im working on a leviathan!stone design, its loosely based on the sea dragon&emperor leviathans, and super inspired by @pink-ink-goblin and @tyrannysaurusfloof 's amazing sea otter Stone designs i adore that design and the 4 arms, I hope you don't mind me giving my leviathan stone 4 arms too

Ivo is VERY possessive of his human, and you're very correct in assuming he doesn't like other knights getting handsy with Stone. ESPECIALLY Sir Thomas.

As for your second question, Sir Stone wouldn't know a magic tome from a cookbook, so no. But he's extremely good at combat, so he keeps unwanted assassins, knights, and court mages from bothering Ivo now that the kingdom knows where Ivo's cave is located. He's also strangely adept at alchemy, which prompts Ivo to take him on as an assistant as well as a bodyguard. (And maybe 👀 other things too 👀)

thinkin’ abt ur knight!stone and dragon!robotnik and i like the idea of stone actually being quite good at yknow… Killing as per usual. He’s sent on a different mission (maybe slays another dragon? idk) and when robotnik witnesses the aftermath he’s like “omfg this dude could’ve actually killed me if he wanted. that’s hot.”

Stone is a VERY efficient knight and has slain dragons before. He'd never met a dragon that could speak in a human tongue, however, which is what initially stops him from immediately attacking Ivo.

When Ivo sees Stone in combat for the first time, he's MORE than impressed. Ivo isn't much of a fighter himself - he's more suited for alchemy and conjuring dark magic - so having such a deadly knight by his side is certainly a plus.

If I may ask, why did Stone go to confront Dragon Robotnik? Was he sent there by the leader of a kingdom? Was it to prove something?

Sir Stone is a knight from the kingdom of Mobius, and he was sent by the King to slay Ivo the Wretched for the glory of their kingdom. Ivo had garnered quite a reputation in the region due to his regular theft of alchemic supplies and magical instruments and artifacts for his hoard, and although he wasn't typically violent, all dragons are feared and loathed, so he was considered violent and extremely dangerous.

That's the kind of dragon Stone expected to find when he tracked him to his lair, but instead he found Ivo to be intelligent, resourceful, and surprisingly uninterested in fighting knights. Stone is intrigued right away, and decides not to slay Ivo, but instead to assist him with his alchemic experiments.

OOOOOHHHHHH KNIGHT STONE AND DRAGON ROBOTNIK??? I'm intrigued 👀

Does Ivo being an orphan carry onto the Dragon au?

An orphan in every universe, I'm afraid.

If it makes you feel any better, it works a little differently with dragons in this AU. Since dragons hatch from eggs, they very rarely meet their parents and often grow up alone and in isolation. Ivo doesn't know who his parents are or if he'll ever meet them, but that doesn't bother him too much. He enjoys being alone with his hoard. (Until a certain knight comes along, that is!)

Robotnik dragon au? part of me says YOU NEED TO BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY!! Another part says is robotinik really going to join sir stone? And already asking if you are ever going to draw Stone Dragon

Ivo and Stone will definitely team up in this AU, pretty quickly too. In Stone's defense I would also drop everything and betray my kingdom if a big cool genius dragon showed me his cave and his super awesome alchemy lab

I actually know what Stone's dragon form looks like, but drawing dragons is haaaaard lol But I might sketch him sometime!

What’s the worst thing that Dragon Ivo has had to go through. Also with the recent success of Nimona, I wonder if you’d take any inspiration from that?

Ivo hasn't really had anything that terrible happen to him prior to meeting Stone. He lived in almost total seclusion in a massive cave under a mountain so far away from anything that he rarely saw anyone or anything other than birds and various other animals, and was always careful when raiding human villages. He was content to just work on his experiments and hone his magic. It wasn't until he caught the attention of the Kingdom of Mobius that his life started becoming a little more complicated, so you could say that the worst thing he's ever had to go through has yet to happen. (And probably involves something bad happening to a certain someone he may be developing feelings for...)

I loved Nimona!! As a non-binary person it resonated with me for obvious reasons. I can't say I took any inspiration from it though, I've been obsessed with the idea of a human/dragon relationship since I was a kid. If the inspiration is from anywhere, it's actually from a book I loved as a kid called Dealing With Dragons (it was a whole series actually!) which is about a princess who has Had Enough of being told what to do, so she runs away to get voluntarily captured by a dragon. She and her dragon end up becoming good friends, and when princes and knights come to try and rescue her, she tells them no thanks, go away please.

When I first read the book as a kid, I was DESPERATE for the princess and the dragon to fall in love. (They don't of course, it's a children's book series lol) Ever since then, though, I've used the idea of a dragon and a prince/princess/knight falling in love several times!

Dragons mate for life, so yes it's very similar! As for leaving marks, one bite from Ivo in his dragon form would unalive Stone for sure, so that's unfortunately not an option lol
