god i just realised that while steph was in a relationship with chris, he actively tried to get her to not visit a therapist during her time at university, particularly after her diagnosis. she stopped going, for a time, before returning and "forgetting" to tell chris about it. when he eventually found out, they fought.
she didn't stop attending.

🌟 / it’s 2am and i just remembered that all the wilkerson kids can, to varying levels of proficiency, irish step dance. georgie is the best, and can also do this while playing the fiddle, richie and steph are both average at it, and it’s the best party trick to pull out. it’s specifically spectacular if they’re all at the same place because they practiced together and are very good at the synchronisity aspect on little to no recent practice.

If you can believe it, Steph LAUGHS before she’s able to really consider the best approach to answer the question. OAKELY BLOOM.
“NO-ONE can explain Oakley.” Then, if anyone could give her the credit she deserves, it would be Steph.
“Depends on what you want to know, exactly.” Her sister’s voice was in the back of her mind now, worryingly EAGER to know EVERYTHING about Oakley Bloom, who had been to one too many Martin-Wilkerson family events to just be “a friend from uni”, who, Georgie was SURE, had more of a story to tell than having crashed fresher’s events the year Steph moved to London to study.
“We’ve been friends since… The first week I moved to London, haven’t been able to shake her since.” Neither of them had really TRIED to keep their distance from the other, and as a consequence had been around for some of the more stressful, damaging parts of their lives. But really, that’s not the INTERESTING part of the story.
The interesting part of the story wasn’t the support they provided each other with Chris and Sebastian, though perhaps… You could call what happened SUPPORT.
“Oakley is my… WIFE. We… Went out, not long after I got engaged to Chris, actually. Got PHENOMENALLY pissed, and… We never really got DIVORCED yet. According to the courts, it makes me more important than her mother when it comes to Dot. And that’s fine by me.”
She is, of course, leaving out the arguably most important detail. “Oh, and she gave me my first orgasm. But we’re just friends.”
Does that explain Oakley Bloom? At least, maybe her relationship with her.

WARDROBE MEME ! / aka how many times can ana use the word chunky.
stephanie wilkerson dresses predominantly for COMFORT, but it also has to be noted that while she likes clothes that she feels comfortable in, she also dresses to cover her figure. she is large, she is plus size, she is fat, and she has a lot of issues with her body shape and size, as well as scars that are littered across her thighs, and one large one across her decolletage. large sweaters ( her favourite is a good, chunky cable knit! ) and hoodies cover her nicely ( she has so many of these, and is in them almost constantly ).
she likes colour, although she tends to stick to muted tones, or darker shades. she is particularly fond of blues, greens, and dulled oranges and yellows, as well as patterns. as an artist and a wlw, she has an eye for styles and colours that shouldn't work, that are entirely ugly, and she looks great wearing them.
steph is mad about denim! she loves it, and often layers a good denim jacket with a hoodie, or with plaid tied around her waist. she also likes graphic tees, and her favourite shoe is a heavy boot, but often with a floral touch that catches people by surprise.
when it comes to accessories, steph will never have enough hats, of every style, but particularly caps, beanies and sun hats. she layers bracelets on top of bracelets on her wrists, and has a selection of watches, often with chunky straps rather than anything dainty. every ( denim ) surface is covered in pins. she is always wearing massive, fluffy socks, and often more than one pair: her feet get cold.
