All his poor little meow meow energy it's showing and for some reason I'm a sucker for it (am I a bad person??)
***Okay so this belongs to a @snappyjenkins gifset and you can find the original post HERE. I'm so sorry. Didn't mean to steal or anything. Unfortunately Pinterest had no link. Thank you @phoenixflames12 so much for telling me.***
I must confess, I watched this movie mostly because of Shaun. Oh, he looked divine there! However, after watching it, I couldn't stop thinking about this short film for a long time... This movie is really good, multi-dimensional, and thought-provoking... Highly recommend it.
Did I mention that Shaun looked divine? Yes, he did! A bit tousled, with a three-day stubble... and that plaid shirt...
Returning to the movie... hmmm.
I'm curious about your opinions, did you like the film? What do you think: who or what was that stranger?
Shaun definitely looked divine... I think he had his hair dyed...
I've always wanted to be an archaeologist... I could help him... pass him the shovel, wipe the sweat off his forehead, actually, I could do anything with him...
I tend to spread myself thin across the interwebs. I don’t always see posts right away. So I’m posting a Shaun Sunday special rather late in the game. Let’s see…. This one taken by my friend, Kati Dahlman, has to be up there in my top favorites. He just looks so perfect it doesn’t seem real.
Finally got smart enough to make my #AudioDramaSunday list ahead of time so I wouldn't forget anything for once! We're gonna start today with the newest Magus Protocol episode which was phenomenal. Cole Weavers wrote this one and I just adore his writing. Also: Augustus is here 👀
Early access for the newest ep of @souloperatorpod was this week and y'all have a TREAT waiting for you tomorrow. Tot continues to astound me with her many talents and we also get to meet a new character who I'm already in love with
@tellnotalespod has brought us back to Julia and Riley who are overworking themselves (especially Riley. Let them sleep.) I love getting to hear from them in these mini eps but they DO make me want to shake Leo even harder Leo please talk to your friends please
@camlannpod episode 2 released this week and my gods it was so much fun. A blend of deep and emotional scenes and comedy (I'm still thinking about "The CW lied to me") I love every character with my whole heart and have been loving all the theories on tumblr about the show
New @innbetween was so sweet I love hearing the Lowlifes become actual friends. Phoebe thinking that everyone wanted her to leave squeezed my heart so hard and everyone insisting she stay because she was the one that they wanted for the quest??? Just so so good
@somewhereohio has once again knocked me flat with this episode. The worldbuilding around Jasmine and what's going on with her memories is incredible! I am an Orange Splice stan 1st and person 2nd. Also the Nadia/Alex scene breaks my heart because I know how they end 😭.
New Technomancy Project was SO GOOD!! And I was FUCKING RIGHT!!! I said this before but I love having all of them play Belial's game this time around and I don't think there's a single EPO agent who didn't make me cry this ep. The Technomancy Project continues to kick ass
Caught up on last weeks @thesiltverses and gods it fucked me up (affectionate) B Narr does such a fantastic job with Faulkner. I love him. I hate him. I want him to get whats coming to him & I want to protect him from it at the same time. B's performance knocks me flat every time
There was another special episode of @wakeofcorrosion this week featuring the Fringes' very own @totcoc0a and @taytayheyhey! I will never forgive them for what they did to my heart <3 Shaun Pellington wrote a killer script and deserves none of the blame even if it did break me
Continuing to make my way through the Storage Papers this week and episodes 13-19 were VERY good. I said "Nope, don't like that" out loud multiple times while listening to 19 which is the exact reaction you want from a horror pod.
This isn't a new episode listen but @wpwcpod has announced their existence and cast and im SO FUCKING EXCITED!! Not only do I love CL Hendry's writing but it will also feature the Fringes' very own Ollie Bannerman and @chainofbeing Cai Gwilym Pritchard I'm so hyped
Also not a new episode listen but Athan (creator of The Grotto) has announced that his album is coming out on March 29! If you've listened to The Grotto then you know Athan writes killer music. And if you dont listen to the Grotto: DO IT GO LISTEN RIGHT NOW ITS SO GOOD
Here on the Fringes we're preparing for the second half of the season! Episode 19 is available RIGHT NOW at patreon.com/PineTreePods and will be available to the public this Wednesday! Also gearing up to finish the last 3 episodes of season 3 which I'm super excited for
And over on @forgedbondspod the first half of the show is written! The cast has been thrown into a discord and has access to scripts now which is super exciting, I can't wait for yall to hear what's going to come from the first 24 eps
And that's all for this week! It's a long audiodrama Sunday post but there's just. So much good stuff going on. Every day I'm so grateful to exist in this audiodrama space and to share my work with yall <3
Actor and writer Nick Frost launches A Slice of Fried Gold, a hilarious and noshable memoir with recipes. He’s joined by Simon Pegg, his best friend and part-time lover. This event is part of London Literature Festival and was held at Southbank Royal Festival Hall on 22nd October 2023.
A real slice of fried gold!
So nice to chat to Nick Frost and Simon Pegg for the first time since Shaun of the Dead and for them to treat me to one of their spectacular looking in different directions photos. (Apparently if you are on Cluck they are looking straight at you!)
Had such an amazing time @southbankcentre with @friedgold and @simonpegg in conversation. Equal parts hilarious, fascinating and heart-warming. Honestly could have listened to these two for hours! This book is now officially the first ‘cookbook’ I’ve ever been dying to read… Big thanks to @hannahc_01 for securing the seats!
Was an absolute joy to have the opportunity to take my Partner to see the one and only NICK FROST, along with lifelong friend and fellow actor SIMON PEGG, to promote Frost's new memoir cook book A SLICE OF FRIED GOLD. From start to finish, watching these two legends chinwagging about old times and all their memories of living and working together was just incredible as a life-long fan of both of their work. The high points for me were all the anecdotes about their ceiling collapsing whilst they were getting high, and how Simon met his wife at an airport, after his and Nick's flight got delayed. Was nearly in tears every time Nick's mother got brought up. Truly was a special treat to see these two tonight. Now how's that for a piece of fried gold!?! YEAH BOIII!!
This is how you spend a Sunday evening! Love the @southbankcentre literature festival - love Nick Frost & Simon Pegg.
Had a lovely evening listening to Nick Frost and @simonpegg 🖤 Would love to know what percentage of Nicks Book is written about them being high 😂
Very funny evening of food and cooking chat (and definitely not anything SAG-related) tonight with Nick Frost discussing his new book 'A Slice of Fried Gold' with Simon Pegg at the Royal Festival Hall.
Backstage @southbankcentre with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg before their riotous conversation about friendship, food, filmmaking and Nick’s new memoir A Slice of Fried Gold. A hilarious and heart-warming night. Thanks to our amazing audience and all
Greetings Pop Pickers, just got in from seeing @simonpegg interviewing #Nickfrost at the @southbankcentre

Anonymous Asks: "What do you think are Jack's, Joseph's, Shaun's, Ian's, Nick's, and Jean's favorite foods and drinks?"
Ooooh I’m gonna do these a lil out of order for Headcanon Reasons~
Content: Food and drink talk
Joseph:
Okay so I know everyone headcanons him as Italian-American, but like… my little Jewish heart likes to think he’s Jewish
Some of his favourite foods are ones he remembers his bubbe making for him before she passed away and he ran away
Her brisket is the thing he misses the most, so soft with just a hint of hot sauce and horseradish. Sandwiched between two slices of freshly baked challah…
The slightly gross bagels and lox she used to buy for him on a Sunday morning
But also he’s a sucker for a greasy burger and slightly soggy fries, a strawberry milkshake on the side
Shitty boxed wine (or manischewitz lmao)
Jack:
So, Sunny Day Jack was meant to be an all-American guy, but this Jack is a weird amalgamation of Jack and Joseph
So, uh, he’s Jewish too now. It’s my house I get to make the rules, and the rules are I project onto characters
Apples may be his favourite snack, but for a meal? Matzo ball soup. It’s got vegetables, protein, carbs… if you make it the day before, you can skim off the schmaltz!
He also loves fruit salads and regular salads, and—no surprise here—blueberry pancakes
Any sort of fruit juice is good for him! He’ll freshly squeeze it himself to make sure there’s not too much sugar
Man loves milk
Shaun:
Shaun is an accomplished man in many respects, but uhhhh… cooking is not one of them
He’s not the worst at it, he can make himself ready meals or boxed mac and cheese or simple dishes
But generally, he kinda prefers to just get food in. Chinese, Thai, and Indian are absolutely his favourites, but he does also like to try new places when he can
He’s a big fan of sandwiches! Any filling, he just loves something he can hold in one hand while he works
As for drinks, he loves a good smoothie. Especially those super healthy green ones full of like kale and spinach and stuff
Shaun’s alcoholic drink of choice is vodka
Ian:
Ian’s a pretty good cook! Not like… professional chef level, but he likes to watch cooking shows
He’s picked up a few things, and he’s learned to cook all of his favourite foods
He makes an absolutely delicious ramen, a very good full English breakfast, and he’s also a decent baker. Pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls of course
Breakfasts are definitely his specialty, especially things that are good for breakfast in bed
He loves strawberry milk, it’s almost silly how excited he gets about it (but also so cute)
He’s a big fan of all types of tea!
Nick:
Now, Ian may be a good cook, but Nick is almost a professional level cook. He’s practiced for years
He’s good enough to make his own new recipes if he knows the basic ingredients needed
He specializes in all types of rice and pasta and bread, all made by hand. Fried rice, coconut rice, carbonara, bolognese, naan, pizza, anything like that
He does love a good pain au chocolat, especially with a hot coffee. It’s his ideal breakfast
When it comes to drinks, he mostly sticks with water and coffee, but sometimes he’ll drink soda
He’s a sucker for lemonade
Jean:
Look, Jean never wanted to be an actor. He wanted to be a baker. It’s why he stuck with the Rory role for so long.
He’s not like… the best at it, just cause he doesn’t have much time to practice
But he definitely loves to eat sweets! Cakes and cookies, macrons and meringues, parfaits and puddings. Anything sweet, he has a major sweet tooth!
Cafe foods and drinks in general are his favourites. Croissants, doughnuts, coffee, tea
He loves a good cup of hot chocolate, with marshmallows and whipped cream
So my addition to the Sunday Shaun Special where anything goes…
I love that acting isn't his only game and I love the way he talks about the very immediate satisfaction of being just a guy with a camera. I have no doubt that his photography is every bit as good as his acting and his directing. I hope one day we'll get a chance to see it.

That’s a wrap from Gallifrey One this year, but what a weekend it was! Disney+ chose Gallifrey One as the time and the place to launch their promo campaign for Doctor Who, including a special message to the convention and a new promotional poster. Gallifrey One Program Director Shaun Lyon tells us what went into that. Also, Simon…
It wasn’t a great year. This mostly post-pandemic year was filled with anxiety and changes. I could hardly focus on anything so there are only a few things that were truly memorable.
I was able to reconnect with music, after many years barely listening to anything, suddenly it was the only thing that I could enjoy without having to force myself to pay attention, I could just feel.
I found that I still pretty much love MCR and one thing I could focus on was watching the live streams from their Return tour, every night a different set list, different memories. It really helped me get through my days - funny how they are still out there saving lives 20 years later.
I saw 113 films, read 64 books and seen many series.
Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order:
MOVIES
Aftersun (2022) - definitely my favorite movie this year, nothing made me feel as much as the last 30 minutes of this film.
Petite Maman (2021) - there’s like 5 people in this movie, it’s mostly two litte girls playing around I loved every second of it.
The Worst Person in the World (2021) - being an adult is hard and we don’t have to know everything
Dial M for Murder (1954) - had a very special time seeing this, and it’s really good.
Mars One (2022) - another movie with a wonderful kid who dreams bigger than anything in the world
C’mon C’mon (2021) - my favorite films this year all starred little kids, there are moments here so precious
The Lost Daughter (2021) - my first film this year and I still remember it so vividly.
CODA (2021) - the big Oscar winner and I still agree with this decision, it’s precious and memorable.
The Green Knight (2021) - Not enough people have seen this, Dev Patel and Alicia Vikander have my heart forever
Metal Lords (2022) - made me remember my teenage years and why I loved music/metal so much
Licorece Pizza (2021) - I need to watch this again but I remember feeling so good while seen this on the big screen
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) - my second favorite movie this year, it seems crazy but its really not.
BOOKS
The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon - I loved reading it, I remember not being very into the Danger Days themes and at that point not even listening to music at all anymore, coming back to things and falling in love with this world was a special thing.
I Am, I Am, I Am: Seventeen Brushes with Death by Maggie O'Farrell - one of the most beautiful conversations about death that I have ever read, here death it’s not something distant, it’s a thing that we brush hands with everyday.
My Life Had Stood a Loaded Gun by Emily Dickinson - I finally finished the Dickinson tv series on Apple TV+ and I just had to read some of her work, this collection was on my nightstand for many months and I read it over and over again.
TV SERIES
The Staircase - I was addicted to both the 2022 HBO tv mini-series and the original documentary from 2004, it’s a wild ride and it still makes me question so many things.
The Bear - at a time I could barely focus on anything, I managed to nearly binge watch this show, I can’t explain why it’s impossible to take our eyes off of it, but it’s brilliant and immersive and intense.
House of The Dragon - I really had low expectations for this and it blew my mind every sunday, it might be better than GOT.
Star Trek: Lower Decks - If you are looking for a comedy sci-fi series that doesn’t take itself too seriously and knows how to entertain and mantain a cohesive plot this is it. So far, three seasons of pure joy.
Irma Vep - Olivier Assayas had one of the most brilliant moments in any media this year and almost no one saw it, it’s a shame that so many are missing out one of the best tv series ever.
MUSIC
Past Lives by L.S. Dunes (2022) - I pratically lived off this album since it was released in past two months, its perfect, there’s not one bad song.
I’m probably forgetting other things that I liked, this is a sad list compared to other years and I will try to make better choices this year.
