On the Origin of Bowser's Species: A Theory

The original, only naturally existing Koopa bloodlines are the Koopa Troopas, Magikoopas, and Buzzy Beetles.

One day Kamek decided that the Koopas needed a future king to fulfill a prophecy, so he created Baby Bowser by combining Koopa DNA with dragon and human DNA. After Bowser reached adulthood and became king of the Koopas, Kamek created the Koopalings as well as more Koopa bloodlines using the same combinations of DNA, albeit in different ratios (with some bloodlines lacking dragon DNA). Later on, Bowser cloned himself to create Bowser Jr., who looks identical to Baby Bowser.

The mammalian features (hair, cartilaginous nose, and endothermy) that set Kamek's creations apart from all other Koopas come from their human DNA.

finding an obscure dreamcast game that briefly shows the whole Shining in the Darkness setting in 3D for the ending is blowing my mind a whole lot. Sadly her personality felt kinda off to me, i think she might be older here but Pyra should always be a hotheaded mess. Also the localization messed up Milo’s name. But whatever, it’s still a nice thing to find. And I love that the SitD hero is not shown and instead you just get the characters looking at the camera. SF1 ending vibes
