even after that!

fucking sobbing at nero's words towards makia about gt9 they're so precious to him all the silly memories they've done i'm gonna cry

#SOBBING CRYING HE LOVES THEM SO MUCH #they're his family... his home....#the thing is since being adopted kanon and shatoma probably aren't counted as 'family' to him due to how distant they seem?#he's not that close to kanon sure but he's not *that* distant either #he respects him and appreciates the help and care he gave to him #i'm sure shatoma at some point also took part in taking care of nero #but both kanon and shatoma have their own things to deal with #him looking at the sky in ruschia... he's either kept away from the outside for a long time or frezier's sky isn't as blue as ruschia's #anyway sobbing gt9 might be his first friends and a group of people he could call 'home and family'#he treasures them a LOT. he knows the four of them will be split up due to circumstances but he believes in the future where #where the four of them will be together laughing besides each other again #sob....... nero....#sylhea talks maydare #nero being the first gt9 member to be introduced other than makia and being the last member whose secret is revealed means a lot to me #gt9 being a family is not an exaggeration. although makia have her family back in her hometown she never had friends growing up and only #and only had thor who suddenly got seperated from her #frey had a nice childhood despite the lack of love from his biological mother until gil's mother died and him being stripped away all #his rights as a prince so he goes from place to place never finding his own home.....#lapis who lost her clan that was betrayed by some members and even lost two of her limbs #and nero whose country was taken over and his family killed just when he was 6 years old #like fuck what the hell is the range #firsy from makia whose whole family alive then to frey whose biological mother and the consort he sees as his own mother died but #his father the king alive as well as his brothers to lapis' clan taken over and/or killed to nero's family killed and his empire taken over #country/empire uh anyway *hands in head* holy shit now that i look back to each member's lives before entering lune ruschia and gt9...#of course makia also lost so much and might've been more from her two previous lives #anyway also fucked up how not only was her ex-bestie been chosen by her killer as the savior but one of her friends is his killer's brother

the fact that nero said "under the directions of the great magicians" implies that he knows the people who saved him are reincarnations of the great magicians from the past
