Legend says when sailors received undiluted rum, they called it "Due North"...#organically grown cane #smallbatch (made in #Brooklyn!🏙) #RUM: - was rationed to soldiers and sailors on both sides… - initially generated by enslaved Africans in the #Caribbean, it was used as currency to purchase more humans brutally transplanted to the “#SugarIslands” (to make more)... - rum created so much wealth for Colonial N.
