For the past two years, while Super Junior is on hiatus, many groups disbanded, some of them lost their members, others re-debuted with a different group name or re-debuted as solo artists. Lots of rookie groups also debuted at the same time. Amidst everything that happened, I’m just glad that Super Junior came back celebrating their 12th year anniversary today. But just like any other groups, they also went through a lot of hardships, a lot of rough roads and imperfections. For a group which started with 13 members and to last for more than ten years, the journey must not be all things bright and beautiful. Even at this moment, we’re experiencing challenges. But just like how it was in the past, this too, shall pass.

You said a couple days ago that you’re thankful, sorry and that you love us. We feel the same way too. We are thankful for the mere existence of Super Junior, for your music, for the inspiration, for the humor, and for letting us experience a beautiful relationship an idol and a fan can have. We are also sorry for the moments when we failed to protect and support you. And most importantly, we love you guys no matter what. Let it be ‘thank you’, ‘sorry’, and ‘love you’ be the words for now. But let’s only be thankful and loving in the future. Let’s not be sorry because all we’ve gone through is worth it.

As an ELF for 7 years, we know how much you’re working hard for this comeback. Maybe twice or thrice as much as you normally do just to fill up the empty spaces of the other members who aren’t present and we thank you for that. I’m proud of my boys for standing strong despite everything. And I’m glad for being able to spend those years growing up with them. Those years were gold and legendary which will continue for more years in the future.
