Stephanie had hit the jackpot. She had been heading back to base to get cleaned up after a fight with Condiment King, grumbling all the while. She stopped on a rooftop after some mayo from her hair had fallen into her face.
Suddenly, there was no mayo. All of the condiments that she was covered with were now on the rooftop around her feet. She didn't even see this kid approach. "Huh?" She said without thinking
"Sorry." The kid, who looked like adoption bait smiled sheepishly as he used the hand that had density shifted the food off of her to rub the back of his neck. "I thought you would like that stuff off of you."
Somehow she convinced him to help her with the aftermath of fighting messy villains in exchange for snacks, but in a move of petty revenge she refused to tell the other bats how she managed to get clean so fast and not smell like mustard for a week after.
This, of course, leads to the whole bat clan attempting to stalk her to figure out her secret.

Young & Wild: Part 14
Daniel had ignored the escalating situation with his coach for the most part but things had come to a head when the team was getting chewed out at halftime because his directions weren’t working. Of course he regretted it later, but Daniel stood up and pointed it out. After that interaction, it was as though Daniel didn’t even exist to him.
After a day of training where he wasn’t spoken to at all, Daniel had all but made up his mind on what needed to happen. He went home and flung his bag down before kicking off his shoes. He immediately hear the soft clicking of toenails on the floor as Odin and Thor came to greet him. They both stopped to sniff and lick his hand, tails wagging so hard their whole bodies wiggled, before looking past him as if they thought someone else was coming in after him.
“I know, ” He laughed and patted Odin on the head. “I miss her too. She’s coming home soon.”
He took the dogs out for a walk and fixed a snack before sitting down and staring at his phone for a good ten minutes. Once he felt like he was in a better frame of mind, Daniel picked up his phone and dialed a number he had only used twice before.
Hello?
Hey, Mr. Henry. It’s Daniel…Agger.
He stood and started to pace, a nervous energy pulsing through his body, before he willed himself to sit down again.
Relax, Daniel, you’re my son in law, you can call me John.
Daniel nodded and made a note to calm himself.
Thank you. Um, I don’t want you to think that I’m trying to influence anything but am not feeling like I can play under Rodgers anymore. Not playing except for being subbed on in the last 3 minutes, he’s being very disrespectful. I need to talk to my agent and see if it’s possible, but I’d like to move back to Denmark.
There was a pause on the line and Daniel’s uncertainty began to grow again.
I’m sorry, Dan, I’m not really understanding why you’re calling. I can say to OK a transfer if that’s-
No, I wanted to explain my reasoning to you so you don’t feel blindsided. I haven’t said anything to Georgie yet and she gets the final say, if she wants to stay in Liverpool I’ll stay.
Alright. I appreciate that. Let me know if you need to do anything.
From that moment, Daniel felt lighter. It wasn’t as though leaving the club was a small decision, but he envisioned some sort of unnecessary family drama accompanying it.
Since the season would be over before Georgina returned from her trip to the States, they decided that she would meet him back in Copenhagen instead of flying in to England only to have to leave the next day. The first day the two of them were home consisted of lying about, watching Netflix and just spending time with one another. The next day, however, Georgina went to work on planning a surprise for Daniel.
Daniel yawned and stuffed the pillow back under his head before he stretched his arms out. He felt the weight next to him and expected to drape his arm over Georgina and doze off again only to realize that it was Thor sleeping next to him, not his wife. Sitting up, he stretched again.
When he walked into the kitchen, he smelled all sorts of delicious things. Standing in the doorway, he watched Georgina skillfully moving back and forth as she tended to the waffle iron and the skillet. On the table, he saw sliced fruit, juice, and coffee. The table was set and infant of his place sat a card in an envelope.
“Are you making me breakfast?”
Turning around, she smiled. “Why wouldn’t I?”
“Of course you would.” Daniel moved closer so he was able to wrap and arm around her waist and kiss her cheek. “It just makes me smile considering when we first met it was like you were allergic to it.”
Georgina rested her head on his shoulder briefly. “True, but I have you to thank for showing me that it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be.”
Taking a step back, she took Daniel by the hands and smiled. “Now, come on, let’s eat.”
Daniel sat down and looked at the spread before his eyes went back to Georgina. “Hey, Georgie?”
“Hmm?” She didn’t turn around, her attention deliberately focused on making another waffle as if she was trying to distract herself.
Drumming his fingers on the table, he didn’t quite know why he was so hesitant to bring this up. “How would you feel about…I’m thinking of leaving, going back home.”
“What?” The sudden note of panic in Georgina’s voice made Daniel realize that he hadn’t fully explained himself.
“The club.” He stood and approached her, making sure Georgina heard  him before he pulled her in against his chest.  “I’m thinking of leaving the club and playing in Copenhagen again.”
Georgina nodded and placed her hand against the small of his back. She waited a moment, enjoying the embrace, before responding to him. “That might actually work our better for us.”
“What do you mean?” He rested his chin atop her head before stepping back.
Georgina smiled and pointed towards the table. “Open your card.”
“Why do I have a card?” He raised an eye brow as he took a bite of cantaloupe.
He read the card silently before looking up to Georgina. “Glædelig fars dag? Happy Father’s Day?”
“Yeah.” She smiled. “It’s father’s day here, isn’t it?”
Puzzled, he tilted his head to the side trying to read her. “Well, right, but why would…”
Georgina balanced on the balls of her feet and smiled wider now as she could see the pieces falling to place in his mind.
“Georgie, are you…” He didn’t even finish the rest of his question before she gave a little nod.
Daniel quickly lifted her up and spun her around. “Oh my god, Georgie, that’s…”
Instead of finishing his sentence, he just held her tightly. “Georgie, that’s amazing. How…I mean, but when…”
“I had an idea,” Georgina rested her hand against Daniel’s cheek. “But I went to my doctor when I was in New York.”
He sat back down, holding her hands in his and just smiled. After a moment, Daniel seemed to remember what they were initially talking about. “Wait, I shouldn’t leave then-”
“I’m adaptable, Danny.” She gave his hands a little squeeze. “As long as I have you and the boys with me, I’ll be ok.”
When Daniel seemed to relax, Georgina nodded before she continued. “But why are we leaving England?”
“Long story short, my coach is an asshole and refuses to play me because we disagree on things.” He cleared his throat and then said something out loud that he hadn’t said to anyone else. “And I’m not sure my body can keep up at this level anymore.”
Georgina smiled and placed a hand on his cheek. “Truth be told, if I’m having a baby it would probably be easier to raise him or her in one country instead of two.”
“So you’re ok with this?” Daniel looked up at her with a certain vulnerability that she hadn’t seen before. “Nothing is set in stone yet.”
With a definitive nod, Georgina leaned in and kissed him. “Yes, Danny. Everything will be fine.”
True to his word, Georgina’s father became the final say on a transfer to Brøndby. Within the next two months, they moved back to Copenhagen full time but with space tight and it only being the two of them and the dogs, their minds quickly went towards finding something besides his apartment in the middle of the city. After looking around downtown, both quickly decided that something in the suburbs with more room, something similar to the house they have left in Liverpool, would be more desirable. That search eventually led them to Klampenborg where they found a house that went right up to the water.
With no actual job in Denmark, Georgina found herself passing the days by doing research on their new house and finding ways to decorate it that honored it’s history but was also tastefully modern. When she wasn’t doing that, she was outside with the dogs and a book or walking along the beach and watching the sail boats off in the distance. One of the things that first endeared the house to Georgina was how you could see across to Sweden on a clear day, it made her realize that nothing was too far away.
Daniel came home one afternoon and walked in to the living room to find Georgina curled up on the sofa, fast asleep. Sitting down by her side and kissed her temple, causing her to jolt awake.
“Shit,” Georgina mumbled as she checked the time. “I only meant to lay down for a minute. I wanted to have dinner ready for you when you got home.”
Offering only a patient smile, Daniel simply kissed her again.
“Why are you smiling?” She closed her eyes and yawned before leaning against him.
“Steph is having everyone over tonight and asked if we could make it.” Daniel stood and held out his hand to help Georgina stand as well. “So dinner is already taken care of.”
As she stood, Georgina wrapped her arms around Daniel’s neck and stretched again. “I guess that means I need to put on some real clothes.”
“Georgie, you’re five months pregnant, leggings are perfectly acceptable.” Resting his hand on her growing stomach, he kissed her cheek and then ruffled her hair. “But wear whatever will make you comfortable.”
Raising an eyebrow, she smirked. “Well thank you for your permission.”
“You know I never miss an opportunity for you to give me shit.” This time he smiled genuinely. “Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m starving.”
As soon as Daniel’s car pulled up to Stephanie’s place, both his sister and his mother practically burst out of the front door. There was a small part of him that thought they were overjoyed to see him but he quickly reminded himself that while they were always happy to see him, they were more more excited to see Georgina. Eventually, Daniel was able to usher everyone inside and his brother met him with a beer.
“I feel terrible we haven’t had everyone over to the new house yet,” Daniel over heard Georgina talking to his mother and sister. “But there are still boxes everywhere and-”
“Oh, come on, Babe,” Stephanie was talking now. “The last thing you need to worry about is entertaining us. Besides, we’ll all be over once the baby is born anyway so we’ll check it out then.”
“Speaking of the baby,” It was his mother’s turn now. “How are things going with the pregnancy?”
He heard the hesitation in Georgina’s voice. “All things considered, everything is fine right now. The doctor is just a little concerned that she’s on the smaller side.”
“Well, it’s not as though you’re an Amazon, you’re just a little thing.”
Daniel’s mother reassuring seemed to help Georgina relax.
“Right.” She let out a little laugh. “I’d rather her be on the smaller side as long as she’s healthy. It’s funny though, because she’ll be pretty calm, but then Danny comes along and talks to her and she just goes crazy.”
Daniel listened to a little bit more of their conversation, thankful that Georgina had something to focus her attention on. Between the baby and the new house, he was happy that she hadn’t picked up on how gingerly he’d move getting out of bed in the morning or that he’d come home with a limp sometimes. To be fair to her, it wasn’t obvious and Daniel did everything he could to hide any symptoms of a new injury simply because Georgina had enough on her mind and the last thing Daniel wanted to do was to give her something to worry about.  All things considered, Life after football was definitely promising.  He knew he’d be perfectly content in filling his days with Georgina and the little one on the way, with golf and riding his motorcycle, but Daniel wasn’t ready to stop just yet. Yes, the injuries were becoming more frequent, but he was managing them. As long as he could manage them, he would keep going.
