hey!! i noticed sheinside was under questioning on your shops page and i thought id just let you know about my experience!!! i bought from them for the first time recently and i had no problems at all. shipping was free and the packages came in about 2 weeks. im small so everything that was one size only fit me just fine, and i was really pleased with the material and quality of the clothes. im definitely buying from them again and i would recommend!!!

i'm glad you had a good experience (and if you posted a review i would love to read it/reblog it here)

however the issue with sheinside wasn't that they had bad service, it was related to art theft drama and a blogger allegedly being dropped for her weight

since the blogger incident is something i haven't seen direct proof of (and tumblr is a dangerous place in that regard) then it's not something that is for sure to me, and the art theft thing isn't sheinside's fault, it's chinese manufacturers who are stealing art from people online.

another problem i have w/ tumblr's reaction to this is that when this happens, i've seen that the artists don't actually contact the company, instead they just post about it? i think signal boosting about it should be the last resort instead of the first one, but who knows.

so all of that is speculation really--related to tumblr's reaction to sheinside and romwe rather than my own.

my issues with the stores is that they both mark up the prices of knock off items ridiculously and it's often not worth it. i've found sweaters that were sold on romwe/sheinside for like 1/3 of the price on ebay with free shipping as well. so it's only really worth it if you can't pay for it somewhere else where it'd be cheaper. or if it's like, one of the romwe originals.

i've not really seen substantial evidence of sheinside/romwe being bad service wise or quality wise--i mean, outside of the fact that they're cheap knock offs of designer products. so if people are expecting a lot in that department then they're wrong to do so.

but for all of these reasons, sheinside is under the scrutiny list instead of the bad shops list. i need more information to put it in either category--like if i bought from them personally or found out more information about the blogger incident (which definitely bothers me) then it would sway me one way or the other.
